[Zero Sephiroth]

After talking with Kaiyi and listening to Emilio?s interesting, but weird and awkward at the same time, views on humanity, Rei decided to walk a small distance away from the group, still within range of the group to hear what they were saying, but not close enough so that they could hear him whispering with Demi who flying at shoulder height.

?Rei, what?s the word you?d use to describe that Emilio guy??
?Hmm? judging from what he?s said so far, either a philosopher, or odd.?

He looked around at the group, examining each of them carefully, trying to get an idea of what he thought about each of them, and of the group as the whole. All he found was that each one was odd, or stranger then the others in some, or they had a secret that they wanted to keep to themselves.

Demi had glanced at his face quickly, and guessed what Rei was thinking about almost instantly.

?Are you ever planning on telling them that you-?

Rei placed a hand across her mouth, muffling her speech as the rest of the group began to turn to hear what she had to say. Rei swore under his breath, for Demi had forgotten to whisper, and had begun to talk loud enough for the others to hear.

?What was she about to say??

Rei twisted to head to look at Shoko, who had asked the question.

?Unfortunately, that?s for me and Demi to know, and for you lot to possibly never find out.?

He smiled as he turned his back on the group to check on Silver, ignoring their comments about as he removed his hand from Demi?s mouth, an irate look on her face.

[I]?Besides, it?ll only make it harder for us to work together if you lot knew.?[/I]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko shrugged and continued walking along when Talon swooped down next to her.
"You think your father would approve of anything that you have been doing?"
"My father is no concern of this group or anything that happens within it."
He shook his head and pinned her with a steely eye.
"You know your the only one he wants on the throne."
She stopped and looked down at her feet.
"You know you may be able to do more as the queen then as a reble preincess."
She snorted and kept walking.
"I wouldnt be able to do shit, you know that cause the king or prince of the west would hear none of it, just like my father. It's not like I can do something over night there."
"You can't do that here either but at least there you'd be safe."
"Not from my brothers, just drop it talon, I made my choice."
She walked past him and towards the front to talk at Kaiyi about a place to rest for the night since evening was going to close in very soon.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Wolfie turned away after Emilo's response to his remark. He walks besides Draco and starts talking with her.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Draco, Emilo has a point. Humans do destroy everything we touch. At the same time, soldiers do what the government wants us to do. I was folowing orders in the mountains where you found me but I lost my goals a few years before that. I know what its like to loose the mind."[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"So during that time where you lost your mind and the time I found you, you turned into that person back in that clearing correct?"[/COLOR]

Woflie: [COLOR="DrakRed"]"Correct, I remember the people I killed, the families I destroyed, the innocent children I slaughter, and the the towns I burned. Its got to end before it starts happening again. Before theirs nothing left to destroy. Not even our souls will remain if the war continue."[/COLOR] [COLOR="Black"]Woflie gets colser to Draco to whisper to her.[/COLOR] [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Shoko is the princess of the east. I now about her and she is to take the throne. her brothers on the other hand want her out of the picture so they can rule. I trust her with my life but if we continue to act like pasifits, we will be destroyed. Sooner or later she'll realize this I hope. I will kill again if I must. I'll do it for Jessy, you, and all the others in this group including Daly. Now lets go we lost distance from the group. We mustn't seperate at night."[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi was examining the river, deep in thought about what she'd have to do when they reached their destination when Shoko caught up with her.
[B]“It’ll be dark soon.”[/B]

Kaiyi nodded. [B]“Right.” [/B]She paused and took in their surroundings carefully. [B]“There’s a shallow point there ahead. I suggest we cross and make camp on the other side nearer to edge of the wood. That way our dragons can stay close and get to us if needed. At this pace, we should be only one more day’s walk from the village.”[/B]

Shoko nodded and looked at her considering. [B]“Is this difficult for you? Where we’re going.”[/B]

Kaiyi looked off into the woods, thinking before answering. [B]“Not the place, the people. My grandmother in particular will be difficult to deal with, she prides herself on it. But I promise you we’ll not leave there without answers of some kind to help us.”[/B] It was Kaiyi’s turn to consider Shoko. [B]“So, you’re the East’s royalty.” [/B]Shoko looked at her startled, Kaiyi nodded to Rah who was giving her best uninterested act. [B]“She’s got good ears.” [/B]Shoko paused before answering

[B]“Yes, by birth right. But the politics are out of my control behind the stone walls and I’m thwarted at every turn. Being outside that I feel is my only chance.”[/B]

[B]“That takes a lot of courage.” [/B]

Shoko gave a half smile[B] “yes, well, it’ll be easier now that I have back up.”[/B]

