April Fools

So who here is into April Fools? It's not a huge deal where I live, but it doesn't stop me and my friends from pulling silly pranks on each other. One of them [strike]indifference[/strike] already clobbered me earlier today with a mock "I love you, let me count the ways" card. That when you opened it was full of reasons why they didn't love you. Stuff like I don't love you because... you're to short, have blue eyes, like the color green, etc. I got a good laugh out of it though.

So far the best April Fools prank I've seen today can be found here: Prank

If you are familiar with the story behind the person featured in it, it's definitely funny. Anyway, I haven't managed to pull any good pranks on anyone yet. Though I'm thinking about it.

So what did you guys do as far as pranks go? Or what have you done on a previous April Fools if you didn't do anything this year? Or did someone already nail you?

Interesting, most interesting.

I didn't do anything for April Fools this year, mainly because I was out with my family and mainly because I didn't realise it was April 1st until about 6 PM, which is too late to really do any pranking.

Best April prank probably came last year when I was in Tasmania. I was talking to a friend from here who shall remain nameless and purely for a joke spun a story about having been recently married to my knocked up girlfriend and asked him if it was OK if I called the child after him if it was a boy. Long story short after a lot of "I'm really honoured etc." I revealed the joke. We both had a good laugh, though I did feel a little bad as he really did seem to be honoured by the idea of naming my first-born son after him.

I broke up with my girlfriend for April Fool's. Needless to say she was happy to hear I was kidding after about an hour or so (I didn't want to wait longer to tell her I was kidding), but I'm sure I crossed the line with it. I told my best friends about it, they thought it was a bad idea, so naturally I had to execute such a horrid plan.

I didn't think of any good pranks to pull this year. But my older sister pulled one on me. She took a book I was reading and carefully cut out the last chapter. It wasn't a big chapter so I didn't realize that she had altered the book until I got to the end. o_O

After I lectured her about damaging a book, that sneak pulled out another one that she had bought to replace it with and simply handed it to me saying April Fools! :animesigh

It was funny, but that poor book! I still can't believe she mutilated it like that!

I got a few pranks pulled on me, because I don't like pulling pranks on people...

Well, one of the student papers on campus had said that Facebook was shutting down (I'm seriously a Facebook nut) but it was a joke.

Then the theOtaku one about Jeff. I almost believed it until I read the comments, heh.

And THEN my best friend (a guy) told me he had a girlfriend, but he doesn't. Well, there's a story behind that. We have a bet going that whoever gets a bf/gf first, has to buy the other one dinner at the place of their choosing, and he made me think that I won the bet....jerk. heh heh just kidding. I love him!

Because of my unhealthy amount of information my new job requires me to learn, in the past two weeks or so, times been drained away from me... I didn't even realize it was April Fools until this came up.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Future

Although a lot of people didn't seem to think so, I thought it was pretty well put together and it had me shouting "Ohmygawd" a few times while I was still fooled.
Though a lot of things were in there that show it was a prank...

Agahaa, I love how people fell for that. Not to rag on you (I can see why people would believe it in the shock), but some of the pictures of were so fanart-y and not amazing as professional background/concept pictures.

It was a good April Fools, though. But if that really happened to Zelda... :animedepr

Anyways, this April Fools I texted my friends that JK Rowling had died in a car crash, and they were freaking out for a bit until they realized it was April 1 (I sent it to them around midnight). And yes, we are huge Harry Potter dorks.
