Welcome to the site. I've moved your thread to the Art Studio since it deals with an art program. To answer your question I use Photoshop to make wallpapers. I'm sure there are plenty of other programs used by the wallpaper artist here on the site and I'm sure they will be by to share their knowledge with you.

The website even has lots of tutorials to help you get use to using the program. Another one is Adobe Photoshop though depending on which one you get, it can be quite expensive. Just go to Adobe's website to check out what they have to offer.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Yeah the most popular one's too use for making wallpapers are usually Adobe Photohop [7-CS3] or Paint Shop Pro. I would highly suggest GIMP if you're a beginner or have never made a wallpaper before. Gimp is very similar to Photoshop but Photoshop has many more confusing functions. Most people would rather not pay for Photoshop though, since it costs $300+ for the newer versions. Although some people somehow manage to not pay...[hmm....>.>] But you can always download the free trials of photoshop.