Kaiyi gave her an encouraging smile and patted her lightly on the back as they made their way toward the campsite.[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko looked at all the people that had come to her aid as they set up camp, they were all diffrent and had come from so many places but the one thing that she could tell from all of them is that they were reliable. She smiled as Drago slamed his tail down hard making a large indent and after Talon dumped the load of wood he had found in the hole lit it brightly on fire.
"Good work boys, Talon, what kind of hunting did you scout out coming here?"
"Venison, fish, rabbit, and a number of other small game. Which would you prefer?"
"I think the venison would be a good choice, feed all of us at once and then you all can hunt for your selves."
As she said this Drago downed a rabbit quickly.
"I didn't catch that last one Sho."
She rolled her eyes and shook her head, looking back at Talon she thought for a moment and nodded.
"Get a buck, this is fawn season and who knows how many of the does have a fawn or two."
He nodded and with in moments she was gutting the large 10 point buck, placing various pieces here and there. As she placed the heart on the bank he licked his beak.
"fine go ahead, you caught it."
He snapped and grabbed it quickly and perched him self in a nearby tree and ate his piece. She finished cleaning the buck and hauled it over to the fire spit where Drago helped her lift it onto the fire spit with his tail, after the meat began to sizzle quietly she rummaged through her pack and found a thick black paste that she began to rub the herb paste generously onto the cooking buck till it was covered fully, she was about to begin something else when a hand clamped on her shoulder, she acted reflexivly and had a small dagger to the persons sot stomach in a fraction of a second till she realized it was Wolfie. Putting it away as swiftly as she had drawn it she returned to her cooking.
"What can I do for you Wolfie?"
"I told you earlier I need to speak with you in private."
"Yes, but first thing comes first, we all need to eat."
"This is urgent."
"As urgent as getting food in everyone's belly? I think not."
She hung a pot of water on the spit and filled it with wild rice and added another flavoring to the water making it thicken almost immdently. Afterwards she turned to Wolfie.
"Alright, I have a 10 minute window for you to talk to me, make it fast."
He nodded and led her to a small part of the camping area that was bare and no one was near it. She stopped there and planted her feet.
"This is far enough Wolfie, I won't stray to far from the others or my partners."
He looked ready to argue but shook his head against it, taking a deep breath he was about to begin when Talon landed behind her and lay down infront of her.
"She goes no where with out one of us by her."
She crossed her arms as he frowned but he nodded and began.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Starwind]

The smell of that fresh meat was starting to make Emilios' stomach growl. He wasn't much of a hunter and rarely got to have good meat like this. He looked about there make shift camp at the group of still new faces. He wanted to get know some of them a bit better before their work was done, but now wasn't the time. Emilio got back to his feet and walked off into the wood line to go find Miles and Den. As he walked off he could here a voice call out to him [B][COLOR="Navy"]"Where are you going?"[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio turned to see Kaiyi looking right at him. He gave her a smile [B][COLOR="Cyan"]"To play. Wanna come with?"[/COLOR][/B]

She gave him an odd look. Like she meant to ask 'is that anyway for a grown man to act', but instead she just shook her head [B][COLOR="Navy"]"No, that's fine. Have fun."[/COLOR][/B]

With that, Emilio turned back around and continued on his way into the woods. Once he got about good 100 yards from the camp, Den and Miles revealed themselves to him. Miles was a bit irritated [B][COLOR="Blue"]"How long were you planing to keep us waiting here. It's already so late."[/COLOR][/B]

Den just shook her head [COLOR="Red"][B]"Take it easy on him."[/B][/COLOR] She looked to Emilio [COLOR="red"][B]"Are you having fun yet?"[/B][/COLOR]

Emilio smiled back to them [COLOR="Cyan"][B]"A little bit, but not for the reasons I thought."[/B][/COLOR] He drifted off in his thoughts for a moment before snapping back [COLOR="cyan"][B]"Anyway, let's get to practice. I've still got alot to learn about flying."[/B][/COLOR]

The two smiled and took to the night skies. Emilio crouched down and built up his strength into his legs and with one thrust, he was in the air, already well above the tree tops, doing his best to reach Den and Miles who were already so high in the sky. Emilio tried his best, but he just couldn't reach them.

As he came back down to the ground, Den and Miles followed. Miles came along side Emilio [B][COLOR="Blue"]"Don't worry boy. You're doing better all the time. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually. You can already fly higher then most humans could ever dream of doing."[/COLOR][/B]

The rare words of encouragement from Miles were refreshing, but this didn't help much to take the sting out of yet another failed attempt. He was starting to wonder if earth bound life was the doomed fate of all humans. Emilio looked back to Miles and Den once more [B][COLOR="Cyan"]"I'm gonna head back to the camp now. Besides, if I try to fly there it could be good practice."[/COLOR][/B]

And with a smile on his face and quick push with his legs he was off and sailing back to camp, just above the tree top canopy.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Fine but I don't want anyone else knowing what Im about to tell you three."[/COLOR]

They gave a nod to show that they understand. Wolfie then took another deep breath and started talking.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"About 5 Years ago when I was 13. I was taken from my family and trained to kill without remorse. for the next 2 years. I slaughter people. You remember the Mountain battle of Tarush? I was injured and left for dead by my own troops. I felt betrayed by my own people. It was Draco that saved me from death. I owe her my life for that. After a year in the moutains I came across a town in the Neutrual Zone. I meet Jessy and then I figured out she was from the East. I came to my mind to toss my past away and start anew. I want to end this war so that way we could live in piece. As for Daly, I was in charge of her people's extermination. I know she would rather let me die in battle than save me. Please Princess Shoko. I ask you that would pardon me for the time being till the war ends."[/COLOR]

Shoko and the other two looks at Wolfie.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Oh by the way, your rices is boiling over."[/COLOR]

Wolfie laughs a litte but it has pain in it.

