This thread is meant for only you guys and me, and I hope that you will use this place to communicate with each other rather than private messages. Feel free to talk about whatever you want in this thread, because it all serves to your team spirit. Here are the profiles of your members:
[strike]Darren/Lee 16 years old male from USA Strengths: RPGs, Creative Writing Weaknesses: Computers, Art/Graphics[/strike] [strike]Dragon Warrior 19 years old male from USA Strengths: Social Interaction, Creative Writing Weaknesses: Anime/Manga, Videogames/Computers[/strike] [strike]Kitty/Revey 16 years old female from USA Strengths: RPGs, Art/Graphics Weaknesses: Discussion/Debates[/strike] [strike]Peanut/Pumpkin 19 years old female from USA Strengths: Videogames/Computers, RPGs Weaknesses: Art/Graphics, Creative Writing[/strike]
Your first challenge is quite simple, and it?s the same for all four teams. First Challenge: Teaming Up In order to build up your team, you will have to decide upon several things. Here?s a task list that you must complete within a week, meaning everything must be done by January 27th.
1. First things first, each of you must introduce yourself to your team mates. How you do this is up to you, just at least tell them a little something about yourself. 2. Having your team named after an administrator doesn?t describe you guys very well, so why don?t you come up with a team name of your own. It can be whatever you want, within reason, and it will replace the name your team has now. Just don?t make it too long so that it?ll fit everywhere. 3. Then decide your team?s color out of those listed in the color-menu. The color must also clearly differ from those of all other teams, so one team cannot have plain red while another has dark red. Its first come first served with this one, so you might want to reserve a color you want at the main thread. 4. You also have to decide who will be your first Team Captain. You can do it by voting or by a battle of wills, whatever you choose. 5. Using your team?s new name and color, make a flag for your team to replace the holder I put to the top of this post. The flag must be 300x100 pixels in size, no more, no less. The flag must contain the name and color of your team, but nothing stops you from adding more details to it. You are free to use the flag as a banner in your signature if you so choose. 6. After these tasks, your chosen captain will report everything you?ve come up (captain, team name, color and flag) to the main OBS4 thread. The team with the most effective teamwork, the most describing name and the most creative flag will win this challenge, while the other three teams will face their first Team Council, where three players will be voted off. 7. Please note that if a player doesn?t post even once during this first challenge, he or she will be replaced by a standby player before the Team Councils.
If any questions rise about this challenge or about the use of this thread, don?t hesitate to ask. Now, Team James, GO!
Kitty
Yo! :3 Just makin' a quick intro post for myself, even though I'm late for school. xD;; Being 16, I'm a junior in high school. Most of the courses I'm taking are rather boring, except for Photo I and AP Chemistry. Lunch is pretty fun, too. ;D I spend almost all of my time with friends, except when I have crew practice or a choir concert or something. One of my favorite things to do is invite them over to my house and watch a marathon of movies. I know it sounds kinda boring, but you have no idea how much fun we all have, lol. We also spend a lot of time at the local pizza restaurant. Those who work there even know all of our names now. >_>; My captain nomination is Dragon Warrior. He's good at being in charge. ;P My suggestion for a team color would be... some kind of blue! @_@! And you'll have to work out a team name on your own. Naming things is extremely difficult for me because I'm so damn indecisive, lol. But yeah. That's all for now. ^_^
Rachmaninoff
All right time to introduce myself: I?m 26 and currently in College working on my Masters Degree in Music, my instrument of choice being the Cello. At this point my classes are far from boring as getting into more depth as far as music theory, music education and choral conducting is concerned is very enjoyable. Like Kitty, I spend a fair amount of my spare time with my friends. In the summer?s we go hiking on trails, as there are a lot of nice hikes one can do in the mountains here and on weekends we almost always either go out to a movie or get together at someone?s house to watch movies. So in no way does it sound boring Kitty. ;) I second the nomination of Dragon Warrior as the team captain as I trust my fellow teammates judgment in this. And looking at our strengths and weaknesses I nominate Kitty to help with the design of the flag since my own graphic skills are fairly limited, and blue is a great color so that works for me as well. As for the team name, I suggest we go with The Warrior?s as a play off of Dragon Warrior?s own name. In other words we are his warriors, unless the others think that?s a bit lame. It?s the only name I can think of at the moment though.
