konske
ALright, here it is. This is it. Here are the eight that have been allowed in the rp. IT was hard, and well, I think I have made the right choice, what I did choose should make this alot more interesting. And without further adue, here you all go. Eca-Of the Water-lostvoice/Oko Adin- Of the Light-True Angel/Riiko Sa-Of the Darkness-Wings of Death/Ashara Lia-Of the Wind-Knuckles' Girl/Amelia Young Dom-Of the Earth-ForestCrusader/Garrett Ject-Of the Lightning-Quicksilver/Mark Nie-Of the Fire-Konske/Chase Del-Of the Ice-Sazabi/Tray I am sorry for the ones that did not make it. It was hard, I will be honnest. Well, here goes the intro I guess you could say. IC: A single person looked up at the sky and nodded. A tear was falling down her face. She was the only one. The messenger, and she was unsure of how to do her job. She knew that at one point, she would have to do this, but until that day, she never wanted to think about it. It only meant one thing, something was happening somewhere that could change the outcome of the entire planet, and there were eight people that could prevent the worst. Thats not ture, she said to herself, they were not just people, they were the new Demigods, the new Chosen Eight, and she knew in her heart that none of them knew of what they were able to do. Of what they had in store for their future, what could happen to them if they do not make it. She smiled to herself and shook her head. She could not be thinking those kind of thoughts, that was not right. She had to have faith, she knew the outcome, no, that was not right either, she beleaved the outcome that was told in the scriptures. The Chosen Eight will be reborn, and within the new ashes, eight new warriors shall be born. With them, a new age will begin, and they will lead the world into a time of peace and prosperity. The woman smiled again and looked up into the air. She closed her eyes and started to talk in her head. She nest out a message, one only the Chosen Eight would be able to hear, she only hoped that they would fallow what she asked. "Please, the Chosen, I beg of you, please, you must come and meet me here. This mountian, Mount. Sot is the birthplace for you. You must return and as quickly as you possibly can. All eight of you must get here. Something is happening and only you eight will have a chance in making the change. So, I beg of you, hurry. I do not know how much time is left until it all lost." Another tear left her cheek as she sat down. She would wait. She would wait forever until the eight finally decied to show. She only hoped it would be soon. For, something was in the making, and not a sould knew what was to be of the world. There yo all go. For your first post, tell how you get there. After that, the fun will really begin. The Enemy
Mark silently waited for his name to be called in the latest tournament arena. He stared upon Mt. Sot,, a mass of a mountain that towered over his village, even though it was several towns away . He then got an interesting message in his head and was compelled to follow it. "Next up the ripper Roran vs. The lightning wonder, The thundering destroyer, The town and world champion! Mark!!!" The crowd surrounding the ring went up into chaotic cheering when Mark began his ascension of the stairs into it. His opponent, Roran, was a short skinny man with quick jabs and large katars (punching daggers) jutting from his knuckles. He got a feel for his daggers punching and jabbing into the air in front of him as Mark entered the ring. Mark wasn't too tall, merely about 6 feet high, but Roran's shortness made Mark look like a giant. Mark reached into his vest and drew out his trusted twin axes. The match begun shortly after with the banging of a gong. Roran maid the first move, thinking he was faster than Mark he could end the match quickly. He punched forward towards Marks lower rib cage. Mark side-stepped and deflected the attack with the face of his right hand axe. Roran was thrown off balance and caught off guard, but he got his footing back in control before Mark could take advantage of it. Roran attacked again fainting, he stabbed forward once more but pulled his punch and slashed with his other hand down near Marks knees. Mark jumped in place, lifting his legs to his chest but not moving his torso more than a few inches. Then sharply handed on Roran's arm with a sickening crack from his opponents elbow. Roran screamed in pain and fell to his knees, begging to stop the fight. Mark simply stepped off his arm casually and looked back at him for another last attempt to win. His expectancy was met when Roran heaved his hand at Marks legs once more. Mark threw his left hand axe down and stepped back. The axe cleaved hard into the ground with enough blade out of the flooring to still block Roran's attack. Mark then spun his feet and turned his waist 90 degrees while throwing his second axe downwards also. This time the axe cut swiftly threw Rorans arm, slicing the bone like paper. Roran let out another loud scream and fell to the ground completely,, blood flowing all over the arena's base. The referee clearly saw that Roran could no longer fight and declared Mark the winner of that round. Mark bent slightly and without a word dislodged his axes and clipped them back into his belt sheathes, concealing then under his vest once again. Mark then walked out of the ring and over to the ref. He whispered something into his ear and kept walking towards the tournaments managers. A fear fell over them as they witnessed Marks grisly approach. The ref. broke their silent screams with the screams of himself. "Mark has dropped out of the tournament! He will get prize money for second place victory!" This news washed the managers of their fear and doubt. They calmly and gladly handed over the money in the form of a small sack of gold coins to the still eerily quiet Mark. He took the money without saying a word, and almost without making any sound at all, and walked out of town. The money he got would pay his trip to the enormous mountain. Leaving the town itself with no sound but the grass cracking under his feet, Mark slowly walked to his destiny. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: I'll get to the mountain tommarrow sometime
P.J. McKrafty
