The world was still and the morning light had just raised over the Haindru mountains and flooded Sterling Valley giving off a warm and comforting glow. Her eyes opened slowly and her chest felt heavy. Her fuzzy vision began to clear and she realized that something was lying on her chest. It looked very feathery.

She tried to move but this object was much heavier than she thought. Struggling slightly she flipped on to her side dumping the creature to the ground. It ruffled its feathers and curled into a ball making a strange growling noise.

Standing up she realized she was no longer in the garden of her former home. Far from it. She seemed to be in the middle of the country somewhere with a huge feathery creature by her feet. Her first reaction was to panic.

"What happened? Those voices... what was all that?" And many questions flooded her mind faster than she could ever imagine possible.

The feather creature stirred and almost sighed. Lifting its head Rain realized she had never seen a creature like it before. Its long slender body was covered with feathers and no legs or arms, just two large feathery wings. It had an almost birdlike beak and large eyes with one solid color. It floated off the ground and stopped a few feet from her.

Calm down my lady please so many thoughts can cause headaches. Its voice, male sounding, rang through her mind. Not her ears but her very mind.

"Oh my god! What are you!?" She screamed. Overwhelmed by the severity of her situation.

I am a... He then said a word she couldn?t think of even pronouncing or spelling if she had paper and a pen. The fact this thing was talking in her mind was enough to make her think she was crazy.

You my dear are not crazy but we do need something for you to call me since I will be with you for a while. He floated there not moving a feather. He floated there elegantly and nodded his head as if to again reassure her silently that she was just fine.

Ok if you?re really reading my mind then here we go. I think I got the first part of your species name so I will call you that. Zeek sounds kinda weird but it will do. She said in her mind only. So where am I, Who are you, and why are you going to be with me?

He blinked, well my dear it is complicated. You are, well you see... Ok I am here to protect you. Last night you were sucked here by a summoning ritual preformed by those would seek to harm you. I want to prevent that at all costs. I am your protector. Zeek is just fine but very off from normal pronunciation. Anyways as for where you are my lady. Do not freak out but you have been brought back way into the past. Nothing looks the same but you are standing in the same place you were standing last night, just several thousand years in the past.

Her mouth dropped open. She did what he said and kept herself from doing what she wanted to. Freak out. So uh, the past you said if that is possible why do they want me back here? She asked calmly even though she wanted to scream.

You have abilities they want, you are no normal mortal but you might not believe this for now. I know someone you should meet in the nearby village; she can help you figure out what is really going on. You just have to trust me.

"Fine then. I will trust you even though I have no idea why I feel like I can. You look like you could peck out my eyeballs and eat them for dinner." Tired of the mind speak. As it was causing her to feel dizzy, she spoke aloud.

Trust me I could but I never would. Humans don?t taste good to me.
The look on her face changed instantly and she heard him laugh in her mind.

I am kidding. I do not eat those that I serve. I serve the race of man. I eat small critters and bugs. We should head towards the village soon. I sense they are getting closer.

"Who?"

A group of... Wow that is small.

"What?"

Only three of them. They must be just scouting ahead to make sure you arrived safely.

"Uh you said they wanted to harm me right? If they are close how am I going to protect myself?"

When the time comes you will be able to figure that out on your own. Until then like I said, just trust me.

"Well hello little missy. Turns out you did arrive in perfect shape. Now come quietly. We won?t hurt ya, much." A man said stepping out into the clearing. He had green eyes and no hair on his head.

The man that followed had a scar across his face that looked much like a burn. "We need you in one piece but that don?t mean nothing."

A younger man stepped out fresh shaven, nicely cut hair that was dusty blonde, and silvery grey eyes, "Course we can do what we want with you on the way there, just so long as you?re whole and complete physically when we return."

The three men laughed. Rain thought that the last guy was kind of attractive, or at least he would have been if he hadn?t just implied some very nasty things and intended to deliver her to those who wished to hurt her. She kicked herself for even thinking the slightest thing about it and Zeek reminded her to stay calm.

"What do you mean calm!?" She screamed at the creature.

"Look here Gar, she thinks she can talk to animals, maybe she is wonko. Why would the boss want a nut?"

"Who cares it is not our concern. Get her and hurry up with it." The bald man commanded the scarred man to do the work. The young guy just stood and watched. Slight amusement crept across his face.

"NO!" She shouted.

Stand back! Zeek got in between her and the three men and opened his beak. A jet of flames erupted from his mouth and engulfed the scarred man. The bald man jumped out of the way just in time.

Two voices screamed out. First the man as he burnt to a crisp and Rain as this horrible scene burned into her memory and the sound of his voice ripped her nerves to shreds.

The bald man stepped forward and over the burnt carcass of his partner and pulled out a long simple sword. "No, that won?t be needed fluffy.? She slashed through the air quickly but Zeek moved. This left Rain open and the man moved in to wound her. Zeek swooped in just as he slashed and Rain was splattered by the creature?s blood as it fell to the ground.

That is enough! Zeek shouted to his own mind. A bubble appeared around the man?s head and filled with water. No many how many times he slapped at it and pulled his hands went right through the water. After a bit the man jerked and fell to the ground still struggling. A little more and he jerked a final time before lying lifelessly on the ground.

"Very good. The guardian had better be strong or this would not be an entertaining chase." The young man said with a smile. With that he leapt into the shadows and vanished.

Rain fell to her knees where Zeek was now laying on the ground bleeding profusely. She ignored the men?s bodies and stared at her protector. "Oh no..." She cried to herself. She placed a hand on his cut and closed her eyes. What had she caused? This was her fault. They wanted her and now this creature fought to keep her away from them but at the risk of losing its own life.

Child, do not weep. I am fine now. Your tears are soaking my feathers.

She looked up and his wound was completely healed and his large eyes stared up at her. "But..."

I have a slight ability to heal myself, that coupled with your own healing abilities it quickened the process.

"What powers? I couldn?t heal anything..." Just about that moment she felt extremely lightheaded, "On second thought... We can discuss this after my nap." And she passed out.

Well this complicates things.

Milo walked out from the forest wilderness, and followed the smell of a good fire and food. She was coming close to a town and she smiled. Her white hair bounced in the sun as she quickened her pace. Licking her lips, she decided to find the nearest tavern and take it easy for a little while. All of this traveling was starting to get to her. There was an old sign that seemed to need replacing as she entered the town. It bore one word.