TheResplendent
1. A formal introduction it is then: -Name/Age/Basics:As the handy little quick profile feature in Sandy's first post has told you, my name is Matt, my name here on OB is BKstyles. I am 21 years of age and I am from New York. -Strength and Weakness Elaboration: Despite my strengths reading out only Creative Writing and RPGs, I also believe that my strength in writing transliterates easily to my skills in speaking, and therefore I can debate as easily in writing as I can through words. Thus I feel my strengths lay with anything involving my imagination, articulation, and logical deduction and reasoning. Aside from those, based on the standards of how our strengths should be measured according to the OBS4 system, I am also essentially strong in Video Games (RPGs, FPS, and Fighting Game specialist). Hooray for the nerd in me =). My weaknesses are indeed anything that involves taking physical action in art (drawing, painting, even gfx). While I have an appreciation for good art, I simply cannot make it myself no matter how hard I try :p . I am actually taking a drawing class this upcoming semester to see if I can improve in some way. -School/Work:I am a college student, majoring in Film and Media, minoring in Psychology. I typically enjoy my classes, especially if they are psych classes. I am currently under consideration for an office job at a local funeral home (nothing having to do with the dead bodies mind you, just the administrative duties) since I was unable to procure my more desired position working at a Gamestop. -Movies: I mostly enjoy martial arts and action movies. Especially Jet Li or Tony Jaa movies, and any James Bond movie. John Travolta is however my all time favorite actor. Some particular favorite movies include FFVII: Advent Children, Interview with the Vampire, Hero, Fight Club, and Face/Off. -Food: I love Quiznos and Taco Bell =). -Music: Aerosmith, RHCP, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, The Black Mages, FLOW, UVERworld, Orange Range, Ayumi Hamasaki just to name a few. 2. Alright i'll pitch an idea. Just so we have something out there to play around with until someone else proposes something: Sapientes Gladio - Name taken from a particular game, but the meaning of the name i believe is well rounded (Sages of the Sword) as it describes our team as not only being wise, creative and intellegent but metaphorically and equally capable on the flipside. Or the "Sword" itself can be representative of the competition itself as a sword is most obviously a tool for defeating one another in combat, it's latent functions are that of decision and representation. It is used to decide many aspects of life other then whether it is kept or not. In the past swords were used to decide status, such as when an individual was knighted by a King. Or the sword itself that decided who would be King during a particular time, the sword known as Excalibur. Ceremonial swords would be used to display and represent power, with such examples of such being the Sword of Justice used to grant executioners power that is representative of the law in certain times. Claiming ourselves as the Sages of the Sword, it says that we not only control but we are masters of everything the sword and therefore this competition represents, which is power, status, and the ability to defeat our opposition. Sorry if that seems a bit obscure, just thinking off the top of my head at the moment. 3. I vote either Dark Red or Dark Slate Gray, but I will be fine with anything chosen. 4. I would very much like to undertake this role myself, but I will heed the majority's decisions. If I were to choose another invidual it too would be Dragon Warrior. 5. From what I see, we have one proficient GFX artist in the group so once we figure everything out I guess it will be up to Kitty to present us with the finished product. My apologies if anyone else is a GFX artist and i've overlooked them, I just went with who I know is for sure. On some side notes, I'd just like to say that I already know Kitty, and am looking forward to getting to know Dragon Warrior, Peanut, and Rachmaninoff better as the competition plays out =) Edit - A nifty little idea to further the interactivity between one another, though it may seem more useful to myself then it will to others for I am not entirely sure on how well everyone else knows each other. But there must be many things that we all do not know about one another despite how much we may know. So I will address one question to each member in the form of an