You can imagine how annoying it is to have your English teacher pronounce your name wrong everyday, even with me AND my English class reminding her. She still hasn't gotten it yet. -_-

My middle name is the hardest for anyone to pronounce because it's Hawaiian. My middle name is Kawailehua, which means, "The radiant flower in the rain" or something like that. The W is pronounced like a V in the Hawaiian language, so it's more like Kavai. When I was young, I learned how to spell my name by thinking of Kawaii, so... yup.

And finally, my last last name (lol) is Lovett, which is my step dad's side of the family. He adopted me and my sister, so we got his last name. I really love it because, well... it's Lovett! A lot of people like to make fun of me and saying that I Loveit! or something.

Well... my whole name is: Tiana Kawailehua Talbert Lovett. I love it because it's so unique and has different languages in each name.

That name's going on my High School Diploma when I graduate soon... I can imagine it taking up all the free space and our announcer pronouncing it wrong, lol.[/FONT]

And so far no one has managed to mess up Beth. I've gone by Beth for 24 years now so in many ways I don't even consider Elizabeth my name anymore, other than on legal papers and such. I've often thought of legally changing it to Beth since that's how I think of myself.

My name is pretty easy. Claire. It's not a very common name around my area, but, it's very simple. I usually have no one that has troubles with pronouncing it, but a lot of people don't know how to spell it. They always leave out a letter. It's actually really funny, because my last name is even simpler than my first. But people don't seem to get it. Then the situation died down for about 10 years, and this year (as a junior in HIGH SCHOOL) my new friends realized the rhyme and now call me that.

And now the last name. Vitolins. Vee. Toe. Linz. Not that harder - in fact, quite easier than its actual Latvian pronunciation [Vee-twa-LEENCH]. But instead, no one can read it, and very few people can write it. Instead, I and my familty get Viotolins, Vitilins, Vitolons, Violin, VISTOLA, etc.

Plus, coming from a group of band nerds as friends, every day someone new tells me that my last name is only one letter away from "violins" and that I should have played that instead of the trumpet.

My last name is Duffey. D-U-F-F-E-Y. I can't tell you how many times my last name has been spelled wrong. Its even spelled wrong on my diploma for entering high school! (Not sure if all schools do that...) Every time I see my name spelled like that, it irritates me to the point that I want to beat some sense into them seeing as how 90% of the worlds population lacks it...anyways, a common misspelling of my last name is 'Duffy'. Yes, like the actor Patrick Duffy. And when someone references me to him, I want to smash their skull in with their own stupidity. But, I do have a lot of nicknames due to my last name...here are some examples: Duff Master, Big D, Duff Man, Duff Beer, Duffmeister, Scruff McDuff (a seething hate filled name I want to destroy).

One small event about my middle name, Wayne, was during my senior year. One of my friends noticed I draw a lot of anime style stuff. So he thought my middle name was 'Wang', thinking I was part Chinese or something. XD I wasn't mad though, I just thought it was hilarious as hell. A common misconception when people think with their eyes and not with their ears.

I haven't had any problems with my first name, which is Matthew. I do get called variations of my first name, like Matt, Matty, or my girlfriends favorite version, Matty-chan. ^_^

The best incident to illustrate this was my French teacher at the start of the year, where she called my name off the register and despite my frantic hand waving refused to acknowledge I was Jamie until I shouted it at her. She said she was looking for a boy, and asked if Jamie was shortened from anything.

My friend Ramzi also thought it was short for Jamelia. (But who is he to talk, with a name like Ramzi Mechergui?)

The surname isn't too much fun either, but one deals with it. Like Dodeca, I plan on giving my kids really awkward names that they'll hate me for throughout most of their young lives. I'm sure they'll appreciate it in the long run, though.[/SIZE]

My name's really similar to Asuka from Evangelion. Just a "y" instead of a "k". It should be easy, but no~! No one gets it right. Here are some of the things I've been called: Ashuya; Ashuwa; Asheiya; Ashuyo; Asuwa: Asewa; Asuka; Asia; A; Ashu; Azya; Azeya; Azuwa; Ajuwa; Ashuka; Azeya; Asiya; Asuma... And I'm sure there are more that I can't remember...

Some of the people who got my name wrong: family members; teachers who've known me for over 1 year; friends who've known me for over a year...
