[color=#9933ff][font=lucida calligraphy]I had to put my color enhancing gloss on my hair and leave it there for five minutes tonight. So that's the biggest part of my thread. Kind of. Actually it's just a discussion on hair. Which depending on the people could go either way.

Here are the basic questions

1.) Long or short

2.) Color

3.) Have you dyed it?

4.) If you have dyed it, what colors has it been?

5.) What length do you prefer on the opposite sex?

As for myself

1.) My hair's short. I got it cut a few weeks ago so it's longer in the front and shorter in the back. I think next month I'll make it a little shorter. I like it this way. It used to be past my shoulders, but then I'd try to roll over in bed and then pull on it, or it'd get caught in the car window. Long story there.

2.) Dark reddish violet... black. Well it was a dark black violet, but the color seal I have for it is for dark red, so now that's the color that it's turning.

3.) Well if two didn't answer your question, yes it's dyed. My natural hair color is a medium brown.

4.) I've dyed it various shades of red over the past ten years. I've also done hi-lights during my pregnancy. But the only problem with that is that it's VERY expensive. So I don't see myself doing it any time soon. YEs I know they have DIY kits, but I did that once and it ended up really funky looking with one large chunk of blonde near my forehead.

5.) On guys I like short hair. I don't know why, but that's just what I've gone for short haired clean shaven guys.

I have a mohawk (mohican sounds better), just to get that out of the way, and it rocks. But let's not get into any arguments about that before anyone starts.

It's actually a lot longer now, when it's down and to the side it goes in the middle of my ear and it's a really thick mohawk because then it stays up for days and days. Clever.

It's black and white. I kept a bit on the sides and bleached it white, black through the middle.

I dyed my hair tons of colours. Black, red, purple, brown, green, and blue.

Opposite sex? None, don't care about men. I don't really find them that appealing aha... but men with short hair kinda suck. If it's longish, then it's fine. Or skinheads. Skinheads are quite nice - so it's either skin head of long hair![/SIZE]

So far I have been wearing my hair in braids for seven years. It now comes to the bottom of my face when I take them out. I love it! Then comes picking my hair into an afro. On a good day, I can get it pretty thick and big like Huey Freeman. Other days, it just looks like I stuck my finger in a wall outlet.

I really like having long hair though my mom is starting to get tired of it. My dad is very supportive and just says my mom and my sisters are just jealous:animesmil. I don't know when I plan to cut my hair off and go back to going to the barber every two weeks. Before then I want to try a few things out. I want my hair spiked like Kenpachi Zaraki...... I could pull it off. I might need my hair straitened, a large amount of jell or egg-whites, some sticks to support it, but nothing is impossible right? I'm more likely to get dreads before I cut my hair. They're a little permanent, so I'm waiting till the time I want to cut my hair off to try them.[/FONT][/COLOR][/SIZE]

2) A shadow color. Shadow is a little bit lighter than black. It's a crayon color to be more precise. Crayola brand, if you have a set of the 96 crayons it should be in there.

3) Never,but if I d get it dyed, black. I have a pale complecion, so it wouldn't look ugly on me. One of my freinds dyed his hair black, and he has darker skin, looks like an idiot.

5) well, I prefer long-haried women, but only if it's a shorter long. huh? Yeah sounds odd I know, past the neck by just an inch does it for me. however, i don't like women wiht really REALLLLLLYYYYY long hair, it bugs me.[/COLOR]

Kind of in between actually. My hair isn't truly long, but it's not quite short either. Though most of the time it's short. I just need to go and get a haircut since it's been a while.

No. I've used temporary stuff that washes out for dressing up for things like Halloween. But I've never used something that was more permanent. I've just never seen the appeal to dying one's hair.

Well even though it wasn't a true dye I've had orange, blue, green, gray, etc. Just what ever worked for the costume I was wearing. And it wasn't even on for more than a day.

No preference really. I do like the look were it's somewhere between just past their shoulders to about half-way down their back. I like how it looks. But short is fine too. About the only thing I don't care for is the shaved look, it just looks odd on a woman.

Short. For many years I had waist length hair but it's just too difficult for me to take care of now. So now it's pretty short. I really like it this way. Easy to take care of and I don't go through shampoo like I did back when I had so much hair. Another bonus is that it never gets caught in the car door on a windy day.

Yes. Several times.

Since it's really dark I have to bleach it first. I've had it several shades of red highlights but the boldest would be pink and another time purple. Those were really heavy duty colors that I rarely do since they are so hard on my hair.