interview in hopes to learn more about them. Each member can do the same, and as their questions are answered we may all learn at the same time by reading them and eventually everyone will have answered a total of 4 questions, one from each of their teammates. I will start: -Kitty: I know that like myself (and i'm sure many others on the board) you want to eventually visit another country other then the U.S, in both of our cases it seems the first one we'd like to visit is Japan. My question is what would be the very first thing you'd like to do there, that you would not be able to do where you currently live? -Dragon Warrior: To my understanding you are a fan of Pirates, and have probably seen both Pirates of the Carribbean movies. My questin to you is who do you think would have made a great alternate actor for Captain Jack Sparrow if Johnny Depp could not do the role, and why? -Peanut: Though I suspect that Mameha and Pumpkin have both been influenced by Memoirs of a Geisha, my question to you involves wanting to know the origins of your current and past usernames here on OB. -Rachmaninoff: Clearly you have a heightened appreciation of music, including forms of classical music (though i may be misinterpreting). My question to you is who are some of your favorite composers, and what style of music has influenced you the most?
Pumpkin
Errrm...mmkay. I'm totally stealing some of BK's style but I don't care cause I don't feel like being creative enough right now cause I simply <3 the way he formatted it. So there. Name/Age/Basics: My real name is Katie a.k.a Ghetto Supastah. People refer to me as Kadee or Dee however. I'm 19 years old and I'm a college student from Northern California. I don't take life seriously, and I'm always acting like a complete dork because I enjoy making people feel good. I'm not trying to be conceited when I say that I can become friends with any different type of person simply because I'm understanding and never judge people. You never know how someone is until you really get to know them, I've learned that the hard way. I'm confident with myself even though I know I'm never going to be perfect like Angelina Jolie. Eat your heart out. Anyhow, I'm majoring in English but I have both an interest in fashion design and Journalism. I'm a very major dance freak which may become a suprise from you and have been dancing since I was seven. I love high heels and perfumes and all that girl stuff. But I also like playing Tennis. I get a long better with guys then I do girls. I play mmorpgs which shocks people (Girls? Videogames? Nah!) I'm going to be one of the first people to play vanguard like a nerd on prozac and I enjoy roleplaying occasionally. That about sums up the basics about me. Onwards....the person who I would most consider best for leadership position, this is going to be a shocker, is who else but Dragon Warrior. I've known him for quite some time and I think he's experienced enough of a job to do it. As far as the graphics go, I see some pressure going onto kitty doing the job but as long as it's not me (you don't even want to go there) then everything should be fine. Personally for color I think we should go for a sage green or turquoise. While I love your name for the team BKStyles, it seems a bit too long for me. I'd be opt to go for "Sapientes" because I think that would be a very elegant sounding name and green like a "serpent" just seems like it would make a perfect fit. But that may just be me.
Peanut: Though I suspect that Mameha and Pumpkin have both been influenced by Memoirs of a Geisha, my question to you involves wanting to know the origins of your current and past usernames here on OB.
Ready for the list? Here it goes.

Pumpkin: As you guessed, Pumpkin WAS named after Memoirs of a Geisha character. I fell in love with her personality like a rabid fangirl, especially because I always seem to love the villan or betrayal plots in movies/books. I guess it makes everything so realistic and even though Pumpkin betrayed Sayuri as revenge, I felt she did have a point even though what she did was messed up. I also first joined the forums and needed a name fast, Pumpkin just came to my mind as I was reading the book at the time.
Mameha: Another character from the book, I also loved the fact that she was so different. However, I still <3 Pumpkin better. Ehehe.
Dee: Dee is obviously my nickname from my real name. Around this time, many mods & members have used their real name as their username. I decided to give it a shot. Too bad it didn't last long.
