[Darks Anthro]

As Wolfie was in his makeshift hut, sleeping for it was late, woke up when Draco returned and woke up with a bit of dust.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Achoo, sheesh you could of used the water jug."[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Wolfie, hurry the others are in danger! A pack of unnatural hounds are attacking!"[/COLOR]

Wolfie jumoed up, picked his sword up, and removed a twig that was holding the hut together.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"I knew this would happen. These hounds. Are they black and very fast.? Also. Is their a red one?[/COLOR]

Draco looked confused and shoke her head.

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Yes, thats it! Lets go before they overwhelm the others!"[/COLOR]

Wolfie jumps on Draco and flies towards the camp. As they flew, Woflie thinks.

Wolfie: [COLOR="Yellow"]"So, they finally send them after me. I wonder if its the same garison I trained. If not, I won't spare them. Dam myself for falling asleep! Lets just hope the others havn't gotten hurt yet. Im sure they are doing fine."[/COLOR]

As they came upon the camp, Wolfie could see Emilo, Kaiya, and Daly fighting. Near the river he could see Rei with Silver. Rei looked like he was going to pass out and bleeding bad.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Draco go find Shoko, tell her to head to the mountains I was in. It might help her more than me."[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"How do you know that?"[/COLOR]

Woflie looks at Draco with a look that he only showed once during their relationship.

Wolfie jumps off and lands next to Rei. Draco flies around looking for Shoko.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Well Rei, looks like you need a friend. Mind if I step in and cover for you?"[/COLOR]

Wolfie smiles and laughs as more black hounds surround them with the red one far in the back.

[Astdis]

OOC: the red hound is facing off with Shoko actually.

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi cut a path back toward the river. She felt a dragon go over head and glanced up to see Wolfie jump from it?s back. [I]About time he showed up. She had begun to wonder if he would stay on that mountain and miss the whole thing. Kaiyi had sensed his arrogance before, and was less than impressed by him so far.[/I]

As she knocked the next line of hounds back she got her first look at Rei. [I]He was badly injured, they all had suffered wounds but his were the worst she?d seen so far.[/I] Kaiyi whipped the staff and smacked another group of hounds against the trees. Wolfie was help him fight the hounds, but he was going to bleed out regardless.

[B]?RAH! Rah, I need you!?[/B]

The cat appeared in the tree above her [FONT="Book Antiqua"][I][B]? I?m not coming down there, I?ll be dinner before my paws touch earth?[/B][/I][/FONT]

[B]?I don?t want you to jump down here. Get to the river. You?ll have to get your paws wet, but Rei needs healing. He?s got protection from the hounds for the moment, so you should be able to reach him. Hurry!?[/B]

The cat disappeared; Kaiyi could only hope she?d get to Rei in time. Her eyes burned and she glimpsed over the hounds and through the trees behind them that the sun was beginning to rise.[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]OCC: OKay Dragoon theres one thing I have to make perfectly clear, these hounds are not anything that any of the other characters have seen. They are royal hounds sent for Shoko. Thanks.


Shoko growled as the red hound circled behind the pack, it seemed to be smiling at her, she than heard a strange noise that she knew almost instantly.
"Reed, what are you doing here?"
"Father misses his little girl."
She growled as more hounds came into the light behind him.
"So you came to bring me back?"
"I came to kill you, I know father wants you to take the throne. I will not allow it."
"And you think you are worthy of the throne? A whiney little whelp like you?"
He frowned and nodded to the hounds, they charged her in a massive force, she pushed her self into a well defended position and struck at each on coming at her killing them all in mostly single blows till the red hound jumped down ontop of her, she growled and flipped over onto her back as the hound bared its teeth at her. She had her hand on it's throat keeping it from leaning down and biting her neck when a loud raor was heard, she smiled as she knew Drago's roar and looked up at her brother.
"Your in deep shit now Reed. Drago is goona have a feild day with you."
He smiled as the large black dragon landed next to his master.
"Shoko, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, you wanna lend me a hand."
"I wouldn't all I have to do is use my hound whistle and my hounds will attack and kill the rest of your team Shoko sister."
She growled and punched the red hound in the jaw.
"Fine, between you and I, just us."
He nodded and took out his twin swords facing her.[/FONT][/COLOR]

Wolfie:[COLOR="DarkRed"]"Too many, come on just a bit more longer. If we can stall them till sun rise. we win. Rei, Rei! Speak man come on. You acted tough earlier wheres that spirit?"[/COLOR]

