Loreley finished with Okryuu for what seemed like the twentieth time, but it could have been more. When she was done 'pleasuring' herself with Okryuu, she sat up and looked over at Martel.
"Sure. I'll follow you to your ship okay?" She said, smiling.

Later, inside of Martel's ship, Loreley apologized.
"Martel, I'm sorry about that. I have never seen a ship before, so I thought that was one of the private cabins."
Martel smiled.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sorry for yelling. You can do it all you want, just make sure it's not in the bridge next time okay?"
Loreley smiled and nodded.
However, Martel couldn't seem to find the clothes that she could have sworn she had had for Loreley.
"They must be around here somewhere..." She said while digging through various drawers and cabinets.
Something had attracted Loreley's eye though, so she wasn't paying attention.
"Don't worry about it. I'm used to being naked. It's kind of a tribal thing. Thanks anyways though. But what is this?" She asked, pointing at some objects in a corner.

OOC: Odin, I am cutting it short here because I want Loreley to have noticed some cybernetic exoskeletons. However, if repairing/building them isn't Martel's hobby, then go ahead and make her point at something else. But if that is her hobby, it will be very useful later on.

Brash'una kept touching buttons and holographic panels as they prepared for re-entry into the Nightside atmosphere. As he finshed clicking buttons he grabbed the controls to the ship and pressed a few more buttons by telepathy.

"Adun, release the controls to manual and allow me to fly for re-entry"

"Yes sir." The controls clicked over as Brash'una took control and instantly pressed a button on the side of the left control stick. The button activated the ships re-entry protocols for this ship. The wings folded into the ship and it took on the look of a sweeping falcon going for its prey. Lance gripped on to the side of his chair as they were entering the atmosphere. Brash'una looked over his shoulder to the Lion breed. He spoke as he was turning back to face the ground coming closer.

"Get ready for an Ash'Tar re-entry."

"What?" Lance said with a tone of worry and confusion. Brash'una suddenly slammed the controls forward, sending the ship full thrust into the atmosphere and heading toward the ground. Adun soon became a fireball hurtling toward the planets surface, when they had broken through and were ever closer to the land mass below them Brash'una reacted quickly. He pressed the button on the left stick again just as he was forcing the ship into a barrel roll. It spread its wings and shot the fire of re-entry everywhere as they blasted past the waters of the ocean and the ship floating in the waters. The dust kicked up on the land as Brash'una took Adun low to the ground, evading all sorts of metal scrap sticking out that would take them out at these speeds.

He had let back on the throttle when they had made it and did the barrel roll, and his ship was already easily breaking the sound barrier on this world. If he were to push it to full thrust again then he would have gone faster then even Ash'Tar can see. He gradually let back on the throttle as they swung back around, they came to a gentle stop as Brash'una lowered the ship to where it was hovering above the ground a good fifty feet. He released the controls to Adun again and stood from his chair and walked to the spot in the middle of the ship where an obvious white ring outline was on the floor. Brash'una looked to Lance and held out his odd hand.

"Please join me, this will be interesting to meet some of the roots of your genetic make up. I am very excited to be able to meet such a race, especially one that has lived for so long on this desolate planet." Lance stood from his chair and stood beside Brash'una on his left side. The Ash'Tar turned to his right and taped a few keys on a holographic panel and two small doors pulled apart and retracted into the wall of the ship. He reached in and grabbed a small wrist band from the shelves, as soon as he removed his hand and turned back to Lance the doors had closed up once again. Brash'una tapped a few of the sides of the wrist band and it expanded to a little larger then lances wrist. He grabbed the Lion breeds hand and put the wrist band on him, he pressed one more button and it constricted until it fit his wrist perfectly. Lance looked at it oddly.

"This is a warp bracelet. All you have to do is touch the band and it will instantly warp you back to Adun. Only use this in case of an emergency, otherwise this will just allow us to communicate with one another if we get separated." Lance nodded to him as Brash'una straightened out and he spoke to Adun.

"Send us down, by the ship if you would please."

'Yes sir." And in and instant they were broken down into energy and sent down to the planet. They found themselves standing on the sandy beach near the ship close to shore, both the Ash'Tar and the Lion breed looked out to the ship and saw a person standing on the outside. Lance waved at him, Brash'una thought it was a better idea that Lance did since it might be less threatening to the captain of the ship. But they would only find out when they were brought aboard to consult with the captain and its crew. The man waved back and instantly head down his ship and came to them, driving a small shuttle across the water. The man in the shuttle, however, had his pistol drawn when he noticed the Lion breed and then the Ash'tar all covered up in his cloak. Lance spoke up when Brash'una requested he be the one to speak to him first.

"Hello there sir. My name is Lance, and this is my friend Brash'una. We came to Nightside seeing about this Vamtyr problem. But, we have found that your ship is one of the few pieces of technology on this world and would like to talk with you and your crew, we could provide some help with your ship, since it seems like it is in disrepair." The captain of the ship looked past Lance and to Brash'una in his dark purple cloak. He stared at his glowing, green eyes through his cowl and face covering.

"What is he? Why is he all covered up?" Brash'una stepped forward and reached out and lightly grazed him with his fingers. The captain wield back and help uo his pistol at his face.

"Whoa buddy, no need to touch me. I don't know who or what you are."

"I am Brash'una, as my friend has told you. I am an Ash'Tar from a very distant galaxy. I am here to help in whatever way I can while still interfering as little as possible." The captain looked at him oddly as he tried to understand where the voice was coming from. Soon enough he holstered his gun and held out his hand toward Brash'una.

"Names Micheal. I'm the one who captains that ship." Brash'una looked at the extended hand for a moment then reached out slowly and gripped it, then they began to shake and Brash'una looked at with some interest. When they released hands they headed to the shuttle and boarded casually. They then began their short trip to the ship, Brash'una was a bit excited with anticipation while still on the cautious side. He could see Lance was prepared for the worse if it came down to it.

OOC: Actually that works out, I haven’t described the exoskeleton leg brace that Martel wears- as described in her bio. While designing and building them really isn’t a major focus, she does do some work with them since the methods used in their designs are similar to designing and reparing ship, in fact the Alutri Arrow KN1-001 is the prototype of her first successful design.
______________________________________________________________________

~KN1-001 Alutri Arrow, Martel’s quarters~

“Those are…” She said softly, kind of embarrassed. Pulling up one of her pant legs, she revealed that there was one similar to the ones that Loreley was pointing to attached to her left leg, running from her voluptuous thighs all the way down to her relatively small feet. “They are a reminder of my past. My left leg was once crushed by a machine, and while it was reconstructed it is not as strong as it should be- I cannot stand or walk for any length of time without the support of one of the cybernetic braces. Fortunately, the design concepts and methods of making them are similar for designing ships like this one, so over the years since the accident I have made a few different kinds. The one I am wearing right now is better than that one, though it still has it’s share of problems.

She turned to her desk and sorted through the drawings, pulling out a piece of paper that bore a yellow and black symbol on it- the traditional symbol for a radiation hazard. “Also, be careful while you are on my ship and many others like it- on mine there is a door with a red latch, normally there are several locks on it but I removed them because I had to open it earlier. This symbol will be painted on it or near it. What lies beyond that door is the machine that is the heart of my ship, and many other ships have a similar heart with a locked door bearing this symbol leading to it. If you pass through that door without special clothing on, even what I am wearing now is not enough, you will almost certainly die from it. I don’t know if you would understand what the machine beyond that door is, but it is a machine that while it gives power to make ships like this one and the one you were on a few minutes go also produces a deadly force when operating, and extreme caution must be taken when working around it. Normally the doors on ships that lead to them are closed and locked, keeping the people aboard out of danger. ”

She put the drawing back on her desk, and sat down in the chair to cover the exoskeleton on her leg with her pants again. Almost immediately after her leg was hidden again, she smiled and said “I just remembered where I put them. Come with me.”

Leading the way, she showed Loreley to a room next door to the one they were just in. It had similar furnishings, slightly older and a bit dusty but still serviceable. Mostly though it was populated by boxes of old parts, clothes, and a few file cabinets of designs and repair guides.

“Ah, here they are.” She chimed, picking a box off the stack and opening it. Inside was a pair of back jeans, a set of women’s undergarments, and an ocean blue tank top. “I’ll help you put them on if you like, they are too small for me but look to be about your size. Hopefully soon Michael will have found the keys to the locks on the door with the symbol on his ship, so that I can suit up and repair what is wrong down there.”

Meanwhile outside, more guests had arrived, along with a ship that if Martel saw what was inside it she would drown in her own drool over the technology on board.