Peanut : Spur of the moment change. Honestly I thought Peanut was really cute and different. I wanted something similar to Pumpkin, and this just came up momentarily. It was either Peanut or Silk.
That's it. As far as questions for the rest of you....I'll edit this later for right now I'm clueless as to what to ask. EDIT: P.S. - I would like to get to know all the rest of you better as well, as long as your not cannibals. That is all.
Dragon Warrior
1. Introduction Of The DW
Okay, so I'm Dragon Warrior, as you know. My real name is Gavin Kendrick Brown. My main passions are movies and music. I plan to become a famous film actor who directs, writes, and stars in his own movies. If all else fails, I'll join a rock band. I'm currently in a rock band called Red Sky Romance, and we're alternative indie pop rock (quite the genre, I know). I play the keyboard/piano for the band as well as lead vocals (so, yes, I sing, but poorly, I'd say). So there, I'm based around acting and playing music. But I like to just about anything else too. I draw, do photography, graphic design, sports, hang with friends, go to the movies, run, write (big time!), make independent films, make cartoons (including animated ones, as some of you may know), and etc. I just graduated high school last year and now attend a small community college to get my grounds before transferring to the big Michigan State University next Fall as a Theatre Major. I'm a very optimistic person and love life. I try to make the best of it, even if I'm stuck working at McDonalds right now as the drive-thru order-taker/dishwasher/laundry washer/everything else under the sun extraordinaire. I'm always on the run now, whether it's with college, the two plays I'm currently starring in, or--as I said before--living in Hell's Outhouse (AKA, work). My personality consists of, as I said before, a positive outlook on things. I try to be as nice as I can to everyone and though I have the tendency to come off as conceited, it's all just for humor purposes and I'm truely not too full of myself. I know some people once long ago didn't like me for that particular reason. I also tried ruling the boards once and overthrowing James, but that's another story. Humor is my crutch. I use it for almost everything, trying to keep laughter in my life. I love to make people laugh and feel better--it is truely one of the best feelings you'll ever have. I'm a big time romantic. Despite what some may say, it is not weak to go out of your way to do something special for someone you care for. I go to tremendous lengths to do romantic things for girls. I like to prove nice guys do exist. That's about it for me. I do love friends and of course I'd like to get to know you all better (even you, BK, because you're so insistant we all get lovey dovey ;) Haha). So here I am. I'm ready to take on the world.
2. It's All In The Name
Names are difficult to choose, but I have a trillion to select from. I have no idea what you guys are really going for, but if we're looking for something simple like The Desperados or what-have-you, I have a few that may work. I mean, I'm all for the ones you guys are spouting out. We just really need to come down and decide on one. Uhh, I'll just throw some out there and we can all decide on something as time rolls on (hopefully soon).

The (Insert Color) Daggers- This name matches with our color. Whatever color we choose can be inserted into the name. If Red was chosen, for example, we'd be The Red Daggers.
The Coffee Consumers- Just for fun, it's an unusual name, I know. I thought it was quirky. We don't all necessarily drink coffee (I rarely do, unless it's cappachino). But fun fun!
The Knights On The Town- Oh yes. Oh yes. You know it.
The Hat Thieves- Coming from a story idea I had a while ago, The Hat Thieves were a robber gang. I just think it's fun. And we can all wear different stylish hats to represent ourselves :D Yay!
The Laugh Out Louds- LOL. 'Nuff said.
The (Insert Color) Rooks- Same thing as the Daggers one. Our team color goes in it. But Rooks is different, in terms to chess. Castles in chess are the shiz.
Now I dunno if we can have team themes, but I think it'd be kind of cool if we did somewhat have a theme. Being in a rock band, I know the friendship between bandmates and how strong it can be. You rely on each other completely. If someone messes their part up, the whole song goes down. It's truely a group effort. That's why I think we should theme our team as a band. Rock band, punk band, whatever band. Just a band. Some of my names above might come off sounding like band names (particularly because some of them were old selections for my band back when I was naming it). I just think it'd be neat and I'm throwing it out there. Just so you guys can give me your two cents. Maybe you guys would want a different theme. Throw it out there.
