ChibiHorsewoman
Just like the title says. What CDs are you emberassed about owning so you hide them. But you listen to them anyway- you know kind of a guilty pleasure. On that same note, what CDs can you just not believe that you bought. As for myself. I own the first PCD's CD. Yes I know... go ahead point and laugh. But I was working on a story Im writing and needed Buttons for inspiration. I swear I haven't listened to it since September. Lady Asphyxia
Shame. On. You. FOR SHAME!! The ***** Cat Dolls? How could you?!? The ***** Cat Dolls are one of the most obnoxious bands on the planet. It's disgraceful and terrible. That being said, I also have PCD, the first album. Completely addictive, isn't it? Their songs are so morish, aren't they? I've also bought the Justin Timberlake album, which I never thought I'd do. I'm so obscenely unashamed, though. I think it fits in quite nicely with my Marilyn Manson and my Arctic Monkeys. Diversification, you know. [I just don't tell anyone that I dance to the PCD album when I'm alone, lol.]
Sazumechan
i have carefully hidden all my insync, backstreetboys, and britttany spears cds.i dont listen to them anymore but i am ashamed of myself for listening to them when i was younger.and the sad part is i still remember all the words! and i havent listened to them in years! DaSilva
I disappoint myself by owning Fall Out Boy's CD, "Under The Cork Tree." I believe that's what its called, but I'm not positive. Then I have this one really horrible local band's 5-year-old demo. I then redeem myself with some Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. And then I bring myself back down by owning PCD's first album. Theory: The P*ssy Cat Dolls are one big guilty pleasure that EVERYONE has.
2010DigitalBoy
My cousin (now 19 I think, maybe 18) got me into almost everything I listen to. He introduced me to metal, to prog-rock, to post-metal, and most of all I listen to. If he comes over, AFI's Decemberunderground goes in the closet. I feel embarassed every time I see it in my collection. Franz Ferdnand is bad enough, but I think AFI could warrant a smack in te face XD.
s a k u x3
Theory: The P*ssy Cat Dolls are one big guilty pleasure that EVERYONE has.
haha I definitley agree with that. I also own the first PCD CD...and it is currently a shelf in the back of my closet along with all of my 'N SYNC and Backstreet Boys CD's that I haven't listened to for years. :p
Nerdsy
I've managed to resist owning anything anything relating to the ***** Cat Dolls. Wait, scratch that; Weird Al uses their lyrics in his newest polka medley. Doesnt' count! I'm still free from their suck! I hide nothing from my friends. I'll proudly flaunt my Britney Spears, Moulin Rouge soundtrack, Luthor Vandross (even though I don't really know who that is), Lou Bega.... Especially Lou Bega. Everybody loves a good mambo.

Silent Alarm: Remixed on the other hand is a little more embarssing cos, a majority of the album is eletronic, and my friends really dont know what house music is. Roleni-Chan
Only one time it was a Good Charlote cd, but for my friend's Birthday. I never heard of it but just knowing I bought that, Im like what the...^^! I dont like exposing my music to people because there are people who are just burnouts and think that knowing some bands, you are cool. I seriously dislike those people and they shouldn't get out of the house if you are a fake, we dont need them. I just came up with another answer =p! GTK
.....I still own a Spice Girls cd DX I don't actually own the CDs, but I like to pretend there is no music by Kelly Clarkson, Robyn, or Coolio on my computer. ...I also have a horrible obsession with Brian Setzer ♥ ...last CD I bought? Linkin Park ~_~;; I keep looking back and going WTF was I thinking?
Claire
I don't own any CDs I feel the need to hide if I have company. I believe you shouldn't feel guilty about listening to any kind of music or artist as long as you enjoy listening to it. I try to be really open to people's musical tastes, so I'm open with my own. ...also, I'm too poor to be able to buy any embarassing CDs. :[
If he comes over, AFI's Decemberunderground goes in the closet. Allamorph
...also, I'm too poor to be able to buy any embarassing CDs. :[
Tru dat. (Wait. Did I really just type that?! :animeshy:) Anyway, when I do manage to purchase music, I generally go with artists I've heard and liked, and that I feel I would enjoy listening to repeatedly. As in ad nauseum. I also tend to be really critical of the music I listen to, so if there isn't much substance present, I leave it behind. With that said, I haven't personally bought anything I'm embarassed to let others see, but I had a set bought for me that should never have been allowed onto the recording floor. Imagine, if you will, a triolgic travesty of total triparte trash. (That was fun.) I was actually rather excited at first; for once in my life, I failed to read the fine print on the CD case(s). I had been given John William's music for the original Star Wars trilogy. What I failed to read was the phrase: "The music of John Williams as arranged and recorded by the New World Symphony Orchestra." For those who are blissfully unaware of this group, the NWSO is actually a orchestral college here in the states, and the only orchestral group to date that manages to sound like four electric keyboard players. You can imagine my displeasure.
Reason: Who knew you couldn't type this band's full name *sigh* you ppl are sick![/FONT']
Well, what did you expect? :animesmil I lose more synonyms to depraved vulgaric slang....
Guest Heero yuy
I hide my Pat Benetar: Greatist Hits cd. Every time I mutter under my breath "love is a battlefield" my friends always ask "What are you singing? Is that Benetar?" And the start to laugh. And I also hide my Rod Stewart cd's. Enough said. But I like his voice and I love Maggie May. My lust for 80's music is a secret to most of my friends. Oh, and Elton John...they'll never know. Cat
I hide some cds so well that they are lost now. For example all my Brittany Spears and Nsync are lost somewhere never to return. The ones I still know where they are that I hide are my Dream Street cd and Pokemon cd. Those I got right around the time as the Brittany Spears and such. Those cds just don't fit with all the puck rock, metal, and country cds. I also I hide this one cd right in the open because the cd art fits with the rest. Its The Lords of Acid greatest hits cd that my dad found at the airport. It has some of the dirtest songs and I would never want any one to listen to them. Luckly no one I know ever wants to listen to that cd.

But I can see why some people would make fun of it. Hey, it's just a different kind of music. As for me, I'd say my anime cds, specifically Ranma 1/2 ones. I used to try to memorize the lyrics :animeshy:. The songs sound like they're Asian 80s, but I still pop them in once in a while. Then I also listen to Vietnamese music every blue moon, and I bet my Vietnamese friends loath it, even when it's not pop, but the hard to find almost extinct rock stuff. I'd say my J-rock/Visual-kei band that I'm a bit self conscientious about when I listen to in front of others is that old band, SHAZNA. If you ever hear the music or seen the vocalist-- 'nuff said. Then there's all the ghetto booty hiphop songs that I have to turn the volume down on when I drive through my suburban neighborhood. =]
Theory: The P*ssy Cat Dolls are one big guilty pleasure that EVERYONE has.
There's so much truth in that. :animesigh

Play them with pride! I even have the Japan Bonus Tracks for Silent Alarm, even if they aren't the greatest tracks on Silent Alarm. I think my worst CD buy was Linkin Park's Reanimation. I loved it at the time, but after middle school it was one of those things in the past I tried to bury. I'm proud to say that I like nothing the Pussycat Dolls have produced. Take that, Silva, take that!
ChibiHorsewoman
YOu know that Retri has a PCD cd somewhere and just doesn't want to own up to it. I own Daughtry's CD.. how sad is that? Let's see... I have a collection of Christmas music and I listen to my daughter's cds too... I can't think of anything else. But really... I own Daughtry. How emberassing is that?
