It looks like Victoria Ann has a new pet! :p I suspect that Lucy and her are going to become inseparable. Which brings up another question... just how smart are the Chimera's? I would imagine that they are intelligent to a degree. Would they be protective of their handlers? Personally I think the races would be more interesting if they were.

Also... Shy! Post! I have the feeling that someone is going to
die
when the next bit of drama happens. I could be wrong, but I'll be surprised if I'm not. XP

Yes, purebred Chimaera are usually pretty intelligent. I'm thinking that Lucy will become pretty protective over Victoria Ann. If anything serious happens, she may be able to fly her to safety...

And she will possibly be aggressive and/or suspicious of those who threaten her owners.

Hopefully Bavaria doesn't hate Lucy too much...after all, she's priceless and irreplaceable. I can't imagine how Victoria Ann would feel if anything happened to Lucy.

It's displaying fine for me....there's no stretching. Maybe it's because I'm using Firefox. *shrug*

I'll edit it anyway. Hopefully that fixes it.

If Lady Bavaria objects... she's likely to kick her in the shins again and tell her to quit picking on her Lucy! She still dislikes Bavaria a lot afterall. XP Oh and while I'm here... hurray for the head master getting humiliated in front of the Dynast heirs! ^_^

*gives Aryanna a little poke*

Just so you know, Lucy can carry double. Cough cough. Because Macey wouldn't want you up there alone because doubtless your mother would find out and then there would be some trouble in the form of a tongue lashing. Specifically the tongue lashing of. your. life.
I imagine Beatriste would have more of a problem with Victoria riding a Chimaera than Bavaria would. Those things are dangerous!

-Shy
Hence: Macey rides and holds onto Macey. I had that happen to me once in China. They couldn't afford lawyers if I fell and cracked my skull, so I had to ride double with a cool and awesome horse herder.

So essentially Victoria would get to hold the reins, but being the sidesaddle genius that she is, and since they aren't going to be doing more than walking, it should be fine. And exciting! And SAFE!

I have a question or rather confusion about the plot. It was indicated that one of the heirs was thinking Bavaria would make a fine Queen, but that makes no sense to me. I mean royalty married to produce heirs so why would he consider a woman who is apparently barren? Unless he's not aware of this? Though I would imagine hiding the fact that she produced no children for Leonhart would have been impossible and highly gossiped about among the wealthy. Anyway, that's something that I've been curious about since that post. So what exactly is the deal?

EDIT: And to be clear, I thought she was barren because of this post here: post

I think that's when Bavaria would get clever and ensure that her prince/king had mistresses. That had bastard children that she could palm off as her own.

OR

Maybe she and Leonhart were...cough.... incompatible?

Putting her in the role of Queen may ease some international tensions, which is first and foremost in his mind.

And I don't think he (or anyone) knows that she's barren. Lady Bavaria married Leonhart later in his life, so perhaps he never wanted to have more children. If Primas were to marry Bavaria, her inability to produce heirs would obviously create some tension.

With the posts of Josh and me, the drama is back on.

Just to be absolutely sure, everything that happened in my post is completely unknown to the rest of the characters. So rather than focusing on the disappearances of Nellie and Gadget, you should all react to Morphia's accident.

And if anyone thinks that the plot-twist in my post is not believable, I can tell you that it was planned from the start. ;D
Donner and Blair Stark were only seventeen when they had a baby boy. They were madly in love with each other and with their cause of saving the people of New Czenoble from under the oppression of the High Czenoble, so there really was no room in their lives for a child. They ended up giving the baby to Mrs. Charcoal's orphanage, where he grew up as Gerrault Knotting, later known as Gadget.
I just wanted to comment that I'd planned for one of Gustave's Chimaera to win the Cup (at least, the air Cup - maybe not the ground version). Someone else can mention this if they like, so that I'm not holding things up.

I figured that this would infuriate Hugo Black even more and could potentially cause him to want to get some sort of revenge. He has already visciously dispatched one of Gustave's three entrants.

And of course, a win would also infuriate the Dynasts, which would no doubt make things more difficult.

Well, well, seems poor Daedalus has lost another loved one. I imagine his already waning life may be deminished even further with this new shock. Even if he doesn't find the body, he'll have some idea of what happened.

Which leads me to my next point, Sandy, I hope you're aware that Daedalus will go to any length to capture Gadget over what has occurred, given that he was the last person to see Nellie alive. I imagine he'd begin with a bounty, for his capture alive, and then if he finds out Gadget's relation to the Starks, it's going to be a bounty for his head, along with those of his rebel parents.

Well Gavin, Daedalus cannot be sure that Nellie is dead, but I understand his urge to find Gadget. I bet Vincent and Macey will want to know where he went to, as well. ;D

In other news, the family tree has been updated.

He of course can't be sure, but he knows it's not like his daughter to simply disappear, especially given her role as the Princess' protector. I didn't mean that he would realise straight away, but after a day or two, Daedalus will simply add two and two together to reach the most obvious conclusion. It's simply the same nature that made him believe Leonhart was dead.

Since we don't need to read every character's personal reaction to Morphia's accident, I'd like to ask the group if it's alright that we move the story forward in time. I would suggest placing things later in the evening, where we get to see some of the fallout from the accident. That way some of the characters who were brought along for the races have a chance to wander off and do their own thing. If you guys want to move things even further (onto the next day or whatever) that's fine by me.

In reality, only a handful of the characters knew Morphia very well, and I imagine accidents at the races are fairly common.

-Shy
You're quite the little sneak. ;) Or rather we were simply thinking the same thing, since that's exactly what I was thinking. Accidents are probably common and that most of us don't really know Morphia.

Well Macey doesn't know Morphia at all, so she'd feel an abstract sympathy but you're right Mum, accidents happen all the time.

Granted this time I'm pretty sure "accident" is more fitting. Darn that Hugo Black.

I think we should have an image of him. I always envisioned him as a dashing Zorro figure, the mask hiding the ticking time bomb of evil inside him...

James, do you have any plans for Hugo Black? Perhaps this could give Henry something to do, seeking out revenge for the 'accident.'

As for the day, I actually forgot that Malkav has an important post that he is still working to finish. He should have it up over the weekend, so until then I'm just going to shift things to the evening. I know Rach had some things he wanted to play around with, so maybe this will give him a chance to do so.

Cool, evening is okay with me (anything post-races is good).

I have no particular plans for Hugo Black. At some stage I would like the chance to incorporate him a little bit here and there - to go into his character and stuff. He's sort of another NPC I'm thinking about using later on in the story.

But certainly, for the immediate future, I have no plans for him.

Edit: I've moved everything to late afternoon in my post. Vincent will leave for New Czenoble in the evening.

Okay, it's the next day!

Lots of stuff going on, but everyone should feel free to do their own thing. Everyone will be thinking carefully about their allegiances to Czenovia as even more turmoil threatens the nation. It should be interesting to see who remains loyal, who flees, and who demands revolution.

CHAOS Kids (Aaryanna, Mom, Indi): Make sure to note that CHAOS was robbed the previous night. Is CHAOS in session 'today?' Did we ever have a clear answer on that?

Anyways, keep up the good work guys. Today it begins!

Quick point for Raiha: Lazarus is a large, Chocobo-like Chimaera. He's all-white in colour, except for some black feathers around his face and through his wings. He doesn't quite have the cute look of a Chocobo though - he's a bit more sleek and elegant (his head/face is hawk-like, I'd say).

Also I would have made the section with Gustave longer, but this time I needed to focus on Audrey/Vincent. Their discussion is significant (for Vincent, anyway)...

Other than that... the revolution has started. ~_^