Garrett entered a cave he made into a hillside with some food he bought in town. He placed the food down next to his bed roll and started eating. He sat alone as he was accustomed to. He liked having company but he didn't mind eating alone. He finished his meal and laid back onto his bedroll. He reached into his bag and pulled out a roughly shaped gem. He started touching it and somehow manipulating it into a shape he found suitable for the color and clarity of the gem. this was an emerald and his favorite of all of the gems. He spun his finger around and made it into a spiral tower shape. Most of his gems were smooth and that was one of the main reasons people would buy them from him at such a high price. He didn't make too many of these saying "If I did this as a job what would I do for a hobby." He stared at the gem and looked at it with the light from his fire shining through it. he did what he usually did with gems he had no need to sell. He sat it on the floor in hopes someone would find it and appreciate it as much as he did. Garrett then laid back on his bed roll and closed his eyes. "Please, the Chosen, I beg of you, please, you must come and meet me here. This mountain, Mount. Sot is the birthplace for you. You must return and as quickly as you possibly can. All eight of you must get here. Something is happening and only you eight will have a chance in making the change. So, I beg of you, hurry. I do not know how much time is left until it all lost." cried a voice that sounded to be in the cave with Garrett. "Hello?" Garrett said aloud looking around the cave. Nothing. The words were spoken so clearly that Garrett couldn't get them out of his head. The voice sounded like she was in peril. Garrett wasted to time. He started packing his things. He had been in the area of Mount. Sot before. He saw it but never scaled it. He knew that if he traveled through the night he might be able to make it to the summit by early morning the day after tomorrow. He put his pack on his back and turned to the cave and spun his hand 180 degrees. The ground under is fire spun underground like it was on a swivel platform. Garrett then set out to the summit. He walked for hours and hours taking breaks here and there and taking a couple short naps so he wouldn't get too tired. He was used to this kind of travel. He liked it, he had been wandering for eight years now and he never once regretted deciding to wander instead of settle down. after the tragedies he has faced in his life he had learned that settling down is a luxury he cannot afford given his abilities. After almost two days of travel Garrett made it to the bottom of the enormous mountain. Garrett looked at it in awe of its great size. and he was supposed to making it to the summit. He sighed and started up the narrow path of the mountain not knowing what awaited him at the top. "Seven more, there were going to be eight people at the top of this mountain," Garrett though to himself as he walked along the path. "Maybe they will have answers of why I have these abilities, maybe they will have abilities too." Garrett was getting excited about this meeting of great peril now. He looked up one of the slopes and saw it was just flat enough for him to take a shortcut. He walked over and placed his hand on the ground. Stairs suddenly formed along the edge. He walked up and up every certain point making more stairs out of the mountain. He had almost reached the top and was getting excited.
Xerxes
Ashara was outside of her school looking at Mount. Sot. She wondered what was callling to her when she heard,'Please, the Chosen, I beg of you, please, you must come and meet me here. This mountian, Mount. Sot is the birthplace for you. First I stare at the mountain which seems to be calling me then I hear this weird voice. Something has got to be up and it all points to that mountain. I have got to go and find out what is calling me,' she said as she got up and snuck out of school to go home. When she arrived home, she went to her room and opened up her closet. She pulled out her bow and arrows and razor fans that she had gotten from her parents. She never thought that there was a time that she ever had to use these but she guessed the time was now. She packed a few things and headed out the door toward the mountain. She walked out of town and into a countryside. She wasn't that far away from the mountain so the journey wouldn't be long to get there only to get up. She walked for a few miles and she was finally at the base of the mountain. She started walking up a trail that she found near the base that seemed to lead all the way up the mountain. She walked what seemed like forever so she stopped for a break while she looked at the view from the mountain. It was a beautiful view and she loved beautiful sights. She brushed back her purple hair as a gust of wind went by and she started walking again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, that's my part :animesmil
Funny Girl
Riiko was walking around her college just hanging out until she heard a voice calling to her. She always knew that if you hear something when no one's around, then it must be an omen or some sort of calling. Riiko listened closely and heard that the Chosen must go to Mt. Sot. She got all her stuff and left the college. Her friends all saw her getting ready to leave and said, "Hey, Riiko. Where are you going? Is something wrong?" "No, I just have to go out for a bit. But cover for me until I get back! Thanks guys!" said Riiko as she ran out of the building. "Man, I hope that girl is okay. But we have to cover for her," said one girl. "Yeah, you're right. She did help us all out you know," said another girl. "Yup, she's a good kid with a very kind heart," said another as the bell rang and they headed to their next class. Riiko ran down the sidewalk and got to her house. She took off her shoes and ran up to her room to get dressed. She changed from her school uniform into something more comfortable. She ran back downstairs and grabbed a bag and put her shoes on. She ran out of the house and headed for Mt.Sot. She slowed down to a walk to save her energy and looked at all the places a shops that were there. She could see people out on the sidewalk looking at produce and the shopkeeper standing outside helping people. She knew that she was in a safe place than before. She finally had gotten away from the city and heade for Mt. Sot. She could see that it wasn't very far away decided to take her time. After about an hour and a half, she had arrived at the base of the mountain. Riiko looked for a trail and then found one. She took the trail up the mountain but it would take about another hour to get at least half way. She knew that the mountain was unpredictable so she stayed on her toes and hoped for the best. About two hours, she had reached almost the top and noticed that there were others there as well.
