The games I play the most are Test Drive Unlimited, Final Fantasy 11, DOOM, and Geometry Wars. Barely anyone from OB plays anymore though. The only people I see around are Alex (aka Papa Smurf, aka Brasil), Boo, and occasionally James and Chaos. Even I've been playing less lately, though I've no doubt I'll be hooked again when Eye of the North is released, if not sooner.[/color]

Unfortunately, no. If you had signed into your "James" profile, you could have made that into an Xbox Live account instead (you would probably have had to change the name, though), but I guess it's a bit too late for that now.

Anyway, I have a new gamertag. I've actually had it for a while now, but I had forgotten to post it here. My other account was suspended because the Visa giftcard I used to create it ran out of money, so I probably won't use it anymore.

It's 800 points.

Be careful because you're tied down to every thing with this. Like the new update allows MSN chats, but you can only use the account you registered your Gamertag with... you can't switch it. This isn't important to me, but I know some people like it.

I'm assuming your old name has you registered as being an adult too. If you're registered as a kid, that basically gets locked down with your Gamertag as well.

Otherwise, just try to connect with your old name and you should be prompted to give it some sort of online Gamertag as opposed to just your real name. Should be really simple.

I've so far only played one online session (where my connection decided to be slow enough to stop the game), but it seems I wasn't penalized for that...which is good. Xbox Live seems to know if it's a legitimate connection/lag issue where the game itself has stopped the match, versus someone actually quitting. So that was a relief.[/color]

This is probably because the person didn't bother to vote you as negative. Your penalties and such are in the hands of the people you play with essentially... and while you'll likely find jerks that give you poor marks for seemingly no reason, I've found that it balances itself out fine if you're a decent person on it.

I don't think Live itself makes any decisions to that effect.

[color=#606060]Yeah, I figure that the other user got the same message as me - that there were connection issues. Under such circumstances I suppose it would make no sense to vote against anyone.

So far I've mostly been playing C&C online - been really enjoying that. I haven't tried anything else. I did go to try Perfect Dark Zero in co-op but there was only one other person available at the time and they seemed inactive...they weren't responding or doing anything. *shrug*

I'll have to try my other games this weekend.[/color]
