Also, it would seem prudent to have some sort of interfering sub-enemy get in the way before we actually get to the Count, so's our people can have themselves a nice little warm-up brawl. :animesmil Wraiths work, or some of those things Alex fended off earlier (bone dragons?); they don't necessarily have to be vampire minors if that makes [COLOR="darkred"]DB[/COLOR] edgy.

That and it milks the action, I think. Override me if you guys don't want to bother with it, though.[/FONT]

The theory being that the presence of the Shinigami triggered the trap since naturally the Count wouldn't leave getting to his personal chambers so open and easy. Or so my reasoning goes. If it had just been the little vampire girl she would have gone straight there, but since it wasn't... you all now get to have fun fighting the horde of monsters in that room. [FONT=Arial]I'd assume she's just trying to keep up. Nathan didn't tell [I]her[/I] to bug off, even though he's noticed her, and since he doesn't currently find her to be useful or in any serious danger (though that could change), he's not going to worry about her all that much.

It seems like it'd be less of a conflict this way, actually. Before, Nevril had Astera, Aeru, [I]and[/I] Joe ? who's been conveniently forgotten about lately ? and now it's just Astera and Nathan.

If you'd like to make something of the situation, Nathan would probably make some remark about Tag to her, since he's going to be doing some wall-bouncing for the moment, shooting as he goes. As for the creatures, he'll only kill them if they become a threat or are in his way...or one of the others needs their backs covered for a split second. He's trying to get that failsafe activated as quickly as possible. (Finger pistols FTW. :p)

Just to let all of you know... I do have a plan for getting us started on the Count... And yet at the same time with it being the week before finals I'm finding myself with not enough time to really plan the post out. Or you could say that at the moment I'm in too many rpgs. XP Still I do plan on getting something up in the next day or two or at the very latest, this weekend. I've got a surprise in mind so I hope all of you like it.

EDIT:[/B] And now that I have gotten past finals and everything, I have finally posted. Sorry for taking so long. XP Anyway, the basic deal here is that the Count has cursed the Shinigami in the room with him. That curse is slowly stripping everyone of the connection between the two worlds, which means that with each passing moment, we are all becoming weaker.

The only one not affected is Nathan since he was not in the room at the time the spell was cast. So the idea is that unless they manage to deal with the Count and soon, before long they will lack the strength to be able to put an end to him. :p Oh and as you saw, it's made it easier for us to get hurt as well as he clobbered Alex a bit.

So, any thoughts as to where we want to go with this? For all intents and purposes everyone is pretty much out of the mansion, even Shalua once Lucia wakes her up. I left it vague as to what everyone did since I wasn't sure what all of you had in mind.

Oh and I hope you don't mind the little spat and using Astera like that Crystia. It just seemed like she'd do something like that if Adrian was hurt. After all she is his [I]'shrill security blanket'[/I] after all. :D

Alex intends to wait until he's fully healed before he goes to talk to Nathan. And since he'll check in for work, if they have an immediate assignment for him, it might even be longer than that. Though not by much, say another half a day at most.
