Japan
Hooray! Otakuboards is back and running. It was down for a time and now is back. So let's talk about how we are addicted to this place and are in denile when it is not around... Actually, how we are addicted to other sites which may include this one. We all have our stomping grounds on the net. On Otakuboards we all seem to have our moments of complaining and getting annoyed, (I blame PMS, but all girls seem to abuse this) but we always come back. The oldies always come back, curious about what is going on. I was in a bad mood today when I could not log on this morning. This also happens to one other site/thing. I love achaea. It is my favorite game on the net and when the game server is down I get all cranky and sad. I hate it especially when I am leveling my character and I get disconnected all of a sudden. I freak out about whether or not my character is going to die or what. So what games and internet sites do you need a daily fix of or you will go crazy?
Odin M Yggdrasi
Well, after finally quitting the last forum I had been chilling at whenever I had spare time this place is it. There are other forums I am active on, but this is the first one I check. I didn't realize this was down earlier, been out working all day. Unfortunately if I want to have any chance at making an upcoming anime convention I have to actually work for the money to go there.
Aberinkula
Well, OB is like my Bastard son. I've been missing it grow for a few years, but when I joined, I loved it. I wasn't liked when I was GUNmanZERO7, but when I became Ålpha-Æpsilon, I matured within minutes. Now I've made some freinds on OB. My first was DigitalBoy, who is still my friend now. I was also friends with Tekkaman and Keyblade Wielder, who have dissapeared recently. I've made an impact on OB, admit it. :p I've also started to befriend other members, who I respect as much as I respect my friends at home. SunfallE is a good person who I look up to, Allamorph makes fun of me, but I enjoy his presecence
I think he stalks me... :(
, and Indiff is a face that I respect as well who is just plain old fun to RP with. OB is the first site I always check, and when my comp won't let me see this site, I go mad. Me lovee da Otakeeboardee. I also go to Megatokyo sometimes, DB got me into it, and I used to be on Gaia which is a dump for idiots pervs, and sexually confused teens. >_<
Rachmaninoff
OtakuBoards and theOtaku and myOtaku are the main sites that I visit. There are a few others, but I tend to visit OtakuBoards the most. I'm not big into the Internet and going to lots of forums, gaming sites, etc. Most if not all of the ones I tried to join, I was there less than a month before I moved on. This site holds my interest better than any other place does. Probably because it's got so many different aspects to it so I like coming here. As for the site being down... I guess I must have missed that. It was working when I checked it early this morning and again when I logged in just now. It is running a little slowly though, more than usual. eleanor
Facebook. The end. lol It's sort of addicting when you first get it, but I've mellowed out since then. Even so, it's the first place I visit when I get on the computer.
James
There are only a few sites that I visit regularly. OB is one, obviously. Also, I regularly visit GamesIndustry.biz and Engadget. Other than that, I only visit some other sites now and then. Mostly I don't have a whole lot of time to spend on the web, so I try to spend most of my time here or reading various news sites. Boo
When I pop up an explorer, the first thing I do is open OtakuBoards. Not because I can't live without OtakuBoards, but mainly because it's become a habit. When OtakuBoards is down, I'm not bothered and I just go on and check my email before continuing with other things, but... 'o' and 't' are probably the most used keys on my keyboard. Just because, as a habit, I check this site every 10 minutes when I'm on FireFox or IE. For the rest I don't have much things that I check often. My e-mail and certain news sites to stay up-to-date. I don't like Facebook and don't ever check it, don't use my LiveJournal, only check mySpace every 3 days for a minute or so (mainly to listen to music) and am not active on any other forums. ... Wow! Yay, I have a life! Never realized it. :)
Aaryanna_Mom
I can safely say that OtakuBoards is the only place I visit online, other than e-mail. For the most part I don't hang out online all that much, I usually check here once a day, but not always. I hadn't even realized that the site was down the other day since it was working when I was logged in the other day. Anyway, I enjoy this place so I intend to keep visiting for some time to come. It's certainly lots of fun. :catgirl:
John
As far as online games are concerned, I've been playing Tremulous for something like a year and a half now, and just about a week ago I started playing Savage; I think I'll stick with that one, too, assuming the learning curve doesn't kill me. Both are free, if anyone is interested. The forum I post the most at is the Tremulous one, which is kinda painful to say because the community there is almost horrid. I can't figure out why I stick around, but I'm assuming it's either to keep up with the latest game news or keep my self-esteem at a maximum. Then there's OB, which I lurk around at least once a day, but usually don't find anything worth posting about. And finally, Group Sounds, which I still visit about once a day even though it's broken lol.
Gavin
Outside of OB, I generally visit Filefront to have a look at the latest Knights of the Old Republic mods to have come out. Flipside, a web comic I'm after getting into gets a visit a few times a week, just to check out the new pages of the story, it's a good series and I'd advise anyone to check it out. Wiki and Wookiepedia are two others I check out probably once a day, usually just to learn something new and pointless, it's a fun thing to do. :animesmil

I used to frequent these forums like it was my life. :catgirl: Holy cow I just realized I'm still in the top 25 post count. How is that possible? Anyway, I go to another forum called Fusion-Central. Aside from that it's just instant messaging and a game called Utopia. Oh and I can't forget the nicotines, facebook and myspace. Aaryanna
I don't have any online gaming sites that I visit, well other than some official sites to see what's coming out. As for other sites, obviously I come here every day, though I usually check my e-mail first. Then I sort of wander around and check out theOtaku and the fansub sites that I frequent. Overall, I spend most of my time here since once I'm done I usually log off and go read, play games or do something else. Something I'll probably be doing shortly since I got a new book the other day and I haven't started reading it yet.