Korina

The name was new to her, so she just shrugged. It meant a warm meal and a warm bed at least. She stopped though. Most taverns she had been to did not have some kind of wash tub and she wanted to freshen up. She looked around for the familiar sign of the town's barber. She soon found it and entered. A bald man with a large mustache greeted her.
"Welcome, lass. I am Korbin the barber. How may I help ye?" He asked with a slight bow.
The lack of hair on his head was unsettling. Still, Milo decided to tell him what she wanted. She dropped her skirt to the ground, then she took off her jacket as well. She wasn't sure why she got rid of her jacket also. Maybe to make sure he knew that she was a girl, or maybe just because it was too hot out today. She pointed to the tuft of hair down below.
"I would like a shave please. And if I bleed, then ye bleed. Do you understand?"
Korbin looked a little nervous. Then he looked to the side and called for someone named Ariel. Soon a young girl around Milo's age came down the stairs.
"Yes father, what is it?"
Korbin smiled at this girl who by her resemblance was obviously his daughter by blood and not adoption. However, she was very beautiful with long brown hair so she must have taken most of her looks from her mother.
"This lass would like a shave. Take care of it, if ye please."

Ariel had Milo sit down in an empty chair. She looked at the hair for a moment and brushed it with her hand.
"It is such a pretty color, are ye sure ye do not want a trim?" Ariel asked, smiling at Milo.
Milo shook her head.
"Maybe another time, just a shave for today please."
Ariel nodded and got to work. Soon, she finished and held up a mirror to the now hairless area for Milo to see.
"A job well done. Thank ye, Ariel. But do ye know where I can get a bath?" She asked.
"Of course. For a copper more, I can bathe you upstairs." She said with a nod and a smile.
Milo agreed and grabbed her clothes. Not bothering to put them on, she followed Ariel upstairs.
"So do ye live around here? If ye do, I have not been aware somehow." She said as she brushed a soapy hand across Milo's body.
"No, I just came 'ere today actually. 'ave ye lived 'ere all your life?"
"Yes, yes I have. Now let me dry ye off and I will brush ye hair." She said.
Milo stepped out of the tub and stood still as Ariel dried her from top to bottom. However, when their faces came together she leaned forward and gave her a quick kiss. They both blushed and didn't say a word about this as Ariel started to brush Milo's hair.
"Ye know, I was going to ask where you're staying but I think since we're in my room it will be more convient." Ariel said as she finished with Milo's hair. Before she could ask what Ariel meant by that, she heard the rustle of clothes falling to the floor. Milo turned around and Ariel kissed her. She then broke the kiss and gently kissed her way down Milo's body, stopping at her breasts for a moment and then tracing the arrow of her tattoo with her lips and down to where the arrow pointed.
"Tell me, what does your tattoo mean?" Ariel asked.
Milo shook her head.
"It is nothing personal, but that is for but one man to know. I am sorry."
Ariel just smiled.
"T'is quite alright."
Ariel continued kissing Milo's crotch. After a few minutes, Milo had her stand up and she returned the favor.
"If only I 'ad breasts like ye." Milo said as she fondled them, while kissing at Ariel's crotch.
"They are nothing special." She replied, blushing.
Soon she had Ariel in bed where they finished with their pleasure.

Exiting the shop and waving goodbye to Korbin and Ariel, Milo set off to find a tavern. It didn't take her long though. She soon stood in front of Dulzan's tavern.
"I should be able to find a good drink and meal 'ere." She smiled, not realizing the strange people she was soon to meet.

Virgil stumbled out of the forest around what seemed to be noon. Though he wasn't certain. It had been three days since he had been through any towns. He had been chasing a pack of bandits trhough the woods, but had lost them a day earlier. Since he had arrived at this small town and it was obviously not in ruin, it meant they probably didn't come this way. So, instead of taking back to the forest to continue on with a cold pursuit, he decided to simply stay the night in this quiet little burg.

Both him and his rather formal clothes were filthy. He was in desperate need of a room and a good cleaner for his clothing. He marched into the town, his sword clutched tightly in his left hand. The eyes of the towns people were turning to him as he walked through the open streets. He continued, undistracted by the endless stares, til he came upon a small shop with a rather decrepit looking sign that read "Milligan's Cleaner". Virgil walked through the door and was greeted by a round man with a rather unkempt appearance "Welcome sir. How might I be helpin you today?"

He seemed polite, but his appearance left much room for doubt in whether or not he could ge the job done, but it was the best he could do. Virgil addressed the man "I need my clothes cleaned and treated. I'll also be needing a change of clothes til you finish with those."

The man nodded with a large smile across his face "Sure can do there, sir." The man then knelled down behind the desk. When he stood back up he set down a black robe and a set of rather worn looking work pants "I'm afraid this is all I have in the way of extra clothes. They may not look like much, but I promise 'ya there plenty comfortable."

Virgil sighed and nodded. He went to a back room to change into the drab attire he had been given and left his dirty clothes in a hamper. The man behind the desk said they'd be ready by tomorrow morning. Not left with much choice, Virgil nodded and made his way back out into the streets. One good thing about the change in clothes, he was getting alot less stares now. Dressing like a nobel was bound to draw attention.

Now came the problem of taking care of himself now that his clothes were being treated. This town had to have a tavern or an inn he could stay at for a night or two. Sure enough, not a block from the cleaners was a small tavern witha sign hanging over head that read "Dulzan's Tavern." It seemed like a good place for a quick rest. Virgil, with his commanding presense, stepped through the doors of the quiet little tavern and imidiately had the attention of everyone in the building.

After looking him over for a minute, the people of the tavern returned to there business. Virgil had a bad tendency to be anything but descrerit. He walked to the bar and orderd a drink and a something to eat. The old man behind the bar through him a stale ale, and a questionable looking piece of meat. Virgil shrugged it off and took a bite of the meat and chug of the ale. This was gonna be a long stay.

Milo looked at the man in the black robe with contempt. She didn't know why, but she didn't like him. It was probably just the ale, but she couldn't be sure. She walked up to him, not realizing how drunk she was.
"Greetings my fellow traveler. I 'ope ye are enjoying yourself as much as I am." She laughed and patted him on the back. However he just said nothing.
Milo however would not leave him alone.
"What, am I not good enough for ye? Or are ye a mute?"
She made several other attempts to get his attention but they all failed. Even offering to buy him a drink.
It was time for drastic measures. She hired one of the male prostitutes and he asked what room she was in. She told him to forget the room and pulled him over. She undressed and told him to have sex with her in front of the bar. After they started, she looked over at the man.
"Did this get your attention?"

OOC: Sorry for making this short. Just not sure if you wanted to turn this into a fight or not, Starwind.

