Sign Up Death Note: Junior Detective Club!

Between gaining support within the Administrative Offices, the student body, the police, and the parents, Takanaka Ayame hardly had any time to decide where and when meetings would be held. Instead of deciding it on her own, she decided to put up dozens of handmade posters all over the school before the semester even started.

Of course, there were people there. The geniuses who took summer courses to get ahead of everyone else, getting good comments for their resumes for University. The slackers who couldn't get the credits they needed last year and were trying to make up for lost time. No matter who it was, they would bring something to the table, Ayame knew it.

The upperclassman girl bounded through the empty halls, sticking the enthusiastic posters wherever she could.

Her hopes were high for this; she'd been planning it since Junior High, when she had learned that it had not yet been established. She was appalled. [COLOR="Navy"]"What kind of high school doesn't have a Junior Detective Club?!"[/COLOR] Ayame exclaimed when she learned.

Ever since then, every moment of her free - free time at school, anyway - time was devoted to planning making one herself. And she had finally done it!

Careful not to cheer aloud, Ayame finished putting up the advertisements, and went home, grinning all the way.

Who knew? Perhaps that genius of a boy Yagami Light would join? And maybe they'd gain enough fame that L would take them serious!

[COLOR="Navy"]"Yeah, right,"[/COLOR] she scoffed, exiting the building.

How was she supposed to know that she was going to be right in one of those accounts? How was she supposed to know that her club was going to be thrust into such an important case so soon after starting? Who could tell her how loyal her friends would be? And who she would meet?

How was Ayame supposed to know about the Kira case? She was far too concerned about if she was going to eat ramen or cookies when she returned home. Perhaps she should bring something for her friends at the station?[/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT="Century Gothic"][SIZE="2"]Okay! So, that's the supposed back story! Basically, it starts exactly the same time as Death Note starts, when Light's in high school, and it begins as a few students join together to make a "Junior Detective Club". They're aspiring police officers and detectives, who, supported by the school and police force, are given very rookie jobs and a bit more authority than normal citizens. The Junior Detective Club is led by Takanaka Ayame.

Eventually, they're make their own "Kira Division" and soon the whole club focuses on Kira, much to Light's dismay, as it's his school.

Even after they graduate, they keep up their meetings, soon turning into a vigilante detective group, though they keep their name "Junior Detective Club" for the sake of less confusion.

After graduation, they eventually get sucked in to the real Kira case, learning things about Kira, L, and each other.

Of course, that's all eventually. For now, let's talk about sign-ups.

I'm thinking about 6 to 10 sign-ups. Anyone willing to play canon characters (including Light and L) is welcomed. Here's the sign-up:

[B]Occupation:[/B] She works part-time at her parent's grocery store when she's not busy.

[B]Personality:[/B] Cheerful most of the time, and sometimes a bit of an odd ball. She has a nasty habit of spacing out and thinking about what's going to happen five minutes from now, and often drifts into her own world while she's in the middle of saying something.
[B]Bio:[/B] Takanaka Ayame comes from a distant and hard to connect line of police officers and detectives. Naturally, she wanted to become one, and especially when she learned of L from her father. Impressed and astounded by his record, and enthralled by his mystery, she wanted to grow up to be just like him.

Years later, she remains similar. Ayame studies hard and visits the police station often, even before she had the idea of the Junior Detective Club. Since she was so young, most people ignored her, but there were a few who didn't mind her presence, and even asked her opinion on things.

Ayame is admittedly very bad at reading and writing, and prefers to keep away from math, though she is very good at it. Her pastime is drawing and 70s American detective movies and the like.
[B]Additional Info:[/B] Ayame is easily snuck up on, and sometimes very spastic. Hates pigtails and loves fuzzy socks. Her favorite celebrity is Amane Misa.[/SIZE][/FONT]

It will be most interesting I think, because while I can play a perfect Light, or even L for the matter- I think at the same level they do. I would rather go as my own chara. If nobody else thinks they can handle Light or L I'll do it, but I would rather not. Two characters of that nature at once might be a bit much, you would see them ending up allied and thinking the same way all the time.

Name: Odin "M" Renegade (Officially he is called Odin, but a lot of his classmates call him M since he seems like L at times.)
Age: 17
Class: 3A
Occupation: Stage Crew for Misa Amane, working part time.
Appearance: innocent enough and quite typical for a nerdy teenager- a colored t-shirt and blue jeans, 5'7" 140 lbs, blonde hair pale blue eyes. He has a rather fine and small build, don't let his looks fool you while he doesn't look muscular there's strength in there.

Personality: Very calculating and analytical at times, he would match wits against Light almost constantly, but due to a few flaws like laziness really didn't have the grades to be expected of someone with his intelligence. Also his personality changes with his mood, when happy he will be a lot more relaxed, while still basing on logic and calculated risk, when angry he becomes cruel and calculating, not afraid to make a sacrafice for a cause.

Bio: Innocent enough for a teenager of significant ability, unlike most of his classmates he never took an interest in girls or any normal matters. You could usually see him with a textbook or a piece of paper and ruler, as he studied on his own and designed different inventions, taking the job at the studio as one of Misa's assistants a year ago when the previous man resigned. Little is known about his home life, the only person who he could really make a conversation with is Light, and even Light tended to ignore him because he wasn't interested in debating einstein's laws of relativity or if you could make an airplane with a weight of 500 kilos that could carry 350 kilos of cargo. Unknown even to Light though, he had an interest in crime fighting and preserving justice, but could not get involved directly due to constraints of his lifestyle and lack of interest in maintaining chain of command.

