Sojiro47
You know what makes me feel old? I remember the original Power Rangers. That's right, The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers!!! I remember when the DreamCast was ahead of it's time, and when everyone thought the N64 was the best thing since, well, fried rice. On top of all that, I'm an assistant Karate instructor at my Dojo, and 80% of my students are a little more than half my age. Plus, a friend of mine recently became engaged. To make my position worse, I'm a senior in high school looking for collages.
Japan
Seeing current high school students come to where I work to eat makes me feel old. Coming here makes me feel old. Being an aunt to my 9 month old nephew makes me feel old. Playing games like pokemon and realizing it is the same game I played when I was 12 or younger. Odin M Yggdrasi
Trying to explain to the scouts in the troop I was once in that the scout camps of today are hotels compared to what the camps used to be like. To be honest I liked the old-style better. You really knew you were camping. No hot showers, the toilet is a large concrete pit with a shed over it, and most of the tents were more duct tape than canvas. Good Times... Good times. Riku
Seeing that celebrities and use-to-be icons such as Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears go to rehab over and over, sinking to a new low is the norm ever single ****ing day. That makes me feel old, not like they were my icons or anything.
Rachmaninoff
Another thing that makes me feel old is winter. We had our first snowstorm, or rather storm where we actually got snow in the valley last night and instead of feeling excited over it like I use to as a kid, I'm sighing over the loss of the warmer weather. I've gotten where I hate the colder weather, well other than for a few activities that is. But other than skiing, the other stuff doesn't require cold weather or snow. Maully
My oldest Nephew will be 10 in a few months. That makes me feel old. I also feel really old when I talk about tv shows from when I was kid, Like Gem and the Holograms or Land of the lost or Smurfs, and kids and teen say, "I've seen that in YouTube." if it weren't for that, they wouldn't know what I was talking about. Crazy Kids, heh. I laughed til I wept a few weeks ago. I went to the State Fair here and it was the day the marching bands were invited to perform. I looked at the high school kids and marveled at how young they look. I wondered if I looked 15 when I was 15. The absurdity of the thought was just beyond me. LazLong
Hmmmm ... I still hate when people call me "sir". I bought the Robotech collectors edition boxed set and I realized I was just getting into that in the mid-80s ... about 20+ yrs ago ... Yikes. You know you're old when you thank the sales clerks for asking for your ID when you buy beer :) That always makes my day. Laz