Rei looks at Woflie with SHUT THE HELL UP! look. When Wolfie turned his attention to Rei, a hound attacked. Wolfie takes a dagger and shoves it threw its head. A little bell made its sound and Wolfie looks towards the forest.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"A cat? Wait thats Kaiyi's cat. What in the hell is it doing here?"[/COLOR]

Rah: [COLOR="Orange"]"I'm here to heal Rei. Can you protect me while I am healing him?"[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Yea sure, just make it quick!"[/COLOR]Wolfie thinks. [COLOR="Yellow"]"These are not Western hounds. Their too well trained. their not after me, Shoko."[/COLOR]

[Zero Sephiroth]

Rei watched as Wolfie and Silver fought off the hounds that surrounded them, with Rei kicking away any that got past the other two quickly, before he fell down onto one knee, gasping quickly for air as he felt his body begin to go completely numb, closing his eyes to try and get a better grasp on his condition. It wouldn?t have helped if he?d kept them opened, as his vision had begun to blur.

[I]?Man?these wounds are beginning to get annoying?I can?t even think straight or fast enough, and the dizziness isn?t helping at all. As for that loud buzzing noise in my ears??[/I]

He?d begun to accept that it might have been his time, when he suddenly felt his whole body begin to feel warm and relaxed, as if he?d been lazing around in front of a fire. He opened his eyes steadily, and was astonished to see the gashes and cuts on his body begin to heal over faster then normal.

Rei looked around him, as his vision began to clear up, trying to find what was causing this, and could only make out the hazy outline of a cat near him.

[I]??Like a cat can use healing magic. Don?t even be silly for a moment thinking that Rei??[/I]

He sighed loudly and allowed the healing of his wounds to continue, whilst raising his working arm to the side of his head and grasping it gently, as the odd noise in his head began to get louder and clearer with each passing second.

OOC: Rah is no one’s pet, thus no bell, she’s not a normal cat :catgirl:

[COLOR="Indigo"][FONT="Book Antiqua"][SIZE="3"][I]Rah looked at Rei and shook her head, but said nothing too him. She could hear his thoughts, but needed to concentrate on healing him, and he wouldn’t be the last to need aid. These mutts were more trouble than they were worth[/I].[/SIZE][/FONT]

Kaiyi glanced back and realized she was over a hill and could no longer see how Daly and Emilio were faring. The hounds were defiantly thinning out, their ranks far fewer than when they had first attacked.[I] For a moment, she saw a clear path toward the river.[/I] She broke through and ran toward Wolfie and Rei. When she was a few yards away, she yelled and got their attention.

[B]“Move! Draw them into the river!”[/B]

A skeptical look crossed Wolfie’s face. But only for a moment. Rei had already begun to pull himself onto the opposite bank. Wolfie kept his back to Rei and walked backward, knocking the hounds back, yet more were drawn into the river by the smell of blood.

Kaiyi reached the bank and tossed her staff aside balancing her hands over the water. Closing her eyes she pulled on every ounce of energy she had left and thrust it through her hands. With a startling crashing noise, the river seemed to bunch itself up and in another second it crashed down on the hounds, washing them swiftly downstream in such a torrent she felt sure they would drown. She stood and smiled across at Rei and Wolfie. And then, with a shiver, she fell back on the bank[I]... darkness…[/I][/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Thanks Kaiyi. Kaiyi!"[/COLOR]

Kaiyi collapses on the other side and Runs to her.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Kaiyi, are you ok?"[/COLOR]

Kaiyi: [COLOR="Blue"]"Just tired. Thats all."[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Thanks for doing that. I really appreciate it. Just let me know if their is anything i can do to return the favor. For now, just rest. We are safe for now."[/COLOR]

Wolfie takes his shirt off and rolls it into a pillow then slips it under Kaiyi;s head.

