Anime Theme Songs You Hate

[FONT=Courier New][COLOR=Indigo]...I personally didn't mind the dub opening of Sailor Moon, but it being my favorite anime of all time, I basically love everything about the series. And yes, the old Pokemon was the best [[though that doesn't explain why I'm still watching the new ones that suck....]]

Anyway, back to anime songs. I did not like the second Bleach ending, Thank You. Though it may be catchy after listening it to it a lot, it's just not that great. Oh, and the second opening of Death Note, What's Up People. What were they thinking? It completely ruined it, I can't stand it. Please tell me someone agrees with me on this one.[/COLOR][/FONT]

You can't take it personally, just like how you can't spam the thread. So if you're going to post in this thread, try to follow with the topic, rather than flaming someone else.
Also... quality and content in your post. You didn't back up your arguments by saying why Kamichama rocks (even though this is the wrong thread for that, so I don't encourage you to do that right now). So if you're going to post about a theme song you hate, make sure to post your reasons behind your loathing. Another theme song that I hate is the Fruits Basket dub opening theme. The theme song had somewhat of an annoyance to me. Don't get me wrong, I loved the anime (have the box set) and I collect and read the manga as well. I guess if someone likes it, it's just them but for me it's different.

I also watched Mew Mew for some time and then it died on me. I didn't like the theme song for the dub and it seemed like it was lacking something. [/COLOR]

I don't like the Kamichama Karin theme only because it seems to not fit the style of the anime in my opinion, I also hate the dubbed version of Tokyo Mew Mew [Mew Mew Power] because it sucks and I liked the original better. Another one was the opening theme to .Hack//Sign. I didn't get the point of the dancing woman in the beginning. To me it made no sense and my sister agreed with me. So many animes yet I can't remember and other damn theme songs that I hate. Dammit![/COLOR]

The YuGiOh dub theme song though. Wow, it's horrendous. It's just the music with the words 'YuGiOh' thrown in every so often along with 'It's time to duel'. And the only thing that changed with each different season were the scenes in the opening, while the music stayed exactly the same. In the Japanese version they had different songs for each season as with most anime.[/color]

So far incidents of shootings and other violence have been uncommon, but they will continue to grow over time. We've already got Kansai seiyuus regularly calling out Kanto ones, and the latter return the favor. The anime community is still recovering from the recent loss of Tupako and the Notorious M.O.E.; either the industry will get itself in shape soon, or they'll lose even more of their brightest talents to this useless violence.

Pokemon a train wreck? From what I hear/see it seems to be doing very well recently, maybe it died out for a while when Yu-Gi-Oh came out and became popular but it seems fine to me.


That's such a hard question for me, usually I like most of the themes of animes I watch but if I must pick, Rock the Dragon, the original American DBZ opening theme, I'm sorry it was cool back then but when you look at it now, it sucked compare to the others, in my opinion at least.

Sometime ago I bought the .Hack//SIGN box set. It was good but the theme song was really annoying. I guess I was expecting something in Japanese instead of English the entire time. Oh well, what can you do?

I don't care too much for the naruto 5th opening theme. The guy who sings it sounds really weird.
I also don't like the Bleach opening theme. It seems to me like it has no purpose really.[/COLOR]

I don't really know if this one counts, but I absolutely hate it. It, ironically, comes from my favorites anime, Neon Genesis: Evangelion. Its that god forsaken ending theme song. It's terrible! It sounds like elevator music, and I had mute everytime the show was over. It made me think "geez, they made such an awesome and intriguing anime, but they choose this to close the show?!?" It was just terrible, and I wish they would've chosen something else for a ending theme.

Well, I don't remember the Mew Mew Power (Cringe... they even changed the name!) theme, but it probably sucked as much as everyone said. (I just hated the dub in general.)

I really, really hated the first Naruto opening theme. There is nothing musical about people shouting.

I personally didn't like the dub Fruits Basket theme, but the original japanese version is beautiful.
Actually, I was disappointed in funimation for dubbing an anime theme. As much as I respect them, they should know not to mess with a good thing.

For me I hated the theme music like Gokusen's or Samurai Girl Ran's because it might remind me of Japanese culture in the past! Better listen to the funny themes... :animeangr

Well the two that I dislike are the ones for Samurai Champloo and One Piece. Both of them grate on my nerves. But then I've never liked that style of music, ever. But yeah, anytime I attempt to watch those shows I mute it for the opening.

Do they still own the license to that? They lost a lot of ground recently. Then again, they own the Saturday morning blocks for Fox AND CW, which sucks, because my fond childhood memories of Animaniacs are being ruined by crap like "Johnny Test" and "Skunk-Fu." (What a horrid pun for the name of a show, by the way.)

Sad story when they replace cool anime shows for kids to watch with random cartoons that don't even have a plot/story.

Also, not a fan of Naruto ending themes. The openings are great, the endings, not so much. I don't know if it's because they don't compare to the openings but for some reason I just don't like them.

Actually, I'm kind of grateful that 4Kids has moved on from dubbing. At least their original shows are terrible to begin with.

I saw an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time in ages the other day, and that crap theme music just went straight through me. I can't understand how I managed to actually sit through and enjoy most of that series. Oddly though, I actually like the GX music for some reason.

Along with YGO comes DBZ, I may be a huge DBZ fan, but even I can admit that the dub versions music just plain sucked.[/size]

Other than that the season 2 Genshiken opening theme springs to mind. It's not that I totally hate it. I just think it sucks *** compared to the first two Manzo songs. ;)
