2010DigitalBoy
I'm assuming you mean DVDs? Because my collection is rather large to be listing, and it's not like all of them are complete (most aren't) I'm not going to list them here. There is a link in my sig to my collection, if you want to see it. Since you didn't provide much topic for discussion, I figure I'll fill in. I love buying DVDs, as they look pretty on my shelf. I have pride in my collection, and I just love staring at it in all it's awesomeness. I don't really buy DVDs just so I can see the shows/see them over and over, because I could easily wach most of it online, and because I rewatch things very rarely (the curse of photographic memory!) but still, I like having them. I get a thrill from buying them. And I've got little better to blow my money on. When it comes to buying DVDs, I always buy the artbox when possible. It's my collectors instinct. My motto is 'if theres a special edition, buy it.' Unfortuanetally, due to my habit of buying too many shows at once, I have very few boxes that are actuall full. I only buy thinpacks when it is A. a show I'm not sure about or B. so much cheaper I'd be a fool not to. And I don't care as much about the show. My favorite artbox is either Haruhi or Mushishi, and my favorite individual purchases are anything with a lot of episodes. I also love my Generator Gawl DVDs simply because of the story behind them - that being that I bought all 3 (of four) a year apart and always under 10 bucks having found them completely by chance.
Udon
I dont have much compared to others because I just usualy buy the manga (unless the manga is just terrible, I'll buy the dvd). I have FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and D.N.Angel (for some strange reason). Which are the completed series. For the uncompleted series I have: Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Moon Phase, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Air Gear, Samurai 7, and Haruhi (which will be completed, but currently un completed)
Panache
Yea we don't need a giant page stretching list from me. I usually buy boxsets or all the singles at once. I don't dabble I go all the way...basically.Some of my favorites are Kare Kano(although my copy is a bootleg copy it is still fairly high quality),Akira and Read or Die. Kare Kano is my favorite romance. It has that warm feeling about it and the character development is top notch. Akira is a classic. If you don't know about Akira then you must be very new to anime. It is a psychological action series...sorta. It's really hard to explain what it's like. All I know is that it is amazing. Read or Die is a story about three sisters and a famous author. It shows their life and their situations. It also reveals how they are connected. I will elaborate even more on this later...my eye is really ****** up right now so it's hard.

Aaryanna
Tenchi-sama, doing what you did, posting and only listing shows instead of taking the time to tell a bit about each one is considered spam. If not for other members like 2007DigitalBoy posting well and saving the thread I would be closing it right now. Remember, as it says in IMPORTANT: How to Post in Anime Lounge OtakuBoards emphasizes quality discussion in its threads. To meet the site's standards, make sure your posts are clear and have a point that adds to the conversation. And simply listing shows is not considered quality. I expect further posts to have more to them otherwise I really will close this thread. So lets try to do more than simply list shows here. I'll start. I actually don't have a lot of dvd's for the simple reason that I don't work, after all I'm still in High School and not even old enough to have my drivers license yet. XP So right now I only have all the dvd's to DNAngel, a fun story about a boy who turns into a phantom thief, Pretear, a Japanese version of snow white, only the main star has seven knights instead of dwarfs. And the last one I have is Fruits Basket. One of my favorites, it's simply a story about a girl who ends up living with a family who is cursed. My mom also likes anime so we have dvd's that are more shared, like Case Closed, this one is about a boy who's a detective so if you like mysteries you'd love it. I wish I could say we have all of it, but so far only about 100 of the 400+ episodes have been licensed to be released in America. Right now we probably have about the first 50 or so of the episodes along with one of the movies. The rest I either see on TV, though our cable service's on demand or two friends who loan me dvd's from their collection. Shameless borrowing works rather well actually. Oh and I do have fansub sites that I go to for stuff that's not out on dvd. That's where I watch shows like Lucky Star. It's amazing how funny a show about four girls in school can be. :catgirl:
r2vq
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ A number of people posted after Aaryanna completely disregarding the warning she had up. These posts had no discussion value and were merely long lists, some that weren't even of DVDs but of pirated or fansubbed Anime. Make sure to read Aaryanna's post above mine, or at least read the Sticky that tells you [thread=55649]how to post in Anime Lounge[/thread]. If it continues to degrade, this thread will be closed. Back on topic... I haven't been building my DVD collection for very long because I've only recently been able to earn my own money. Before that I was in a similar situation to Aaryanna, a student with no money, relying mostly on fansubs. I've since left my collection of avi and mkv files on whatever spools on my desk to pursue a quest of original DVDs and Graphic Novels. My collection, although rather small, is complimented by the slightly larger manga library I have... but I wont get into that here. I collect by the series. I buy DVDs from one Anime until I'm finished with it (either finish buying the series, or I give up on it) I move onto the next. The first set I collected is the Full Metal Alchemist series and movie. It was easily one of my favourite fansubbed series, and I believed that it deserved at least a couple of my paychecks. Collecting the DVDs individually was expensive, but definately worth the thrill of the hunt when I searched for deals and sales. -r2
Magus
I have whatever was shown on Cartoon Network. "echoes" I'm rarely ever in the mood to purchase anime dvd's these days even though I need to fill in the gaps to certain animes since I normally just tape most of them. Out of everything that has been shown on CN, I don't have; Sailor Moon, Trigun, Paronia (sp?) Agent, Blood+, One Piece, Yugioh, Pokemon, Outlaw Star, Ronin Warriors, BoBo, Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, Big O, Gundam Seed, Gundam Wing, and FLCL. So you can pretty much imagine what all I do have.
joshdude89
Well, I've never really got all that into buying full anime series, being a manga person myself. But I did get a few: (Also, I am bad at explaining stuff, so please bear with me) Evangelion: One of my favorite series, it is about 3 teens who pilot giant robots to stop giant monsters from destroying the world...sorta Excel Saga: A pretty funny anime, if you like the wacky out of this world comedies. It's about a secret organization "ACROSS" and their plans to conquer the world. Inuyasha: I never bought but a few episodes, but I bought all the movies. It's about a group of people who are trying to collect shards of the Shikon Jewel, while trying to defeat a demon named Naraku. Fullmetal Alchemist: About two brothers who perform alchemy to try and resurrect their mom. The ritual backfires and Al loses his body, while Ed loses his arm and leg. Ed then puts Al's soul into a suit of armor. The series is mainly about their quest to regain what they lost. Sakigake!! Cromartie High School: About a school of delinquents, and a new student who tries to get them to change their ways. The series mainly follows them around on random trips, and encounters, as they try to do stuff...its pretty random.