Deadpool
Tray followed the others that climbed the mountain. He didn't converse much with any of them. But for some reason the girl that brought up the rear held his attention. He couldn't take his eyes off her hair. He had never seen any like it nor as beautiful. He wasn't one to start up a conversation at first though. He would watch and wait. seeing who these others were. He didn't notice that he was slowly falling back as he was in his own world until the girl he had been staring at was beside him. "Hello" Tray turned his head, his eyes once again going to her hair. Immeidalty he nopticed her growing uncomfertable staring at it. Tray smiled. "Such a unique color. It is very complementing to you. goes with your eyes well." He smiled at the amazed look on her face. "Just be glad your hair isn't like mine." He made a nod back to his dark blue hair. "It isn't fun but you get use to the harassment after a while" The girl was trying to find words. Tray just smiled. Akieen Cloud
Amelia hummed a small tune as she made her way through the small sanctuary that she called home and was stopped as a deep commanding voice called her name. "Amelia, you know the rules, no weapons in the sanctuary!." Spinning she bowed her upper body and apologized. "Father, please forgive me, it is only in here foir I am leaveing. Something is calling me to Mt. sot, and I must go and find out what it is." "Then come along to teh kitchens and we'll feed your journy." She smiled largely and ran up to him giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek and followed him to the kitchens. It was only now as she trodded on the soft earth of the moutain trial, apparently walked upon already, that she began to doubt this feelng in her heart. she stopped for a moment and looked back down the moutain and sighed, she was going to miss that place she called home. The long piece of cloth on her back looked like nothing more then a regular bed roll, but in fact it was her own special weapon she called a Swallow. In reality it was nothing more then a fancy double headed spear but she loved the name swallow and stuck with it. "I hope that place will be okay there...those towns are harsh on the sanctuary and I just hope they can handle it now." she continued up the slope and felt a small breeze hit her, she smiled and reached down into her self and found that small light that she knew was there and tapped into it, the light breeze suddenly turned into a full blown gust and blew up the trail before her as she sped up to a fast sprint. Her favorite game after her brother's death, she was raceing the wind. She could hear voices on the wind and sped up till she reached the summit and tried to come to a stop skidding and then falling onto her back and slideing that way till she finally did stop looking up at Tray. "Uh...hi there, Tray right?" He frowned and looked confused. "Your voice carried on the wind, I could hear you, and I think if you guys are anything like me, your hair is the least of your worries." she blew upwards and watched as the wind blwe his hair back away from his face. She stood up and grabbed her bed roll that was wrapped around her Swallow and brushed herself off. Another girl spoke to her then. "You didn't bring a weapon?" Looking over at Ashara she gave a friendly smile and popped her knuckles one at a time out of habit. "For me to know and you to find out." She hopped onto a nearby boulder and looked at the rest of them. "So what are we waiting on, or are we even waiting on anything?" Chuckleing nervously she considered she was probably the last one there and the most annoying by their looks.