Additional Info: Light is really going to have his work cut out for him, fortunately Odin won't be much of a threat because he has no access to the official Kira case, and can only speculate and predict based on media coverage. Using that alone however, he has determined a dangerous amount of information about Light and Misa, but dares not say so to anyone lest Light kill him. Also, in class he sits in the seat right next to Light, the two do match wits regularly in mock mental warfare.

[b]Personality[/b] Mika appears to be aloof and sometimes apathetic. But she is far from that.
She his hard to reach sometimes, being withdrawn from normal behavior. She doesn't always understand how 'normal' people act and has a low self-esteem. She is withdrawn and quiet most of the time with her own . . . Flair that she brings with her.
Easily distracted, she questions most everything and everyone.
She has Low Latent Inhibition and with his IQ, he is a creative genius.
[b]Bio[/b] Mika had ended up skipping a few grades as she was growing up which made her parents very proud of her. But at the same time it put a strain on her parents and not that long ago, they divorced. They had been fighting for a long time before the decided to divorce, and most of their fights where about her, which made her self-esteem fall like the Niagara Falls.
She hasn't ever really made friends mostly because most of the kids had always been slightly scared of her (in first grade they claimed she was an alien) and was usually tormented by her peers.
But as she got older, she realized that she is more important than her parents and peers ever made her feel and she has been learning how to fix her self-esteem (even though it's still rather low).
[b]Additonal Info[/b] Mika could be called 'strange'. She is always found wearing at least three watches and if she has to wear socks - they are always mismatched.

[B]Occupation:[/B] part time waiter at one of the restaurants his father owns.

He is about 6' and has dirty blond hair with brown eyes, he has a couple tattoos scattered over his body and he has accumulated a number of piercings including his eyebrow, lip, tongue, and has both his ears gaged.

[B]Personality:[/B] Chas is a stereotypical British punk, he has knack for turning simple arguments into major fistfights. Other than being slightly temperamental he is actually a pretty happy guy. He likes to mess with people often tricking them or cracking jokes on them. He is suspended from school frequently for disrupting class and starting fights.

[B]Bio:[/B] Chas was born in the UK and at the age of two his father moved them to japan for other business opportunities. His mother died a year later from cancer leaving Chas's father to raise him alone. When he turned thirteen his dad married another woman and Chas became distant from his father. He started to act out in school and start fights.

Chas earned himself a bad rep in his school and he has stories told about him being a criminal, robbing stores and mugging kids but this couldn't be farther from the truth. Chas has always had an interest in law enforcement and criminal investigation since he was a kid. Chas doesn't correct people on these rumors.

When Chas turned 17 he got all his piercings, after seeing this his father gave him a choice of moving out or getting rid of the piercings, needless to say Chas moved out. He only really sees his dad at work where he is his boss, but oddly enough their relationship has improved since Chas moved out. Chas has only a few friends most of which he only knows because he work with them at his father's restaurant.

[B]Additional Info:[/B] Chas has a love for Japanese metal, his favorite bands are: Dir en grey, Girugamesh, and MUCC. He carries a zippo lighter for no other reason than that when he thinks he likes to flip the lid open and closed lighting it and extinguishing it repeatedly.

This sounds actually pretty tight. Havn't seen a Death Note RP in a while. So if you guys don't mind I'll try a sign up as Light. And if that doesn't work I'll try for an non-canon. Of course if that's alright.

[b]Bio:[/b] Light was born on February 28, 1986. At age three Light's sister Sayu was born. Like any other kid, Light Yagami went through elementary school.

He made his way through Middle School with grades that were very excellent. he entered High School, and like the rest of his other school years he kind of avoided people and focused on his grades. Now, he's a third year student at Daikoku School.

Sitting in class one day, he realizes just how bored he is. Until he spies a notebook on the floor outside the window. It caught his eye, why would a notebook just be lieing there. He had to go see who's it was. After school he proceeds to pick it up. The Death Note.

(Hope I didn't go to far into Death Note's present time with the bio. Not much is known about Light's past either. Hope its enough x.x)

Name: Sue Momishin
Age: 17
Class: 3-A
Occupation: Works at Misa's studio part time after school.

Appearance: Sue likes to wear rather dark clothing since she isnt a big fan of bright clothing. She usually wears a black T-shirt and navy-blue cargo pants. Her hair is a chocolate brown colour and so are her eyes. Her hair is usually brushed but it gets in her face alot because she doesnt really like to be seen. She is a rather cute girl, but doesn't like to be seen.

Personality: Sue is a shy girl, likes to be by herself most of the time because of her shyness. She loves drawing and being artistic. When people ask her questions or talk to her she usually says very little because she isn't used to talk to people. Most of the time she looks rather depressed with a sad look in her eyes if you can see through the hair that goes over her eyes.

Bio: At a young age Sue's parents had died in a car accident, or so she has been told. For years she has been changing home's since everyone she has ever gotten close to has either died naturally or horrifically. A few months ago she got hired at Misa's studio to assist them, she mostly transfers things around the studio so she does alot of running around. She doesn't have any friends because she doesn't socialize and likes to be by her lonesome. She loves to read books aswell as write her own books, infact she had published her own book about a year ago called 'The Cursed' about cursed boy which turns out tragic. After going through many horrible experiences the boy dies a horrible death. Her book had hit best sellers list for a while.

Additional Info: Sue's book, 'The Cursed' had made millions of dollars, but she doesnt look rich. Infact, she looks rather poor no one really knows why she doesnt spend it some people just figure she's saving it. Also Sue loves to eat chocolate pancakes, they make her go absoletly crazy over them.

Dang, I was going to be L so that I could make sure he stayed true to character. Oh well, Momishin does know what she is doing and I can always help her if she wants.