3. Shades Of LOL
Besides black and white (which aren't really colors, scientifically), I adore green. So naturally I'd back that up. But apparently the larger vote in the group is for a blue color. Now if I just go lay on my back and say, "I'll let you guys decide," things will never be done because we'll all do that. Haha. So I'll root for my green anyhow.
4. Aye, Aye, Cap'n!
Though I will gladly accept the job as Team Captain, I will still nominate BKstyles for the job 'cause he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. And it's crazy--I didn't even realize when I put "Captain" as my name that if I got Team Captain, it'd match. Funny. I was just referring to pirate captains... Haha.
5. Represent!
I, myself, like to graphic design, but I am not nearly as good as Kitty. I will definitely back everyone up in saying she should make our flag, if she wishes. Cheers to you, Kitty!
EXTRA: To BKstyles:
You know, I have contemplated that before. It's a hard choice to make because you're so used to seeing Depp do it and, quite frankly, master it. Then again, of course he masters his own creation. Who better knows their own work than themself? We have not seen anyone else play Jack Sparrow, so we cannot say whether Depp is truely the best or not. But I really can't say I can think of actors that would do a better job. I'm really digging deep into my actor database of knowledge in my brain and it's hard. I think of all the actors who are geniuses at character development: Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, etc. But not even they could do the job justice because they wouldn't feel the part, I don't think. Of course, they'd make Sparrow completely different. And that's where your question opens to many more views. More or less, there are actors I'd love to see play the part, but I don't know if anyone can do Depp's Sparrow better than Depp himself. The man's genius with the parts he plays. He's a one-of-a-kind, jack of all trades actor who can't be touched talent-wise. And I'm sure I sound like a giddy Depp fanboy right now, but I'm actually not an amazingly large fan of his work (he just happens to be in a lot of what I like). From an actor's point of view, he is just good at what he does. And I hope to become even half as close to what he's accomplished someday when I too become a film actor. Sorry, I didn't fully answer your question, but I'm afraid I have no true answer.

Dragon Warrior
Haha, honestly, that was the name I just pulled out of a hat quickly, but I actually like it the most out of my suggestions too. Funny thing is I never use the phrase "LOL" unless I'm parodying it ;) Hehe. So, as of right now, the official things are: Team Color: Green Team Captain: DW Flag Creator: Kitty I think we've all agreed Kitty should make the flag, so it's now up to her to accept and then make it. We just need to officially decide on our team name.
Kitty
It's about time I post again since everyone else has, and they've also elaborated much more than I did, lol. (You guys trying' to show me up, huh?! ;3) I'll follow BK's format, as everyone else has and, like Peanut, I'm too lazy to come up with my own. xD 1. Name/Age/Basics My name is Reveille, but everyone calls me Rev, Revey or Kitty, on and outside of the 'Interweb'. Like I said before, I'm 16 and still in high school, which makes me the youngest member on the team, though that doesn't bother me at all. I'm used to being younger than all my friends/classmates/etc, hehe. As for where I hail from, I'm a North Carolina-born, California native who lives in New York. Yeah. Just try and make that sentence make sense, lol. 2. Team Captain/Color/Flag/Name The Laugh Out Louds is definitely the name I'd go with. It suits me perfectly, seeing as I've already said it twice in this post. O: BK's name is creative, but I've never heard of the game myself, so it didn't really make that much sense to me. A name that everyone would recognize, like Laugh Out Louds, seems like the better choice to me. It seems that my initial vote has unanimously deemed (aside from his own vote) Dragon Warrior our Team Captain. So... congrats, Cap'n. ;D It also seems like I've been announced our teams flag-maker, so I'll have to get right on that! I'll make a few different copies, assuming that our color is green (though I was rooting for blue ? oh well) and our name is the LOLs. If anyone is opposed to the color or name, please let me know. :3 3. In Response to Matt If I ever make it to Japan (which, hopefully, I will fairly soon), I'm most looking forward to being able to master the language. My private lessons have certainly taught me a lot, but not being able to converse with someone who speaks Japanese fluently outside of my tutor's home makes it hard for me to learn as much as I'd like to. Another thing I'm looking forward to is the food. I'm a rather picky eater, but I've made a promise to myself that I will try anything and everything I'm introduced to anyway (except for fugu; I'm not about to risk my life for a piece of fish, lol). Finally, I'm looking forward to living away from family, which will be an especially helpful experience if I manage to go there before college as an exchange student for half a year or so. I'll be able to experience living with and getting to know new people, which I've been told by numerous people is an extremely useful ability to have going in as a freshman in college.
