Zen
Mugen returned home shortly after the event with the cloaked warlock. He knew he'd have to work quickly if he wanted to prevent other's from being tempted to accept his offer. This was his and many other's nightmare. It would seem someone in the magical underground was becoming a little too amibitious, and power was the perfect insentive if Mugen's hunch was correct. He came to his run-down apartment and quickly ascended the broken stair case, dim light-bulbs illuminating each dark floor. He eventually came to his apartment, number 13. Bursting in a great clatter, he quickly slammed the door behind him and began searching desperately through drawers and cluttered desk-tops for his little black book. It contained a short list of names, other magicians he had met and gained some form of trust with since his move to New York. Taking his entire arm, he shoved a stack of papers from a computer desktop, then looking down, his eyes glistened. Reaching down, he cracked open the small booklet-slash-binder and flipped to the second page. There before him, a list of named connected to screen names, phone numbers, and addresses. The list read: LeCrosse - Screen Name: Blayze Xavier - Screen Name: BK Styles Nikki Landry - Screen Name: Kitty Ivy Sheppard - Screen Name: Eclipse Cameron Hille - Screen Name: Sakura Darius Sorél - Screen Name: Allamorph Albert (That German Guy) - Screen Name: Ezekiel Amelia DiMaggio - Screen Name: Revelation Laying the book flat open in front of his computer, Mugen logged in a hurried to see if any of them had logged on. If not, it'd be a long night of phone calls for him... ________________________________________________ Alrighy then. That's the acceptance list above. I thank you all for your sign ups, especially those who didn't get in. You guys made it really hard to pick and choose, but I had a set number I was going to go by, my apologies. Now for the technical stuff. I'm going to be going by a free-post/chapter system. You people post all you like, and when the time comes, I'll make a post that will summarize a major plot point when it occurs, and then begin a new chapter possibly on a similar note, or in a new direction which we need to follow. Also beware, I choset he number I have set because I wanted room to kill people in. Originally there was only going to be six cast member, but I added on so I could have that extra space for death-drama. If you don't post, then your character may fall victim to such an event. No worries though, for I'm the only person allowed to make this descision. Please post any questions ( I know there has to be some) here in this thread, or simply discuss any plot points you'd like to work in. Thanks again to all of you, - Mike/The Boss
Allamorph
I would like to make a quick clarification about my pyromancer (ooh! I like that word). I mentioned briefly in my sign-up that Darius knows jiu-jitsu; I want to make it official that he is by no means a martial arts master. He picked up the form because it gives him a means to practice his true art in a controlled atmosphere, which is basically all he uses it for. He can defend himself adequately with the form when necessary, and can probably disarm his opponent if they have a weapon, but that's about it. (Really, I just don't want him to be able to instantly pwn random people; that's what the fire is for.) Speaking of fire, Darius also cannot as of now control his flames with thought alone. He needs to execute some sort of physical mnemonic, like snapping his fingers, waving his hand, or punching. Maybe later he'll get to the whole "I don't need to move to fight you" stage, but not now. Besides, movement looks cooler. :D -------------------- EDIT: The thought just occured to me: is the Master's side going to have some sort of emblem or symbol that they all carry/wear, or will they just wear black all the time? (I ask everybody.)
Disenchanted
Maybe they could have a symbol, tattooed on their skin or otherwise. Some sort of alchemy glyph perhaps? Just throwing ideas out there. Any who, just letting The Boss man know that I'll be away for a few days [Three at the most]. So don't kill me off! Allamorph
Whoa. When did we get on the ground?
TheResplendent
I thought by Revalation's post we skipped the flight sequence and merely got to where we were going. I thought it would be difficult to do the whole wrist-thing and conversating while flying since the wind and speed of our travel would hinder normal speaking functions past screaming back and fourth loudly, and having Xavier in a wrist-lock by Amelia out of nowhere would cause some kind of body movement that would involve not being to control oneself without the usage of hands and planting one's feet...which is impossible while riding a unicorn at high speeds I imagine. Dunno, seemed like a scene that worked better on the ground...plus i figured everyone would want an opportunity to start showing off some magic in actual battles since few have not yet done so, and other's would probably want to elaborate. Sorry, if you had something in mind for the flight itself Allamorph.
Revelation
^_^;;; So that's a mess-up on my part. If you guys want I can edit. I was sort of just writing without thinking. Actually, I think I should edit it so that we're on the ground or maybe just pull out my post. Sorry kids.

We've been doing a lot of RPing from our own perspectives of several scene, like how Allamorph just did with his last one leading up to my last post. It's best that the scenes aren't so far apart that it almost seems like we're backtracking with every post, but things work out fine if the posts aren't always following the leave off point of the most previous one. As long as it moves things forward.

It was easier just to say we'd landed than to worry about how it happened. Edit:
It's best that the scenes aren't so far apart that it almost seems like we're backtracking with every post,
Yeah, that was just a bit of flashbacking. Darius thinks a lot, so....
Revelation
I just fixed a bit in my post, making it so that we landed and stuffers. So I think we're good for now. I'll try not to make things so confusing next time. ^_^;;