This woman was making a scene, as well as a mockery of Virgil in full public. She was even going so far as to try and draw his attention off with some lewd act she was performing with some male escort. Virgil had decided that he had seen enough. He stood up and rolled the two off the bar and back behind it with one firm push. The girl jumped back up from behind the bar "What the hell is your problem, you pompous ass hole!"

Virgil stared at the still nude woman, as the man stumbled off, probably not wanting to get involved in this ugly situation. Virgil reached down to the ground and threw the girls clothes at her "Cover up! Your disgracing yourself and more importantly me!"

The woman put her jacket back on, turning pure beet red. She reached down and put the skirt back on "If you got a problem with the way I do things then why don't you just say it!"

Virgil didn't respond and simply turned to leave the tavern, but he could her that woman still yelling and following him, her jacket still open at the bottom. Virgil turned back to look to her. It was at this time that he noticed the tattoo. But surely she didn't know what it meant. Not that it matterd, it wasn't any business of his. As he left the tavern he heard the sound of metal. He turned around and the woman now had a pair of large knives in her hands "You just gonna walk away you punk?"

Virgil turned about, still clutching his sword in his left hand, reaching for the hilt with his right. He took up stance, preparing to fight this woman off. Now he was praying that tattoo wasn't real. Virgil looked eyes with her "I don't want to hurt you, but I won't stand by and let you attack me."

She just smirked back "Your a chatty punk!"

Still not too sober, Milo prepared to fight this pompous man. She took off the jacket and skirt he had thrown at her just a couple of minutes ago. Then seeing a barrel nearby from an oil tradesmen, she set her weapons down and hopped in the oil, submersing all of herself except her head and her hands. She got back out and grabbed her knives and stood ready for his attack. However, he hesitated. She had jumped in the oil so he wouldn't be able to get a good grip on her, but mostly because of the distraction she knew it would cause.
"I saw 'ow ye were looking at me in the tavern. But just because my body is covered in oil now doesn't give you any right to stare."
However, what Milo didn't know was that he was staring at her tattoo.
They both circled each other for what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes. Finally, Milo lunged forward. The man was able to dodge all of her blows. The ones he couldn't dodge, he blocked with his single sword. "Why don't I have the upper hand, since I have two knives?" She thought to herself. The battle became more fierce, but with neither of them being able to get a good hit in, Milo sat on the ground exhausted.
"Truce?" She asked him, with a drunken smile and holding her hand out for him to pull her up. He gripped her arm, but she was too slippery so she fell backwards. Enraged, she tried to scramble to her feet to start the fight again.
"Why, ye did that on purpose! I won't rest until I take that pompous look off your face!"

OOC: Someone feel free to come and break up the fight. Unless Starwind has an idea how to end it.

A while later in the day a feathery creature flew through the air through the village. A man followed her with a girl slung over his shoulders.

He passed two people fighting and one of them was completely nude and slightly drunk but he had no time to deal with them like he would normaly do. It was his job to keep some order in this village but this was far more important.

The creature flew past which drew the eyes of everyone who was not used to this particular village. He burst through a door to the Inn. Running through the building ignoring everyone he burst through the back door and into a back room.

A woman stood there and with a horrified look on her face she slid everything off the table. "What happend!?"

The Zeek could not tell her what had happend. He could not tell anyone of what transpired in the forest.

The man sat Rain on the table. "Well miss as you know the Final One cannot tell us but the scene looked as though a fight insued. Two dead bodies and three sets of prints so one person fled. Seems the Final One used his rare abilities to help her but how she got in this state I am unsure."

The woman nodded, "Thank you Tobin. You can go out and return to your routine."

Tobin nodded and smiled before he retreated through the door. Zeek floated there over Rain and stared down at her. The woman stared down at the girl and placed her hand on Rain's forehead.

"Ouch!" Rain jerked upwards cluthing her head.

"Sorry miss but I had to do that to wake you. Can you explain to me what happend?"

"Well Zeek met me in the forest and three men appeared. Zeek got hurt and I touched him. I didnt want him hurt no more. He healed. He told me he had abilities to heal himself and that I made it happen faster."

"Zeek?"

Rain looked at the woman as if she was nuts, "Yeah this guy!" She pointed at him.

"Oh the Final One has a name? He cannot speak to any of us. How did he speak with you?"

Rain smiled, "He spoke to me in my mind. Anyways what is all this? Where am I?"

"My name is Malin and I run the herb shop nextdoor to this Inn. We are in Korina village."

"I am Rain. And I am from the future. Apparently WAY into the future."

"Oh honey I know that. Dont you worry we have you well taken care of for now. I have a man I would like you to meet but he is not here right now so for now eat, rest, wash up and stick to this building untill I can find some clothes that make it look like you belong in this time. Yours are far to modern futuristic. To many heads would turn in question."

"A.... Alright." Hey Zeek is this who you wanted me to meet? Do I trust her?

Yes, She is the closest thing to a friend we will have for now. She knows what is going on and is willing to explain it but not right now. She is right, you need to rest up and get the blood off you.

"Ok..." She finished aloud dragging herself off the table.

Milo dropped her knives to her sides and passed out into peaceful drunken sleep. The pompous man just looked at her with surprise.

When Milo woke up, she was still nude but all of the oiil had been washed and someone had brushed her hair. She looked up when she heard someone humming. It was Ariel, sitting by her bedside.
"Ye are finally awake. I was worried, ye know. Tobin was all for kicking you out of our town but I managed to talk him out of it and get you a room in the inn." She explained with a worried look on your face.
Milo smiled. "Well, thank you Ariel. Ye 'ave a truly gentle 'eart."
Milo then looked Ariel over with some surprise.
"But if I may ask, why are ye naked?"
Ariel giggled.
"Well, someone needs to keep ye warm silly. So ye don't catch your death. In fact, I should be doing that right now."
Ariel crawled into bed with Milo and smiled. Then she pretended to fall asleep. Milo smiled also, but her thoughts were disturbed by the voices downstairs. It sounded as if there was yet another stranger in this town. Milo closed her eyes and fell asleep with her head on Ariel's chest, while Ariel slowly brushed Milo's hair with her fingers.

Just when it appeared this woman was going to start trouble, she suddenly feel over. Virgil walked over to the oily, nude woman to find that she seemed to have fallen over in her druken stupor. And not a moment too soon, either. A formally dressed man walked over to Virgil and the now unconscious nude girl and demanded to know what was going on. He was obviously some kind of authority figure for this small town. Virgil sheathed his sword quickly "My apologies, sir. It was a simple disagreement between myself and this woman." he said pointing to the naked woman on the ground "She may have started it, but I shouldn't have encouraged it by drawing my sword. You have my deepest apologies, sir."