Dragon Warrior
Then it looks like it's all decided. I'm captain, our color is Green, Kitty's the flag maker, and we're The Laugh Out Louds. Darren's truely the last one to have to put in on the vote. It's up to him now. But since this is all being pressured for time, I'd say try making some flags right now, Kitty ;) Green and that say "The Laugh Out Louds." Just so we'll be ready for anything.
TheResplendent
You guys know the point of the interview was so that you could all ask things as well =P. Though you don't have to. It looks like we're pretty much done with the exception of the flag, so all of our hopes rest on Revey's shoulders now :P. Also, DW I sent you a PM about something concerning the official judgement. Dragon Warrior
Yep, and I'll check it in a second, BK ;) Haha. I just didn't realize you wanted us to ask questions too. Now looking back at your post, I noticed you said that. Boy, do I feel silly. Haha. Okay... To BK: Have you ever made any independent films? If so, what were they? If not, do you plan to before getting involved in the actual career? To Kitty: Do you still use Photoshop for your graphics or have you gone toward different programs? To My Peanut :): How has everything been?! It's been ages! Yeesh. Okay, anyways, how's the college life over there? I know mine is crazy, but I haven't heard about yours in a while. To Rach: Since music is your life, do you plan to ever compose and record music in the future?
Kitty
Don't worry guys - I've already got a banner in the works! :'D I'll PM the first draft to you all when it's finished. ^__^ In regards to your question, DW, I do still use Photoshop for the majority of my graphics. However, I'm also a [strike]wannabe[/strike] artist, and since I've gotten a tablet, I've been using programs like OpenCanvas and Flash to doodle and color sketches in. But I'm definetly the most comfortable using Photoshop. :
TheResplendent
To BK: Have you ever made any independent films? If so, what were they? If not, do you plan to before getting involved in the actual career?
Hm, well while i've never stepped foot into an independent production studio I have been in several student independent films. Though i've never actually directed one, i was co-director (in which I did pretty much most of the work anyway) in one. It took place during the time of WWII, involving perspectives from being in an actual nazi concentration camp from both POVs (nazis and victims). Not exactly something that would take priority on my personal list of stories i'd love write/direct but it was not under my control at the time anyhow. Still, it was a rather enjoyable project. I'd like to do quite a few before actually trying to break into the industry. One of the upcoming classes that I'll have to take for my major will involve making a film, hopefully from a free script of our choice. Movies are not the only forms of media/tv that I'd like to conquer though, many ideas I have in mind would be better suited as animes or even video games then movies. I like to be as versatile as possible, but my primary focus will indeed be with films based either on my own original scripts or certain other ones that i'd like to either re-do or convert. Rachmaninoff
First of all I?m sorry I wasn?t around the other day. I?ve been feeling under the weather lately, though today I seem to be better.
-Rachmaninoff:[/b'] Clearly you have a heightened appreciation of music, including forms of classical music (though i may be misinterpreting). My question to you is who are some of your favorite composers, and what style of music has influenced you the most?