The Enemy
Mark walked for a few hours and made his way to the first of three villages between his and the mountain. He was growing hungry and was eyeing the road for a food shop. Soon he saw the butchery, and went in. The inside was dark and dismal, accented by the overweight man chopping meat with a cleaver in the darkest corner of the room. The sense that the next chop would miss in the dark and hit his hand or fingers almost seemed to be the theme of the room. Mark opened the door and walked over to the counter in the dark corner. The butcher didn't look up but asked "wha' can I get ya' ??" his thick vocal accent disturbed Mark but he didn't let it show in the slightest. Mark simply pointed to the rack of dried meats behind the over-sized butcher and lowered his hand again. The butcher looked up at Mark, then back to the rack, then to Mark again before finally picking up a small handful of meat strips and placing them in front of Mark. "Will tha' do?" asked the butcher. Mark simply picked up the meat tied it within a small cloth and dropped a few solver coins on the counter. The butcher looked down and grabbed the coins then said "Hey tha's is more than ya' need to pay, sir" but when he looked up Mark has already left. Mark took one of the 5 strips he got and chewed on it as he walked. Taking big bites, he often lost track of time and went without food thinking he'd eaten just that morning and he didn't need more food, for days. He ate al but one strip before leaving the towns edge. The town stopped abruptly, the buildings and stone road stopping at almost a straight line into a forest and path that was only there because it was heavily walked on. Mark finished the last of his meat and looked upwards slightly checking the top of the mountain to see how far he'd gone. There were a good few villages and small towns around the mountains base and he didn't want to be left out of the action because he lived too far away, so he decided to speed up. He lowered his body a bit and kicked off hard, flashing into the distance, leaving only heavy tracks and lines of lightning licking the ground for a few seconds as he ran. In a few minutes he was at the base, it took allot of energy to increase his speed so vastly with his powers, but he'd gotten used to it after much training and discipline. He slowed momentarily to adjust his footing to the incline of the mountain but sped up once more at realizing the steady angle of the edge. He ran for another ten minutes or so, before getting to the top. He noticed people and stopped instantly not wanting to show any of them his powers need he should fight them later, he wanted an advantage. He looked from behind a large protruding boulder for a minute or so before realizing no one had noticed him yet, then he walked out and onto the cliff where everyone else was. They looked at his strangely and he glared at a few from under his hood. He was angry that most of them were children, the oldest of them seemed to be perhaps 4 or 5 years younger than him. He just turned his back on them and didn't start talking to anyone. Waiting for a total of 8 people to arrive. So far he saw a few guys; one boy who had darker blue hair, Marks biggest fear of him was that he would mention how his hair matched Mark's vest; just after Mark arrived another man had shown up, he was huge and looked as if he could crush bones with his bare hand, he'd climbed up the sheer face of the cliff they were all standing on and his choice of pathways shocked everyone. There were a few girls too; the most interesting one had bright blue hair, and seemingly didn't bring a weapon as the others including Mark did; another girl had sort of greyish blue hair and carried a bow and arrows along with some fans that Mark didn't recognize as pointfull; the last girl was donning two katana's on her back and had purple hair. Mark counted a few timed and included himself the answer every time was 6, 6 of the chosen 8 were present. The most startling aspect of everyone he noticed was their hair, each one of them had a shade of blue or purple, except the larger man who had dark brown. Mark would fit right in, he had short spiked hair that was white as milk. He also made note of their weapons, a wide range of attacks and deaths were possible within this group, but Mark had seen almost every weapon in existence within his fighting leagues. Mark was emotionless and void to the observers around him, but inside he could hardly wait until the final chosen arrived, he also was very eager to see the others powers, if they were like him he was in for a good show. Xerxes
Ashara looked around at all the people that were there. She was surprised at all the weapons everyone had. She also noticed that everyone had some sort or blueish or purpleish hair color while one had dark brown. She looked at how different everyone was from each other and how everyone looked. She knew this would be a great team if they were in some sort of war or something. She sat there wondering who was the last person to show up and when they did, what would happen then.
Funny Girl
Riiko was really nervous yet excited to see how many others there were here. She stood there smiling and noticed that there was one guy looking at her hair color. She knew that if she shouted at him for staring, the others would look at her and stare at her so she walked up the guy with dark long blue hair and said, "Hi my name Riiko. What's your's?" Riiko wanted to start a conversation with the others so she thought that talking to each one individually she would get to know them better. She waited for his answer and noticed that others were also starting to talk to one another also. This made her happy to see others there that wanted to get to know everyone and why they were there and everything about themselves. The guy looked sorta shocked at first but then said, "Name's Tray." "Tray... That's a really cool name," replied Riiko smiling again. But what really bugged Riiko was who was the other one that they were all waiting for. She really wanted to see who she or he was like when they got here. Cicatrice Du Adieu