The man seemed a bit taken back by the fact that Virgil was so quick to calm and to apologize. Though he also seemed relieved by it all. Virgil began to notice the rather large crowd that had gatherd around them. He took one more look to the woman on the ground. He had wanted to ask her about the tattoo, but it seemed like it was too late for that. A woman from the crowd stepped forth and pleaded on her behalf, but Virgil didn't stay for all that. He returned inside the building and again apologized to the inn keeper and requested a room. He considered himself very fortunate that they were still willing to let him stay.

As long as he had use of a room, he decided to take this time to make himself a bath to clean off. That oily woman had made a terrible mess of him, so he felt like taking a warm bath to rinse it all off. This was not the start he had been hoping for here. He only hoped that nothing else like that would happen again before he left.

Ooc: For now im moving this along a little bit.
------

"So, you are saying they brought me back for my power? The power I dont even know I have?"

The woman was smiling, "It is alot to take in considering all you have gone through in just a little time but it is true. I myself am unsure as to what power you do posses but the others do beleive it will help them in some way."

Rain nodded, "What is going on here." She asked as a very young muted looking boy was rushed into the room.

Malin sighed as though this had happend many times before. "Unfortunatly this time is in a lot of trouble. There is a plague going around. All of those who have special blood get sick, mutate, and die very quickly. I can ease some of the pain but there is no cure. I have been trying to figure it all out but I dont understand it."

"What do you mean special blood?"

Malin applied some crussed herbs onto the boys open wounds. "Unfortunatly there is nothing I can do for him but he has special blood. Blood that allows him to use special powers. Depending on the blood the powers are different. This boy was a little hellian in his younger years. Almost burnt down my shop accidently a few years back. He can use fire, or could, and that is all he was able to do. It was useful. However now he can hardly talk let alone move. Soon he will mutate further and die and all I can do is apply what I can to ease a little pain before it happens."

"So these special blooded people get sick and die..."

Malin nodded with tears in her eyes, "Unfortunatly it effects us normal mortals too. We may not mutate but we get very sick and can die after years of infection. The special blooded people die within a few months of getting it."

"Oh my, But in my time there is no such thing. No special blooded people with extra powers and no plague."

"Yes my dear and that might be because of you here now. Some people after you beleive you can cure this sickness. This much I know that they will do all they can to get ahold of you to fix things. Even though their ideas seem just, they are greedy and are only trying to save themselves before they get it. They wont kill you but they will harm you to get you to help them."

Tobin walked in the room, "Well, oh no not Gator too..." He trailed off at seeing the boy. "He doesnt deserve this. He is so young."

Malin wiped her tears of, "Yes Tobin what was it?"

"Oh well some people have come into the village, They might be perfect for what needs to be done. Of course two of them were fighting earlier but it seems to be cleared up. A girl her in the village talked me into not kicking the rather odd nude woman out, yet. Dispite her nudeness she seems skilled enough just so long as you keep her from booze."

"What is going on?"

"Oh I hadnt gotten to that part yet I am sorry Rain. Because I was telling you all this stuff I forgot the main point. You are here Yes but unfortunatly you will not be staying here. You have a quest you must go on. Now I know it seems pretty bad for me to tell you this but know you are not going alone. You need a weapon, did you get it Tobin?"

"Yes ma'am!" He pulled the sword off his back and handed it to malin, "The blade itself is engraved with dragons. Some of the power from the creatures of old is still infused in the blade. It might help her in more than just protection."

"I have no idea how to use a sword, how am I supposed to wield one? I will cut someones hand off, most likely mine."

Malin nodded handing it to Rain who stared at it completely lost. "I understand Child but not to worry. I have a young man in this village who will accompany you on your journey and teach you the basics. As a matter of fact to you know if he is back from is task yet?"

Tobin shook his head, "No. Kerrian is not back yet. I will know the moment he walks back into the village though. Untill then you should work with her on the info of what she should be doing. I am going to keep an eye on the village. Strange winds have been blowing lately and I dont like the feel of it."

Malin turned to rain as the man left, "You need to head to the high mountains of Haindru. They are to the north. There are no cities, no villages except for one small one on the other side but you are not headed for that spot. You are headed for a place no one knows how to find except for Final One. It is said that it is where he originated from. Not sure if it is true but There is said to be a cavern full of treasures there and in that store there is said to be information on this plague and where it started."

"How do you know all this?"

Malin pulled out a book. Journal was written on the cover in golden ink. "This. This was the Journal of Sistania, our last queen before the world went bad and that kind of system feel to ruin. No one has ruled the land since then. Each town village and city has run itself in its own way. It was grand when sistania ruled but i was a mere child at the time of her death. It says here she had a pool in the mountains and near that pool of water in a carven she hid her kingdoms glorious wonders. Not gold and trinkets like that no... she cared not for those things. She hid her precious things there... Scrolls of our past, and many other things. She wrote that the truth of this plague was written in one of those scrolls but she refused to write about it in her journal. I guess I can understand why but it would have been a lot more ... well easy for us if she had."

Rain took it all in, "So you want me to avoid the bad guys trying to get ahold of me, and find this mountain pool, treasure cavern, and then this scroll. Then what?"

"Well that I had not thought of but if it does have the origins it might have a cure. The high queen was close to figuring it out when something happend she wont tell of it but she says she sent something precious to her somewhere safe with the last of her strenght. She died later but not before she wrote that she was so close. If I could see that scroll, if it does indeed exist then I might be able to go one step farther than she could and help this world before it is to late."

Rain nodded, "This is all really hard to take in but I guess I cannot refuse. It is what I am here for now. So what comes first."

Malin smiled and hummed quietly to herself, "Unfortunatly until Kerrian returns we need to get a few more people to accompany you. Tobin just mentioned a few so I will get the boys on it." She whistled and two young men entered the room.

The first boy had shoulder length blonde hair and brown eyes, "Yes miss?"

"Good, Jaden I wish for you to seek out this nude woman of which Tobin has most likely already told you about. Tell her the basics about Rain and what she is trying to accomplish. Hopefully she will help."

"And myself my lady?" The short brownhaired boy asked.

"Yes Zaden, There is a man staying at this Inn. You most likely were also told about him. Seek him out and do the same. Tell him the basics about Rain and what is going on. Keep it quiet, we dont know who else is here that might be after her."

