Gavin
Berserk. Finished the anime last weekend, decided it was too awesome to not know what happened after
the Eclipse
and moved on to the manga. 304 chapters later I have to admit it's probably the best series I've got into in quite a while, shame about the space between updates though.
Shinmaru
I should probably start using this thread more often. Aside from the spring anime I'm watching, I'm also catching Hayate no Gotoku! in random spurts with Des. Pretty decent show. The story is just all right (and it's slipping into just random stuff as of where I'm at), but the comedy is consistent, and there are a ton of good characters. It's somewhat lengthy (first season is 52 episodes, and the second season is currently airing at 9 episodes), so I don't know if I would recommend it unless you really love anime comedy, but I am enjoying it. Also watching Hare+Guu Final, which I have been putting off forever for some reason.
mangamaniack21
Rewatching Jing: King of Bandits. now i remember why the show was so awesome to begin with X33 it's just really addicting and fun to see what happenes. plus the situations are strange, and the fact that there is something as a kind criminal makes it even more intriguing X33 also i just love how Kir hits on human females XD and Jing when he's asleep ^^ going to watch: Axis Powers Hetalia episode 2 Maburaho volume 7 AzuManga Daioh
2010DigitalBoy
I just bought a whole ton of DVDs with money I got from my graduation, most of which are 90s OVAs and many of which are old Akiyuki Shinbo works. I also ordered all of Baccano which I will be forcing my parents to watch as soon as it comes in :D I most recently watched the 2-episode 1987 OVA Twilight Q which had an episode directed by the guy who did Ocean Waves which was decent, and an episode done by Mamoru Oshii, which was excellent, chalking up to another 'reason I barely don't hate Mamoru Oshii.' I also watched the first episode of Gun Frontier on ANN which was surprisingly fun, and am going to watch Space Symphony Maetel soon, mostly because Kikuko Inoue is in it as Emeraldas and she's coming to Otakon so I want to brush up on her roles, but it will also be a way to finally break into the Leijiverse. Wayward Warrior
Nehszriah recently got me incredibly hooked on a beauty of a manga, Vinland Saga. The story seems intelligent and developed, and it is clear that homework has been done. The only downside is that Vinland Saga is currently not available stateside. I've also just begun reading both Claymore and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Both look to be decidedly good works. Check 'em out! As for anime, I bought Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: Season One not too long ago. The story can be a bit confusing at times, but if you're willing to keep track of everything, it's worth a watch. Magus
Watching ======== Basilisk - IFC finally put this series back on. Last time I gave up on it because it started off a bit slow. I saw up to about episode 5 the last time, and it was still fairly slow. But after reading the manga I've regretted (sp?) doing so since it took so long for me to ever see it again.
I really wanted to see how Gennosuke's Dojutsu looks animated because, in the manga, it looked epic.
And the anime don't disappoint either. Now I just gotta see it dubbed. Gundam 00 (2nd season) - I've been following this on the Syfy channel, although I missed the last 2 episodes that came on this past Monday. So far this season hasn't nearly been as dynamic as the first season, but don't get me wrong though. I'm still enjoying it. By the time season 1 ended it had the potential to become my favorite anime (Topping Ghost in the Shell: SAC and I don't consider anything to be better than that... So that would be quite a feat.), but like I said, season 2's not really living up to what season 1's done for me. Some other shows I'm considering watching: Tales of the Abyss - I left off on episode 5 and been meaning to get back into it. Dragonball Kai - I'm cautiously considering returning to where I started, because now that I've been exposed to other series of it's kind I just don't know If I'm really able (or willing) to get back into this series, especially considering that there's way too much in the DB universe that I've grown out of, and can't stand. Hunter X Hunter - I've checked out the first 3 episodes about 3 months ago, and it was a bit too slow for me. But I've heard from others that it does pick up. Claymore - This is something that I've just been curious about. Reading ====== The typical One Piece, Bleach and Naruto combo. I still haven't found anything new to read outside of Fairy Tail, but like my post in the thread, I'm not going to read it as much as the others. Ryosuke Forever
I've started on Ranma 1/2 (it's the reason I haven't started Inuyasha yet). I like the fact that you can just sit down and watch it, plus it's pure comedy.

desertphoenix
Currently reading Gantz after finishing watching the anime. I didn't like how the anime ended, and I heard that the manga is ongoing. Behind all the sex and gore, I think there is something kind of interesting about the premise. And hey, I've just noticed that Gantz and the World Ends With You has a lot of similarities. :animesmil

Magus
Watching ======= Darker Than Black - FUNimation finally put something on demand that I want to see that doesn't cost to watch. However, I just recently finished watching the first 5 episodes, and while everything is pretty interesting, I'm pretty much lost at what's going on. What happened to the lady in the first two episodes?
Is that suppose to be her in episode 5, working with the cop lady?
What happened to the school girl?
Is her mother also working with the cop lady? Look like I saw the short haired lady in the school girl's flashback.
One Piece - I don't know whose behind the animation, but they've done quite the job in keeping me entertained considering that the character models are pretty crappy. I'm currently on ep. 342. I haven't looked at any of the fillers outside of when Ace was traveling with the Strawhats. And even then, I could only take so much. I'd really prefer to watch this dubbed (I heard a lot of great things about FUNi's dub), but oh well, I'm not really watching this for story, but more like to get a laugh in and watch some of the fights that I've read in black and white. TheResplendent
Reading Gantz and Claymore currently. Both animes left much to be desired after the end so it inspired me to read in further...
although...the way the last battle from the Claymore anime actually does end in the Manga is as anti-climactic, kind of a slight slap in the face.
Gantz is seriously a mature cesspool of everything you can imagine that can happen in a true M rated product, but often won't for the sake of being PC or toned down. Great for no holds barred reading, however it may surprise you toward the late chapters with some serious story development. Whether that's intentional or not (it will seem quite uncharacteristic at first, but then you come to appreciate it in the midst of all the indulgence), it adds a lot to the experience. Claymore blows me away with the impressive amount of diversity in their cast of characters, despite having to overcome the hurdle of having pretty much all your leading and supporting females look essentially the same with the exception of hair style. You can for the most part tell every one of them apart after a chapter or two being introduced to them. Personality is where the effort shines, making the cast actually seem as large as it is even with the potential trap of writing off a good amount of the characters because of their potential generic "place filler" appeal. The story is nowhere near original really, albeit done in a more interesting telling than most. Overall an enjoyable read, and you just find yourself surprisingly connecting with so many of the characters. I am currently watching Gilgamesh, I am up to episode 5. Not much to say about it so far other than the music seems very capable for setting the right moods.
dahill534
I just finished watching all 7 seasons and full length films of Ranma 1/2, just in time for spice and wolf season 2. S&W season 1 is still my favorite series, so I'm anxious to see what Lawrence and Horo are up to next.