Oko looked down at a small hot spring. A silver koi danced around it. It seemed to call her. Silent words wispering in the ripples of the water,"Oko! Oko..." She reached in and the silver fish swam away. The water's surface rippled and from the center images were made. A mountain. More words formed on the waves. I do not know how much time is left until it all lost." She gasped, awakening from her sleep staring into the eyes of an elderley man. He was blind in one eye and used a cane. A white beard fell on his chest. "Are you troubled deary?" He asked suspiciously. She had been sleeping. And what's more, she had fallen asleep next to the door of a small voo doo shop. The old man was obviously the owner. he had several odd accessories strung onto him. "No...I mean, yes...I mean I don't know..." She answered a little dazed. "You must go to mount. Sot." The old man said retreating to his shop. "WAIT!!" Oko said standing and following him in. "Wher is this Mountain?" "It is calling you...listen. what direction is it's voice coming from?" was his reply. She closed her eyes, concentrating. I do not know how much time is left until it all lost." The voice was faint, more faded then in her dream. "It is faint but it comes from the east." She told him. "Things always seem closer in dreams." He said lighting a pipe."It is far from here. Continue to the east and you will come to its base." "Thankyou." She said running out of the shop and towards the east. She did as he said and traveled only in the direction of the east. She soon arived at the base of the Great mount. Sot. She gathered her energy, Focusing on a shape. In this case the shape of an aisian dragon. Water formed before her in the form she thought of. She steped onto its back, positioned like a surfer, one hand held outword, legs bent. Her bare feet were ankle deep in the water dragon but she didn't fall through completely. The dragon moved upword, scaling the mountain, it's creater riding it. She halted her dragon and withdrew her hand. It evaporated into mere mist in seconds. She saw more travelers. She decided to follow, but stay at a good distance in case they were not hospitable. She followed them carfully, making sure to not to get to close or too far away. Akieen Cloud
Amelia looked around and saw the diversity of everyone, also that everyone had brought a weapon, many of them were givingher strange looks as she sat on the boulder rocking from side to side humming one of her favorite songs to her self. She felt the boredown eatting at her now and sighed as she lept down from the giant rock and took her bed roll off her shoulders and flipped it open, she heard one of the other girls ask if she was going to take a nap at a time like this and smiled more as the glint of her Swallow came into light. Catching it with light fingers she began to spin it at a high speed making it dissapper in a blurr. She jumped back onto the blouder and began to go through her exersices till her movements were extremely fast a every time she spun a gust of wind came from her movements. "Hey! That't enough!" She looked down and saw Ashara standing at the base of the boulder. "I think we all get the point, you have a weapon and your good with it." "Wha? No, that's not what I was trying to do, I'm bored, Im just keeping myself busy so I don't annoy anyone." "You are anyway." "Hmph, well fine then sourpuss." Hopping down she rolled her clear blue Swallow back into her bed roll and at back on the boulder. Ashara spoke to her again. "How old are you?" "19, but I'm 10 at heart." "We can tell." She glimpsed out at the others and saw the nervous looks on their faces thinking that a fight was about to break out, and true enough Amelia felt like hitting the girl for insulting her but she was no fighter with out reasonalble cause. "We're a team obviously, just gimme some time, I'll rub off on you eventually." "I doubt that." She smiled and laughed openly. "Just you wait, you'll be my best friend by the end of it all." "I don't understand you, we could in for something very dangerous and you still joke, why?" "Keeps the wrinkles away if you smile more and think of the glass half full instead of half empty." She hopped down and put a hand on Ashara's shoulder then held it out with a smile. "Seeing as how everyone is so quiet I think I'll go first. The name's Amelia Young, I'm 19, I use a double headed spear I have dubbed a Swallow and I have some control over the wind for some reason. I like to have fun and I love moonlight strolls in the park." she hear another of the girls and the young man that had just showed up laugh lightly. "You'll find I'm usually the ice breaker." Giving a wink to Mark she leaned back against the boulder she had ben occupieing the whole time looked everyone over.
P.J. McKrafty
Garrett chuckled to himself as the overly perky girl introduced herself. Garrett watched as the others conversed, he didn't like to talk to anyone unless they talked to him. He said "If they want to talk to me they will, but if they don't I guess they dont want to talk to me". People never really understood Garrett's logic but they never questioned it. Garrett was a very talkative person, but he just wanted to make sure you wanted to talk before he started a conversation. Garrett pulled an apple out of his bag and polished it with his cloak. He then placed his hand on the ground and searched the mountain for any metal ore, he found it not just a couple feet under the surface of the ground. He used the earth and pushed it out of the ground and into his hand. Since the ore hadn't been mixed with other man made metals he was able to shape it into a crude knife, he of coarse did this behind his back so the others wouldn't notice. Even if they had powers like his he didn't want to risk the chance that they didn't so he hid it. Garrett pulled the knife out from behind his back and started to cut the apple eating the slices. He turned to see Mark starring at him. Garrett smiled and stabbed a slice with his knife and holding it with an extended arm towards Mark offering him some. Mark just stared not accepting any or saying anything. Feeling awkward and stupid Garrett retracted his offer and ate the slice. After he finished his apple Garrett sat down and waited, nothing better to do seeing as nothing was going to happen until the last person arrived.