Actually that would be more of a I appreciate music in that I love the music that was composed during the classical and romantic era?s of music. Most current music does not really interest me though I do enjoy hearing how current shows take older music and build a melody or entire theme around older pieces of work, or outright uses them. Like the Harlock Saga which used a story loosely Based on the German medieval epic poem "The Song of the Nibelungen," something that the German composer Richard Wagner took 21 years to complete that four-part grand opera. I can safely say that it is the only anime show that had me hooked in less than thirty seconds of the opening beginning even if it only used music from the segment of the opera as it applied to the corresponding segment of the original story. As for what style has influenced me the most, when I was younger I loved Mozart, I still do, I loved the neat precision of how his pieces are performed. Then other composers such as Brahms and Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff who had more expressive and emotional tones to their music were what I fell in love with later on. Rachmaninoff being my favorite obviously. Lets see, as for more current composers, or rather ones that have produced works while I am actually alive, I?ve always admired the work of John Williams. I?ve collected quite a few of the soundtracks from movies he has worked on.
P.S. - I would like to get to know all the rest of you better as well, as long as your not cannibals. That is all.[/size']
I can guarantee you that there is no danger of that. ;)
I certainly have no objection to what?s been done so far, it looks great.
To Rach:[/b'] Since music is your life, do you plan to ever compose and record music in the future?
At this point I am undecided. I have done some composing as is required for school, but I am not happy with it. So for now, no. Maybe later I will once I get my Doctorate since my primary goal is to eventually teach others to play the cello in a university setting, or to teach other types of music classes such as theory and history. Dragon Warrior
Okay, my LOLanauts, our entry was first up and we're now in business. The flag looks superb thanks to Kitty. If anyone has objections and wishes to make a change, do post now. I think we're off to a good start ;) To BK: Oh, well, I meant student independent films. That's all I do for now myself. I've made well over two hours of short movies with my pals and it's great fun. You just need a camera and a program to edit it and you're set! To Rach: I think most artists doubt their work at first. I know I doubt all my songs eventually, despite how much I like them when I first start writing them.
TheResplendent
Everything looks awesome. Kitty you are one talented...um...kitty ^_^. The splash of our team in the main OBS thread is sick too, kudos to DW big time for that piece of art. Now everyone is gonna try to out-do us, heh. In reference to your answer Darren, I definitly know what that's like. It's the same i believe for many professions that involve creation through writing. Whether it be music, stories, scripts, etc etc. It's like DW said already, doubt and dis-satisfaction come naturally i think. At least at first. It's why i'm greatful i'm faster on a keyboard than I am with a pen, i can just delete or put something aside instead of having piles of crumpled up paper  . As for your musical preferences, I've actually heard of and like very much The Song of the Nibelungen (which will probably surprise you, lol). I am a fan of most Baroque composers, especially Monteverdi and Bach (Baroque is pretty much the first era of music in history i really started to appreciate, though it is not the only). Mozart as well however, I am indeed a fan of. Anywho, it seems we sit and wait for our oppositions now.
Dragon Warrior
Thanks, BK. I think we did pretty dang well this round. We pulled through together and made some fantastic stuff. I can see this being a good competition ahead of us :)
TheResplendent
Thanks, BK. I think we did pretty dang well this round. We pulled through together and made some fantastic stuff. I can see this being a good competition ahead of us :)
What we talked about looks good, DW. Concise and meaningful. In the meantime let's keep things going here so it doesn't look like we're simply wasting time for the other teams to get their stuff in. Though other teams have pretty much gone the way of the Q&A, the interview idea was a bit different so I thought i'd put another little twist on a used concept. Since we are the LOLs, perhaps we should share some laugh-worthy banter with one another. So i'll jump-start it with these little themed questions and suggestions: 1) Who is your favorite comedian? Either stand up or movie actor/actress. 2) Share 3 of your favorite jokes with us, let's keep em clean for the most part though. At least no racial/sexual jokes (though I know we've probably heard our share) 3) Share with us a funny incident that happened in your life. Something you did with your friends, something accidental, maybe a botched move in driver's ed? It can be anything you feel we could get a good laugh out of, perhaps without incriminating yourself =). 4) If LOL was not the common slang to express laughter or acknowledgement on the internet to things that warrant such responses, what other 3 letters should be? And what would they stand for?