Wolfie thinks: [COLOR="Yellow"]"I hope Draco got to Shoko. I should just listen to her and stayed. Im an idiot."[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko stumbled into the clearing a dagger sticking from her theigh.
"We have to get out of her, now. We have to find somewhere else to go...my brother is on his way here." Rei blinked as she ripped the dagger from her leg and threw it behind him nailing a hound in between a hounds eyes.
"Move it!"
She limped over to a tree and knocked on it three times smileing as Talon swooped down and stood beside her.
"Where is Drago?
"He's keeping Aopocolypse busy."
"Reed is the one who attacked you?!"
"Yeah, I know, its amazing. I didn't think he could ever find me."
Talon schreeched as another hound landed infront of them and swiped down across sliceing it in two.
"Look, we have to get out of this clearing."
As she said this a young man walked into the clearing, his smiled wide and deadly, a large sword wound across his front."
"Well well my sister, you tried to get away from me didn't you?"
She growled and drew her sword as the others stood with the exception of Astdis.
"Everyone stay out of it, this is my fight."
She parried as her brother charged her and pushed her back, her feet slideing in the dirt. She barred her teeth and pushed back against him and threw him back into a tree and before he could act she shoved her sword through his stomach and winced as his went through her shoulder. She flipped to the side and hit the dirt breathing heavily.
"I'm still saying we have to get out of here soon, his dragon won't be away for long and once he comes to find my brother and finds him dead, we'll be the dead ones." S
She looked up at the others waiting for a response.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Astdis]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi was having trouble clinging to consciousness.[i] They were together now, the sky was getting brighter by the minute. Shoko was talking then… a fight… Shoko’s brother…dead… get out of here…[/I]
[B]“Wait” [/B]Kaiyi pushed herself into a sitting position on the ground. Rah rubbed up against her legs and starred at her, waiting. [B]“We all need healing or there’ll be nothing to kill. Rah can help there.”[/B] Rah turned to Shoko first. Kaiyi allowed herself to close her eyes… [I]just for a second…[/I]

When she awoke, Emilio was shaking her by the shoulder. [B]“Good, you had us worried, don’t need our guide dying on us now.”[/B]
Kaiyi pushed herself up gingerly, letting Emilio help her to her feet. She was healed, just, unsteady. She felt firmness and strength slowly returning to her muscles. [I]She had to talk to Shoko.[/I]
The camp was packed, everyone was gathered on the edge of the woods with their dragons. Kaiyi approached Shoko who was strapping her bag onto her dragon’s back.
[B]“If we fly we’ll make better time, but we must lose ground also. We can not stay in the open, we’ll be easy targets. I suggest the mountains. Fly in their shadow, they too follow the river. We'll be there by night fall.”[/B]
Shoko nodded and then looked at Kaiyi with a very serious stare. [B]“What we’re after, we could put your family in danger for a piece of information, following an artifact that is most probably no longer there. Are you sure about this?”[/B]
Kaiyi glance toward the path they were headed on, and nodded [B]“She knows where it is, and she will tell me. It is not a wasted trip, I feel it.”[/B]
Shoko smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder giving it a light squeeze[B] “Then let’s go get it.”[/B]
Kaiyi smiled and back toward Dar, braiding her long hair for the flight.[/COLOR]

OOC: Anyone feel free to fill in the space that Kaiyi was unconscious for. Knuckles Girl, I hope you don't mind my moving things along a little :catgirl:

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Right Shoko. Mountains are the best cover. I'd never think of that. Just let me get Draco."[/COLOR]

Shoko: [COLOR="Magenta"]Hurry! We don't have much time.[/COLOR]

Wolfie just nodes his head in a yes fasion then calls Draco.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Draco I need you once more."[/COLOR]

Draco comes out of the mountains and lands near Wolfie.

Draco: [COLOR="Sage"]"Well I missed the action. Sorry I had to find some rock for something"[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"You still do that? Man you dissapear when things go wrong. Anyways I've packed and we are going. Stay low and follow Shoko through the mountains."[/COLOR]

Wolfie picks his pack up and jumps on Draco. Then takes out an item and gives it to Draco.

Wolfie whispers to Draco: [COLOR="DarkBlue"]"When we camp next time I want you to take this and fly back to Jessy. Fly their as fast as you can. Then get back here. I have a funny feeling that we won't be alone for a while."[/COLOR]

Draco whispers back: [COLOR="Navy"]Ok Wolfie. I will.[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Rei, you feeling ok? You lost alot of blood."[/COLOR]

Rei: [COLOR="LightBlue"]"Yea I'll be fine."[/COLOR]

Rei jumps onto Silver and takes off into the air.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Man, its going to be a long flight. Ok, everyone. Im a know-it-all so deal with it. Just fly low but not too low. Watch out for boulders and anything that doesn't look natural."[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi rolled her eyes as she climbed on Dar’s back and felt Rah shift in her bag.

[B][FONT="Book Antiqua"][SIZE="3"]--- Huh, you would think we were headed to [I]his[/I] village ---[/SIZE][/FONT][/B]

Kaiyi smirked in spite of herself and push Dar to the lead next to Shoko.

[B][I]A group of dragon riders descending on the village, you’re going to be the talk of the town for the rest of the season.[/I][/B]

Kaiyi shook her head[B] “Dar, we’ll be lucky if grandmother doesn’t try to lynch us”[/B]

She could feel rather than see Dar smile. Kaiyi scanned the sky, they should have a clear shot. [I]By night she’d be setting foot inside house for the first time since her father’s death. She wondered how much had changed since then.[/I][/COLOR]

[Zero Sephiroth]

Rei yawned loudly as he lay back on the back of Silver, Demi flying over and sitting on Rei?s stomach when she landed, the buzzing noise in his head having died down once the fight had ended. The three of them stayed at the back of the group, bringing up the rear as usual.

