ChibiHorsewoman
I have to do this thread because one of the local car dealerships runs the most annoying low budget commecials ever! Their most recent one involves this skinny guy with a guitar playing that rally song off key while the fat guy keeps chanting Huge. It's not only dumb and annoying, it's also off key! So now i have to ask, what are some annoying commercials that you (due to complete lack of live tv and the ability to fast foreward through commercials) have had to sit through?
TheShinje
Shampoo commercials. While I genuinely enjoy a "so awful it's hilarious" commercial like the one Chibi described, Shampoo commercials are not entertaining, even in the "so-awful-its-hilarious" category. Shampoo commercials just try too damn hard, and are always boring as hell. My hatred for shampoo commercials deepended when I became a collector of classic advertising dating from the 80's to today, and I realised that the shampoo commercials today are exactly the same (in direction and imagery)as the ones they showed in the yesteryears! Shampoo commercials. Try too hard. Suck real hard. Same old tard. Worst. Commercials. Ever!
Guest Azuraga
I hate the new Visa commercials. All they do is show that everyone who uses Visa's pay-pass system is an ***. Its like life is SOOO terrible, esspecially when someone in front of you pays in cash! Geez, people look stupid in the commercials. OMG, He gave me cash! Now I have to do simple math and press a button! Boo hoo! Dang, I friggin' hate Visa now.
Jiazu
that commercial for freecreditreport dot com... that guy is so annoying.. "and it happens to be 720!".. he's really obnoxiously smug.. hmm yeah i guess that's it, i guess those head on commercials are pretty awful, but they quit with them months ago (mostly)... @Kuja... well i guess there are only so many ways you can say "buy this coz itll make ur hair rly shiny!!!!!!!!!!!111!!" desertphoenix
I just realized the only down side of staying up late is the Girls Gone Wild commercials. When I was 8, it was the greatest thing on tv, but now it's annoying. The taunting flashing "too sexy" and "censored" bars tend to piss me off. They still use that Caribbean theme song, which alone sounds like bad porn music. Comedy central and [a_s] seem to play them twice every commercial, once in full and another with just a quick second showing it in a subliminal way. Whenever I hear "I'm thiiiinking of a number," I can't help but laugh in remembrance. I hate commercials advertising food products in which the people eating them are enjoying the food as if it were an amusement park. It's even worse when I've had the food product and it's nowhere near as tasty as they made it out to be.
Sara
I don't know about annoying, but the New Mexico commercials are silly, and I love them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyZGwhZceKA
Shy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNlt0D_xba4 There is something about talking animals that just makes me want to heave. I was looking for flea medication for my new puppy and every time I bought their product I thought of this stupid song. I guess this means their advertising works; as long as you remember the product it doesn't matter what you think of the commercials. We have a lot of awful commercials in Southern California. The worst are these radio ads for a local mattress store. They feature the high-pitched owner arguing wth his accountant over the low prices they offers. They've been running as long as I can remember, and every few months they seem to come up with a new variation on them. I think the current one takes place at a beach party or something. -Shy
Claire
There was a really bad car sales-place commercial on TV a lot when I was in the smallest town in Florida this weekend. It started out with two younger girls sitting on a big yellow SUV. They both had southern accents (which is strange, considering where I live is even more southern than that town and nobody speaks that way here. Maybe it's their proximity to the culturally southern states?) Girl 1: "Daddy said he's bringin' in a celebrity to help sell cars next month. Who do you think it'll be?" Girl 2" "I don't know, but I shore' hope he's kee-yoot!" Then there's a transition for some reason. A boy sticks his head up from behind the hood of the car. Boy: "Kee-yoot? Oh my goodness, girls." Hand flap. Another transition. Girl 2: (Broadway style shrug) "What's wrong with Brandon?" ANOTHER transition. Girl 1: (weird pause) "Boys!" Hand flap. At the end the girl kept saying "Tee-yota" instead of Toyota. It made me giggle for a while.
The Spectacular Professor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPhAHYAsWgQ Seriously, though, that yogurt commercial for the yoplait whips. That song... ugh. "My Little Fluffy One..." What the crap is that supposed to mean, anyway? Plus the whole stereotypical obnoxious french lover voice just turns it into a train wreck. The worst part is probably the fact that the song is STUCK IN MY HEAD.

Semjaza
I'm extremely, extremely tired of commercials with narrators that sound completely and utterly bored. Somehow Dunkin Donuts has taken someone as (arguably) dynamic as John Goodman and makes him sound like a man on the verge of jumping off a bridge but is too lazy to do so. This was especially bad when Dunkin' Donuts had those commercials where people sang awful songs and looked at the camera like "WTF am I doing this for". It got to the point where I just had to change the channel the second I saw the things... Which was quite often. And it's not like I watch tons of TV. Sometimes I don't even really watch it all week. You just get bombarded even within 30 minutes sometimes. The new ones with Rachael Ray are almost worse.
The Spectacular Professor
Now that I think of it, Sunsilk is getting on my nerves, too. The blondes vs. Brunettes thing is so overdone that it is now a rare occasion that I laugh at a new blonde joke. Most of the new ones are crap anyway. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! HOW can I have possibly forgotten abot Head-On? Makes me want to apply my foot directly to someone's face. And the new series that actually has the unmitigated GALL to brag about how annoying the original commercial was! I've seriously thought about buying the entire stock from my local Wallgreen's just to set them on fire in front of the store. They don't even work, being 99% wax and all. It's basically an annoying, overhyped placebo.

I laughed until I nearly cried just at that guy's voice. Perfect. I've always hated the [AS] commercials where they use that Hot!Hot!Hot!Hot! song, but that's far from worst. I hate any lengthy commercial for some crap like Bowflex and Gold Kit and crap, they all suck. ZOMG! I remember! Worst commerical ever has to be ZANTREX 3!!! This is the commercial - 8 seconds long. "ZENTREX 3! More Weight loss! Faster weight loss! Energy to burn! ZANTREX 3!!! *short pause* ZANTREX 3!!!" And then... EVERY time they play it, they play it either twice or three times, and once they played it 4 times back to back! AUGH!!!

Advertise a headache cure with a commercial that gives people headaches so they are forced to try the product which is a placebo but they don't know that because by the time they get back from Wallgreen's the headache is gone so the product appears to work. Hah. I'm out of school. I can make as many run-on sentences as I want.
Rambling_soup
The power chair commercial. It seriously gets on my nerves. Especially the one with all of the old people singing. Oh! This is kind of crude... But seriosly, the one's where they talk about how acid reflux disease can lead to "ED". Stuuuupid and gross. Makeup commercials. I hate those commercials. Especially when they give the products stupid names. Alliteration may get it stuck in someone's head, but it doesn't mean they'll buy it. Hair dye/ shampoo commercials. Mostly because they are all some super model or celebrity who gets her hair done professionally and probably doesn't even use the product. Plus, the hair is never real. They just go in and animate over the hair flipping scenes to make hair seem shinier. The biggest load of BS ever. Car commercials in general have to be the most annoying thing ever, besides commercials for the small businesses that just repeat the same thing over and over. Oh, and Chuck E Cheese commercials. I can't watch Toonami without wanting to barf anymore.

I especially like the older one where the two old ladies go to the Grand Canyon and yell out "HOVAROUND!!" and listen to it echo. Good stuff.
