The year is 2021

Many believe magic is only a myth, a story of powers that's been all but told too many times. But there are few ,however, who know the truth...Magic has often only been talked about in medieval times. The reason isn't spoken of often, but is known: magic was only used in medieval times. The power of magic itself was sealed away ages ago. When great kings feared wizardry dethroning them.

The seal used was not so much strong as it was secret. A powerful individual who actually found the seal itself could destroy it, and that's what exactly has recently happened. A descendant of a dark and magical family line read about the seal and tracked down it's location. The seal was in the form of a large carved stone tablet, hidden deep in a cave on an uncharted island.

This man hunted the seal out and eventually found it. He went into the cave shrine and broke the tablet, releasing the magic energies. Although, the energies did not do as expected. The man had thought the energy would surge threw himself, giving him the power to rule anything he wished. The magic did flow threw him, but it indeed went threw him, and kept going.

It crawled over the planet, contaminating everything it came in contact with. Turning house hold pets like dogs and cats into large beasts of hellish design. Bigger animals like elephants and lions became dominating creatures of death and destruction, rampaging over the planet killing all they saw. The worst beings came of the humans themselves.

People turned into mindless killing monstrosities. roaming around like zombies, but they did retain any knowledge of damage they once had, the ability to shoot and fight was all that remained. Some could even drive, if only for a short while before hitting something bigger than the vehicle.

There was some hope. A few men and women survived the contamination. They joined forces with those of an ancient society known as the "keepers". The keepers are those who kept up their magical ancestry. They remembered the teachings of the old code and fight strong. They use their magic against the beasts, though for good and justice or for mere survival is unknown.

OK, so there are roving bands of monsters and demonic humans all over the planet. Those who somehow survived have to join together as one force, then they must find the seal and restore it. You can sign up as a magic user of the old code, they use magic and medieval style weapons. Or you can be a modern civilian, obviously they utilize whatever technology they can get their hands on. Including but not limited to: firearms and explosives.

[B]Bio: [/B] She doesn't know where she grew up or her real name, she forgot everything from her entire life before the age of 13 when she was hit by a lighting bolt (hence her nickname). She woke up and when she couldn't remember anything and a man now standing over her decided to take her in and teach her the ancient ways of magic.

He taught her many different forms of magic all which she had modest understanding of but none as much as time magic. After mentally practicing for the next 3 years of her life she understood much that there was to understand with time magic. She developed an interest in weapondary when she turned 17 and started practicing with guns and swords. She had a natural talent and got profecient with them very quickly.

Her master was surprised at her quick progress with the blade and taught her a few sword magics that he had learned from his ancient order that awaited the time of magic to return. Tho she seemed to be bad at learning the background to where the magic itself came from and why it took such a strain on the body she seemed prepared enough to meet the ancient order. The ancient order welcomed her into they're small society which they said was 1 of many around the world that remembered the days of magics. For the next years she practiced and learned more about magic than she did when she was her masters apprentice now that she had more knowledge.

Around her 20th birthday they started to talk about individuals looking for an ancient artifact that sealed away magic around the end of the medeival ages. They talked about how such a power could corrupt all who it touches as it would take time for it to become stable and the animals of this world would not have felt the power for many years and that they may not be equiped with so much power in the enviroment.

Around when she turned 21 her master started talking about feeling energy flows unbalancing and feeling a great evil being unleashed upon the world. A few weeks later many odd things started to happen, people started to get violent, her master disapeared and left a note of where she must go as she seemed to be one of the more proffecient at understanding magic and may not be effected as much as the main population because of her mental preparations and that there would be others there to explain things more.

[B]Bio:[/B] Mystere grew up living with only her mom for most of her life. She never really knew her dad since her died when she was three and her mom never really talked about it with her. She was always drawn to the magic teachings of her mother. When she finally entered high school, her mother had died in an accident and she never saw her again. Now and again she goes to her mother's grave and makes some offerings and says hi. In high school it was rough and hard. She was always tempted to use her magic but she didn't. Mystere was afraid of what the kids would say about her.

She kept her powers hidden unitl the time when many humans were turning into monsters and many animals were killing beasts. She then joined up with some others like her and together she would help restore the tablet.

[B]Bio: [/B] Growing up as a member of the elusive 'keepers' he was taught all about magic and the history of it. He learned about weaponry as well and decided to take up mastering the battle umbrella and throwing needles, as exotic weapons they are meant to surprise the opponent. He learned fast and became a high ranking member within a few years, recently he noticed the magic effects on the world and his sanctum was attacked. Using his battle prowess and magical skill he escaped unscathed, but the majority of his branch were killed. Now he searches for new partners to help him find and restore the seal of ages.