[I]?Well, that was amusing. At least I got to see what the others are capable of, and Silver seems to be in a better mood for now??[/I]

??What was wrong with you earlier, other then the cuts and bites from the big puppies? You were clutching your head really tightly??

A frown spread across his face as he raised his head up to stare at her, the look softening slightly when he saw the look of concern in Demi?s eyes.

?I?ve told you about it before. That buzzing sound that keeps bugging me?You know which one I mean??
?Oh?That one?Did you-?
?No. Don?t worry about it. It won?t get as far as last time again, for a while. I promise.?

He placed his head back down and closed his eyes as Demi smiled and curled up on his stomach, unsure of whether he would actually be able to keep that promise he'd just made now.

Wolfie yawns as they fly no more like weaving thruogh the mountains. He takes a big bottle of pink lotion and starts putting it on Dracos head.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Here, your head looks really dry."[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"Thank you Wolfie. I really appreaciate the concern."[/COLOR]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Oh your welcome. Could you fly me close to Daly please?"[/COLOR]

Draco: [COLOR="Pink"]"What for? Is it something on your mind?"[/COLOR]

Wolfie looks embaressed about what he is going to say.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Um, sort of. Just something I carry around that was important to her people. Maybe she could use it. Im terrible at spells."[/COLOR]

Draco nods her head and flies up to Daly and her dragon.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Daly, here take this. I have been keeping it for a long time. It was imortant to you and your people and I have no right to keep anymore."[/COLOR]

Wolfie hands a scroll over to Daly then flies back to where he was.

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko flew in close to Wolfie and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey Wolfie, shut the hell up! Kaiyi is leading us it is her village not yours! I swear the next time you make a remark as if you lead this group and you know everything I will fong you where you stand!"
She threw a large piece of stale bread hitting him in the side of the head for emphasis. and felw low and ahead of the others looking for any sign that the rest of her bothers might have caught their trail. She was satisfied when she saw no evidence she flew next to Talon and smiled as he looked up.
"Do you think this is a good idea Shoko? Trusting these people?"
"We don't have much of a choice Talon, haven't we discussed this before?"
"I believe so, but I will continue to ask till I see reason to trust them."
"And the hounds weren't enough?"
"Honestly, for me, no. Anyone can kill a royal guard hounds, they are annoying to a point of wanting to kill them."
"We'll see when it gets down to it. We will see who is your friend and your enemy."[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Darks Anthro]

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Ow! Shoko, all you had to do was just tell me sheesh. NOT THROW STALL LOFE OF BREAD AT ME! Man maybe I should just stop trying to be helpful and just lay back."[/COLOR]

Wolfie picks the stale bread and starts to think. This flight from running away from whatever tried to kill them last night was sure to be long be hind them. The path ahead was long and dull. No fun, so why not start a little fun.

Wolfie: [COLOR="DarkRed"]"Hey Emilo catch!"[/COLOR]

Wolfie tosses the stale bread as a football to Emilo so they could at least get some exercise in the upper torso. Unfortunatly Eimilo wasnt paying attention and got hit square in the back of his head.

Rei sat up straight slowly as he watched the rest of the group, Demi grunting as she rolled off quickly from his stomach and onto Silver?s back, whilst he began sighing loudly as he observed the rest of the groups? actions and what they were up to.

?So immature?I?m surprised I?ve had the patience to stand being around you lot this long??

He spoke it just loud enough for the rest of the group to hear, a small smirk spreading across his face as he lay back down onto the dragon?s back, staring up at the sky above them as they carried on through the air.

?So, how much longer till we reach this village??

[B][COLOR=Indigo][FONT=Book Antiqua]OOC: I hope you guys don't mind if I move it forward some hours.

[/FONT][/COLOR][/B][COLOR=Indigo][FONT=Book Antiqua]It was just starting to get dark. Daly watched as the sun begin to set. Suddenly Wolfie flew next to her.
"Daly, here take this. I have been keeping it for a long time. It was important to you and your people and I have no right to keep it anymore." He said as he handed her a scroll.
Daly looked a little confused but then managed to say thank you.
[COLOR=Navy]"Is that what I think it is Daly?" [COLOR=Indigo]Varick asked her.
"Yes it is Varick. I never thought I would see this again."
Daly looked it over. On this scroll were written all of the spells of her people. If she uttered one of these then she would be able to learn the spell. However some of them were very dangerous. She read off the spell to learn how to breathe fire and then as thee words lit up she rolled up the scroll and put it away. It would certainly come in handy later. However seeing this scroll again brought back so many bad memories. Daly lay down on Varick's back and started to cry softly.

