Kitsaku
Anyways, I'm holding a contest on my site. I felt frustrated today after seeing the lack of community spirit on theotaku.com as of late. Everyone is either wound up, or brought down cause of the scam. So I decided to hold a Community Spirit contest. The point of the contest is to bring back the community spirit on theotaku, and focus on more positive thing. Of course, these things can't be ignored, but recovery is definitely needed. RULES: 1) Submissions can be artwork, wallpapers, or e-cards. 2) They must be your own creations. Using other people's artwork is an act of plagearism, and if it's done, you will not be entered. 3) Must be appropriate for all eyes. No nude please. 4) Wallpapers should be made by yourself, and have Anime Community Spirit written somewhere on it. 5) E-card must have text that is oriented towards Anime Community Spirit. 6) Artwork may have text, but does not have to. Just simply state what it is for in your picture description. 7) If not submitted at theotaku.com, leave either a comment here with a link to it, and I will post all links and who they're by both here and at theotaku.com so everyone can see what everyone has done. 8) Since it's now both here and at theotaku.com, does not have to be just about otaku.com spirit. Anime Community Spirit in general is fine. 9) Contest ends March 31st This is for High community spirit. I hope this turns out. =3 The Prize is a full CG request done by me. The rules are subject to change if more questions arise that have no been answered XD feel free to ask! And keep Community Spirit high!
Horendithas
Kitsaku, it's great that you want to organize an art contest, however to post one in the Community Events section you need talk to the Event Master White first. So I have moved this to the Art Studio as art contests/competitions of all sorts are held here. Also please clarify if you only wish people to submit over at theO or here as well, since if it's only over at theO, advertising it over at your myO page would be the better choice. EDIT: Never mind I see that you already have it listed at your myO page. Though it probably wouldn't hurt to let others know if you want their submissions here as well. ;)
Delta
This is a really good idea, chief! Do count me in! One question: The piece has to be about myO only or the whole theOtaku network?
Kitsaku
Thank you indifference. I would have posted it here if I had known better XD And delta, just otaku spirit. The point is to bring out community spirit altogether. If you don't have a MyO account, then submit it somewhere online and give me a link =3 Thanks. Guest NIKI12345
Sure I loved to join if I knew how to do half the stuff required for this. I guess I have to be a judge again

I would encourage people to post their entries at other places like theO or a site they have. But to also come and post it here with a link back to where it is hosted. Not only would people get to see the other entries, but it would help gather more attention and potentially attract other members who see an entry and think, hey that looks like fun. Where hosting it and only sending you a link would leave a lot of it in the shadows since not everyone is going to be looking for the contest entries. And it also leaves it open for people who don't have a myO or other type of account as they can simply post their entry here. Just something to consider. ;)

Guest NIKI12345
Well I could try and find a picture that brings back the spirt, but I don't know how to make a wallpaper or a e-card, but to help out I can send in pictures that people can use. I just really want to be a part of this because it sounds like tons of fun. :animecry: If only I knew how to do this stuff!! :animecry: :animecry:
Ellerby
I might aswell give it a shot. :) To clarify, the e-card/whathaveyou should be about Otaku spirit, right? Do you mean Otaku as in theOtaku chain or just theO?
tachiKC
I have a question for you. For the contest, are there any words or whatever that you have to put on the drawing? And can you use any characters that you want (from any anime) or does yours have to be original? I plan on doing my own drawing. I will definately try to get in on this since it sounds like fun, but an official list of all the contest rules that is clear and easy to understand would be nice. Kitsaku
NIKI12345: That would be a great contribution to those who want to join. Do you draw? You can draw a picture and post it that has to do with Community Spirit. If not, e-cards and wallpapers are not that hard to make. They just take a program for some graphics and some time. If you're interested in learning, I'll be glad to send you a PM to help. Thanks so much. White: Originally this contest was going to be focussed on only theotaku.com, since it's community spirits are WAY down right now. But since the board is now involved, I'm altering it to be simply 'Anime Community Spirit'. The board, theotaku, and anime all in general. Thank you so much =3 tachiKC: If you make an E-card, there should be words on it. Otherwise, it's just a drawing, or a screencap from an anime. Drawings do not have to have words on them, but have to do with community spirit and in your description should also say that it's part of the contest (if it's submitted at theotaku). Wallpapers don't have to say alot. I would prefer though that the wallpaper say somewhere, even if just shoved in the corner, something about Anime Community Spirit. Thanks for your interest! I never thoguht of half these things you guys are asking. So I'll get all this information together and fix my original post with the rules in a list. =3 Thank you so much everyone. Thanks for your interest to keep community spirit alive!
Kitsaku
consider this contest cancelled. No one is interested in it anymore, and I haven't recieved an entry. There's only 16 days left, so I'm hereby cancelling the anime spirit contest. thanks for previous interest, guys.