The boys nodded, bowed, and left the room. Rain watched silently then decided to point something out, "Jaden and Zaden?"

Malin nodded, "My sons. Twins by birth but look and act nothing like it. Jaden is older by five minutes and is very reserved and quiet about how he does things. Zaden is loud and not so refined in what he does. Both special blooded people. I worry for them."

"Does that mean..."

"Yes, I am as well. I have yet to catch the plague. No one knows how it gets from person to person because I have worked with them for years now and am still as fit as a fiddle. Others have never come in contact with others and caught it quickly. No one knows really."

Ariel and Milo both awoke and sat up in the bed upon hearing the knock on the door. The blanket fell to their laps.
"Ye may enter." Ariel called out.
A blue-eyed boy with shoulder length blond hair opened the door and entered the room. He looked over at Ariel and Milo and bowed.
"Ariel, Malin needs to speak to the nude woman. If she pleases, I will show her the way." Jaden explained.
Ariel looked over at Milo.
"Well, it looks like ye must go, Milo. If ye are leaving this town, stop by my house and I will see ye off." Ariel smiled.
Milo smiled back and got out of bed.
"Don't worry, I will." She answered.
Milo looked around for her clothes and her knives. However, they were nowhere to be found. She looked up at Ariel, and before she could ask about them Ariel had an answer.
"I bathed ye at my house, so both your clothes and your knives are over there. It is out of the way of Malin's place and she probably wants to see you right away."
Milo nodded. "Don't worry then, I will go without them for now then. It sounds like this Malin can be trusted. Also, I seem to have made myself a reputation as this 'nude woman'." She giggled.
"Aye, but it is not the best reputation." Ariel answered.
"Still, it is better than being thought of as a boy." Milo replied. Ariel was clueless as to what she meant by this, but Milo didn't stop to explain. She followed Jaden out of the tavern to see Malin. She was still nude as she was when she started that fight with the pompous man. On the way Jaden explained to Milo about Rain and her situation. Milo listened attentively. When he came to the end of the explanation, Milo gave her opinion.
"Ye can count on me to 'elp."
As tough as she acted sometimes or wanted to seem, Milo couldn't turn down a plea for help. She had been clasping her breasts with her hands on their way to Malin, but since it wasn't making much difference she stopped. Finally, they arrived and Jaden went ahead of her to tell Malin Milo's reply and to see if she would want to see Milo right now.

Malin nodded and Jaden led the naked woman into the room. Malin was expecting the young woman to have put on some kind of clothing along the way but did not but then again she wouldnt be the nude woman with clothes now would she?

"I take it you have a clear enough explination as to what is going on."

The woman nodded, "I do. Some girl got ripped from the future, got stuck here during these dark times and is being hunted by psychopaths who think her power will save them or something. She has to go on this long trek and needs help and protection because she is not skilled in swords or powers because she didnt even know she had them."

"Okay... What be your name child?"

"Milo."

"Well Milo meet Rain."

Rain smiled and felt extreamly out of place once again with all these people appearing from other places. She wished she could be back in her time with the kids at the orphanage with their hovcraft and the luxury of modern medicine and no plague.

" 'Ello. Ye in a bit of trouble I see. Glad to 'elp ye." They shook hands and Malin took over again.

"Well that all done and out of the way you have a room set for you upstairs. It will be a while untill we are prepared to send you all off so be sure to rest up and stock up on your needed supplies. The shop keepers in town are aware of your situation so they wont give you any trouble."

Malin led Milo out of the room leaving Rain in there alone. That is when Rain suddenly realized she was alone. Where did Zeek float off to?

Zeek... can you hear me? You close enough or does it work like that? Where are you?

One question at a time my lady. It is a link we share so no matter where I am I can still hear your mind. Hold on a moment...

A few seconds later he floated in through the open window.

"Ok Zeek I know your holding out information. What is going on with me?"

You helped my healing go faster, you have the ability to help heal small things like cuts. That is not all though. Let me ask you a question. When you lived in the future, have you done something you thought was normal and strange things happened?

"Well..." She thought for a moment, "When I sang for the kids not a single one of them was awake when I was done. And they were always so tough to get to go to sleep otherwise. Wild things came around when I was in the garden. Animals that would never come near humans."

Animal communication and lullaby. Never heard or seen another Pure Blood with that ability. Normal water and earth but nothing so distant.

"Wait pure blood?"

Oh Malin wouldnt know this information. There are mortals who who have no special qualities ot their blood. Pure bloods are decendants of creatures who posed as humans long ago and forgot their origins after a time. Going on creatuing children and so on. Their blood creature Pure Bloods. Most specialize in Water and Earth type magic. Dark blood's storys are the same except they specialize in Fire and Air magic. Normal mortals can do magic but not much at all. They are not strong in it they have no blood from creatures with special abilities so they draw what they can from the world around them and unfortunatly magic in this world is dying just as fast as all the special blooded people who catch this plague Malin told you about.

"Wow. How do you know all this?"

I will tell you this now child... No matter how many times you ask me more into the matter I will not say. It is best if you find out all the truths out on your own.

I wonder why I dont see any other creatures like him around... She thought to herself

Because as Malin calls me... I am the Final One. All the others of my species have all been hunted or killed or died off. I am the last one.

"I forgot you could read my mind even if it is not directed to you..." She frowned. "Sorry, why cant you tell me. It would be so much easier than for me to search for it."

That is it though. You never really learn things if it is handed to you. You learn so many lessons on your journey to find answers. That knowledge you will gain on your trip will be usefull later on down the road and I cannot teach you these things. Nothing should be to easy to aquire or it not worth aquiring.

She sighed, "I guess you make a point."

Of course I do. Now here someone comes.

Suddenly Jaden walked into the room with an arm load of clothes. "Here you go My Lady. Clothes so you fit in more around this time. Notice i got you boots too. It might be a little out there but I am afraid it is all I could find on such short notice."

Rain took the clothes and thanked him before he left the room. She enjoyed the greens and once the boots were on she felt very comfortable. She now had a place to tie her sword and she did that as well. She almost looked like she was from this time and that she belonged... to bad her feelings couldnt match it.

Fear not Rain. Alanna will come to you soon and you will no longer feel like you are the only one out of place.

"Who is Alanna." When he did not respond she glared, "Oh right the whole 'I must seek my answers' thing right?" When he nodded slightly as he hovered there she sighed, "You are a complicated being."

I know

After finishing his shower, Virgil stood at the window to his room and stared out into the night sky. Something about the stars at night calmed him. The was a knock at the door. Virgil turned "Yes."