Okryuu sat in Micheal's chambers, breathing heavily. He was extrodinarily confused by what had just gone on. He just sat there in silence, trying to contemplate why he had just had sex with a girl he had just met, in the bridge of a ship no less, how she had given birth so fast, and why, now, he still had so much energy. He put his hands in his face an dlet out a long sigh. Micheal laughed.

"That was some diplay out there, buddy! Didn't think you had that in you!" Okryuu chuckled lightly and wiped his face.

"Yah, neither did I... It was like I couldn't control myself... And everything she was saying just made sense to me, you know? Repopulating her tribe and all?... Was still really strange..." Micheal laughed and hit Okryuu on the shoulder.

"For future reference, should you ever be overtakn with that urge again, please not on my bridge, m'kay?" Okryuu nodded meakly as Micheal's attention was drawn away. He looked to the outside of the ship, confused.

"What in the hell... Hey, Okryuu, I'll be right back." Okryuu noded in confusion and watched Micheal walk off. He sat there for a couple minutes, then looked down at himself. He looked around, then lookeddown at himself again.

"I need a change of clothes. Can't travel in these..." He jumped up and headed towards the entrance of the ship, to walk in on a conversation between Micheal and two extrodinarily odd looking characters, apparently named Lance and Brash'una. He glanced them over once and politely waved.

"Hi... the names Okryuu. A pleasure." They both introduced themselves again, and then Okryuu turned back to Micheal.

"I'm gonna leave real quick, pick up some supplies, and then come back. Whether you like it or not, I'm now part of your crew." Micheal grunted as Okryuu jumped into his jeep and drove off.

A Few Minutes Later...

Okryuu drove back up the ship, and hopped out. He had completely changed attire from what he was wearing earlier. On his head rested a black cadet cap slightly tilted to the right, and around his neck were a pair of goggles. A black, short-sleeved, button ober jacket with the collar up was over a white, short sleeved, button up shirt with cuffs, also with the collar turned up. Dark blue jeans fell over his metal laced runnning shoes. He brushed himself off with his hands, which were covered by black, fingerless gloves.

"That oughtta do." He smiled contently and slung a bag of his shoulder, which bumped againist the long-gun he was wielding earlier, now perched on his back. He parked the car, pulled a wrench out of his pocket, and walked inside of the ship, ready to help in any way he could.

+++++

OOC: Wow, it was kinda wierd reading the sex posts Lilt, lol. But anyways, I decided Okryuu should have a wardrobe change, more appropriate for travelling.

The little meeting with the human named Micheal went by more smoothly that lance could have predicted, although when a gun was pulled to Brash'una Lance was ready to eviserate the little being. The lion was thankful it ended peacefully, they were escorted to the ship moments later where they met more humans, the bunch was lively and organized. Lance could tell that Brash'una was joyed and going to have a handful learning about their culture, the lion was in th same boat. The only human males he's ever seen are the ones on the old scientists in documentaries about Jupiter's birth, the rest have been females or other lion hybrids. So far though, they seemed nice and reasonable enough to talk to and have simple conversations, Brash'una and Micheal talked around the ship talking with one another. Lance just stayed on the bridge looking at the computer consoles they had, similar to his planets technology but a little low tech. The large lion knelt down and looked at a small screen, there was a small signal coming from outside the ship apparently, weak but still strong enough to be noticed by the ships sensors.

"Ummm, hello? Anyone else see this" Lance looked around, but he was the only on the bridge that he saw. "Well, its not too far from here. I can take a quick peek" The large lion stood on his feet again as he left the ship and began walking on the beach, he used his mini computer to trace the signals source. Thats when Lance noticed the small thin smog of smoke coming from the rocks. "Could it be that wrecked Vamtyr?" The lion reached his destination to get his answer, the mechanical being was sending a small homing signal out to other Vamtyr's, but it seemed too weak to reach out to the planets atmosphere. With a single smooth motion, Lance extended his claws and struck the metal shell until pieces were sent flying in the air, the signal died instantly. "Just to be safe" The massive lion stood staight up once more, only to have his nose twitch slightly, he smelt something sickly sweet in the air and it seemed to be coming from the jungle area near by. "But that smells like..." without hesitation Lance began to sprint towards the direction of the scent, not caring where he was going but trying to find the source of the smell. He came into a clearing of grass and trees which provided ample amounts of shade to the lion, standing and still smelling he looked up at one of the trees to see a fruit. It was an apple, something that reminded Lance of his home planet Jupiter, he wasn't expecting a small fruit like this to grow anywhere else besides his home planet. Lance sat down cross legged on the ground as he simple just looked at the fruits that hung on the branches, his tail swished from side to side in the air in a smooth motion. Lance could hardly heat Brash'una through the wrist band when he was called upon.

"Lance, where did you go off too?" Still the lion just remembered his mother on Jupiter handing him the fruit when he was a cub, the thought brought the lion a moments peace as he remembered the happy memory. "Lance...." The lion's ears popped up as he was brought back to reality by Brash'una's voice.

"Yes....sorry I was, ummmm taking care of something. What's the matter Brash'una?" Lance stood up and began to talk back to the beach, rubbing his eyes with his free hand.

"Besides the information I've gathered from these human I was wondering where you ventured off to. So I had Adun do a scan of the area, find anything interesting?"

"That Vamtyr we saw from space was giving out a small signal, maybe to other's out in orbit or something. I'm not sure it if worked but I made sure to dispose of it for good, besides that I'm just enjoying the area. Quite lovely if I say so myself, I'll be back at the ship momentarily." With that Lance cut off his communication and used his nose to find the salt water of the beach, behind the lion was something slithering on the ground, something he couldn't even detect. Without notice it bound both of the Lion's ankles tight, before he could protest his feet were swept from the ground and bound together now as his body hit the ground.

"Dammit, that hurt" Lance moaned in discomfort, when he looked behind himself he saw a Vamtyr, but it was in a different form. A large shelled creature with two massive claws where the wires came from, just as Lance was about to attack a jolt to electricity hit the lion hard and fast causing Lance to roar loud. The pain only lasted seconds, but it was enough to subdue the creature as Lance started to lose his vision, Lance gave a final roar hoping it would echo through the trees. His call for help was cut short when a new Vamtyr creature came out and struck the lion over the head with its claw causing the deep cup above his right eye. Lance growled at the pain, but his hands had already been bound with wires as he was quickly tied to a thick tree. When lion opened his eyes he could see what appeared to be an army of Vamtyr's slowly making their way to the beach, something overcame Lance in his soul. His eyes turned a shade of milky white and his body mass grew intensionally, enough for the lion to free himself from his bonds and stand up, claws extended and body ready. The lion jumped past some of the mechanical creatures and sprinted towards the beach faster than the Vamtyr's could travel.

"Lance, my sensors are detecting mass enemy movement near you. My master Brash'una has been informed of the threat....your wrist band detects a skin tare on your body, do you need to be warped from the area?" Adun spoke through the wrist band, the lion ignored the voice as he continued to find his way back to the beach.

Finally seeing the light of the sun reflect off the sand and the clear ocean come into view, Lance made a final jump and landed on the hot sand running on his hands and feet like his animal ancestors use to. His bleeding continued from his cut down the side of his face and onto the sand at his feet, some drops managed to catch on his shirt. Lance stopped and turned around, the creatures were coming faster than he though, and Lance didn't have enough time to get to the ship and warn the others. Again, he sucked in as much air as he could to let out a mighty roar. He would have to hold off as many as he could before help arrived, facing the mechanical army Lance charged the front lines knocking a few down in the process.

This little pit stop of Micheals was turning into quite the little excursion. He came to this planet alone, but now he was well on his way to forming his own crew. First was that Lorely girl, the Okryuu, who was surprisingly bold, then Martel showed up, next the lion man Lance and Ash'tar Brash'una. Sure it was kind of a misfit crew, but hell, far be it for Micheal to complain about it.

Brash'una had expressed quite and interest in the ship, so Micheal lead him around and explained to him what was wrong and what needed to be fixed before it was ready to go. It was shortly after Micheal finished he heard Brash'una calling out to Lance, who was clearly no where near them. Micheal looked back to see Brash'una speaking into a some kind of bracelet on his wrist.

It seemed that Lance had wanderd off some where which probably wasn't the best idea, but he sounded like he was well enough. He said he was on his way back, so Micheal didn't give it another thought. It was only a few minutes later that there was another reaction from the bracelet and an unfamilar, some what inhuman sounding voice came back over. The voice beaconed that Lance was in danger. More Vamtyr.