Rei looked over at the group as three of them left and entered the forest, out of sight and hearing of them all. He shrugged as he turned around and walked over to Silver, who was resting on the ground a short distance from the campsite. He noticed that Silver looked uncomfortable, and was snapping at anything that came close to him.

?Ok Silver?what?s up? You look pissed off. You look like you?re about to-?

Silver?s tail smashed at the ground besides Rei, barely an inch from scrapping Rei?s side. Rei looked from Silver to where he had hit the ground, before looking back at Silver, a look of mild amusement on his face.

?I see. You really wanted to fight back there, didn?t you??

The dragon turned to look at Rei, examining him closely before nodding slowly.

?Alright then. I?ll make you a deal. If you behave well, I?ll let you fight next time, no matter what the others say. If I fail to keep my end, I?ll fight you instead. Got it??

Silver had a look of indecisiveness across his face as he thought the offer over for a few minutes, before what Rei thought was a smile flashed across Silver?s face, the dragon nodding furiously.

?Remember, you have to keep your end of the deal. And that means behaving.?

He turned his back on the dragon, as it lied back down on the ground and closed its eyes, only now just noticing the rest of the group looking at him and Silver and their little discussion.

???What??
?Don?t you have any sort of control over him??
?Doesn?t that dragon ever talk??

Rei glanced at the two of them, before looking elsewhere, trying not to stare at either of them.

?He only listens to me when he feels like it, which is rarely due to his temper. And he?s even worse in groups then I am, which is why he doesn't talk.?

He laid down on the ground away from the group, staring at the sky, making it apparent that he wasn?t in the mood to talk anymore either.

Woflie hears a thud near by and pulls his sword out in an attack possition.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"What was that? Shoko, get behind me. Every one here?[/COLOR]

Every one sounded off to let me know their all here. I saw that a few of the others where looking at Emilo and his dragon name Silver. I sheathed my sword and walk over to them.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Rei, was that Silver making that rumble? Please keep him from doing that again. Next time, it might be someone attacking."[/COLOR]

Wolfie turned around and walked over to Draco and jumps on her. Shoko comes up and ask Him.

Shoko: [COLOR="Blue"]"Where do you think your going? We need to stick together."[/COLOR]

Wolfie jumps off and grabs her by the arms but not hard enough to hurt her. He pulls here close and whispers.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Look, even if it was Silver who made that rumble. It doesnt mean their might be enimies around. I know that person who attacked us in the clearing was your brother. If you are the Reble Princess of the East I heard of, then they probaly have the entire Eastern Palace Army after you. Which means we are not safe even in your own country. Im taking a watch on the mountain and don't worry. I won't kill any troops that I find. I just simple put them into a deep sleep with this."[/COLOR]

Wolfie pulls a jar of clear liquid and dips a dart into it.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Lets demonstrate it. On a small animal of course."[/COLOR]

Wolfie spots a rabit and throws the dart at the rabit and sticks it. About 5 seconds later the rabit falls asleep.

Wolfie then jumps on Draco and flies off towards the nearby mountain. With out staying to be scolded by Shoko.

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi watched as Wolfie disappeared into the dark. She turned to Shoko who shook her head.

[B]?He wants to keep watch from the mountain; he doesn?t believe we?re safe for the night.?[/B]

Kaiyi nodded [B]?He may be right. Once your attacker from earlier woke, he probably went to get back up and will pick up our trail eventually.?[/B] She was very matter-of-fact about everything, which tended to startle people. [B]?I know Dar will be pacing the clearing watching, probably so will the other dragons. I don?t know about the rest of you, but I feel pretty secure.? [/B]She let down her hair and started combing it out, careful to keep it clear of the fire. Where she sat it almost reached the ground.

Shoko sat beside her [B]?How do you manage to keep your hair that long and still fight??[/B]Kaiyi smiled [B]?The trick is to move faster than the hair.?[/B][/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko nodded and walked away from the others as they began to dig into the food, Talon walked up beside her.
"Something bothering you?"
"That Wolfie guy is pissing me off, he's acting like he knows everything and I don't like it. He needs to realize that he has to work as a group to let things happen smoothly."
"So your pissed he won't listen to you? You know for denouncing your place as the princess you still demand respect and listening."
"It's not that, I know more then they give me credit for. But that guy pisses me off, he's full of him self and he needs to learn that we're in this together and he's not the gaurd dog of the group we take shifts and watch the group as one."
"Shoko, give them all a chance, some people only come off that way."
"I don't care, he needs to get over him self and learn to be one of the team."
She crossed her arms and sat on a stump and heaved a sigh; looking up at the sky she watched the stars dance and wished things might have happened diffrently.[/FONT][/COLOR]