The door opend and behind it was a young boy with short cut brown hair "Would you come with me? Your needed down stairs."

Virgil was a bit puzzled by the sudden intrusion, seeing as he didn't know anyone here. Perhaps it was someone coming to tlak about the incient from earlier that day. Virgil walked over toward the boy "And what does this concern exactly?"

The boy sighed, like this was some kind of chore for him "Just please come. Everything will be explained once we get you down stairs."

Virgil shrugged his shoulders "Can I get your name then?"

The boy let out another annoyed sigh "It's Zaden. Now please come."

The boy was rude, but still very insistent. So, Virgil decided he should go, since it obviously meant alot to the boy. Virgil picked up his sword and followed the boy down stairs. The halls were particularly quiet, but Virgil could hear a few voices coming from below. When they reached the bottom of the stairs Zaden quickly made his way toward a door at the base and opened it up "I found him." he proclaimed as he then stood to one side so VIrgil might enter.

Virgil took caution as he walked through the door, checking to make sure this wasn't some kind of set up. There was a young girl in the room with a strange white bird like creature beside her. There was another young boy beside Zaden, who had blonde hair and looked alot like Zaden. Maybe a brother, Virgil thought to himself. But he was much more interested in the girl and her odd looking beast. Virgil looked to Zaden who then pointed to the young girl. Virgil, always wanting to be the perfect gentlemen, walked over to the young girl "Hello, ma'am. My name is Virgil. I was told you wanted to see me."