Brash'una turned and immediatly ran, Micheal followed suit and ran with him. Brash'una looked back "Don't get in the way human!"

Micheal wasn't that thrilled with the tone in his voice, but he had a hard time arguing with him over it. Lance and Brash'una were physically on a whole other level and there was no way he could even match up on his own. Micheal opted to simply say nothing. He just drew his hand gun and loaded a 50.caliber clip.

As the two reached the air lock door they heard a thunderous roar, it was obviously Lance calling out. Brash'una jumped down to the beach, nearly twenty feet down onto the sand. Micheal had to climb his way down and as such was left behind by Brash'una. Micheal jumped down once he was about half way down. He quickly ran around the front of the ship and could see Brash'una running off in the distance. Micheal could just make out what looked like more of those damn metal heads in the distance.

Even though she had no weapons and she couldn't be any help, Loreley ran towards the roar. She should have thought things through though, for it was about to turn into a deadly mistake.

Loreley watched as Michael and the others helped Lance fight off the vamtyrs. She was so busy watching however, that she didn't hear the vamtyr sneaking up to her. Suddenly, it let out a metallic shriek. Loreley turned around and stared in horror. She had seen vamtyrs, but this one was like none she had ever seen before. It was more like a scorpion and even had a stinger-like tentacle on the back. It raised this up in the air and she started to run. Suddenly, an acidic substance shot out from the stinger. If it weren't for the clothes that Martel had given her, she would have most likey have been dead. However, it started to quickly eat through the clothes as Loreley fell to the ground.

Suddenly, a strange girl ran up to Loreley and started helping her out of the dissolving clothes quickly.

Elie took out the knife she was carrying with and started cutting through the dissolving clothes.

"Stop moving....If I don't get these off, you'll burn.."

The shirt tore free and before Elie knew it the Scorpion went to strike, it just clipped Elie in the bare shoulder in mid-roll. She threw the knife at Lorely.

"There, use it."

She pulled the red coat from her belt she had clipped it on earlier and set it to the ground. The Vamtyr came at her again, but she had already drawn the two handguns she had. She fired off, most missed and the ones that hit the thing didn't hit any serious points to very little damage to the creature. She hit the release mechanism as the empty bullet clips hit the ground and she reached on her belt for extra ammo. Too late, the Vamtyr's stinger had whipped Elie across the ground, then she rolled into the bottom of a tree. She looked up, wiping a small stream of blood from her right eye. She groggily reached across her belt as if she didn't know where it was to look for a new clip. Found it. She loaded it into the gun just in time to blindly pull the gun up and fire into the Vamtyr's eye as it staggered back and she got onto her feel and started running back to Loreley's position. She was breathing heavy and the wound above her eye had reopened and she wiped blood on the back of her hand again.

Her vision was beginning to get blurry and she started to wobble slightly. She brought up the gun again fireing three times, the first shot went into the already made hole in its eye. The second, bounced off its metallic armor. The third, went into its other eye and it reared back lashing out with the stinger blindly. Elie sighed. Taking a clean shot, it went through the beast's neck. She then fell down onto the red coat of hers that was on the ground. Conscious was waining and she soon faded into oblivion.

Lance rolled on th ground after being knocked down by one of the Vamtyr's claws, shaking his head to keep himself awake the lion looked up to see he was about to be smashed into the ground by the mechanical claw. The lion barely made it out of the way as the wave of sand exploded in the air after impact, Lance got to his feet and jumped on the mechanical crabs back, slashing the metal to shreds until he got to the core wires. Lance sunk his head inside the beast and ripped the wires out with his teeth, sparks of electricity flew in the air and shocked the lion a little but th job was done, the Vamtyr was disabled. The large crab fell on its belly as Lance slid off the shell and back onto the beach, his ears picked up some noise that was close to him. The lion turned his head to see Micheal give cover to Brash'una by firing his weapon at the mechanical scorpion. Brash'una moved swiftly through creatures striking claws and used his psionic energy to form daggers from his hands and struck the monster with one fell swoop, more seemed to come from the forest, about another dozen Vamtry's big and small.

"Are you alright big guy?" Micheal asked, he saw the wound above Lance's right eye was still bleeding, the cut was deep from his encounter in the jungle.

"Nothing too serious to worry about, I'm just glad I'm not alone with these things. I think this is the last bunch of them though." Lance took a knee to catch his breath. Brash'una noticed the mechanical creatures were coming fast now, like they were in a haste.

"Do you believe the signal from the one you destroyed earlier wasn't for outer space, but for another cologne here?"

"Possibly, I'm not sure how they do it but I know Nightshade is crawling with them." Lance got to his feet again with the aid of Micheal, Brash'una went to intercept the Vamtyr's. Micheal reloaded his gun quickly before following behind, Lance was about to join the duo until he noticed a scorpion Vamtyr attacking something. The lion thought to get rid of it quickly since it was one of the large more powerful monsters, rushing over to the area he saw that it was taken down by some gunfire. After making it over the sand dune Lance saw a female on the ground in red, another who's clothing was ripped off...seemed to be burnt somewhat. Lance was careful to approach the scorpion, but realized it was out of order with the damage done to it, Lance went over to the female quickly. She was injured badly, the naked girl dove on top of the woman in red with her knife ready to strike.

"Who are you?" The small girl asked, her marking on her body reminded Lance of his tribal training back home. Lance took off his shirt and placed it over the girls body so she would have something to cover herself, his short sagged a lot on the child but at least it kept her covered.

"Lance is my name little one, we must get you and this woman out of the area. There is danger here" Lance scooped up the woman in his arms and used his tail to wrap around th girls waist and lifted her in th air when he stood on his feet again. Lance's tail moved the child onto his shoulders, the girl held onto Lance's head grabbing his ears and hair for a grip and her legs hung over his meaty shoulders. His tail still held the child by the waist, Lance looked down and noticed the woman in red was bleeding on him.

"We should go back now, Loreley is my name big kitty" The girl tugged on Lance's ears more, causing the lion to growl slightly. Without hesitation Lance ran as fast as he could over the sand dune and traveled back to the ship, he saw that Micheal and Brash'una were finishing off another Vamtyr, the others started to retreat back to the jungle. The cost was clear and Lance walked towards the others.

"Who is she? Haven't seen her before" Micheal stated as he reloaded his gun again, rubbing the back of his neck after stretching. Micheal then looked up on Lance's head and noticed the marked girl on his shoulders continuing the pull on the lions ears.

"She would need some medical attention, let's make a quick run back to the ship. I don't believe we'll be safe here for long and the sun is starting to set" Brash'una spoke up, he was right to worry.

~Alutri Arrow, Equipment room~

Martel sat down on the bench in the equipment room, taking off the aluminum-covered nuclear hazard suit to reveal her sweat-covered form and damp clothing. Even though she was resisting a strong urge to go see the new arrivals, she stayed focused on what she was here for. They could get to know each other by docking the ships together once in orbit of the planet, but for now at least somebody had to focus on getting off the cursed planet before they were attacked again. Unaware that a gunfight was going on outside, and the hatch of her ship closed so the vamtyrs could not sneak in, she had loaded all four of the replacement fuel rods she had into Michael?s ship and verified that the reactor would reach operating temperature, with enough power capacity to get the ship into orbit.

Once she was back to her normal clothes- sticky with sweat but still decent, she made her way to the bridge of the arrow. The servos on her leg brace whined softly, her legs moving faster than the servos were as the battery that powered them became run down.

Looking outside, she saw the group of her companions making a hasty retreat to the cluster of available ships, several of them wounded. Picking up the microphone and switching to PA mode, she said on an outside loudspeaker ?KN1-001 Alutri Arrow ready for bubble-purge and liftoff, Michael your ship is also in a similar status. I think our best bet is to get the heck out of here, and regroup in high orbit where we stand a better chance against the vamtyrs. I'll hold the docking rings together as long as i can, if need be I can grapple your ship to 'boost' it with mine and get you clear.?

Pulling down the gun sight- which made the forward machine gun slide out of it?s port in the nose section, she drew careful beads and dispatched more of the Vamtyrs which had begun to pursue the retreating column.

They would have to get their ships airborne and soon, if the land-based creatures began to attach themselves to the hulls they would destroy any hope of using the Arrow and the other ships to escape.

?I can take three people on the arrow, if we don?t have room on the other ships, be careful when approaching mine I am beginning the bubble-purge.? Came her voice, crackling over the PA system again. Inside she could be seen operating the switches on the control boards, and from the water around her ship bubbles began to rise up as supercritial helium from the main drive was forced through the submerged thruster cones to dry and preheat them so that the ship could force itself off of the water. ?Quickly! We need to be get out of the atmosphere before the vamtyrs send in an air-attack force. They have been known to destroy ships that had landed but tried to escape using an aerial version of their fighters, and if we don?t make the stratosphere before that happens we?ll be killed for sure!?