Cicatrice Du Adieu
After "reading" the travelers, Oko decided it would be ok to get a little closer. They didn't seem at all threatening but she really wasn't feeling very social at the moment. Oko Decided to hide behind a large boulder. She figured she wouldn't be seen or heard. Oko soon grew bored. She fummbled a bit but idly gathered moisture in the air into an orb of pure, pristine water. It wasn't a large bunch but it was enough to entertain herself. She formed it into a snake and made it drift back and forth between her hands. She watched it closely, contently. She made not a noise. She began to get comfortable and leaned against the boulder. Just then, a small bat flew from a crevise at the bottom of the rock, obviously frazzled that someone disturbed it's rest. Oko's hands flew up, startled. She let out a small scream and the the water snake flew back behind the boulder. She heard a slight yelp and cursing. Her eyes grew wide and she peeked behind the large rock. She had hit someone. konske
Chase hovered over the group, unnoticed by them. He smiled as he looked over. The woman, the one in the message from his head was smiling at him. She nodded as they made their way down. As they landed in the middle of th group, Chase noticed all of then standing and turning twards them. A few of the men even put a hand on thier weapons. "Please, calm your hearts. None of us are here for a fight, if I am right?" Chase said, looking around, then he looked a the woman with angelic wings next to him. "Thank you all for coming. I was worried that none of you would show." She lowered her head and smiled. "Hey, you were the one in my head." The female with the twin katanas on her back said, pointing. "Yes, that was me. My name is Adin. I was the one that put the spell in effect. I must apologize. MY spell has caused you all great greiff. But, I am sure you all want to know what brings you to this place, why you all are who you are. What your powers mean, and how are the Chosen Eight connected to you." She smiled and nodded at Chase who went and sat down, leaning agianst a rock. "You all are the reincarnations of us, the other seven from many years ago, and you,my dear, are me. I am you, but we are not the same. With the spell I casted, I made it so all of you were able to live your lives the way you wanted, with free will. Now, all of you are needed, just like I was so many years ago." She looked around, looking at all of them in the face, smiling. "Right, but why are we here. The world isn't in peril like it was back then." The man with the blue har said, looking at Adin. "You are right, but you are also wrong. This world is like an apple, if you will. The outside, the skin, its all safe, wonderful to look at, there is nothing wrond with it. But, on the inside, there is a worm, a bug terrorizing the ones that dare to make it there. There are people in this world that are trying to destroy it. None of you know of this, but it is happening. We knew this was coming, that is why you all were born, to help stop it. I do not know how they are doing it, or even what they are doing to this wonderful place, but it is known, something is happening, and you are the last hope to stop this evil. So, please, I beg of all of you, help me. I need all of your help as well. If there is one missing, the rest may not make it." She looked away from the group then raised up into the air. "I think you should all go to the temple west of here. That is the closest place I can feel the evil rising from. Once you are done there, I will be back." She smiled at them all before she vanished into a flash of light. "If you have any answers, ask Chase, he will be able to help you." Was the last thing they heard before it got quiet. Chase looked around, he could tell that noone really understood what was going on. He didn't fully, but he knew a little more that they did, being able to talk to Adin one on one and all. He watched many of them sit down, thinking to themselves. He shook his head and felt something growing in the bottom of his stomach. It seemed to get a little stronger when he looked over at the man with the hood. He seemed to be trying to stay away from everyone else right now, and Chase didn't like that fact very much. "Ok, listen up everyone. We have a short walk, but if we leave now, we can make it to the temple by morning. I don't know what to expect when we get there, but I am sure its nothing we can't all handle." Chase tryed to smile, then stood up and walked to the start of the path down. He sat down behind a boulder and looked at the landscape below him. He still didn't understand why they were needed, but he hoped that together, whatever they faced would be destroyed. Xerxes
"Hey, kid, the one sitting near that boulder. We need to make it to that temple right?" asked Ashara as she walked over to him. "Yeah," he responded,"And the name's Chase." "Okay, Chase," she said as she turned around,"Alright you idiots, it's time for us to head to the temple in the west. Now get off your asses and let's get a move on shall we?" Everyone picked up their things and started walking over to where Ashara and Chase were. They all looked at the scenery of the valley, waiting to know what would happen when they got to the temple.
P.J. McKrafty
Garrett waited like the others and he laid back looking at the sky when all of a sudden he was splashed in the face, someone had thrown water at him. Garrett looked over and saw a girl with white hair peek around a boulder and then duck back behind it. Garrett stood to his feet and walked over to the boulder and looked around it and there stood the girl with a look of embarrassment on her face. She jumped at the sight of him. "I am so sorry about that, it was an accident," she immediately burst out standing up completely straight. "It is fine, in fact I needed to was my face," Garrett said smiling big and extending his hand for her to shake it. "My name is Garrett," "Oko," she replied shaking his hand. "So what can you do?" "Excuse me?" "Well, it seems we can all do something, what can you do?" Garrett smiled a little, knowing he couldn't show her his strength, he realized he could show her his craftsmanship. He reached into his handbag. "What are you doing?" "Looking for your personality," Garrett replied with a smile as he pulled out a teal blue gem. "Here hold this," he said handing her the gem, he started to work with it and after a couple minutes he was done. She stared in awe of what lay in here hands. A perfectly clear gem in the shape of a water lily. She started to hand it back and Garrett placed his hand over hers ans grabbed her other hand and closed it in it. "It's a gift keep it," She remained silent and walked away. the events continued and the woman left after informing them. Garrett sat in silence again watched as the others overwhelmed Chase with questions. Garrett just watched and he noticed that Mark was just watching like he was. mark didn't seem too sociable. They started to calm down and plan for the trip. Chase lit a fire and they all got around it and started to talk about their journeys to the mount and somewhat get to know each other better. Garrett watched Mark though as he walked behind a boulder, after a second a large cloud of dust was kicked up from behind the boulder, Mark was gone, he had left the others behind for the temple.