[B]OOC: I'll let one of you guys land us at our destination. I didn't want to move things too far forward.[/B]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko moved Drago beside silver and smiled at Rie.
"You know, it is said that the most annoying people in your life become the ones you love the most."
"Hmph, where in the seven hells did you hear that?"
"My late fiance. He was the annoying one in my life...he got on my nerves to the point I wanted to kill him. And I did the same to him. We got into a huge fight one day and he pinned me down, his sword to my throat and asked me to be his. I said yes of corse. But it wasn't a week after that he was killed in the war."
"Is that why you fight? Revenge?"
She snorted lightly.
"I do not believe in revenge. I fight to keep it from happening to anyone else. That happened to me a year ago. It's why I hate this war, it's why I fight it."
She became silent and watched as the others flew along waiting till they were told to stop.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Astdis]

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi strained to see in the twilight. They were just breaking the trees and coming over her village, but she had to be sure she could land everyone safely,[I] and hopefully not attract unwanted attention.[/I] She chose the coast line as their best bet as the fishermen should be in for the season.

She reached in her bag and pulled out a flair so everyone could easily follow her lead to the ground.

Dar shifted his wings uncomfortably when they landed. [B][I]This doesn?t feel very friendly.[/I][/B]

Kaiyi patted his neck ?[B]Tensions have risen because of the war. Too many sons haven?t returned.?[/B] She turned to the group that was dismounting a gathering behind her.

[B]?Ok, the house I?m going to is near the center of town. Anyone is free to accompany me. If you would rather stock up on supplies or get food and drink at the Inn that?s fine, however for the Westerners here I would recommend keeping a low profile. You may be safer with me or staying with your dragon.?[/B]

Everyone started talking amongst themselves Shoko approached her [B]?I thought your father was a westerner, are they not more tolerant here??[/B]

Kaiyi sighed and shrugged [B]?Used to be. But I have no way of knowing if that?s changed. Dar said he felt a chill over the town, I feel it to. It?s grief. This place has been hit hard by the war.?[/B]

Shoko nodded [B]?I think I?ll go with you. Come, let?s see what the others have decided.?[/B][/COLOR]

[Zero Sephiroth]

Rei patted the top of Silver?s head as the dragon laid down on the ground and closed his eyes, beginning to fall asleep already, whilst Rei thought about what Kaiyi had said, contemplating what he was to do now as Demi flew over and sat down on his shoulder.

?Well, as much as I?d like to stay here with the dragons, I?m rather hungry, and I need to replace some things, so I think I?ll risk it. Don?t worry; I?m not the kind to draw attention to myself in public...Though I could name a few people who do.?

He glanced over at Demi on his shoulder, who returned the look and sighed loudly as she realised who he was talking about, jumping off and landing on the back of Silver as Rei turned to look back at the group.

?Besides, it?s not like I?m going to have any problems defending myself if something does happen whilst I?m out there.?

He sat down on the ground leaning against Silver, removing the gauntlets off his hands and the greaves off his feet, placing them in a bag on the side of Silver whilst looking up at them.

"....Unless someone's willing to buy the stuff I need and bring them down to me?"

[COLOR="Indigo"]Kaiyi shrugged[B] ?I don?t care what you do. I never doubted any of you could defend yourselves, I?d just rather you didn?t get into a situation where you?d need to. I want to do what we came here for and move on quickly and with as little trouble as possible.?[/B]

Rei nodded [B]?I agree. I?ll stay low profile, promise.?[/B]

Kaiyi smiled [B]?Thank you.? [/B][I]This is going to be hard enough as it is.[/I][/COLOR]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Shoko sat in a nearby tree watching the others converse here and there and looked at the pendant she kept under her shirt, her family crest, proof of her blood line. She looked up as a loud screech rent the air above them. She stood and waited as the small falcon landed next to her, a small roll of paper tied to its leg.Taking it off she read it slowly twice over and sighed as her shoulders relaxed and she felt alot of tension run from her body, Talon looked over at her.
"Good news?"
"It would seem as though Anthem and Bryon are tailing us covering our tracks."
"I knew I liked them for a reason."
She laughed and leaned on the tree, a true smile on her face.
"It has been a long time since I have seen you smile Shoko, not since Exodus' death."
Her smile faded and she looked up at the stars, her eyes distant now.
"You think he would be proud of me?"
"I have no doubt in my mind Shoko, he loved you with all his heart."