Before Martel's takeoff.

They had been traveling a while during the night when Lee heard a loud screech come from ahead of them, her ears twitched.
"We have trouble ahead."
"Like what?"
"Vamtyrs."
She ran towards the sound and stopped as a large beast like Vamtyr looked down at her. She growled and rolled to the side as a large jet of what looked like a green liquid hit the ground and blinked as it began to sizzle. She looked up as it headed for Saiyori she let out a growl and charged at the beast grabbing onto the tail of the beast, she barked out as she was thrown into the nearby jungle to the left.
"Son of a bitch!"
She stood up and ran back towards the monster when it turned and snapped it's large claws at her.
"I've never seen one in my life, but this freakin thing looks like a damn scorpion!"
Saiyori looked at her and rolled as it swung around and almost hit her.
"We have to get out of it's line of sight!"
"Ya think?!"
Lee got it's attention as Saiyori ran into the jungle and soon Lee was behind her and laying on her back panting heavily.
"I have a feeling that your gonna be alot of trouble."
Saiyuri laughed and helped her up. Lee gave her a slight smile when she caught the scent of others.
"Smells like there are others of your knd around here as well."
"More humans."
"well I don't think we're siblings do you?"
"Which way did they go?"
"Follow me."
She led the way till she came out of the others side and saw a large ship.
"Well well, looks like we found some survivors."
Lee walked around the ship and up at it.
"Anyone there?!"
She blinked as a large man with a mane looked down at her.
"What do you want?"
"A shelter and perhapes some food."
He dissapered and left them to wait for an answer.

Micheal retreated into his ship along with Lorely, the new girl, and Okryuu who had happend to follow them back on board. Micheal enterd the bridge and got on the radio system "Copy that, Martel. Thanks for fixing the old girl up for me while we took care of the problem outside. All systems showing green. I going to boot up the ether drive engine and accent."

Martel came over the radio waves again "Copy. Who's with you?"

"I have a new girl, Lorely, and Okryuu with me here. Lance and Brash'una are taking the ship they arrived in and will be meeting up with us once we break the stratosphere."

The powerful engines droned and roared as they came back to life once again. The nose end boosters let out a small burst to tip the front of the ship skyward. with that Micheal leaned down on the rear thrusters and started to slowly lift the ship from the water and move slowly upward. The door to the bridge opend and in poked Lorely and Okryuu. Micheal looked to the both of them "Okryuu I'm gonna need a favor. This ship is too big for me to get it off the ground alone. I'm gonna need you to keep an eye on the stabilizers and engine out put. Can you do that for me?"

Okryuu nodded and ran to the chair just to the right of where Micheal was seated. Lorely spoke up "What about me?"

Micheal looked back at her. He wasn't sure what she could do, since she obviously didn't know much about the ship or how to fly it. Micheal pointed to the front of the bridge "Take the front gunnery seat. If any Vamtyr start coming at us, just line up out sights and open fire."

She nodded and ran up front and took her seat. Micheal turned to Okryuu "I need an increase of out put for engines 1 and 4 by 12%."

"Okay!"

Micheal kicked on the radio system "Martel, bunker onto my ship. I'm gonna make a jump to ether space and break the atmosphere."

There was radio silence for a moment. Then Martel finally responded after what seemed like forever, even though it was probably only a second or two "Are you crazy? If you take a jump inside the atmosphere and your calculations are even just a tiny bit off you could launch us straight to and through the moon."

Micheal responded "Yeah, I know, but we've already got those damn metal bastards closing in on us. If we don't jump now were not getting off this rock."

The radio went silent for another second "Okay, I'll prep myself. You better not get us killed!"

Micheal chuckled a bit and cut the radio. He looked back to Okryuu "Bring engine 5 to maximum output and bring all 4 remaining engines down to 25%."

The ship began to rattle violently. Micheal aligned the ship with a 30 degree incline as Martel came along side. Micheal took the controls into his hands and slamed the throttle down "God I hope this works."

OOC: I'm not quite used to people controlling other people's characters, while it is not much it is enough to affect my style and also make things more difficult to plan my next move. Some of it is alright, but could you try not to do that as much- even though it would mean shorter posts it would allow everyone more decision with regard to their character's plots. Also, if any of you have MSN, feel free to add me- my address is in my profile. It's one of my favorite ways to plan these scenes, so that we can agree on what will be said when.

~Alutri Arrow, Bridge~

The Arrow had slid forward to gain momentum as the main jet warmed up, then with an angry yellow and red flash the thrusters ignited, sending the ship clear of the waves. Pulling open the throttle, she began to ascend- looking back through the outside view cameras to see Michael struggling to get off the water.

“I still think this is insane. I’ve got 145% power available if I use the emergency override functions, while I hate to use it because it strains the parts it would be enough to get you above the flight ceiling of the Vamtyrs.” Martel radioed in as Michael entered pre-jump configuration, and actually began to lose the little bit of altitude he had managed to get on his own. She was frantically performing calculations using voice command on the bridge computer while flying- trying to find out if the ships would withstand the forces of such an attempt.

Pushing her controls all the way forward, the atmospheric scream began as she dove towards the struggling ship, then both hulls shuddered as her grappling hooks caught hold and the winches locked the hulls together.

“Belay the jump order! Neither ship will withstand the forces, nor do you have enough power to engage your slipstream coil!” She shouted, her calculations showing that the maneuver would be certain destruction for both ships.

“Kill your thrusters and put everything you have into the jet, I’ve got enough power to steer and keep us moving.” She flipped a few switches, and the emergency lights of the arrow engaged, similar red lights powering on the outside as a full red-alert condition was triggered. There was a shudder in both ships, as they began to accelerate faster, the arrow having grappled itself so that it was underneath Michael's ship in order to use the thrusters to push the ships into a steeper climb. Ideally, Martel would make the ship stand on the main jets, so that it could ascend at the maximum possible rate.

“115% Emergency power engaged! Core temperature rising fast but within maximum operating limits… Helium flow at maximum… Hold on tight folks, its gonna get a bit rough when I kick it up to 130%…”

The scream of the air over the nose almost rivaled the thundering of the jet below her, the hulls began to shake as they picked up speed. “Whatever you do, don’t pull a Hiroshima maneuver on me, we’ll all be goners if that happens.” She said out loud, though it was mostly to herself it registered on the radio. On the rear radar panel, signatures were visible as the Vamtyrs closed in by air. A faint clicking could be heard, the auto gunner on the rear had been activated and was attempting to hold them off.

Brash'una was holding on to the side of the ship as they were getting ready to break through the atmosphere. He could hear the runner from Martel's ship letting lose rounds as the faint sounds of Vamtyr were coming closer to the fleeing group. He felt the ship rock a little as a Vamtyr air unit swiped past them and the sounds the gunner followed, he then heard Martel over the PA system as they were still trying to get out of Nightsides grip.

"Their too fast, we can't keep up with them. We can only hope that we will make it out." Brash'una could feel a bit of a stab at his pride, even if she has no idea that Brash'una was proud of his ship, since it was faster then any ship in this system. He pulled out his wrist device from under his cloak and started taping buttons, the charm that Lance had given him was hanging from the device and swaying lightly. He tapped a button and was instantly warped onto Adun. He quickly went to the pilots seat and pressed the throttle forward as he moved his ship from the ground up into the air. He tapped a few panels and then began to project his voice to all the ships.

"I'll cover you from the Vamtyr. Their air units cannot match my speeds." He shot past Martel and Micheal and intentionally rammed one of the Vamtyr air units. They noticed him right away and instantly were on his tail, he pressed forward the throttle some more as he started to lead them away from the ship breaking through. He twisted and barrel rolled through the air as the Vamtyr tried to get a hold of him and tear his ship apart. He would occasionally let up on the throttle and let them catch up then rocket off again as they tried to follow him. He went down toward the ground in mid-flight, making a sharp nose dive toward the ground. He kept up his speed as the ground drew closer, when many would have thought it too late to turn around, he suddenly changed the ships direction and was flying upside down as he was flying back to Micheal and Martel.

