"The dice have been cast... I look upon a once tranquil world. Once a world of peace and beauty. Now... many of my people have been slaughtered... Forests burned... Villages crushed and mighty fortresses now lay in rubble. I look upon my world with great sadness... How has it come to this... Forces are amassing... If somehing doesn't happen soon the Empire will fall... The Nine save us..." said the Emporer Urial Seimtim looking from his tower over his land he felt that a great evil was coming.

Mean while in the Plane of Oblivion a dark lord of the Deadra was planing his empires down fall, "Morrowind... Cyridil... all of the continants of this world will fall... It is our destiny to plunge this world into never ending chaos. It is our time to rule. Humans, Elves, Orcs and beasts... They will not stand in our way... We are of Oblivion. We wil consume all that is good in this world. Twist it... Contort it and break everything in our path... Our empire will rule! The Nine will not save you now!"

Riders exit the Imperial City and spread across the land. They ride to each town nailing to posts and rallying in the streets to call the warriors of this world to arms. There are few left after the previous encounter with Oblivion. Mages, Knights,Theives,Witch Hunters all litsen but few answer the call. But, meanwhile something is stiring pulling others with dark hearts and evil intentions into the dark side. They are too amassing warriors. A war is coming...

In the Balmoran Mages Guild was a young Dark Elf named Soran. He was ready for his misson of looking for the Telvanni Mage to recruit he was also given another mission: Collect Guild Dues from one Marvak. He hadn't payed them and now was up to 2000 drakes due. He was sent to ether get the dues or bring him to justuce as the Stewart had commanded.

"I hope he just gives the dues...."

Linduin sat at a desk in the Mages guild in Balmora, he watched as Soran, a dark elf of particularly special ability prepared to leave on his latest mission, Linduin remembered his days of collecting guild dues, dreadfully boring unless the said member denyed pay, then it could get heated.

"Soran." The dark elf looked at Linduin, who seemed out of place sitting at a desk with a suit of deadric armor on, "Could you tell Marvak that he failed to reply to my last letter for me, I would like to know why. If you don't mind, find out befor you kill him would you?" Linduin asked in a casual tone, he didn't really know if Soran would kill Marvak or not, Soran didn't seem like the kind who would want to kill a man, but he knew Marvak was a pain to deal with under normal circumstances, and there was little knowing what he might do. "Oh, and good luck with that Telvanni chap, don't let him give you any trouble."

Tomoyo was out in the forest like everyday waiting for people to come by and have their fortune told or come here for a rest stop. She loved to see what new people there were outside of the forest. She was hoping that the usual elf boy would come along. She didn't know what his name was, but she loved how cute and polite he was.

Tomoyo sat up on her roof and brought out her flute. She played a lovely tune that she made up on her spare time when she wasn't making potions or teaching magical creatures magic. This tune was called Make a Wish. It was a lovely tune that brought many animals to come by and listen to it. It also brought travelers to her house if they were lost. Which they mostly were.

She played her happy tune and many of the creatures came to hear her play.

"I can't believe they are sending me to the Ash Lands. That is crazy. I hate going out there." said Soran groaning.

He had been out there before and nearly was killed by a Shalk Beetle. They were small but were big enough to bite and cause damage. He was attacked and after some time wandering collapsed. He was helped by a outlander with Ebony Armor. The Outlander carried him to Ald-ruun and let him cooperate at the Mages' Guild. The Outlander was later named Neverine. The man was a hero. Soran never forgot him. But never met him again after.

"If I go out there and get hurt there will be no one to save me this time..." said Soran heading to the edge of Balmora. He looked back and made sure his katana was straped tight and staff was too.

He traveled across the two bridges and headed to the Aserian Regiion , a forested area on the edge of the ash lands.

Sui was out in the forest gathering herbs for the people that came to her for medical help, fortunes, or anything. She was out picking rosemary from the garden in the back. She looked at all the creatures that came to her to see what she was up to and she just minded her own business.

As she was done gathering herbs, she went back inside her house to mix them with other herbs and make antidotes, ointment, serums, anything. She was making an elixer for a small boy named Soran who seemed to be heading for the Ash Lands, which is where she lived. He was going to pick up the elixer for some reason she didn't ask what. She minded her own business and never really liked doing anything so she sat outside and looked at the scenery that she saw.

"Linduin." A voice echoed threw the mages guild's main room. Linduin didn't look up from his work. "A message sir."

"Thank you." Linduin replied and motioned to a space on the desk, a hand placed the letter on the desk. He looked at it, the seal was from the guild head, and not the one in Morrowind. He attempted to return to work, but he couldn't let himself and he grabbed the letter. Opening it quickly he unrooled the scroll,

Dear Linduin,

My friend, it has been to long since we met, but I will quickly get to the point as I know you would have it. I know that you would rather not read this now, and I also know that you will not allow my letter to go unread, so I am secure in the knowlage that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible. My friend I hate to ask this of you but there are few people in Morrowind who have the experiance you have in this field. I have a disturbing report that there is a deadric threat in the ash lands. We can not let a force of power find a foot hold in Morrowind. Unfortunantly I can not tell you more, the message was not what I would like it to be, the scout died befor we could recover all the information. You must destroy this threat Linduin, do it quickly, do it well. And Linduin, the king is worried, very worried.

"Of course friend, it will be done." he put his papers into a folder and put them away. And then a thought reached him, Soran is headed into the ash lands "Some one tell me that boy wouldn't die to a deadra." Other members looked up, startled by the sudden question. Linduin sighed as he grabbed his staff and rose quickly, if he could catch Soran and warn him of the threat there would be little to worry. If he couldn't and Soran stumbled on a Deadra lord there would be little chance for him. Linduin put his helmet on rushed out of the building.