Vicky
Myspace. I don't go there to post up new pictures, comment people or even talk to anyone, I go there for the drama. There's so many arguments over bulletins it's just funny. And then you have the half of my friends who come on myspace - drunk - and post this random crap. I'm sorry, but I can't go a day without smirking at myspace. And I bet you all look a lot fitter on your myspace page then you do in real life =p I do go on Facebook often, though it doesn't work too good for me. Otakuboards and myspace are the two I visit mostly, OB being my homepage because it loads easiest. Down the ladder I go on my friend's site, RebellionLive, whenever I can, which is pretty fun. Normally AnimeHQ would be up here somewhere ('cause it's the coolest place I was ever a mod), but it disappeared. I think there's one or two members here who know what I'm talking about. Now that used to be my stomping ground.
2010DigitalBoy
I think the one I'm at the most is Megatokyo. I hang out in the forums. At first, I was in the story forums (waaay back) since MT was my favorite comic at the time. However, thanks to the forum turning me into an anime fan, I mostly hang out in their anime/manga forum. Unlike OB, it's full of people who are like me (and a lot who are on a much higher level) so it's a great contrast to this site. OB is my second biggest ground because I've been here so long. Lately I only come here to pass time when I'm bored because I'm an anime fan and this isn't much of an anime site, sadly. My homepage and common check-up spot is Danny Choo. It's a community for Otaku to share their otaku musings, as well as Danny Choo's "blog" (though it far transcends being called that) it's basically the ultimate paradise for American otaku. I don't go there as much, but there's also Heisei Democracy. Being that I have a blog, it probably counts as a stomping ground, and there's also the blogs I check up on. These including The blog for the webcomic Mistakes of Youth, BigN's "Drastic My Anime Blog", Jeff Lawson's "Hop Step Jump", Omoikane's "Omonomono", roast-beefy-weefs "So Meaty" (I convinced him to make it), eponymous "The Last Arial", and Shiro's "Towards Our Memories" (they are, all but 1, MT members) Ever since I've gotten into DLing, I have to have TokyoTosho constantly ready as well as the less-used Nyaatorrents and DAtorrents. While they aren't hangouts or anything, I use Wikipedia, Anime News Network, and Photobucket pretty frequently. I even update Wikipedia (I officially made an article the other day!) Recently I've been using MangaUpdates a LOT because of my new scanslation addiction. I used to use Veoh and Crunchyroll a lot, but since I discovered DLing, theres no need.
Claire
I don't really have a lot of favorite websites, because I can usually be perfectly entertained talking to my friends over AIM. I do come here, obviously, several times a day, just to do my job and see if anything interesting is happening. Whenever a dramatic thread pops up I usually stay here and refresh the page constantly, xD. I also go to the AFI Message Board pretty much every day, but I don't post there very often. Then there's myspace, which very rarely offers any entertainment because I don't get a lot of comments. I probably do a survey almost every day, though, just out of boredom. I try to update my Livejournal every single day, as well as read those of my friends. Sometimes I'll poke around Natalie Dee, XKCD, and Youtube.
SunfallE
Well when it comes to gaming, I don't really have any sites, I just check around from time to time, just to see what's up as far as new games go. And I don't play any games online other than to occasionally do the multi-player mode with friends for Diablo II. I tend to start with both theOtaku and OtakuBoards, I've got my browser set so those two sites load automatically. I usually check them first since I have moderation duties at both sites, though theOtaku gets priority over OB since I do more over there, especially since I do the updates for the quizzes over at theOtaku. XP I of course check my e-mail as well, though that's a given since I'll sign into MSN because most of my online friends use it. After that I tend to spend time browsing Deviant Art and every now and then updating my site there, along with my photobucket account and my AnimePaper account. The only thing I do at AnimePaper is upload scans and check the wallpapers since I'm forever removing wallpapers at theO that were ripped from that site. lol Then I have a variety of things that I also do, like watching fansubs, checking out youtube for weird stuff and so on. In the end, theOtaku and OtakuBoards get the bulk of my time with the moderation stuff and the RPG's I'm in and running as well. ^_^

Horendithas
School keeps me too busy to have much in the way of sites that I visit. OB is the main one after the fansub sites that I like to frequent. I do sign in over at theOtaku a few times a week as well. I do wander around on the net, but I've yet to find many places that I stick around at.
TimeChaser
I tend to spend a lot of time hanging around (or at least monitoring) the Anime Pulse forums - makes sense though, since I am a moderator there. TheOtaku.com, of course. I'll probably be coming around here to the OtakuBoards more often now (haven't been here in months). Fanfiction.net is about the only other place I spend a great deal of time.
