Nomurah!
Lately, I've just been wanted to try something new, away from my usual band routine... and I had an idea, that may not work, and most likely, noone will participate in, but.. I'm serious about the idea. I'd like to gather up all of the musicians on the OB, to participate in a "OB Rock Band (aha, we'll think of a real name) But of course, when I pitch this idea, I suppose nobody will feel like participating, but I do wish someone would.. :] How would this project come about? Recording programs, mics, we use mulitiple people to record guitar, bass, drums and vocals. But, in this project, I want to span over many genres, and put it into a Progressive form. So, we'll have moments that are like that of Coheed and Cambria, or The Sound of Animals Fighting, and then we'll have our moments that are similiar to bands like Opeth, and etc. So, anyone want to help out? Real musicianship, anybody? Pow?

As far as your skills go...Niceee. I'm most likely not going to be doing any engineering, since I really suck at it, so you may indeed be up for that job :]. And who knows? You have so many skills, we could use you for just about anything... the members may switch positions from song to song, so you'll fit right in. My skillz- Drums (preferrable) Vocals, Gutteral, Pig Squeal, Banshee (I'd like anyone who can sing in the band to sing some in every song. In other words, it'd be sweet to have multiple vocalists) Guitar (I suck lol, so I hopefully won't be playing anything for you guys) Anyone else want to join? :] All musicians and genres will be put to work, aha, so don't feel like you won't fit in, or that you're style of music just isn't right for this. :] And by the way...Any Acapella vocalists out there, or high- feminine toned vocalists?
2010DigitalBoy
Oi oi. I don't know if I'm any good, but I can sing. I can do any range you please, even geddy-lee-style-testicle-wrenching falsetto. I have a recording device (GarageBand on Mac) that isn't professional at all, but I've used it a lot. If you want, I could upload a sample.

Aberinkula
People say Claudio sucks at singing. I say he has one of the best voices next. But I can't play an intrument well. (Hope to play drums one day though or the keyboard.) However, I'm good at songwritting. Don't know how much that would help as this band could only be musically driven. But if this came to life, I'd take a listen.
Claire
Despite having suggested this both here and on another forum and letting it die before it even got off the ground, I'm all for it. I play guitar, bass, and I can work stuff out on a piano. But since I don't have my bass right now, I'm best at guitar. However, I can't do fast alternate picking or sweep picking as in solos, and I have never been able to get an artificial harmonic out of my guitar. So if we ended up needing some of that stuff, I'm not the right person. I'd be fine with rhythm guitar, though. I think someone should write a part of a song on whatever instrument they can play and post it up here for the next instrument to be added on. I was considering making a thread for that a long time ago but I never even got around to writing a short melody. If anyone needs a recording program, google Audacity. Also, guitarists and bassists should check out Power Tab Editor. You need to know a little music theory, but it's a program that allows you to write out tablature and save it as a tab or a midi. I use it all the time and it's awesome.

2010DigitalBoy
Ugh... Garageband mysteriously uninstalled itself from my comp, so I installed Audacity which is MUCH better already XD. Anywho, I randomly recorded myself singing Godfather's Lollipop by Shabutie. It's not nearly as good as the original, but then again it's my favorite vocal performance ever, so its not easy to live up to. There are some glaring mistakes at one part and another part that I remembered my parents were home and I wouldn't be able to sing the part with a lot of cuss words. You can hear me ****ing up XD. I was quite impressed with myself, though. I think I nailed most of the soft part. Anyway, here's... The Original Me Singing EDIT: No the kind of drums you were prolly hoping for, but if anyone wants something to go off of... http://www.mediafire.com/?1xjlwzittib EDIT 2: I'm proud of this rendition of Lechium by Dredg as well. I'd really like to find a song in more lower tone, though, since I sing better that way ^^;; http://www.mediafire.com/?7he4nm3bfmi

Boo
Eep, I've wanted to do this some time ago, but I don't have really good audio editing material, so I'll have to work with Audacity until I get something better too. What can I do? Ehm... - Guitar - Bass - Lyrics - Melodic vocals (A lot - I probably have a Baritone voice) - Rhytmic vocals - Beatbox :] And more, but then I'll need to hi-jack my friend's place... Well, like I said, my recording/editing possibilities are kind of limited (I have a headset mic.), but I can at least write down what I can't record. Sounds like fun to be involved in this. :x

Claire
Oh my . D: Well. I did record something, but it's really really short. I don't think we should start off big or anything, so here; http://www.mediafire.com/?4bcgnj9tijs Um, if details are needed, it's 3/4 time, tuned a half step down (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb, or flat, rather).

I'll make a drumtrack soon, after I hear what the strings come up with. So. Who wants to play bass on the first song? :] And we...must also come up with a name. I say: Knight Shift Gnomes, lol. :D And also, I'd like Goodbye, Face to join us sooner or later. He needs something to record with, but he'll get something eventually (maybe) and help us out. How many guitarists should we limit to a song? :D No limit vocal-wise. We'll switch from verse to verse. :] Cause that's how I roll, dawgs. I kind of want long-ish songs, but we'll probably have to gather more members and take baby steps before we get to the long songs, but whatever. We shall make it! ...And...