One of the Vamtyr wasn't quick enough to changed directions and smashed into the ground into shrapnel and diced up the Vamtyr unit behind it. The other three managed to changed directions and continue their pursuit of Adun. When Brash'una's sensors warned him of their encroachment, he quickly flipped his ship over upright and pressed the throttle forward and pulled his ship back to loop around and go straight at the Vamtyr. He flew quickly to them, they thought they would soon have him and could assimilate his technology. Before Adun reached them, Brash'una folded in the wings and pressed the throttle at full speed. Going faster then these Vamtyr could compute, he left behind him a massive shock wave that shook the Vamtyr so much they halted in mid-air.

Brash'una made a sharp turn and went back into the Vamtyr, keeping his wings closed he used the beak of his ship to tear apart the Vamtyr at his extreme speeds by ramming them and splattering them into oblivion. Their pieces showered the ground and waters below as they tried to escape the destruction. Brash'una and Adun had no mercy for these creatures, none of the Vamtyr escaped after their brutal onslaught. Brash'una unfolded the wings and flew back to the ships trying to break orbit, he flew beside Martel and Micheal. Getting through the gravity along side them and spoke monetarily through his system.

"The Vamtyr have been eliminated, they will probably send more if we do not hurry up. I will dock my ship in Micheal's when we finally break through." Brash'una pressed his controls forward as he was trying to maintain a speed that could break through without leaving them behind, you never know if more Vamtyr showed up or if Micheal's ship failed to make it on it own he would have to help out in some way. Lance had warped aboard while they cruised besides the two man made ships, he was watching carefully with his sharp eyes to make sure no one snuck up on them.

Loreley breathed a sigh of relief as she left the gunner seat. Thanks to Brash'una she didn't have to do much shooting. Soon they would all need to meet to discuss their plans. Loreley knew the question must all be on their minds of where to go now, and only she could answer it. She went to go look for Okryuu.

Soon, she found him. She had taken the shirt that Lance had given her and made some changes to it, since he would not take it back when she offered. Now it looked more like an open jacket.
"Hi Okryuu. I brought you another drink." Loreley said smiling.
He took the milk and drank it. Then he followed her into one of the private cabins to continue what was interrupted earlier.

However, a couple of minutes later Loreley stopped Okryuu.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"The robots aren't running right now since other parts of the ship need power. So we will need to wait. But I can save some of your seed for later like I said I would need to."
"Sure. That's fine with me." Okryuu said as he smiled and stood up.

Later, Elie walked through the halls and opened one of the doors. She saw Okryuu and Loreley, and Loreley was holding a jar full of some kind of off-white substance in front of Okryuu's naked crotch. She almost walked out and shut the door behind her, but Loreley stopped her.
"Wait, Elie. You can stay. I could use your help anyways." She said.
Elie walked back into the room.
"How can I help?" Elie asked.
"Just finish what I'm doing here. I need to go find a room that we can use for the children."
Loreley demonstrated how to get Okryuu's seed into the jar and left the room.
"I will be back soon." Loreley said, as she walked out of the room.

When she came back to the room, Loreley saw that Elie had no trouble with the job that she was given. Elie was as nude as Loreley was, and Loreley could see why. Elie was covered almost everywhere in Okryuu's seed. From head to toe, it was everywhere. Loreley giggled.
"It looks like you guys have been busy. And you got a lot of jars filled too. I'll take over now if that's okay."
Eli nodded and sat down on a chair as Okryuu and Loreley started having sex again. After they were done, she found out what Loreley wanted her to do. She had to deliver the baby when they were done.
When Elie got back, the cycle continued. She sat down and watched as they had sex in front of her. Then she delivered the baby. This happened so many times that Eli lost count. Then, she watched them have sex one last time and Loreley decided that they were done for now.
"Let's go wash our clothes and shower. Then we need to meet up with everyone else and let them know what we need to do."
Okryuu and Elie followed Loreley out of the cabins and into the showers. Loreley and Elie shared a shower but Okryuu showered alone. Then Loreley set their clothes to start cleaning.
"Okay, we'd better go meet up with the others. Our clothes won't be finished for a very long time."

Loreley had Michael gather all of the others. Elie and Okryuu stood as naked as she was, the only difference was they seemed to be blushing and she wasn't.
"Well, as you guys know we need a destination. I think I have one." Loreley said, looking at all of them. They all seemed to be surprised at her news.
"Well, as the ancient verse that I was taught as a child goes:
To destroy those who would vanquish thee
You must find the kingdoms three
The first of these you will find among the stars
That brilliant, brilliant sapphire, Mars
So I think we need to visit Mars. That might be where we can finally start to figure out how to stop the Vamtyrs once and for all. This will be dangerous, so you do not need to join us if you do not want to. But if you don't, then you will have to fight the vamtyr's for the rest of your lives. I don't know about you, but I don't want to live like that. So who will join us?"

OOC: Okay guys, we have a destination now. We can always make stops along the way to Mars. I just wanted to get the story moving a little bit.

Nefertimon, I'm sorry for moving this ahead. If you can, just make a long post explaining how you met us and how you left your grandfather. Or if that won't work, PM me and we will talk about it.

Lance didn't take his eyes off the main viewing screen or the little holographic screens that showed the space that surrounded the ships, his eyes could spot any movement in the cold environment better than any human or computer sensor could. Brash'una made some adjustments in the pilot's seat, working with Adun on getting close enough to the other ships for when they transport over there to meet up. Lance's tail swished from side to side on the metal floor, after leaving the atmosphere of Nightshade the ships were left adrift until they could think of an idea. The lion had hopped they would find their answers on Nightshade, that's why he left Jupiter in such a hurry with Brah'una.

"What do you think Lance? A bunch of humans trying to find a solution to the very problem you have, this could be some a coincidence or just luck" Brash'una spoke up, never taking his eyes off his computer console. The lion sighed as he lowered his head a little as he rubbed his eyes, staring off to space for long period of time wore him out. Then the lion felt the sting of his cut he got from that Vamtyr, he completely forgot about it until he touched the area.

"Your mostly driven by the knowledge you're getting by learning from their actions and technology" Lance smiled, Brash'una gave a mental chuckle as he looked behind himself to see Lance take a seat at his chair, the little holographic screens followed the lion to his spot.

"Mostly yes, but these Vamtyr's are worthy opponents. Worthy, but very deadly and must be taken care of quickly before they take care of us" Brash'una finished his work and turned himself around in his chair to face the lion. "Adun, heal Lance's wound before we leave for the other ship" A small red light scanned the lion until it found his cut about his right eye, the spot started to heat up and sting a little but within seconds Lance's cut disappeared and the pain was gone. The lion was astonished, but his questions about the treatment would have to wait until they came back from the other ships. Both Brash'una and Lance got up from their seats and were warped to Micheal's ship, they were in an empty corridor that was dimly lit by the small floor lights. "I'll go try to find the captain, I'm sure we're all wondering where we're going to head next" With that Brash'una walked away, Lance dediced to explore the ship more since he didn't get to much last time, he ran into the child he saved earlier. She looked up at the lion.

"Would you like this back now?" Loreley asked as she began to undress from his shirt, Lance quickly stopped her.

"No please, just keep it. Seeing a female naked isn't something I'm use to and its not something I'm really comfortable with" Lance said, Loreley was puzzled.

"Why?"

"Never you mind child, on my world when you see a female naked it means you're ready to mate. But its not at your age so we'll leave it at that" Lance walked away from the child, a little angry but he tried to calm himself. After a while everyone met back on the bridge of the ship to discuss their future plans, the child mentioned something to the crew:

"Well, as the ancient verse that I was taught as a child goes:
To destroy those who would vanquish thee
You must find the kingdoms three
The first of these you will find among the stars
That brilliant, brilliant sapphire, Mars
So I think we need to visit Mars. That might be where we can finally start to figure out how to stop the Vamtyrs once and for all. This will be dangerous, so you do not need to join us if you do not want to. But if you don't, then you will have to fight the vamtyr's for the rest of your lives. I don't know about you, but I don't want to live like that. So who will join us?"

"Three Kingdoms?" Lance whispered to himself, he didn't think destroying the Vamtyr's would require such efforts from three different locations. Lance let out a low growl of anger and disappointment, his home planet was on a thin time limit and now this new wasn't any better.

"So Mars is the stop then, alright. We'll leave after getting everything is taken for account and when everyone is prepared to go. We'll keep radio silence until we leave, that clear?" Micheal looked around, everyone agreed.

"Just one more question" Lance spoke up. his anger was starting to show as his growling vibrated a little "Are you positive it's Mars, do you steak you life on it?" The others looked at Lance puzzled, Loreley nodded her head without hesitation. Brash'una looked as the lion hybrid excuse himself from the group for a moment.