Cicatrice Du Adieu
Oko looked at her gift and gave the slightest smile. She turned and looked back at Garret. Garret spotted her looking at him and she quickly turned blushing. Garret smiled and walked over to Oko. She seemed mesmerisede with his talent and his kindness. "You like it." He sid. His voice startled her and she swiftly, gracefully turned, blushing shyly. "Yes." she said in her melancholy happiness. He cocked his head and smiled. She gave a small smile. He looked at her eyes witch didn't seem to match her mood. Her eyes were grim and sad. But her smile was strangely glad. Oko looked down. She wasn't quite good at talking and never seemed to find words for anything.
Funny Girl
Riiko couldn't believe what the woman Adin had said to her. Riiko was the reincarnation of Adin but she couldn't do anything like her. She looked up from the fire and asked Chase, "If I'm the reincarnation of Adin, then what power do I supposedly have?" Chase pondered on the moment and thought about what the power Adin had and thought that since there was always light around Adin that Riiko's power was over light. "Well since Adin always had light with her no matter where she was, you're power is light," replied Chase. "Oh. Wow. I never knew that I would have a power like that. It's amazing that I'm someone else yet not," said Riiko. She noticed that when she said that, that everyone was looking at her strangely. She was used to that already so she just gave a nice and kind smile. Riiko pondered on the thought of what her power did and wanted to know what ever her power over light did that it was something that could help out the entire world over whatever they were fighting against. She got up and walked over where she could see the night sky. The stars were nice and bright and could see that the air was much more crisp and clean. She observed the scenery and then looked back at the campfire where mostly everyone was at firing questions at Chase who answered them all the best her could. The Enemy
Mark looked around noting unique movement styles of each member to see how they would move in a fight, a skill developed in fighting leagues. He got tired of the crowd quickly. He walked quietly towards a boulder. Then something, or rather someone, caught his eye. It was a young girl with beauty far beyond her knowledge. In an instant Mark was entranced by this girls looks. Amazed that such a gorgeous girl could not be bold and outgoing. At the sight of her getting friendly with Garrett ,however, his feelings and lock on her changed. He viewed her as a lost treasure, taken from before him without a chance of luring her for himself. He continued behind the boulder and lowered as a track star would before darting one hundred meters. He over heard the beautiful girl say "Oko" in answering Garrett's indirect question of her name. He memorized it and took off, again leaving electrical lines arching along the ground behind him. He flew down the mountain almost tripping because of the descending and uneven ground. He had to stop and rest soon after leaving, but he had made much more progress than the group. He took a few deep breathes then panted shallowly for a few minutes, he couldn't stop thinking of Oko. Her hair, eyes , hands, figure, everything! He only took a few glimpses but it was enough for him to remember. He was happy to be alone, away from the group, but at the same time couldn't wait to se her again.
Funny Girl
While Riiko was looking at the group she noticed something from behind the boulder. She turned and looked and saw some eletrical waves that were there and then disappeared. She then turned to look and saw that a girl named Oko and Garett were talking or so she thought. Riiko was never the kind to barge in and break up a descution so she kept quiet and saw their reactions to each other when they talked. What really worried her the most was who created those waves of electricity and why they left on such a hurry. She didn't know what was going on but she thought that there was a little love between of few of the people here. Riiko kept all that quiet since she was afraid that if she spilled the rest of the group would tell them. Riiko's curiosity got the best of her and she followed the path where the waves had been. She then lost the trail as she went down the mountain so she put her hand down on the ground and could feel some electricity from the ground. She followed the path until she saw someone with a hood over his head. She walked up to him and asked, "Are you one of the Chosen eight?"
P.J. McKrafty
Garrett sat on his bedroll next to the fire and looked up at the stars. He was told that he was a reincarnation of a man named Dom. This troubled Garrett, the way he saw it was that he wasn't leading his life but just another mans. Or he could be Dom and just not remember. All of this confused him and when Garrett was confused he looked at the stars. Oko wandered over and sat next to him. She looked up at the stars as if she was trying to see what he was seeing. Garrett sat up and looked at her. She looked back at him and gave him a small smile. "Do you have any family?" Garrett asked bluntly. Oko lowered her head and shook it losing the small smile. "Oh, me either," Garrett replied, she raised her head. ''I haven't had a family for eighteen years. And I Haven't had a home for seven or eight years," "GARRETT!" a voice called out from behind him, it was Chase. "Do you know where Riiko and that hooded guy went off to?" Garrett turned and shook his head. "Then can you find them for us, we need some sleep if we are gonna leave tomorrow morning," Garrett nodded and removed his glove and placed his hand on the ground. He closed his eyes and then everything came back to focus through vibrations in the ground. Mark couldn't be pinpointed because of the electricity of his trail but he will be able to tracked by it, and Riiko seems to have gone after him. "They are about two kilometers west, making their way to the temple," "See if you can catch up with them and have them wait for us in the morning," " Gotcha," Garrett raised to his feet and helped Oko to hers. He packed up his bedroll and walked to the edge of the slope. he then stomped on the ground causing a long semi-thin rock to protrude from the ground. he grasped the top and turned to Oko. "See ya soon," He winked and the snapped the stone out of the ground and set off down the hill using it as a sled. He reached the bottom in a matter of minutes and ditched the stone. He placed his hand on the ground again and set off after Mark.