[I][U]Needles:[/U][/I] The needles are exactly 5 inches long and in the thickest point are one cm thick. Reese mainly uses them as a throwing weapon, but in the umbrella they can fit 5 per pocket in the needle pockets threw out the underside. For the most part they stay in place, but they can be taken out by hand or they will quickly shoot out if the umbrella is spun rapidly while open.
[I][U]Closing:[/U][/I] When the umbrella closes, rather than simply forming a cone, the plates fold and form a star-like shape. Virtually making a pole with razor blades lining it. On the handle there are three symbols, energy, water, and ice. Pressing in the ice symbol (bottom) the mechanism activates and the umbrella opens.
[I][U]Panels:[/U] [/I] Each panel is made of carbonized steel. They are 3 millimetres in thickness, for weight purposes, and they are hand sharpened.

Personality: Lyon is the quiet and serious type. He doesn?t really talk much but he only talks when he thinks it is the appropriate time to do it. Although he may seem cold hearted, but to the ones that knows him, he is actually very friendly and responsible.

Appearance: Standing at 6?2, he has short dark red hair which falls on the left and small, serious eyes which is black in color. For his attire, he puts on a gray round collared shirt and black trousers. Besides that, he has a black headband and sometimes, he wears his dark red cape.

Skills: Wind magic. He can summon big gust of wind as well, but he never intends to unless he has a good reason.

Bio: Before the roving bands of monsters and demonic humans step a foot in this planet, Lyon was living with his mother in a hut on a nearby cliff. His mother was dying from tuberculosis, but there isn?t anything that he can do about it. After his mother dies when he was all alone, surviving by himself in his surroundings.

Days later, Lyon went out to hunt, but he found himself head-to-head with a group of thugs. He tried to defend himself from them. In the battle, he found out that he was gifted with the power to control the wind when he was about 14 years of age. The group of thugs left because they think it is suicide to fight him.

After that, he went back to his little hut and tried perfecting his magic. He is still perfecting his skills now.

[B]Personality:[/B] Daren believes that there are three types of people in the world, there are sheep who are average people who only hurt people on accident, there are wolves who torment and attack the sheep, and then there are the sheepdogs who's sole purpose is to protect the sheep. Daren sees himself as the sheepdog, he is very confrontational but can be friendly and is known to crack jokes when he deems them inappropriate.

[B]Skills:[/B] He has implants that are implanted in his cerebrum that augment his abilities to a near superhuman form. He is also trained in the use of every basic firearm.

[B]Bio:[/B] Daren was raised in a normal suburban family in Liverpool, UK. He left his family and went into the marines. He lost half of his right hand in battle, losing his thumb, index and middle fingers. He was useless in battle. He then found out about a program for military amputees that makes them protect limbs that hook into the nerve endings to allow free movement. He did this and was astounded with their work, he signed up for another test with implants to augment human abilities. They inserted chips into his cerebrum which increased his muscle tissue making him faster, stronger, and more agile. They also placed chips that increased his reasoning.

Daren stayed in the program for a year before the UK government decided that it was too expensive and scrapped the program, they left Daren unemployed. He studied the construct of firearms and how to operate them. He now is operating out of a apartment in London as a bodyguard for hire and a gunsmith. He has some magic lineage but it was long since forgotten.

[B]Personality:[/B] Zero is an enigma even to those who consider themselves his friend. He may seem crazy and unpredictable, but he has a code of morals that don't allow him to retreat when a friend is in danger.

[B]Appearance:[/B] He is 5'10", has long black hair that goes to his shoulders. His eyes are silver, but appear as dots of red in darkness. He generally wears black boots, pants, and a white tanktop.

[B]Skills:[/B] He has enhanced senses, strength, speed, etc. He has perfect night vision, and is most comfortable in darkness. He can produce fire at will, but it will tire him after a period of time.

[B]Bio:[/B] Before magic was released into the world, Zero was a bounty hunter. He believed that killing criminals was justified, for he believes that their punishment should fit the crime. Now, with his enhanced abilities, He wanders around, looking for survivors, killing any creature that rises to stop him.

[B]Weapons:[/B] He carries two .50 caliber Desert Eagle handguns, which he calls the Hellraiser Twins. He also has a thick 7' chain that he uses for many things, but mostly as a whip.[/COLOR]