hovering above Shoko, wolfie head everything. He told Draco to fly towards the mountain nearby and to fly as low as possible.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Shoko, the Reble Princess of the East, a little demanding but cute. She make a fine Empress in the West but thats in the past. Me, a full of himself guy? Well maybe thats how I want to appear. To hide my identity I must act like a fool. I don't care what she thinks. She doesn't even know the Terrible Warrior of the West." [/COLOR] Woflie argued to himself for a bit then talks to Draco.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Draco, when we land, go back to the camp and watch them from a distance. Keep an eye outfor Shoko though. I have a funny feeling somwthing might happen tonight. Any problems occur, deal with them but no deaths. Just hurt them. Also listen in to what their saying about me. Shoko seems to think Im a nobody who just thinks he someone."[/COLOR]

Draco looks at Wolfie with a confused look on her face.

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Why do you want me to do that? I mean can't you just sit their and listen?"[/COLOR]

Wolfie just sits their staring at the stars then the camp.

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko giggled as Drago loped up beside her knocking trees down as he came to her.
"Shoko you demand alot sometimes do you know this?"
"Drago, what do you mean?"
"Some times people can't help but act a certain way, things aren't always what they appear to be Shoko."
"Still, I'm not helpless like some people think I am."
"Are you refering to a few moments ago when Wolfie told you to get behind him?"
"Possilbly, why do you ask?"
"Perhaps he just wants to keep you safe."
"Grr, I don't need a body gaurd I can take care of my self!"
"We know that, but they need to give me the chance."
"You must give them the chance as well."
"Yeah well if he doesn't stop treating me like a child I'll show him my royal blood."
"Shoko, behave."
"I'll do as I please Drago, you know me."
"You are a wild spirit. I know this. But sometimes you have to learn when enough is enough."
"Shoko..."
"Drago, drop it please? I know and I understand but if he treats me like that one more time I won't hesitate to put his ass on the ground. I know what he is and who he is, I have heard of him and I don't care about his past, but I do care if he treats me like some maiden that needs protection."
She rubbed Drago's head scales and walked under a tree and sat down listening to the nights song.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi finished her food and then moved to the edge of the river away from prying eyes to wash. [I]This was an interesting group, but the camp teamed with ego and strength, every one a dominate, not used to following. [/I]That energy was weighing her down and she needed this before sleep to calm her nerves.

She splashed the water on her face and drank it in. Water had always made her feel safe, balanced. She was strongest by the water.

[COLOR="DarkGreen"][B][I]That man’s dragon has returned, he is more suspicious than the rest.[/I][/B][/COLOR]

[I][B]Thank you Dar, I will be mind full of it.[/B][/I]

Kaiyi stripped to her waist and closed her eyes, pulling the water up around her upper body. Some might see this as a wasteful way to use ones magic, but she saw it as an opportunity to fine-tune her skills. Kaiyi draped her hair over her shoulder, exposing her back. She could hear the sounds of the others back at camp preparing for sleep. She should return soon. [I]Return…. She was returning… she wondered what kind of reception they’d receive when they got there.[/I] Kaiyi straightened and froze… [I]she could feel eyes on her...[/I][/COLOR]

[Zero Sephiroth]

Rei slowly ate the last few pieces of his meat as he closed his eyes and contemplated his current situation, his back leaning against the thick trunk of the tree behind him. He shifted uncomfortably as he felt Demi budge around constantly on top of his head, to peek around the corner of the tree, trying to get a quick glimpse of the river, every few minutes or so.

?Rei.?

Rei sighed loudly as Demi stopped his train of thought yet again. It was one of the many things that annoyed him about Demi, and yet he decided it was worth keeping her around. He still hadn?t found his reason why he continued to do so.

?What now??
?Um?she?s sorta stopped moving and stood up straight. She looks like an animal when they realise something else is there.?
?Then she?s aware that you?re watching her probably. I suppose you?d better go tell her what?s happening and explain.?

Demi nodded slowly, leaping off Rei?s head and hovering in the air for a moment. She began to head towards the river, stopping near the edge of the tree to look back at Rei, who hadn?t moved a muscle.

?Aren?t you coming down to speak as well??
?It wouldn?t help. I think she would freak out if a guy began walking towards her whilst she?s like that.?
[I]?And there?s the fact I don?t want to look. Which was why I made Demi do it in the first place...?[/I]

Demi shrugged as she turned back around and carried on towards the river, waving her arms in the air when she came into view.

?Hi! Don?t panic! Please don?t! It?s just me!?

She smiled as she flew rapidly towards Kaiyi in the river, stopping when Demi was a feet away from her, floating around head height in the air as her wings flapped rapidly.

?Rei thought it would be a bad idea for you to go out here by yourself, though I can?t quite remember his reasoning behind it?Oh well! He thought it would be best to keep an eye on you, and make sure nothing happened?Though I?m not sure how he planned on doing that when he keeps his eyes closed, and back towards you, and stays behind that tree over there??

