GHOST HOUND is the current project of Production I.G. but that's far less important than knowing that the concept is by Masamune Shirow and that isn't nearly as important as knowing that the director is the guy who did Serial Experiments Lain and Kino's Journey. Double-take over to my favorites list and OMG they're both in the top 10! So yeah, you can bet I'm looking forward to this.

The first episode was slow, but not slow like the first episode of Lain which drove me insane the first time I saw it, in fact it's very interesting and far more linear while still being incredibly mysterious. My favorite thing about this director is that he can manage to make really beautiful, interesting, and unique things without the slightest bit of pretentiousness (if only the fans were the same way XD) and GHOST HOUND certainly has this attribute thus far.

The dream sequences are amazing, as well the whole time I watched I couldn't stop thinking of the Dredg song Scissor Lock which is about sleep paralysis (I keep picking up... auditory hallucinations) overall watching this while playing Persona 3 is going to be absolute mindrape, but I'm fine with that because I'm ****ing excited about this show. This is the one this season which I'll be talking about and re-watching for years to come.

Mm, Chiaki J. Konata. This show could be either be a beautiful mess or a... well, not-so-beautiful mess. Out of his slow stuff, I've found some of it to be painfully boring (Lain) and some of it more than tolerable (Texhnolyze), but I'd be hard-pressed to say what tips the scale one way or another. Going by the first episode (which is a pretty good thing to go by, if the past is any indication), Ghost Hound will be more than watchable.

Love that OP.

And here I thought you had good taste :p (and he says this with Duvet playing)

In all seriousness, though, GHOST HOUND is already far more active than Lain was in it's earlier eps (wait a minute, you thought Lain was boring, but you tolerated Texhnolyze?!) and by the looks of things, it might have some real action to it (no matter how trippy, remember this is still a Shirow concept) unlike Lain who feautred one, maybe 2 meaningful characters, this one's got a few - and judging by their personalities I can already seeing this group work really well together. I like the flamboyant boy best <3

I've been putting off watching this because I've been having audio problems with the episodes (grr), and my attention is stretched a little too thin with various other things to bother figuring out/fixing it right now. That said, it still seems like a very cool show, and I'll be really happy when I can see more of it.