OOC: Sorry it's taken so long, my computer was on the fritz :/
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a soft crunch, as a leaf was broken into many pieces. At the sound a rabbit took off startled. It was the rabbit's instincts that took in. There was a noise, and it couldn't be normal, so the rabbit had to run. It zig zagged through the forest, dodging bushes and jumping over fallen trees. It was fast and it knew it. He loved running, the feeling of complete freedom he got made him excited. Rabbits were some of the most agile of creatures. It ran past a snake who didn't even see it.
The rabbit smirked. Snakes were such dull creatures and cocky to boot. They were pathetic hunters, only attacking the weak and defenseless. They had no honor, they were week. The rabbit chuckled, they were such pre madanas. The rabbit continued running. It ran past it's friend, it's family, ran past it's home, and continued going. It couldn't stop, and it loved the feeling. He heard a dull thud, but ignored it. It must've been a random branch falling, he continued running. The forest was so colorful. Reds, purples, greens. He took in all the colors, and then there was black.
Ky walked to the now dead rabbit. He knealt down next to it, and pulled the arrow out from the back of it's neck.
"I am sorry old friend, but I need to eat. You were a great creature in life, and you will be so after. Good luck, wherever you may go."
Ky smiled, the rabbit was a fast one. Probably a care free spirit, who enjoyed the thrill. The rabbit was a lot like him, except Ky did not enjoy the thrill of being hunted. He had been hunted for too long now, he was tired of running and hiding. He knew he had to though, he had to stick up for the weak, he had to stick up for the children. He wasn't going to let them do the same things anymore. Children were not going to die.
He stood back up with the rabbit in hand and walked back to his "camp." He knelt down by the fire and added some more wood. He then stuck two branches into the ground, each on different sides of the fire. After cutting little notches in each, he set a stick on top of both of them, spanning the length of the fire. He then put the rabbit on the stick and slowly flipped the stick over and over and over again. It was a long and tedious way to cook, but it was a necessity. Too many people were dying of diseases, and any warrior knew that most of these deaths were because of their food.
It took some time, but finally the rabbit was cooked. He sat there and ate the rabbit, enjoying the fresh meat. He did not take the time to cook meals meat normally, it was too risky, but he also knew he needed the food. He always chose one or two days a week to cook, and he loved those days. As soon as Ky was finished he cleaned up his mess, took care of the fire, got rid of all signs of a camp, and he left. Such was the life of Ky. Always on the move, always cautious, and always looking both forward and backwards at the same time.
It was late in the day when he came across a town. Ky studied the town. He didn't like stopping into towns very often, but he was running low on supplies, and a bed did sound nice. He walked into the gate and looked around. He smiled it was a nice town. Kids were running about playing and laughing. The adults were busy doing what needed to be done. There was the hustle and bustle of a larger town, but the feeling of freedom that came along with a small town. Ky relaxed slightly and walked towards the inn.
It was getting late, and he was tired. He walked in and surveyed the inn and smiled. It seemed safe enough. He went to the inn keeper and requested a room. The inn keeper nodded and offered him a basic room, for pretty cheap. Ky took it happily and walked up the stairs to his room. Once he was in his room, he locked the door, laid his weapons beside him, and then fell asleep.
Rain smiled at the man and looked up at her friend floating nearby. He nodded in approval and Rain stood up. "My name is Rain..."
Over the course of a half hour she explained to him all the she had just been told. While explaining things to him she heard another person enter the Inn and request a room but continued on the task. After everything was said and explained she straight up asked him. "Will you help me with this? I know it sounds crazy or wierd that a complete strange would ask you this but It is all i have to go on. In the long run id like to return to my own time but i need to do this here first and I cannot do it alone."
Virgil thought for a moment, "Well-" But before he could say anything else Jaden walked into the room.
"Rain, A nother person as just recently arrived who Malin thinks will be good for this and Tobin has looked into it. I will go get him for you."
Rain held up her hand, "That will not be needed. I shall do it myself."
"Buy my lady..."
"I need to start doing stuff for myself, if im the one who needs help i should be finding the people to help me. I appreciate you help and all but I need to not be like the defenseless little girl whos way out of her league and cant do anything for herself. Thank you but i will handle it."
"Very well" And he backed out of the room.
"Escuse me a moment Virgil. I will let you think a little on your reply and I will go talk to this newcomer." She gave him a slight bow, her red hair falling in front of her face a little. "I will be back shortly."
A few moments later she was upstairs at a door. She had talked to the Innkeeper and he gave her the right room number. She stood there and stared at the number for a moment. She knew it was late, and thereason the traveler wanted a room was to sleep. She kenw also that if a man came to the door and woke the traveler it might not seem so good. She thought it would look better if she did it herself. She took a deep breath and then knocked loudly a few times.
Silence, she tried again. This time someone stirred inside and she heard them cross the room in sort of a groggy fashion. The door swung oope nad a man leaned against the doorway. "What is it..." He seemed irritated and Rain didnt blame him.
"Yes my name is Rain and I need to... I need to discuss something very important to you. I am sorry to wake you for this but it is important."
Now that he was a little more awake he realized she wasent there for a certain...job so he seemed more aware of things. He nodded, "Go ahead...My name is Ky by the way..."
Like with Virgil she gave him a quick overview of what was going on and how things were going. What she needed and why she was asking people. Once it seemed he had a good idea of the plan and what was really happening she bowed, "Again I am sorry for waking you but i needed to ask now. If you need time to think on this please do. I will be in the medical room downstairs."
With that she left him standing there and dissapered down the stairs. She re entered the room and Virgil stood there still contemplating his answer. She sat at the table next to Zeek and smiled at him. Hopefully more than just the nude woman would decide to help her.
Kerrian Was Frankly late due to the fact he was Knelt down next to a Wounded animal who had Been Left to die Needlessly He Had Dragged it up to a nearby empty cave and nursed it wounds during the night and Gathered the herbs he needed from these caves during the day when the light reached in a bit.
On the Day when the Animal was finally Recovering he managed to pick enough of the cave herbs to Fill his Bags and started on the path back into town.. Knowing he would be a Day or so before he would make it to Korina. Sighing he shouldered the packs and made his way through the forest taking shortcuts he knew and some of them supplied by the mother herself. It was as if he was sort of being Pushed alot like he was needed somewhere again.
Walking Down the Hidden Forest Paths he Made his Way back into Town shortly after Moonrise. The Glow of the Moon on his Tattered And Ripped Cloak his Staff Crunching into the Dirt As he made his Way wearily to the Inn to drop off what he had collected for the people there. His task almost done for now as he Walked into the Inn His hand went to push his Cloak hood back as he indoors.
This was an awful lot to mull over in just a few moments. Virgil looked straight into the young girls eyes. She seemed kind and trustworthy, but it wasn't always in his nature to be trusting. He gave the floating creature another look and for some reason he felt like he was being reassured by this small creature. Virgil looked to the girl, Rain, again and extended his hand to her "Very well. I'll be happy to help you. I can be ready to go by morning."
The girl smiled wide and gave another bow "Thank you very much, sir."
Virgil bowed back and turned to leave and return to his room. It was only now that he rememberd how tired he was. It had been over day since the last time he had slept. And over a week since he had slept in a bed. He might as well make the best of it.
When Virgil got back to his room, it was almost cold with the blowing night air. He walked over to the open window to close it before going down for the night. As he approached the window he looked out to stary night sky one more time to sooth himself once more. But when he looked up he saw something that chilled him. In a night's sky filled with white stars, there on the horizon he could see a star that blazed a crimson red.
His mother had always spoken of meggido's star. The first sign of tragedy. Appearing to those on the brink of true terror and horror. He always thought it was just a story. A fairy tale meant to scare children straight. Between this and that girl from this afternoon, Virgil feared for the future of not just himself, but all others.
Milo headed back to her room, where she met Ariel, who was still just as naked as she was.
"So what news do ye have, Milo? Why did Malin wish to see ye?"
Milo frowned. "Ye had better sit down."
Ariel sat down, with a worried look in her eyes. Then Milo explained everything. She told her about Rain, how she was going to go with her to protect her and try to figure out who this person was that they were supposed to meet. When she finished, Ariel just sat and thought for a few minutes. Then her countenance lightened.
"I can come with ye!" She said, happily.
Milo shook her head. "No, your place is 'ere. Besides it will be very dangerous. I don't want to see something to happen to ye."
Ariel frowned. Milo hugged her though, and whispered into her ear.
"'owever, I will leave my clothes 'ere. They might not seem that important, but that jacket is all I 'ave to remember my mother."
Ariel hugged her back. "Hold on, I will be right back."
Milo lay down on her bed and waited.
Thirty minutes later, Ariel came back. She had a small pack with straps that held both of her knives in sheathes.
"Here, try this on."
Milo stood up and put the pack on. First it covered her breasts but Ariel helped her adjust it. Now it wasn't any better though, since it squeezed them together.
"Just remember to take it off now and then." Ariel said, as she massaged Milo's breasts for her.
"It contains all ye will need for your trip. I will let ye rest now." Ariel said, hugging her.
