[color=crimson]Hello, welcome to the underground post for The Great Tribulation. Ask any questions you've got here or make changes to your character if you'd like. I'll be posting information here about the RP some of it more important than the rest, lol.

[b]Critical Information[/b]

General setting- The setting of this RP is an alternate Earth set in the Renaissance. The technology of the era will readily present itself within the RP. I intend to have it have overtones of clockpunk.

Current chapter - [i]Sedition[/i]

The flames of revolution have erupted across the refugee camp. The "Maggiore" has overthrown the Doge and installed himself as leader of the Milano refugees. With the backing of the civilian population Army posts across the camp have been attacked by well armed, motivated militia men who fight with hellish devotion to the glimmer of hope the Maggiore offers- a surprise attack on a German border post.

The coup is complete and the Maggiore is preparing to move the refugees north towards Ticino [modern day southern Switzerland]...

Italian Empire- The unified states of Italia have been ruled by a Doge for two hundred years. Backed by the German Federation, the Most Serene Republic of Venice had unified the various city states of Italy into one contingent Empire. These ties to Germania have remained strong up until the Scourge's arrival. This Germania-Italia alliance has two main foes- the French and the Muslims. Wars have been fought with each numerous times.

Venice's strong roots in trade remained in the political structure of Italy. It was gifted with one of the most impressive fleets to sail the Mediterranean Sea. Connected even to the Kievan Principality in the Black Sea, there were few places that Italia could not sail to. Recently an explorer from Genoa had returned from places in the far West that had great promise for exploration. Unfortunately the Scourge's arrival left much of the Navy's splendor upon the ocean's bottom and it's glory seems firmly rooted in the past.

It's army is technologically mediocre but makes up for this with a strong focus on the training quality of it's troops more than it's arms. The tactics, morale and the command structure of the Italian Army were considered outstanding if not revolutionary. It has fought in intense wars with the Caliphate demons of the East a number of times to a standstill, even outnumbered by their hordes.

Currently the Empire has all but ceased to exist.[/color]

[color=crimson]Yeah, where do you think your character is during all of this? You can have her doing whatever you wish. You're a good RPer as are everyone who joined so you guys will have no problem following the overarching plot, heh.