OOC: Starwind, care to give Michael?s ship a name to use, it is getting a bit awkward having to call it ?Michael?s ship? all the time.
__________________________________________________________________

~ High Nightshade Orbit~
?Michael, I?m releasing the grappling hooks, ready your docking ring so we can dock our ships and converse in-person.? Came Martel?s voice over a small radio on Michael?s belt ?Those four rods I gave you are enough to power your life support functions and move around in free-space, but calculations show that you still don?t have enough power for slipstream. It may be possible for you to ride tandem and rely on my slipstream coil, I have my ship?s computer calculating if that is possible or not at this very moment. Our other option is to go to a warehouse in the lunar orbits and obtain replacements for your other fuel rods- while the rods I didn?t replace are still hot enough to function they are weak and won?t last long. ?

The two ships had made a stable high orbit, the Arrow having used 130% emergency power to make up for the lack of power from Michael?s ship. Fortunately Martel did not have to go all the way to 145%, or they would have been risking damage to the arrow?s reactor core.

There was a banging against the hulls as the grappling hooks released and retracted, then a slight thump as the arrow?s docking ring bumped against the rings on michael?s ship, locking together before the airlocks could equalize pressure and open.

Soon Martel came sliding through the docking rings, despite her body type she flew with the grace of an angel through her ship?s gravity-less docking ring, and landed perfectly when she hit the gravity on board Michael?s ship. Her outfit had changed, instead of the grey t-shirt and jeans she was wearing earlier she now has a black tank top and black pants.

She found Michael and the others just in time for them to be discussing Mars as their next stop, and told them how with only four rods in the reactor they likely would not have enough power for slipstream, and suggested making a quick stop at a supply station in the lunar orbit cluster so that the ships could refuel and resupply, also Lorely and the new girl could get some properly fitting clothes.

There was a clicking sound on the hull, and Martel keyed the remote for her ship, the magnetic shielding activating to enclose both the arrow and Michael?s ship protecting them from the micrometeorites. Soon it had gathered a fair-sized cloud of space debris that were captured by the magnetic field.

Lee walked along the deck of one of the ships she had boarded, not sure of the name of capian of it either. She sniffed here and there till she found the kitchen and looked around. She saw a small loaf of bread on the counter and a hunk of salted pork sitting next to it. She licked her lips as her mouth watered. It had been a long time since she had eaten something that wasn't out of a can.
"I wounder if there are rules about eatting this stuff."
She picked up a scent that made her eyes water and turned seeing a young man walking down into the kitchen as well.
"Who are you?"
"Not a stowaway I can assure you, my travleing partner and I came across the ship and hopped aboard to get away from the metal heads...you smell horrible, do you know that?"
He blushed slightly.
"I have no idea what your talking about, I just washed."
"Yes, but a females scent can last for more than a simple shower. And you smell like two...Are there any rules about the food here?"
"What do you mean?"
"Does one eat before another or is it first come first served?"
"Not sure, I think it's if your hungry, eat."
She blinked not really sure what to make of that but sliced off two slices of bread and a large piece of the pork and made a sandwich.
"You have a good sense of smell, like Lance, are you a hybrid like he is?"
"Hybrid? I suppose you could say that, I'm more of a genetic research project. I'm enhanced with wolves DNA."
"So you are kinda like a hybrid."
She shrugged and looked at the young man and then back at her sandwich taking another bite she made her way to the deck and looked around listening to the other conversations that were floating around her. She was relaxed for the first time in a while.

Man, oh man, this was way over Micheal's head, but he was not about to let anyone on board the ship know that. He clasped his two hands together and jutted his forefinger and middle finger straight out on both hands and brought it up to his face. He sat there and thought for a moment, trying to get a grasp on the situation. It seemed some people were not that thrilled with the idea of going to Mars, but it was still there best lead. Micheal rose from the captains chair "I'll be setting a course to Mars. Martel if you wouldn't mind using your ship to give us a hand til we can properly power this ship."

She nodded and her and Micheal made there way off the bridge. While leaving Micheal turned back "Oh yes. Lance and Brash'una." They both turned to face Micheal "I'd like to speak with both of you later, if you don't mind? I'll see you in my quarters in about an hour."

The two looked and nodded to him as he and Martel made there way out. Micheal and Martel walked down the main corridor in the direction of the docking bay "Thanks for all your help back there. We would've been fried if you hadn't bailed us out."

Martel bowed her head lightly "Really, it was nothing. Just trying to help out my new friends."

Micheal smiled as they enterd the almost cavernous supply bay "Be that as it may, I still offer my gratitude for all you've done and all you might do for us."

Micheal looked into the vast, empty, and some what dark space "You know it was only by chance that I even landed on Nightside. If I hadn't run out of energy and had no other choice I would have spent the rest of my life avoiding it. I don't know if that's cowardly of me or not, but I've always feared returning to my birthplace for some reason."

Martel just looked at him oddly for a moment "What brought this on? Your suddenly confiding in me."

Micheal laughed "I'm not sure. It's just that..."

He trailed off and he feel back into thought. This probably wasn't the best time to just come out in the open. There was already so much going on for everyone. Did he really need to just put more crap out there for everyone. He looked to Martel again "It's that girl, Loreley. Something about her just set me off. From the first time I saw her on that shore line. There was something different about her. You know, beside the fact that she was naked."

Martel laughed a little bit "Is that all your worried about?"

Micheal just smiled and shook his head "Yeah, it's kinda stupid isn't. Alright, back to the matter at hand. Like I said, I appreciate your help, but we can't rely on your slipstream forever. This is a big ship and hauling it around is gonna start to take it's affect. We're gonna have to find a way to charge this baby up to full some where along the way."

Martel sighed and looked up to the ceiling "Do you know of any good stations along the war where we might be able to get ahold of at least 10 more fuel rods?"

Micheal shook his head "Not on the way to Mars. At least none I'd be welcomed at. I haven't done the best job of making friends in my life. Starting come back and bite me in the ass now."

Martel sighed "Well, I guess we could just head a course and hit the first station we find. It's better than nothing, right?"

Micheal sighed "Worth a shot I guess."

The two nodded to each other and left the supply bay. Martel headed off on her own and Micheal did the same. On his way down the corridor he saw a girl he did't recognize wandering about. This wasn't too much of a shock since he had gone from crew of one to crew of many in only a few hours, but still. Putting this out of his mind for the moment he made his way back to his own quarters for a little peace and quiet until Lance and Brash'una came to see him.

OOC: OK GUYS, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. STOP CONTROLLING MARTEL WITHOUT MY PERMISSION; YOU HAVE HER WAY OUT OF CHARACTER. FROM NOW ON, PM OR IM ME BEFORE DOING ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES AN ACTION OR RESPONSE FROM MARTEL.
And seriously, am I the only one who actually reads these posts before writing my next one? Starwind, if you had read my last post you would have noticed Martel had already said she could go to a supply station in the lunar cluster and get the remaining rods to repair michael's ship. Even if she didn’t mention that before, she would know where to get parts for ships because she fixes them for a living.

Sorry for the glaringly huge OOC note/rant, but it’s been bothering me for the past few posts. I was always taught you never controlled another’s character without permission.

“That bad? And you know, this isn’t usually free. I do have to earn my bread somehow, I’m just being generous at the moment because I had a good bit of luck this morning.Sadly Fuel rods aren't cheap, while I'll give you the labor for putting htem in I still have to cover the material costs."

~Alutri Arrow, bridge~

Martel had returned to the bridge of her ship, telling Loreley and the new girl as she passed that they were welcome to use the two empty cabins onboard the arrow if they didn’t have somewhere to stay. The autopilot was on, and the grappling hooks were bracing the two ships together so that the docking rings would not be overly stressed as she pounded away on her computer’s keyboard, making the calculations needed to use the arrow’s slipstream to move both itself and Michael’s ship. From below the steady humming of her ship in cruising mode sounded, the main jet ticking over to keep them moving towards Mars.

Looking out the forward window, she realized something The course we have set to get to mars is going to take us past Einstein station anyway. If Michael pays me for the rods I already put in, I can take the arrow and retrieve the others, catching up to them on their way to mars.

She leaned back in her chair, looking out at the stars. A small cable ran from the controls down to her leg near the ankle, it moved with her as she put one leg on top of the other and reclined, the computer keyboard balanced on her lap as she continued calculating the power factors needed to make the slipstream field to carry the Arrow and Michael’s ship out to mars.

Somehow though she felt as though she was tying herself down too much- her ship was a long-range cargo prototype, not a barge tug, and she had been a free person since she left the station, bound in her travels only by the capacity of the Arrow to get her there. Now that she had the slipstream, she could travel farther and faster, maybe even reaching other solar systems that might be inhabited.