She indicated with a hand briefly towards the tree Rei was behind, whilst placing another hand on her own chin, as Demi tried to remember what else Rei had said or if there was anything she missed, before giving up quickly and carried on smiling at Kaiyi.

[Darks Anthro]

Wolfie watched as Draco flew back to the camp and started to set a covered hut for observing the camp and about 500' beyond it in a 180 degree view. After 2 hours of making a hut that looked like the rock face of the mountain, he whistled for Draco to return.

Wolfie makes a loud whistle and he can see Draco taking the same flight pattern as they came.

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Yes Woflie?"[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Draco, why don't people recognise me? I was sure that if I showed my face after all those years of hiding people would try to arrest me or worse kill me."[/COLOR]

Draco sighs a little then looks back.

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Its been what over 3 years since we came to that little town in the neutral zone?"[COLOR] Wolfie nods then Draco continues. [COLOR="Pink"]"A long time as passed since I found you in those cursed mountains. I've seen much improvement in your outward expresions towards other humans. Also, during that time. You found peace and serinity for your soul. You where a ruthless warrior and feared nothing, killed anything, burned all that stands before you."[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Don't remind me. I don't need the guilt right now."[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Oops sorry. After we entered that town, you changed. You changed soo much that you denied your own past. I say thats a very difficult and most proned to problems. You remembered all those things but they serve a purpose as well as your enternal punishment. One day, you will be able to use those memories to your advantages. Now, please come back to the camp. the fire is almost out and you don't have any blankets to cover yourself from the cold."[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"No, I said I would take watch from here and thats what Im going to do. In a few hours I need you to wake Rei or Emilo. Make sure they come alone. I must talk to Rei the most because I think he is supcisous of me. Now go. Take some rest. You deserve it, Im asking as a friend. Please sleep, I'll be fine."[/COLOR]

Draco takes off and flies back to the camp and Wolfie takes to his hut.

"Rei, I heard that name before but where? He seems so familiar yet so far out of memory. Shoko, your stuck up view on everyone will eventually lead to a choice that will be painfull. Daly, I hope I can be forgiven for my crimes against her people. Emilo, weird but a guy I could trust my life with. Looks like me when I was just a lad. Time to stop poundering and stand watch."[/COLOR]

Wolfie sits their for a long time staring into the forest and the camp.

Emilio watched as Kaiyi leaved the camp, while others settled down for the night, Emilio simply couldn't bring ease to himself. Maybe it was because he had failed to reach the sky again. Or maybe it was because he was surrounded by all these strangers. Either way, it didn't spell out a very restful night. He started to wonder if he shouldn't try practicing some more. He was so close he could taste it.

The group tentions were certainly high. Shoko had truly put her faith in only the strongest around. The problem being though is that with so many strong individuals, you end up with everyone trying to lead the way. This was quickly turning into a case of [I]'too many chiefs, not enough indians'[/I]. After watching Kaiyi leave, Emilio decided to do the same. It was late, but he wasn't ready sleep. Not that he did it much anyway.

Emilio walked out toward the river and began to move along it. He turn to his right and set his foot on the waters surface. He built up his energy just beneath his feet and used it to hold himself up on the waters surface. As he walked across the water he could see some one in the distance. He leapt from the waters surface and took up refuge in a tree. Whoever it was, was using the water like a shroud. swirling it around their body. Emilio had never seen another magic user in action before. It was kinda interesting watching rather than doing.

It was only as he got closer that he realized it was a woman. He couldn't tell if it was Kaiyi or not because of how dark it was. Something about the sight was enchanting. It was like he couldn't take his eyes from her body. Suddenly she stopped and became very ridged. Emilio knew immidiatly that he had been found out. The woman turned around, and sure enough, it was Kaiyi. It was at this time that Emilio noticed that she wasn't wearing a top. He turned around [B][COLOR="cyan"]"I apologize. I didn't know what you were doing out here."[/COLOR][/B]

He was a little embaraced, but he was even more excited by the whole event. She finally spoke up [B][COLOR="Purple"]"Emilio? Why are you following me?"[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio was smiling from ear to ear, but his back was turned so she couldn't see that [B][COLOR="Cyan"]"I wasn't following you. Just your lead. I'm not big on sleeping. I'd much rather spend my night with the pleasure of a good womans company."[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio let a out a light chuckle, but was really trying to his best at being sincere.

[Lilt]

[COLOR=Indigo][FONT=Book Antiqua]Daly swam in the clear water to soothe her burns from earlier. They were healing fast thanks to the others but they were still irritating her. Also for a fire magic user, she had a strange love of water. Then seeing something ahead of her, she stopped. It looked like a pair of legs but it could have been a trick of the light. It was dark in the water after all. To make sure she wasn't just seeing things, Daly emerged from the water.
"Well it looks like I'm not the only one with this idea." She said after taking a breath.
It was Kaiyi but she was talking to someone. However, like Daly she made no effort to hide her nudity. Daly swam a bit forward and saw the one that was known as Emilio. At least she thought that was his name. She had not done much talking to him before. Since there seemed to be an awkwardness in the air, she decided to try to clear it up by saying something.
"Hi Daly. What are you doing out here?" She asked with a wave.