After she left, Milo lay down again and fell to sleep while waiting for their journey to begin.
She had so many things on her mind. Virgil, Ky, and Milo had agreed to help her and the one who was supposed to meet her before they left still was not there. Zeek flew around the room quietly, the air current in the room kicked up by his feathered wings. Upon seeing a red bird outside her made a wierd noise that was similar to a birds and everyone watched as all of his feathers changed colors. They are all red with black tips now.
"Nice..." Rain smiled, "I mean after all that could come in handy."
The others, who had been called down to get their stuff ready for the next day, looked at her like she was slightly bonkers.
Well anyways, it could be used for camoflauge and spying if we needed it.
Let us hope we will not. I just use it to get a little change in my life. Flyin around out there as one color is boring for so long.
How long have you lived?
To long to count the years thats all I know.
Oh..., she straigtened up and glanced at a map that was sprawled out on the table. "So we are here right?" She pointed at the small area on the lower section of the old paper map. "Korina Village just on ther outskirts of the forest but still in the forest. Deep in the forest, around the middle, is a lake. To the west of the forest is plains and one ofthe large cities. Saem to the east, plains and a large city right?"
"I have traveled those ways and yes that is correct." Milo nodded.
Rain sighed, "And north of us is some fields then at the base of the mountains that stretch to their side of this land, i find that very cool, wait sidetracking myself... At the base od the mountains is the silver mine... Somewhere on the peaks of the mountains is this pool we are looking for and chamber of goodies or something."
Zeek nodded with enthusiasim in agreement.
"There isnt much on the map of the north..." Rain pointed out.
Ky agreed, "Yes but that is because not many have charted the areas. They know there is an ocean way on the other side but I havnt seen it so who knows."
Suddenly the door opened and a man walked in with a younger man. The older one left in a grumpy mood and the other seemed very confused.
"Oh hello..." Rain said stading up, her sword moving with her and barely knocking the end of the table.
Kerrian noticed it and looked at Rain. This girl barely looked like she could lift a sword but he was going to listen anyways.
"As I said my name is Rain. Can I get your name?"
"Kerrian." He responded.
"Oh Malin said you were the one we had to wait for. Yes ok." And again she went on explaining her situation to him just like she had with the others. She thought ths process was getting very old but she knew the others had heard it the same amount of times she has said it so she knew she wasnt the only one getting a little annoyed with the "speeches"
Kerrian looked at her with some question, "If you are from the future as you say, why do you have a sword?"
"Malin had someone find it for me. Small simple said something about dragons on the blade or something. Thats when I told them that i cant use it-"
"Dragons on the blade? Can I see it..."
Rain looked a little take aback by that but agreed and pulled it from its plain brown scabbard with small red stones on it. She pulled the golden handle out and the shiny metal of the blade reflected onto the ceiling. "He said dragons were engraved on the blade see..." She showed it to him and he seemed very interested in it as if he knew the design from somewhere. "Do you know of it?"
"Oh uh no, just admiring the work, not often you see engraved weapons now a days."
"Anyways will you help us, Malin said you could teach me some of the basics with this thing and your expertise would come in handy on this trip."
"Did she really say that?" He asked curiously.
Rain nodded, "Of course..." Well no but it makes everything sound a little more convincing... she thought to herself. Causing Zeek to let out a strange growl like chirp that sounded like it could have been a laugh.
The trees in the woods whispered as she passed and glowing eyes peered at her from ground and branch. Her horse shook its mane and pawed the ground. Sage urged her horse forward through the darkness. A traveling trader she’d passed around dusk had directed her this way, saying only that what she sought was there. How he would know was beyond the stretch of her mind at present, but she had learned years ago not to question the strangers who oft appeared in her life.
She had been riding for three days now, through fields, woods, and small provincial towns, pushing her horse on faster and farther, feeling the pull of something unknown.
Suddenly, the trees broke before her and she was looking down on the promised town. Spurring her horse to a gallop, Sage made her way brusquely past houses and closed shops to the only light, near the end of the village. Sliding down off her horse, she authoritatively entered the inn, going streight to the bar. She could here the people whispering around her, but she was used to this reaction. Her light golden hair, startling green eyes, sun kissed complexion and twin ivory handled blades strapped across her back tended to draw attention. Not to mention woman fighters were typically taboo as it was.
“I am in need of a drink and information”
The innkeeper stared at her blankly for a moment and then recovered “wine?”
She nodded and dispensed a generous amount of coin from her pouch as he poured into a wooden mug. “What information do you seek milady?”
Sage looked at him unblinking “I thought you might be able to tell me that.”
After a moment of confusion, he eyes cleared and he nodded. “Follow me.”
After listening and Examining the Dragon engraved Sword Kerrian was both Interested and enraged at the thought of Malin giving away such a powerful sword to such a person they never knew.
He knew the sword very well but feigned lack of knowledge due to the fact the girl seemed scared enough as it was. Supposely the sword was one of prophecy and was to be given to the "savior" of the world. He didn't believe such things but apparently these idiots had and had now volenteered him to help her in ways he really wasn't prepared to help anyone.
Granted compared to the hedgewitchs around he was much stronger but if this girl should face a real Magic-user he would Not beable to protect her and the people here seemed more like strange nobles then fighters. Dispite the fact that looks can hide a great deal he still was nervous about such a venture.
He glanced at the party and then at the map and said. Planning on a long trip? He closed his eyes and Turned his headas he held a hand out. His staff slowly Pulled out of his straps and Landed in his hand gracefully as he said. If you are you look like you need a guide.. You should find one.. not many know this Land well enough to Guid well.
Rain was about to say something to Kerrian when another person was escorted into the room. Rain sighed. This one looked like she was ready for anything. Two blades strapped to her back carefully. She asked about the situation and rain again went through her speech and once done she left the woman to think about it.
"Please Kerrian, we need your help, Malin told me you would be the best person."
She gave him this look and suddenly everything in the room went quiet. Malin in the other room was speaking to someone ,"She really does look alot like her... dont you think?"
"Yes but still... its hard to say..." A deep manly voice echoed down the hall.
"Anyways please, we need your help."
Kerrian Looked at her and Groaned as he said. You got me.. I just hope we don't piss off some Wizard or Major magic-user.. Malin Forgot to mention i am the best for this area.. But not the best of all.. As for the sword Keep it close it very Valuable. He fell silent and then spoke again and said. Where are you planning to go first on your world tour.As he said it he got a nasty Female Voice in his head telling him to Behave and to listen. Muttering he looked at Rain.
He looked her over and the others and lifted his Staff up as he whispered a word and brought it down the Staff glowed as he Let the energy he summoned into himself and Held up a hand and said. I am a Child of the Mother and I follow her Path Which for now Goes with your own. Lead the way Lady Rain. His eyes looked her over again and his eyes Detected the auras around them as he spoke.
He Glanced at the door and Mentally Cursed himself for being so easy to control and then Sighed as he pulled a chair up and sat down his tattered cloak floating down to the floor as he sat and he looked around and then at the map.
There was too much unrest for Virgil to sleep well. First there was that incident earlier in town, then this girl asked him to join her, and now the star. Virgil rolled from his bed and decided to keephimself busy. No sense in lying in bed when you can't sleep. He thought perhaps he could pick up his clothes from the cleaners if he left now. Not wanting to be spotted on his way out, Virgil jumped from the second story window and headed the few doors down to the cleaners.
He walked in, surprised to see there was anyone still working here. It was a much younger looking man working the desk this time. He appeared to be in better shape then the older gentleman earlier, but seemed surprisingly alert for it being so late and all. The man gave him a bow "Welcome, sir. What can I do for you?"
Virgil looked toward the back room to see if he could spot his clothes from the desk "Yes, I dropped off a blue jacket with white shirt and vest, along with a set of plue pants as well. You wouldn't happen to know if there finished yet?"
The man knealt down and brought up Virgils clothing "You mean these things? I was wondering who these belonged to. They seemed to nice for someone to just be dropping off though."
Virgil simply gave his thanks, collected his things, returned the robes he had been lended and left the store in a hurry. His mind was still not quite at rest for what had happend. It was at this time that Virgil became aware of another voice on dark street. Virgil stopped walking and stood perfectly still for a moment, trying to listen to the other voice "Are they here?"
It seemed unimportant but soemthing about the nights event was making Virgil a bit paranoid. A second voice responded, this one was clearly a womans voice "Yes. There nearby."
Virgil was beginging to feel more and more on edge. Like he was being watched. The mans voice returned "Then what do we do?"
Was there some kind of plan in place "Give it time. We'll get the signal soon."
"Is it gonna be a fire?"
"On the north side. Keep your eyes focused on the sky and let us know when you se the light."
Virgil had heard enough. They may not have said anything really, but they sounded like they had something planned. Virgil continued down the road to go back to the inn so he could retrieve his sword. He didn't want to stir up trouble, but now he was going to have to remain more vigilent "Look to the north." He said to himself over and over again as he walked back.
