[COLOR=DarkOrange]A lot of elitist punks get all prudent every time music videos are good. 'Since when does music get judged by videos?!' they might say. And they're right, music is it's own entity. But lets all admit it -- music videos can be cool as hell sometimes and add another layer to the song.

Everyone has a favorite music video (or a few...[SIZE=1] hundred[/SIZE]...) so what are yours? Also, why do you like the video so much? Note that this is NOT an AMV thread.

My first pick is [B]Mastodon's[/B] video for [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZKw2s_AxUIw][B][COLOR=DarkOrange]The Wolf Is Loose[/COLOR][/B][/url]. It's a cool littel adventure of a man putting together the pasts of several ghosts and seting them all free. I like the atmosphere, and how the franticness of the man keeps up with the pace of the song. Plus, the guys really cool-looking. So's the bassist :animesmil

Then of course there's [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=mIwTxkTEUqY][B][COLOR=DarkOrange]The Widow[/COLOR][/B][/url] by [B]the Mars Volta[/B]. Really creepy, sleazy, and overall just a crazy experience. i remember my mom and i watching it in the morning and it got my mom to buy the album, which today is my favorite album ever. Thanks for the great video, TMV! Okay, that made it official. I can't stand Mastodon.

I'm sure I could come up with more/better than this, but the last video I watched and thought was pretty cool was [B]Finntroll[/b]'s [URL=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1vumjWdqYQ][I]Nedgång[/I][/URL] (click song title for video). It's a cool thematic video, and the part at 2:05 is too catchy for it's own good (as per usual in the Finntroll camp). If you get bored, just skip to that part. Enjoy.

[font=arial][size=1]La Quiete has a really cute video for their song, "Giugno". Basically, they put out a 3-song EP and asked around for people to make a video for each of the songs. This one was made using stop motion, which just adds to the cuteness. It might take a few viewings to get it, but once you figure it out, it's a really sad and beautiful theme.

I'm one of the people that have a few hundred videos that I like that go a far back as the 70s and 80s. I'll just name the most resent ones however.

The 69 Eyes~ Perfect Skin video. It has a wierd theme to it then what I have see in other videos. It was also a great shocker seeing how they kind of had a new look to them.

The 69 Eyes~ Never Say Die. This one though me for a loop too. Again it was different then their other music videos. The song its self is also I think a little different then the older stuff.

Wednesday 13~ I Walk With A Zombie. Its a funny song to me and the video relates to the song perfectly. Its like an old zombie move where it looks to fake to be real yet fun.

Wednesday 13~ My Home Sweet Homicide. Again I find the video to be funny. It goes though the life of a clown whose wife cheats on him. He then goes about all mad and basicly gets all the band memebers annoyed enough to call the cops. In the end the wife what cheating with the lead singer of the band and the husband gets arrested.

Wednesday 13~ Bad Things. Its a concert type of video buts it funny with some of the things they do

Murderdolls~ White Wedding. I like to compare it to Billy Idols White Wedding video. As of now I can't deside which one I like better. They both do a good job in their own way.

Murderdolls~ Dead in Hollywood. Cool video that takes place in a metal hospital basicly. You have Marilyn Manson playing as the doctor for the band memebers at certain points.

Cat14: I'm not going to watch all of those, since you didn't provide any links or anything, but I will say this. I Walked With A Zombie song + video = freaking awesome! Video is hilariously bad, and the song is hilariously cheesy but still great. I used to listen to this song all the time while playing Dead Rising. Perfect anthem.

Once again, it was the video that got got me interested in the band, lol. It's funny, cuz these are by far the two least special songs on the album... guess everything else was too strange for TV.[/COLOR]

Except, you know, he was singing in a language I don't even begin to know, lol. It wasn't a bad song, though, guy's got a good screaming voice at least. The tree hand kicks though - i want a tree hand!!!

now, much as I don't like to flaunt a version of a song that's been mercilessly cut short for the sake of radio play, how could I not reccomend [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=wwJrl5b5m2o][B][COLOR=DarkOrange]Operation Ground And Pound[/COLOR][/B][/url] by [B]Dragonforce[/B]? The entire vide is b-dazz, but the part where Herman Li and Sam Totman are playing themselves as a video game is both the cheesiest and most totally awesome thing to ever grace television.

Of course, who the hell doesn't remember [url=http://youtube.com/watch?v=LuhQOUiT-sA][B][COLOR=DarkOrange]Clint Eastwood?[/COLOR][/B][/url] This [B]Gorillaz [/B] video is one of the most well-known and multiculturally accepted videos ever. Everyone's heard of it. Not to mention all those great vids for [B]Demon Dayz [/B] that I'm sure we've all seen a thousand times.

One of the coolest music videos I've ever seen would have to be "All That I've Got" by The Used...it's really creative and the outfits are cool, too.

A man answered Armin's add, and they cut off and ate the man's penis together :sick:.Armin then killed the man and ate his body over time for a few weeks. I love the story and the how bizarre the video is.

This video I find awesome simply because it deals with something I really like: looking at the everyday and making it a little more absurd. I ended up making a video for my college final exams where one of the scenes in a restaurant basically mimicked this video.

Oh, and I also like Bogdan Raczynski's music in general...much to the chagrin of my friends.