A sigh was heard above the humming machinery, as she thought about what course to take next, the Arrow still powering itself and the people she met towards their next stop.

OOC: So.....let's get back to this RPG and ignore the rantings of the character obsessed chick.

News about the mission to Mars shook everyone differently, some emotions were hidden while others were shown with negative results. After the other crew members departed from the bridge, Micheal requested to have a conference with Brash'una and Lance as they were trying to leave.

"I'd like to speak with both of you later, if you don't mind? I'll see you in my quarters in about an hour." Both creatures looked at one another then nodded back to Micheal before walking down the corridor, they could hear more talking echo behind them as they made their way towards the kitchen. Brash'una stopped momentarily when they were far enough to be left alone, Lance stopped a little further after he noticed his ally wasn't walking anymore.

"Is there something on your mind?" Lance questioned.

"Will you be alright Lance? Things seem to be progressing but I'm not sure how you'll react to a situation where more than information lies on the line."

"What do you mean? I think things through carefully before I taken any course of action and wouldn't risk the lives of my friends. I did my best to warn you guys when those Vamtyr were about to execute their ambush on you guys at the beach. What more do you need to know?" Lance was a bit caught off guard and upset at the question, though he hasn't know his traveling companion for long it was such a random question.

"If things are to get hectic and out of control, we may be separated in the long run at any time. I know you're a survivor and true to your word, but I just wanted to know your position. We have more people on our side, so it seems, but we have to stick to the main objective to rid ourselves of these vermin. I'm going to head back to the ship and rest for a moment, we have an hour before our meeting. We'll meet back on this ships bridge then" Bash'una tapped at the wrist band on his arm, instantly he was warped out of sight, leaving Lance in the lightly lit corridor alone. The lion thought for a moment about Mars, from what he heard when he was growing up it was the second planet within the inner ring that was conquered by the Vamtyr without a fight. Lance turned back around and continued to walk, there was a door with a bright light coming out from the opening, Lance's ears could hear some faint noises coming from the room. The lion hybrid slowly entered, seeing a human male conversing with a girl he had seen before when they were on the beach, but having a closer look at her lance noticed she was different like he was. A hybrid herself, but mixed with a different animal he had never seen before.

"Hey Lance, thanks for the warning about the Vamtyr's on the beach, we would have been goners if you hadn't found them" Okryuu said as he walked in front of the tall lion, Lance extended his hand towards the human. He had seen him before when they first got to the ship, but he left moments later.

"Okryuu, I didn't realize you came back from your little trip during the whole fight. What timing." The human placed his hand in the air, obviously Lance's meaty hand overpowered and completely covered the human hand and wrist. Lance noticed the hybrid behind the human finished eating her meal that was on the counter, both looked at one another for a long time before anything else was said. "You would be?"

"Lee is my name" The wolf hybrid shook hands with Lance, more than that they both walked in a circle sniffing one another like dogs would do. "Your scent is strong, and a bit dirty. I can smell metal and blood mixed in."

"You call me dirty? You've been in the jungle for a while, thats for sure" Lance stood tall once again looking down at the two, his nose still sniffed the air as a weird scent crossed his path. "But what's this other smell?"

"That would be him, the scent of a female lingers on him still." Lee giggled a little, Lance blushed at the thought. Okryuu smiled a little as he scratched the back of his head, the three conversed and grabbed a bite to eat in the process. Lance's back pocket vibrated a little, the small computer he brought along had a message from his friend at the Lemur Space Station. Lance took out the small pad seeing the screen light up, his friend Zacke appeared on the screen.

"...Lance, I hope you get this my friend because the Lion Court cannot help you any further. Since your escape with that being the Vamtyr have been asking about your connection with him. The Lion Court has no idea who he is and nor do we, because of this we cannot extend our protection any longer Lance. They have ordered for your termination, the Lion Court cannot do anything else. Be careful my friend, you and your friend have been identified by the Vamtyr and you're being hunted. Please, take care and stay safe Lance. We know you'll come through..." The transmission ended, everyone in the kitchen fell silent after hearing the warning message from the other lion hybrid.

"Whoa, that big Lance. Brash'una and yourself got a bounty on your heads ordered by the Vamtyr" Okryuu broke the silence between the three.

"Don't worry, you guys will be safe with this lively bunch. We have enough ammo and strength to whip all these metal heads." Lee took another bite of her bread, Lance simple sighed to himself thinking about their next move to make.

After Brash'una had warped back to Adun he casually strolled his ship, looking through consuls and making sure that all the systems were in check. He did this out of habit now since Adun had quickly become aware of all the systems circulating through his ship and was monitoring them on his own. This development of Adun was pleasant for Brash'una since it no longer required him to use his psionic energy to control systems he could reach or get to in time. He could now use his energy to focus it on controlling the random abilities that seemed to come to him whenever situations such as the vamtyr encounter on Lemur Station. Ever since that he was trying to figure out how it was possible to cloak your entire body and still be able to move and execute and attack.

He would have to spend sometime on properly developing those abilities if ever wanted them to be of any use to him and this odd crew of people that had developed on Micheal's ship. Brash'una finished with his checks and then took a seat in cockpit chair and pressed a few buttons, just checking the screen for anything new. Soon enough he just leaned back in the chair and had Adun do the search for him. He asked him to bring up any new information that had been transmitted by any personnel about the vamtyr. Very quickly he found a transmission that had been sent to this very location. He tapped the signal and listened to the message intently.

When he had heard of the Vamtyr marking him and Lance he simply sighed as he ended the tap and pressed a few buttons to have the three tubes lower from the ceiling to Brash'una, they connect themselves to the back of his skull and began their routine nourishment distribution and waste removal. He rose form his chair and began walking to the back of the ship, he reached the back and tapped a few holographic buttons that made the wall separate and then pushed forward a sleeping chamber that was formed to the body of an Ash'Tar. More specifically to the unique body type of Brash'una.

He tapped the screen on the front of the chamber and it opened with a loud hiss, the chamber opened slowly and showed where it would allow him to sleep. He rolled his shoulders as he stepped into the chamber and placed his back against the cushion that was formed to his body. He sank in and relaxed himself, he spoke through the connection to Adun.

"In one hour, warp me to the quarters of Micheal. Make sure Lance gets there on time as well, make sure to send him a message when the hour is up."

"Yes sir." Was all Adun said before the chamber closed and Brash'una closed his eyes and entered his form of sleeping, which was a deep meditation. In this state, he could more easily connect with his psionic energy and then begin to craft it and see how he could use it to protect himself and anyone that needed it. The first thing he began on was dissecting the invisibility ability he had uncovered in the fight The ability proved to be more difficult to break down and master in his meditated state. But, he discovered that his armor was more then just armor. It was an essential part to focusing his pisonic energy for creating the full cloak, shields for the body and whatever else could be thought of with the right amount of psionic energy.

But soon enough, he found that his hour was up and he was waken from his slumber. He left the chamber with some new abilities under his belt that had proven to be difficult to master, but none the less exciting to be able to use and have. He stepped into the circle in the middle of the ship was was warped out of his ship and into a chair in Micheal's room. He gave Micheal a start as he sat quietly in his quarters.

"Sorry to frighten you, I was catching up on some rest and finding out some new things for myself. Lance will be here momentarily." Just as he finished the sentence, Lance stepped into Micheal's room and took a seat next to Brash'una. They both looked to the ships captain. Lance spoke first to him.

"So what is it that you want from us?" Micheal took a deep breath as he relaxed and then stood form his sitting position and was about to reveal to him and Lance of what he wanted with them.

OOC: Character obsessed hmm? Perhaps it is because she was being thrown so far out of character it was no fun for me that you guys got the rant you did. Also, the last few paragraphs of this post were arranged with Lilt by IM.
______________________________________________________________________

~Alutri Arrow, Bridge~
Martel leaned back in her chair to watch the stars move as their ships passed through space, the autopilot managing the ships.

Even with Michael’s ship docked, all was quiet, though that quiet was a relative term with the whining of the turbine echoing up the ventilation system from the drive compartment. She had shut down the main jet, it uses up too much helium, and really was waiting for the signal to attempt to slipstream.

Suddenly an alarm began sounding, and like an avalanche the indicators turned red as the malfunction and it’s resultant overloading pattern spread.

Jolting back to reality from her meditation, she soon was skillfully operating the control switches to stop the fault condition from affecting the whole ship. In the ship behind her, the main lights were replaced with the red emergency lights, and there was a metallic thud that sent a shudder through both ships as the emergency shutdown rods were slammed into the core. Of course, it would remain hot for some hours so she would still have plenty of ship power, but the engines were offline until the fault was corrected.