For most of my life I had my hair long to my butt or close. Recently I cut it to where it was a little longer than my chin. Now it is about past my shoulders. Most of my life I either had bangs or none. Right now I have sweep bangs that fall about my face. I am trying to grow my hair long again.

I have always loved having long hair, and it has never been easy. Honsetly, there are pretty much 0 good points to having long hair, but I would absolutely rather die than have short hair at this point. I've had my hair cut plenty of times in the past, though rarely without letting it grow really long first. Until I grew a moustache, I was constantly mistaken for a girl all my life. I've been teased relentlessly for it, and even now there are plenty of people who have a problem with it.

It's always being questioned. 'Why? How long? Do you wash it? how often do you brush it?' (cuz it used to be very poorly maintained >_>) i honestly have no good reason for having it. It's hot, it gets itchy, it's frizzy and the damn jew curls are hard to maintain. It's a pain to brush, blablabla... I still love it though. It's just... me.

Over the past 6 months or so I've come to really apprecate my long hair. That's because last winter break, in a period of immense apathy, I went a while without showering or brushing my hair and it became a hideous beast that had to get chopped off (in one cut!) and so since then, as it's regained it's legth (my hair grows extraordinarily fast) I've taken way better care of it.

When I was like 10 there was this concert I wanted to have spiked blue hair for. I cut my hair short and bleached it blonde so that I could blue it for that day. Looked bad *** for the concert - I got a lot of compliments. I got a lot of Aaron Carter jokes for it afterward, but it changed back soon enough.

Blonde. Well, last year, I wanted it to have blue streaks going through it. My mom dyed the streaks into my hair but they wouldn't show up since my hair is too dark. My hair bled blue in the shower for a month...

This is an exremely, extremely complicated question. Honestly, I could write an entire essay on my favorite hair types. I can't really pick a certain length as my absolute favorite, since there's so many conditions that alter the situation... likee I said, it's really complicated. I guess if I had to pick an absolute favorite, it would be shoulder-length hair with hairclips to keep them out of her face. But only if it's on the right girl... *doesn't want to get into it*[/COLOR]

Actually it varies, I go through phases where I like it short and phases where I like it long. I'm currently in a long phase since I've let it grow out, though it's only about four inches past my shoulders so it's not too long.

Blonde. Though now that I'm getting older it's literally changing colors on me. I've been getting lots of reddish brown hair mixed in with my normal blonde hair and I think it will be interesting if it all ends up like that since it is rather pretty.

Yes, I tend to bleach out in the sun during the summer and I like how it looks. So I've often in the past used something to maintain that summer look. Occasionally I've use something that gave it a bit of the reddish blonde look as well.

Blonde and a type of strawberry blonde. I've never done something totally different than what my hair does on it's own.

Almost shoulder length looks good. Though short is okay too. In the end there's just something appealing with a guy who has hair that's a little on the longer side. ^_^[/FONT][/COLOR]

Honestly, it depends on the person. Some people look better with long hair than short hair and vice-versa. There is no one hairstyle that works perfectly with every girl. I will say that redheads turn me on, fake or not.[/font][/size]

Well you see, I've yet to enter that so called boy crazy phase so I could care less what length a guys hair is. About the only thing I prefer is that he keeps it clean. I've got one class at school where I swear the guy never takes a bath and his hair is just nasty and greasy looking. That and he stinks. >_< If I ever do care about what length their hair is... 5) For guys, I love skater hair. With the long sidebangs and kind of long but not too long. I also like guys who have spiked hair just not all of it. I don't like guys with bowl cuts or shaved heads. I like to see at least 5in of hair on their heads. They also have to clean their hair too. I hate seeing guys whose hair is greasy or really disgusting looking. [/COLOR]

I've traditionally kept mine short, but in the past year have been encouraging it to grow- on the grounds that I only have maybe 3 more years before I start going seriously bald. It used to be kept under 1" length buzzcut style, but now it is already nearing shoulder length, and with the bangs being left uncut it sometimes gets in my eyes and annoys the crap out of me. Officially it is strawberry blond, though it changes in response to humidity, and normally will appear as a dirty blonde or bronze blonde. If I put enough gel in it to keep it moist I can make it look brunette for a few hours.

1.) My hair is short (above my shoulders) but it's currently in a straightened, angled bob shape. And it's very bouncy, I love it. <3 Up until about the fifth grade, I had hair that was down to my butt, I HATED it. One day, I told my mom I had had enough and we chopped precisely a foot off. I've never had it long ever since.

2.) Brown with the ends having fading highlights (I've basically cut them all out and let my natural color grow back in.)
