Mirai Nikki is a psychological action manga that is none short on the CRAZY. The main character doesn't get along well with others, and is obsessed with chronicling his life through a diary on his cellphone. At home, he enjoys playing darts to predict his day, and in his room he curls up in a blanket and talks to his imaginations. (also, his mom is never around)

One of his imaginations is a giant being known as Deus ex Machina who is the master of time and space. The other is his little girl assistant. Deus loves to think of crazy games to play with human life and decides to throw our main character into one.

On another note, there seems to be a spree of brutal killings going around near his school.

When he wakes up, the main character finds that his cellphone diary now tells him his future. Using these predictions, he finds he can alter his future and even use it to get test answers. (However, if the phone is to break, he will die). For a while he's really enjoying how this has enhanced his life. However things get trippy when he finds out that the girl who's basically the school idol is stalking him. His phone tells him that he is caught by the killer and murdered. Freaking out, he runs from the school with the girl hot on his heels.

Some stuff happens, and basically it turns out that the crazy girl is in love with him and that her cell phone tells her his future 10 minutes in advanced. She points out that the killer is another man who is tailing them that also has a phone that tells the future. There are a number of people with these phones and whoever is the last one standing will become the new Deus ex Machina.

And when people's phones are broken THEY IMPLODE.

So, Mirai Nikki is totally awesome. They had me at Deus ex Machina and didn't let go throughout the first chapter. The amount of mental WTF is simply perfect.