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko hadn't realized that she had dozed off until Talon shook her awake.
"Shoko, we have a problem, I smell hounds."
"What kind?"
"The worst kind. The kings."
"Son of a Bitch!"
Shoko sprinted towards the camp when a loud shrill howl broke the silence of the night.
"Damnit! Everyone get up and get high, off the ground! Now!"
She grunted as she was boradsided from the right and when her world righted it self she was stareing into a mouth of large teeth.
"Oh boy, long time no see guys."
The hound above her snapped his jaws dangerously.
"Well I'm so sorry for not rolling out the welcome mat but you see it's just that I hate unannounced visitors!"
Grabbing the beast by the top and bottom jaw she pulled it in oppisite dirercitions till she heard the sickening crack of the bones breaking. Throwing the limp animal off of her she stood up and brushed her self off and put her fingers to her lips whisteling loudly. Drago swooped down and lashed his tail out catching another 5 and launching them into the trees.
"Well about time you showed up Drago."
He chuckled and then took a deep breath and then let out a deadly burst of fire. When the smoke cleared and the trees were gone; Shoko blinked as a large pack of the hounds stood in front of her. Their figures massive and their mood bad, the black fur of them made them look evil. The leaded of the pack made its way forwards, the fur on this beast was red as were it's eyes she smiled and went over to her saddle on Drago's back taking out the sword that was there.
"Shoko, it has been years since you've used that..."
"I think it's time it streches it's legs."
The sword glinted in the moonlight, the crystal clear blade completely transparent. She smiled as a few of the normal hounds took a few steps back.
"That's right boys, it's me."
The red one growled loudly and snapped at a lower one making it lunge at Shoko who smiled and spun around with the blade sliceing the animal in two with a sizzle as the blade carterized the wound, she swooped around and into a lethal battle stance smiling, ready for the next attack. She had a feeling that the rest of the group were faceing a similar situation.


Alright everyone, this is your own fight, there is pack of hounds for each of you, the only way to make it go away is to kill the red one, but make it interesting and make it last, other thing, no butting into everyones elses fight, for those of you together you fight together, like me if your on your own, thats it, your on your own. [Zero Sephiroth]

Rei began moving when he became aware of someone else in the river besides Demi and Kaiyi, before he realised it was just two others out of the group as well. He closed his eyes and slumped down against the trunk, his hands fiddling with the gauntlets on either arm to pass the time.

Rei opened his eyes slowly when he heard the low pitch of growling nearby, and almost groaned when he noticed the group of jet black hounds that were now surrounding him. He gradually rose to his feet, the hounds advancing towards him unhurriedly as Rei moved his back away from the tree.

?Out of all the things that I could be fighting now, I?m stuck up against a bunch of angry little puppies. Guess I?ll play with you lot though.? He said as he spun around slowly to see just how many there were. All of the dam hounds around him looked ready to tear his throat out at the first chance they could find.

Rei sighed loudly as he raised his arms in front of him, the gauntlets and greaves twinkling under the light of the moon, as he entered a casual stance. His eyes darted quickly as he examined each hound briefly, before his eyes rested on a larger and crimson red hound that stood out from the rest.

He become aware of the fact that the red hound was right in front of him, stood a little in front of the circle of hounds, and that all of the pack?s heads were leaning a little towards the red one, keeping their eyes on both Rei and the red hound at the same time. Judging from that, Rei guessed it was the leader of the pack.

The leader howled deeply in the air for a moment, before a black hound dashed out from the side and leapt suddenly at Rei, its teeth bared as it aimed to bite into his neck. Rei let out fake gasp of shock when he saw the hound, before he pivoted himself around on his right foot, watching the hound begin to soar past him.

He raised his left leg rapidly and smashed his greave into the chest of the hound, feeling the ribs of the beast cracking easily from the blow. The strike sent the hound flying up into the air, its back colliding into a branch. The hound fell back down to the ground besides Rei?s feet, its limp body not moving anymore.

?Looks like I?m playing a little too rough for you lot to handle. Now isn?t that a shame??

He whistled shrilly into the air, to get Silver?s and Demi?s attention, as he re entered his stance again, trying to keep track of all of the hounds. They didn?t seem too please at what he?d just done, and Rei could feel their bloodlust intensify as they stared at their fallen comrade.

[I]?One down, a few more to go. No doubt the others are in pretty much the same situation. They better not be in over their heads already.?[/I]

[Astdis]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi was doing her best to keep her voice level and calm. [I]The sprite watching her was one thing, but this was getting ridiculous. [/I]

[B]?Please, talk amongst yourself for a moment while I dress.?[/B] She turned her back to them and reached for her shirt and jacket. In that position her dragon tattoo was fully visible, starting at the neck and working it?s way beneath the waist of her pants. Kaiyi was putting on her jacket, listening to the conversation just over her shoulder when she heard the hounds.