Kitty
It looks like I get to be the first one to say CONGRATS TEAM! ^o^ We did awesome this round, and hopefully we'll continue to kick butt! xD As for your questions BK, I'm not the greatest question answer-er, so I think I'll pass for now. ^_^;; But I do know that the answer to your first question for me has to be Jim Carrey. I just luff him so much, lol. x3
TheResplendent
Hm, didn't expect it to finish early. Then again I was going based on the time here though. In any case big congrats to us  . I knew we'd win, our name and flag definitly spewed creativity and I'm glad we got commented for that. Though i'm not sure what was meant by a power struggle, i merely stated that if I were to be voted i'd do my best, but ultimatley i casted my vote for DW as well. The choice of captain was pretty unanimous. No dissension in our ranks, though if the other teams think so because of Sandy's comments then it just puts them more off guard :p. Big ups to our cap DW and out GFX artist Kitty. Let's keep the momentum rolling into the next challenge. I guess everyone can still share some stories/jokes/answer the questions if they want, suppose it doesn't only have to be down time to chat amongst ourselves. I can't wait for the next challenge, though.

Rachmaninoff
We've got quite the team here and I hope I can live up to it. I also hope the next challenge does not include graphics as I feel like I didn't get to participate as much as I could have. And I want to able to support the team more after all of you did such a great job with everything. Here's to our continued success. Cheers! Dragon Warrior
Yes, congratulations team. You all deserved it with your hard dedication and awesome teamwork. I, too, don't understand the whole power struggle over captain, for I thought we came to a decision quite smoothly. But I s'pose it's what Sandy sees in the end anyways. Nice questions, BK. I'll try and answer these as best as I can: 1) Who is your favorite comedian? Either stand up or movie actor/actress.
I love stand-up comedy--don't get me wrong. I do it myself, actually. But I can't say I have a favorite stand-up comedian. As far as comedy actors go, I have several. But we can all say Jim Carrey is by far one of the best. He's more innovative than most. Him and Robin Williams. I'm also a big fan of Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, and Vince Vaughn. We can't forget Adam Sandler!
2) Share 3 of your favorite jokes with us, let's keep em clean for the most part though. At least no racial/sexual jokes (though I know we've probably heard our share)
I've been known to be King of Pick Up lines. I'd say those are some of my best jokes. I know a lot of them can be corny, but I guess most of my jokes are kind of inappropriate and shouldn't be said here. I'll throw out some pick up lines, though:

"You dropped something... my jaw!"
"Excuse me, ma'am, I'm a treasure hunter. May I investigate your chest?"
Okay... that last one was kind of dirty =/
Unless the jokes in my stories I write count, I guess I don't really have many appropriate jokes.
3) Share with us a funny incident that happened in your life. Something you did with your friends, something accidental, maybe a botched move in driver's ed? It can be anything you feel we could get a good laugh out of, perhaps without incriminating yourself =).
One time, I saw a hole in the school ceiling in the Broadcasting room. My friend and I crawled up into it, walked around in the ceiling until we were above a random classroom, then we fell through the ceiling and landed on tables. The class in there was startled. We just stood up, looked around and I said, "This isn't where we parked our car." Then we walked out silently. What's probably funnier is we didn't get in trouble.
4) If LOL was not the common slang to express laughter or acknowledgement on the internet to things that warrant such responses, what other 3 letters should be? And what would they stand for?
TFH- That's Frickin' Hilarious :)
What good times, eh? :^D Ready for the next round, folks?
