Akieen Cloud
Okay, I dunno if I have done this one in the past or if someone else has but I was just sitting here eatting a bag of popcorn woundering what diffrent variations people have for eatting it. Me, I like hot stuff so my favorite seasoning for my popcprn is salt, black peper, and chili powder, problem is it doesn't always get to the bottome of the bag so not all the popcorn in covered. I have heard of many things from friends, like Mayonaise, Mustard, even pickle juice... :blulaugh: I tried it, man I didn't think I would eat popcorn again. I've also heard of unsalted popcorn in milk as breakfast. :therock: I'd like to know what diffrent ways, or not so diffrent ways people here eat popcorn, what you all put on it, or what you eat with it. DeadSeraphim
I'm pretty old school... I like it salty with lots of delicious, artery-clogging butter. I tried cheese popcorn once and it was nice, but it just doesn't beat the classic.
TheShinje
I like caramel covered popcorn. While I like salt as well, the latter dehydrates my mouth and I end up drinking lots. Caramel is simply tasty so I usually go with that. I have a rather limited pallet compared to some of those wacky ideas.
Horendithas
None, I have a popcorn machine that uses hot air to pop it and I eat it completely plain. Makes a nice delicious snack since the few times I've tried it with stuff on it the overload of sugar, salt and other spices was a bit sickening. visualkei
I like mine Kettle Cooked style. It's sweet and I like it. OK, has anyone ever had this bag of Korean brand popcorn...? I don't know what the name of it is right now, but that popcorn is pretty neat. I guess it just depends on your tastes, some might think it's nasty. But it's popcorn without the kernel, and when you put it in your mouth, there's no chewing involved! It practically dissolves in your mouth, it's so soft. Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. I personally prefer the classic topping myself, a smidgeon of salt for taste and no more. With the popcorn at home the invariable beverage is milk, while at the cinema it's a nice big cup of Coca Cola.
ChibiHorsewoman
I have a cookbook that has popcorn recipes in it. My favorite is paramasean (can't spell without my spell check) cheese. Give me my cheese dang it!
MangaGirl14
When I make some popcorn I'm do it classic style with the Salt and the butter. But other times I do put some several strange toppings on it. Like sugar, honey, and mustard tooXD (okay I'm werid like that! LOL:laugh: XD)
Kenso
Hey, I'm not the only one who likes their popcorn biting back! I like my popcorn with lots of butter, a decent amount of salt, and Creole seasoning (which, by the way, has got to be one of the greatest smell combination of spices EVER). I'm very particular in how I do it though. I don't eat it out of the bag. Instead, I get a bowl, pour some of the popcorn into said bowl, then add seasoning. I shake up what I put in the bowl to spread the seasoning better, then repeat the process. I usually do it in four layers. It coats much better that way. A little salt is okay, but anything more than that is disgusting. -Shy
Rachmaninoff
I like buttered popcorn, especially when it's nice and hot. Carmel popcorn is iffy since some brands have a bitter taste to them and I've yet to try other flavors like cheese that I actually liked. Though if I want something more light, I have tried the plain popcorn and it is actually good.
Kanuckgrrl
When I was little we used to make caramel popcorn balls that were warm and gooey and thats the way I like it :animeswea Otherwise Im rarely in the mood for popcorn
Pumpkin
My sister use to dip hers in Ketchup. Pretty gross. Every since I was seven I've started hating popcorn.......Ugh...that's the #1 thing I can never eat again. I don't know why but it never really appealed to me. That and brussel sprouts with vinegar. Don't even ask.
Disenchanted
I have to say that when I was a little kiddy I remember hording rainbow popcorn like it was treasure. It was our gold. And looked something like this [click]. I thought it was the best thing ever, it induced crazy hyperactive sugar fits. I think the whole popcorn was covered in a crust of sugar and what looks like now to be semi-radioactive food coloring. I don't really like popcorn but if I did eat it, it would probably just be plain with nothing on it.
Panda
I use to work in a movie theater during high school and would come home smelling like popcorn. Everything would smell like popcorn. My friends would get into my car and tell me it smelled like popcorn. On top of that we got all the free popcorn we wanted to eat. Oi. It really put me off of popcorn for many, many years. As the years passed I am able to eat popcorn again. I do love kettle corn. The combo of sweet and salty is nice. I also like "Killian Korn" which is a local favorite. It's made in a little town about 45 minutes away from where I live. They make popcorn with a bunch of different flavors like one with Macadamia nuts that is just devine! Other than those I would say air popped popcorn with just a sprinkle of salt is about all the popcorn I'll eat.
