You can disapprove all you want and that's fine. However, your disapproval becomes of our concern when you backseat mod and continue to do so when asked specifically not to. In this way, you are ironically becoming a problem yourself--especially when you are "not unaware" of how the board works. :catgirl:

OtakuBoards is not an incredibly large real-life society; the staff in place is more than capable of enforcing the rules and keeping things in order. Has been and always will be. You act as if the site is overrun by behavioral problems that are left unaddressed or something.

There's nothing wrong in taking a certain degree of ownership over your threads (or the boards in general.) However, it's those overzealous non-staff members with a sense of duty/entitlement who end up creating more problems for the community than most spammers do.

Anywho, yes, i realise I have no choice in the matter, and that's why I've been at least trying to downplay my 'backseat modding' even though it appears I can get away with absolutely nothing. Yall seriously need to specify what exactly qualifies as 'backseat modding'

and as for saying that it's okay to have a sense of ownership, please don't say that, because it's you who's confusing me this time. I've tried more subtle ways of saying things, I've tried the 'nip it in the bud' technique, hell, I know I've come up with quite a few ways to help my thread without coming across as backseat modding, but you guys shoot me down at every turn. Just tell me specifically what I can do and nothing more, kay?

I personally canot even remotely se what the big deal is with the (non)issue anyway.

Being serious for a second, people [i]should[/i] PM a staff member if they see something out of line, rather than posting about it in the thread itself. It makes our job easier because we can just deal with the real issue in the thread without having to slog through complaints about the spam, and it's also likely to get the problem taken care of sooner.