They attacked with an unnatural speed. Emilo and Daly took fighting stances that sheltered Kaiyi and started cutting them down. Kaiyi was unarmed, her swords being back at camp. Demi pointed to a nearby tree ,

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][B]?There! There?s a staff of wood there, you could use, hurry!?[/B][/FONT]

Kaiyi pulled herself out of the water and ran for the tree, sweeping up the stick and turning to go back to her companions on the river edge. Demi pulled her hair to get her attention.
[B][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]?Behind you!?[/FONT][/B]

Kaiyi whirled and struck the hound that charged her down at her feet. She matched their unnatural speed, knocking them down at her feet with artful accuracy. When she got a break in the onslaught Kaiyi ran back to Emilo and Daly, positioning herself so they were all back to back. Daly nodded to her and turned back to face the woods,

[B]?There are too many of them.?[/B]

Kaiyi looked at the water and extended a hand over it. [B]?Hang on.? [/B]With a gurgling rushing sound, the water began to rise ?[/COLOR]

Emilio, Daly, and Kaiyi were in a rather bad postion. The damn hounds were closing in on all ends and there was only so much they could do. Kaiyi sounded up [B][COLOR="Purple"]"Hang on!"[/COLOR][/B] She shouted.

There was a warping and twisting of the water and in an instant the water of the river had sprung to life and had surrounded them in what seemed almost like a vortex. The water was rushing and swirling all around them, with the intense current acting as a natural barrier. Emilio looked over his shoulder to Kaiyi [COLOR="Cyan"][B]"Your a water user aren't you? That's quite impressive."[/B][/COLOR]

However, this required a great deal of skill and energy to up hold. Not only that, but the barrier that was keeping the enemy out was keeping them trapped in. Emilio looked up and noticed that the top of the barrier was open maybe only thrity feet from the ground where they stood. Emilio spoke up [B][COLOR="cyan"]"Well, as long as your showing off, I figure I have the right to have a turn at it."[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio began to build up his energy in his feet again. He had never done this with passengers before, but there was no better time to get it right then now. He turned his head and called for the two girls attention [COLOR="cyan"][B]"Alright, both of you. Grab hold of my arms."[/B][/COLOR]

They both looked at him oddly for a moment, but the did as he said. He looked to either one [B][COLOR="cyan"]"Now hold on with all your strength!"[/COLOR][/B]

As he felt there grips tighten, Emilio bent at the knees and pushed off the ground with all the force he could muster. Even with his two passengers he managed to clear the top of the vortex. Daly looked to him [B][COLOR="DarkOrchid"]"What was the point in that? Now what are you going to do?"[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio lifted his right arm that had Daly hanging from it to his mouth and let out a powerful whistle. In the distance Den suddenly appeared from the forest where she had hidden herself, Miles following closely behind. Emilio used more of his strength to try and get a second push in midair to try and close the gap between himself and his dragon.

Den swept in underneath them, catching them out of the air. The girls let go of Emilio's arms and Miles took up his pearch on Emilio's shoulder [B][COLOR="Blue"]"What happend now? I see two women here, one of which is barely dressed and the other seems to have dressed in a hurry. Were you having a party?"[/COLOR][/B]

Miles said in a rather arrogant tone. Emilio smiled to him and pointed down to the ground [B][COLOR="Cyan"]"Not exactly. It would seem we have been found. By who I'm not sure. We need to get back to camp and provide support."[/COLOR][/B]

Den let out a grunt and began to fly off for the camp. Emilio looked back to the girls [COLOR="cyan"][B]"Sorry for the trouble, but unfortunatly I'm not much of a fighter. This is all I could think to do."[/B][/COLOR]

He smiled as he weaved this rather weak excuse, but it was the truth. If given the chance he'd rather run then fight. Kaiyi looked down to the ground [B][COLOR="Purple"]"I've heard of magic users who can manipulate wind and air, but I don't think I've ever seen it used quite like that."[/COLOR][/B]

Emilio looked back in yet another smile [B][COLOR="Cyan"]"I've always wanted to fly, so I've been teaching myself how for many years now. I'm not quite there yet, but I know I'll do it someday."[/COLOR][/B]

Den let out a growl [COLOR="Red"][B]"The camp is just ahead. Be ready."[/B][/COLOR]

The three braced themselves to fight off the hounds that had no doubt already reached the camp. They would jump from Den's back as soon as they were close enough to the ground.