Soran stepped on to the ashy, crag ridden land known as the Ash Lands. There were some cliff racers circling but Soran knew they were not much threat. He only worried about Ogrims or the chance that a Deadra sliped out of a ruin or from Ghost Gate. Also there were dangers of Blight Storms. They weren't dangerous in them selves but blighted creatures had the tendincy to attack more often.

"By the nine I hate it out here..." said Soran using his fire staff as a walking stick.

He heard a slight stepping and looked behind him and saw nothing. He walked on causiously.

Nothing could go unseen without some kind of spell... I hope that isn't a Winged Twilight , Golden Saint or Deadra... thought Soran

Tomoyo had stopped playing her flute and went to where the other witch lived in the forest. It was getting dark and the other witch, Sui, lived near the Ash lands. The Ash lands were a very bad and dangerous place. She wanted to stay the night and have a chat to see what other news where coming from the Ash lands.

They had always gossiped about many things from both parts of the land. Tomoyo would tell of travelers from the castle and Sui would tell of people from the Ash lands. Overall, they both loved to talk and talk and read fortunes of travelers.

Tomoyo grabbed her cape and weapon and headed to the where Sui lived.

Skyro was attending a meeting at the Darkborther Hood about their next mission. "Alright men, this mission will be one of our deadliest ones yet! But fortunately, we have one of the best assassins in this guild. I would like to present Skyro!" The meeting commissioner said as Skyro rises from his chair and said, "Enough of the small talk, what's the mission?" "Ah yes! But this mission is to be kept classified, so we'll have messengers coming to you as you progress. The first place you'll need to go to is the Ash Lands. Here's a map of your destination." The meeting commissioner announced.

Skyro took the map and headed his way to the Ash Lands. But instead, he decided to do things his own way as usual. "Things will go alot quicker if this mission is done my way." He said to himself as he leaves the Darkborther Hood building.

One such dark art that Emillie's mother taught her how to do was to possess people--to take over their actions completely. However, this was obviously a very difficult thing to master, and Emillie wasn't very good at it. The most she knew how to do was possess certain animals, and even civilized beings of a more primitive mental state. Her mother could pretty easily possess most cilivized beings, but for some reason had trouble with elves and other Bretons. But that's beside the point. At this particular point in time, Emillie was flying alongside a rabbit-ish creature with wings. It appeared to have been created by some sort of twisted mage with an affinity for creature manipulation. But this poor creature was also currently under Emillie's possessive control.

Emillie and the creature were flying away from High Rock and toward the Ash Lands, which could be clearly seen up ahead.
Come with me, creature of the wind, Emillie commanded as she pointed her staff at the creature. Together they swooped down till they reached a spot where a Dark Elf was standing.
A Dark Elf I recognize as Soran.

Emillie immediately had an instinct to greet Soran, but then she saw a look of concern on his face, as if he was staring at something straight ahead. So in order to not disturb whatever he was staring at, Emillie just hovered there, barely visible by Soran on the side. The rabbit-ish creature sat down abd nedagn to chew on the feathers on its wings. But it couldn't go anywhere, as it had a sort of glowing leash around its neck at that moment.

(OCC: Sure ^ ^ )

Soran looked around. He couldn't see what was following him but he knew it wasan't human nor any other race. Orc or nords would make to much noise walking, High or Wood elfs would ask for directions or something since they stuck to the lower lands of Morrowind. Dark Elfs wouldn't care ether way. They would leave him alone. Humans would talk to him just for the pleasure of it or something. But this was quieter... He was nervous. He drew his katana and his fire staff.

"All I need to do... is travel to this place and get the dues then I head up the road to the Tevanni wizard... He should be nice enough to give me Scrolls of Divine Intervention or something."

"Damn ash lands...damn blight storm...damn deadra lord..." Linduin grumbled as he made his way across the ash lands. He had walked into a harsh blight storm shortly after leaving Balmora, but he had put his head down and marched threw it as opposed to waiting for it to blow over. The storms were less normal then they had been in past years but still little cause for excitement amongst the general population. But the storm put him off his course, and he was conserned that he wouldn't be able to find Soran.

Linduin came over a rise and saw the distant form of Soran, suprised at his good fourtune. He sighed, releaved that he was still in good health. But he also noticed a creature of some sort floating above the dark elf, "What have we here?"

The old man picked up speed and gained on Soran. He made the creature out to be a dragon, not a usual sight, especially in Morrowind, but the creature had not yet killed Soran so it was safe to assume that wasn't it's intention. "Soran!" Linduin called out. Soran jumped as if he was startled by the call and whirled around. Linduin pointed to the sky and watched as Soran followed his gaze and seemingly for the first time noticed the dragon floating there above him.

(OCC: Armageddon you have a double post ^ ^ Just thought I would point that out no biggy.))
Soran looked above and had a bit of dread come over him he had never seen a real dragon and they were said to be extinct in Morrowind. The awe struck him as a kind of fear not knowing of its intentions. He pointed his fire staff its end caught on fire but didn't throw a fire ball. Soran was quite able to control it expertly.

"G-get back..." he said shakily.

But he thought that since it hadn't attacked it might have just been curious about him. A young dark elf out inthe middle of the ash lands alone would be curious. But still it could be blighted. He had read that dragons are smart... Very smart. He didn't put down his staff. He didn't want to be caught off guard if this was a trick.