Goddamit! I knew pushing my luck using the emergency override to get off of a planet. Martel shouted over the blaring sirens on the Arrow. Fortunately the fault condition was easy to isolate, just an overpressure condition in one of the condenser shells that got rid of the extra reactor heat. It really only needed to cool down for a bit before it would reset, as long as nothing burst from the pressure.

Sadly fate was not with her today, even though she had completely isolated the fault and shut off the feed to that panel so it could cool off it was already too much for it.

There was a resounding bang and another shudder- shaking both ships, as the alarms again began to blare though the fault did not spread further.

Outside the ship, one of the outer condenser plates that made up the back half of the hull had been blown off by the steam pressure, and been captured by her magnetic shield. Small wisps of ice could be seen escaping from it, as the remaining water sublimated out of the frost that had been thrown down when it burst.

“This is what I get for helping people. I’ma become a selfish bitch and never be generous again!” She shouted, banging her fist on the side portal she was near when she caught sight of the panel that had blown off while making her way back to the equipment room to suit up so she could inspect the core. Changing her plans, she returned to the bridge and reconnected her still charging leg brace, then cleared the fault condition with the bad condenser disabled and reset the autopilot.

Checking the computer, she brought up a station map. Bringing it to her current position, she noticed that one of her favorite stations- Deep Heaven, was only a few minutes away.

“Michael, Loreley, sorry but we are going to Deep Heaven station. I’ve got a malfunction over here, using the emergency power strained it like I knew it would and sure enough something broke. I don’t exactly want to leave you in free space when you haven’t paid for the fuel rods yet and also don’t have enough power of your own.” She said over the radio, which was relayed over the entire ship Michael and the others

The thunder of the main jet soon started again, and with a hissing and trembling of the thrusters the two ships changed course, headed for the station that looked like a city in the sky.

Lee had been sleeping curled up on the deck, in the ropes that were bundled up to tie off the ship with when it docked. She reached out and scraped her nails along the deck and yawned loudly, a small whine coming from her as she did so. She looked up and around as the ship turned course and into a small port.
"Where the hell are we going?"
"No idea."
She jumped slightly and looked up at the Okryuu and blinked.
"Where did you come from?"
"Been here for a while, you mumble in your sleep, were you chasing a cat?"
She growled.
"I'm a wolf not a dog. Get it straight."
She stood up and leaned against the railing next to him and looked up.
"So what are we doing on here anyway?"
"No idea, I'm just going with it."
She nodded and yawned again, she lay back down and curled up in the bundled ropes and began to rest again.

OOC: Holy crap, sorry I'm so late in the game I promise I'll make up for it...

Mat-tsu stood looking deep into the night sky seeing a particularly bright star gleaming. As he glared at it he suddenly got a feeling a dread as if death was grasping him by the throat seconds away from dealing him his final breath he had this feeling before on the terrible day his parents were killed he remembered as the vamtyr with its evil crimson eyes unleashed a liquid stream of fire blasting him out the initial path and scorching his mother and father. He shock the thoughts of the flash-back out of his mind and with a display a agility and expertise, he slashed a creeping vamtyr's robotic head clean off.

".....I can't keep doing this, just killing one after another...I want the leader...the biggest fish in the pond...that's who I want...", he said this vaguly as if he didn't really want to end this, this eternal fighting with enemies whom he hates with every cell in his body. He continued on when spotting a few vamtyr's machanical bodies in ruin.

"I must of just missed who was ever her because I can smell gas and a faint scent of blood", he walked again strangly noticing that same star as if it were calling to him.

"What a weird feeling, it's as if it is calling me, demanding that I go to it", he thought to himself. He suddenly started to run feeling drawn to something up ahead and noticed a ship seconds away from departure.

"How barbaric this is going to be", he said crawling threw a now closing vent at the bottom of the ship. He looked around and say insignias on the ship's walls and say that it was clearly some space pirates ship but as he continued to walk around he say a group of 5 head his way laughing.

"Alright guy come out now and we won't hurt you as bad, alright", the biggest of them said while the rest just laughed. Mat-tsu slowly came out looking at the group disgusted.

"Tell me...did you steal this ship and all these other things...", he replied laughing a little.

"And if we did what are ya' going to do about it "wee man" , another pirate said laughing, unsheathing his sword.

"Kill you or you could just give me this ship and jump in the ocean now, you choose", Mat-tsu said calmly. The 5 bulky men looked at him and started laughing, slowly walking around Mat-tsu circling him with their rifles in hand pointing them directly at his head.

"Kid, yo' ass chose the wrong muthas to mess wit' tanight, I mean all we wanted to-", he was cut off by the sound of something hitting the floor behind him and as he turned around to his complete horror it was his wingman's head and to his right was his wingman's body still standing with rifle in hand and in front was the now fading image of the Mat-tsu. The very image of this freaked the man out into a complete panic shooting carelessly at everything that moved including his crew until it was only him left. He moved around the ship in complete fear hearing screams and moans eveywhere he went.

"Tha-tha-that dogon kid...wa-wa-was the damn DEVIL", he continued walking seeing his crew members on the floor with deep gashes on the bodies still leaking with blood. He continued on now running for his life to the escape pod when something glowing caught his eyes.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU DAMN DEVIL", he sreamed firing round after round at the set of eyes as it moved closer and closer towards him. He stared at it petrified, so scared he deficated himself, as the eyes grew closer he sees what the thing is, a vamtyr but it is to late a vamtyr sends a long pronged tentecle straight into the man's leg breaking it in half like a twig.

"AHHHHH, AHHHHH, NOOOO", the man screams as the vamtyr grabs the man's head and begins to squeeze harder and harder when it suddenly stops dropping the man to the ground.

"Are you...alright sir", said Mat-tsu with multiple cuts on his body.

"What...yo-you didn't do this shit kid", the man said panting looking Mat-tsu directly in the eyes.

"What, no I...I'm not capable of this, it was those vamtyrs they were also on your ship I noticed it at the last second...I tried to save your crew but-", Mat-tsu stopped looking around at all the other dead bodies.

"*sigh*...kid your brave I'll tell you...that much...if only we could of met before I was a pirate...I-I always wanted a little guy like you but...gue-guess it's to late for that", he said coughing up a glob of blood.

"Even though you are pirates you are still human and I'm not and I mean I'M NOT going to let another human die in front of me again", Mat-tsu said looking at the now smiling man on the floor.

"What are you smiling at", Mat-tsu said angered and confused.

"No-nothing, you just....go to the control room...and follow those coordinates to that ship...there are some...people you need to meet...who are trying to do...the same thing as...you", the man said with his last breath.

"What do you mean", Mat-tsu said standing over the man but it was to late to ask for an answer the man was already dead. Mat-tsu looked around for the control room when he passed by a large holographic screen with the the letters L-E-E on it. He tapped the screen and an image with a strange girl on it appeared and it continued on.

"Hmmm....LEE, Micheal Creed, Lance Heartwell, Sayuri Lutriel, Loreley, Brash'una, Okyruu, Martel...what the never mind..."Stardust" Alutrie and Elie Calm...and there is a bounty for there heads for...whoa...that's a lot of money...I'll just find them and ask them what do they know about these mechanical beings because with a bounty like that on their heads they must know something". He read more about them and saw that they are now labled as resistance leaders and the report continued on saying where to find there location and also the areas were the occupy the most. Mat-tsu's eyes widened as he saw the ship set up a course to intercept the one called LEE's path.

"They all must be in one ship possibly two if I'm reading this right", he said to himself as the ship neared the target he saw the two ships going towards what he saw on the monitor the "Deep Heaven" station he, with the little knowlege about aircrafts manipulated the set path and manually flew directly in front of the two ships.

"Sir, our course has been intercepted by an unknown ship", said Adun to Brash'una.

"Incoming transmission sir", Adun continued.

"LEE, Creed, Heartwell, Lutriel, Loreley, Brash'una, Okyruu, Alutrie, and Calm, it is a pleasure to meet you all, you all like myself I believe are trying to acheive the same mission as me...to eliminate the Vamtyrs, I apologize for the rude interception but this was the only way I could reach you", Mat-tsu said sternly.

"Who are you", asked Heartwell.

"I am Mat-tsu Okin-wa from the planet Nighside and I'm simply here to assist in the destruction of the Vamtyrs. All I ask is may we have an exchange of information because there is a file on this ship that contains some data that I believe you all want to see and in return all I ask for is the information that you all know and a possible partnership". Mat-tsu said in a very relaxed tone.