Akieen Cloud
Amelia sat on the ground looking for a spot to put her bed roll when she saw an alone Tray set up his undera tree. 'Hm, alone, odd.' She stood up and threw her bedroll down smoewhat close to his and then settled onto it and began to polish her Swallow. she looked over at him and smiled at his odd exsrpession. "Hey there." "What are you doing?" "Getting ready for bed, what's it look like?" "I mean over here next to me." "Being friendly." She gave him a sweet smile and nodded at another from the group as they passed. "so, we're all reborn angels or whatever right? And I was Lia of the Wind, suppose it makes sense." She looked up to see that Tray had moved and blinked. "Oh, I suppose my company is not good enough for you then?" "Your loud." She laughed and lay down on her bed roll looking up at the stars and thought of her brother, she sighed and rolled onto her side. "Does anyone know if there is a river or something near here?" Chase looked up. "Why?" "I've been walking all day long and my hair feels like it weighs a ton, you tell me." "You wish to bathe? The water will be freezeing." She winked at him and laughed. "Hey, I can handle it, I just really need some time to clean up and do all the girly stuff us girls need to do as far as the batheing goes." Adin looked up and smiled. "I believe there is one a mile or so that way." Amelia nodded and picked up a small pack and headed in that general direction, she kicked a small pinecone in Tray's direction and chuckled as he growled. Reaching the small river she bent over it and began to wash her hair and then the rest of her grime covered body. "Being in an orphanage makes you really appriciate this kind of thing." Finishing her bath she took out a small piece of line and a hook and dug in the soft earth useing ehr wind power to find a large earth worm and within a few minutes had a large fish on the end of the line as she was walking back to camp. She sat down next to Tray and smiled gently at him. "There is more then enough here for two people..." "Why do you want to befriend me so badly?" "I know what it's like to be alone, I don't like it, so I figure, no one else can really enjoy it either, right?" "I don't mind it." She nodded and looked up at him smileing. "No harm in a friend here and there though, right?" He took a deep breath and looked at her. "I can't get out of this can I?" She smiled more and shook here head holding out a pieve of fish to him. "Don't worry, it won't kill you." He rolled his eyes making her smile more and laugh, she found it easy to talk to him for some reason. Funny Girl
As Riiko asked this question the guy turned and looked at her with a scowl on his face. "Yes, what is it to you," he said sternly. "Well we shouldn't go too far because we don't know where we're going first of all," replied Riiko in a kind and gentle voice. "First off, how did you find me?" "I had heard something behind me and when I turned I saw some electric waves on the rock so I followed it to see you standing here." "Why did you follow me? You don't even know me!" "Well I figured that no one should be alone out here in the world even if they are shunned and misunderstood a lot of times. I know you may not know it but there may be some people looking and watching out for you." Then the guy seemed to have a very shocked and confused face. He couldn't think of someone saying that to him even if she was a stranger. Riiko couldn't see very well so she held out her hand and a ball of light appeared on it creating some light so she could see his face. Riiko then came a little closer and took off his hood. When his hood was taken off it revealed his white hair. Riiko smiled and said, "That's better. Now I can introduce myself now that I know what you look like. Let's start over. My name is Riiko. It's very nice to meet you." The guy was still confused and didn't know how to respond to such kindness like hers.
The Enemy
Mark was a little shocked that anyone would be so nice to him without knowing him very well at all. Still though, he wished to be alone. He placed his hands on the sides of his neck and jerked his hood back on covering his face. "You'll know my name when I wish to tell it to you." Mark said coldly. With his strength back he could use his speed boost again. He ran away from her as fast as he could without using the boost then once far enough away, so that the sparks couldn't hurt her, he leapt into the air. Sending electric lines rippling in the ground behind him and not leaving a land trail. While in the air Mark saw Garret, the one who had prematurely stolen Oko from him before he could talk to her. With a minor jet of energy from his upper back and shoulders, Mark went soaring to the ground once more. He created a shock wave to reduce the impact and landed on the ground just off of Garrett with a loud thud. Garret ran over to a clearing where Mark had landed and looked him up and down, still oblivious to how he did what he just had. Emotions were one of the few things Mark didn't have control of, an overwhelming anger crept over him. "I have just met Oko and the others but Garret didn't even give me a chance to talk to her." thought Mark as Garrett approached him. Then a colder thought entered his mind "If I got Garrett out of the picture, I could have Oko without competition." Marks view of problems was a bit distorted ever since he accidentally electrocuted a babysitter to death. He locked a firm stare on Garrett and took a step forward. Garrett looked at Mark and knew he wasn't just going to be welcomed back. Mark reached into his vest and drew out his hand axes. Garrett took a step back. Mark then lunged at Garrett slashing at his ribs silently. Garrett stomped the ground and a slim rock jutted up in front of him, blocking the attack. Then watched as Mark jumped to on top of the stone and slashed down at him.
