Guest sushisyndrome
Trigun After attending the Toronto comic/anime fan expo last weekend, and watching the draw off between Yusuhiro Nightow and Alvin Lee (BTW, Alvin's picture of Vash was absolutely incredible!!!!), it inspired me to draw this picture and to watch Trigun. Self Critique: The perspective in this drawing is all messed up. Also, there's a lot of light sources (he's outside though) which made determining the values complicated. Anyhow, I hope any Trigun fans out there can enjoy it. All rights reserved © 2007. SaiyanPrincessX
Ah Trigun, such awesomeness. Anyway, I love the coloring, its excellent! Although I must say the only big problem I see is with the head. Its just odd- not very Vash. The hair reminds me more of teen Gohan's in DBZ, except with more defined hair lines. Honestly, the Vash style I always found to be quite difficult, so I can't really give you any solid advice as how to fix the head, except practice. XD It is a great piece overall; the coat, and wall look great. I especially like the Wanted poster, nice touch.
Guest sushisyndrome
Hey SaiyanPricessX, Thanks for the helpful critique. I totally agree about the head... it's usually drawn taller in the anime series with more exagerated features (like eyes and eyebrows are bigger and the hair is more "geometric"). Also, he's usually drawn with wide shoulders and his tall body is emphasized. I'll keep practicing!