[Akieen Cloud]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko ran through the trees as fast as she could, the sound of paws following behind her. Looking back she saw Talon rip one open.
"Lets move it you two!"
She looked up as a fire ball dropped down behind her and cut off the pack for a moment as she ran, her arm bleeding slightly from a bite wound on her upper arm.
"Damnit, look you guys, we have to do something. I have to get to a cliff where they can't get behind me."
Talon nodded and looked around.
"This way."
She followed him and smiled as he showed her a beautiful waterfall.
"This works, thanks friend."
He nodded and took a stance beside her as Drago did the same. She unsheathed her sword and took a fighting stance. The blade still had steam coming from it from the blood of the hounds that she had killed already. As they entered the clearing she smiled wickedly and swung the sword expertly and waited for them to attack her again. As they did she took them out one by one with the help of Talon and Drago as well and soon it was down to her and the red hound.
"You two go and see how the others are doing will you? Make sure they're holding up aright."
They nodded and took to the air, she smiled and motioned for the red hound to come for her, she was ready.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Zero Sephiroth]

Rei grunted as he leapt backwards, whilst simultaneously delivering a strong right hook to the side of the head of a hound that had lunged at him. A small smirk spread across his face as he felt the skull of the beast begin to shatter from the blow, before Rei activated the mechanism in his gauntlet and popped the blade out, stabbing through its head easily.

He sighed loudly as he tugged the blade out of its head and let the body fall to the floor, before he grimaced as he felt a set of jaws dig deep into his leg, trying to tear a chunk out of him. Rei lashed out with his other leg and caught the hound?s side with the greave, knocking it hard enough for the hound to release its grip with its jaw and knock it away from him.

[I]?Dam?that?s going to be sore later.?[/I]

He glanced down to check himself and the damage he received as he waited for the next attack from the hounds. After a while of attacking one at a time, the hounds had begun to attack in small groups at the same time. Although Rei was able to hit most of them in time to save himself from being hit, one or two would manage to slip by his attacks and land a slash of their claws, or bite from their jaws, on his body.

The wounds weren?t too serious on their own, but altogether Rei could feel them begin to take their toll on him as the blood flowed freely from them.

He looked up suddenly as he heard the sounds of something large begin to smash its way through the trees nearby, before Silver appeared through the trees and ran towards the groups of hounds, clawing and biting at any he could reach. The hounds, confused at what was happening, broke their formation as they all ran at the dragon.

Rei smiled briefly as he watched Silver tear through them easily for a few moments, before glancing over his shoulder when he heard Demi fly over towards him, staying far enough in the air above them to be out of reach of the hounds when they leapt up at her.

?Rei! Thank god you?re still alive! I was so sure you might have been hurt badly or killed or-?
?How are the others??
?The three that were in the river managed to escape, not sure about the other?but there?s something you?ll want to know, that?s kinda important?.?
?What on earth could be so important that you have to tell me right now??

Before she could answer his question, Rei heard a sound that made his blood run cold for a minute. He slowly turned around to see what the cause of the sound was, and was shocked to see another group of hounds behind him, with far more then the group he was currently fighting.

?Yeah?they didn?t quite finish off their group??

Rei examined the new group for a moment, contemplating his situation quickly, before he sprinted into small gap between the group of hounds, whistling twice loudly as he ran past the trees and neared the edge of the river. Silver looked up from the hounds he was killing, before snorting loudly and leapt into the air, soaring in the sky above Rei as Demi followed them as fast as she could, whilst the two groups of hounds turned around and chased after them.

[I]?Dam dam dam! Even with Silver, I?m not sure I could take them all on without me or Silver getting injured badly or worse. The river?s my last chance??[/I]

He dashed into the river and ran through the water till it reached around his waist, spinning around to face the beasts as they too entered the water, charging at him with the vast bloodlust still strong in their eyes.

[I]?Here goes nothing??[/I]

Rei clutched his right arm tightly with his left hand, a look of concentration spread across his face as he began focusing only on the arm. A small grin spread across his face as the skin began to crackle with electricity, bolts of lightning shooting across and around his arm rapidly.

He waited until all of the hounds had gotten into the water, with those at the front of the group mere feet from reaching Rei, before he placed the palm of his right hand on the surface of the water. The lightning flowed smoothly down his arm and shot through the water swiftly, surging strongly through each hound in the water when it reached them.

Rei panted for air as he removed his hand from the surface of the water, watching as just over half of the hounds stopped moving and floated down the river, their bodies unable to cope with the lightning, whilst the rest shook after receiving the large shock, before carrying on charging at him, though slightly slower and more cautiously then last time.

He took one last deep gasp of air, before slowing his breathing down and re-entered his stance as Silver landed besides him once again, ready for one final struggle against the hounds to determine who walked away alive.

[Astdis]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi jumped from the dragon?s back and ran for her part of the camp where her weapons lay. The hounds saw them approaching and formed a charge. Kaiyi kicked the nearest hound in the head and kept running. She dodged, rolled, and came staff in hand. With deadly precision she started cutting a path through the hounds. She could see Emilio and Daly over the hounds heads, fighting their way towards the camp. Kaiyi turned and looked back toward the river[I]? the sprite?[/I]

Kaiyi started to fight her way back to the river. She heard Daly and Emilio call out to her in surprise at this move. Kaiyi shouted over her shoulder to them.

[B]?Rei is only back there because he was concerned for my safety, I?m not going to leave him behind. Try to find the others if you get through.?[/B]
