Personally, I am of the opinion that this is a silly kind of non-topic, but I'm all for finding an excuse to bash on Gwen Stefani. That chick is nuts and is slowly on the decline and I'm all for kicking a person when there down. Hell, that's the easiest time to do it.

Damn right. That's why her perfume smells like armpit...(I don't actually know if it smells like armpit but who cares?)

Avenged666fold, we can clearly see your dislike for Gwen Stefani in general. I got it the fifth time personally, but maybe that's just me. I am merely joking, no flaming intended.

This is totallly funny in an exaggerated sort of way. I'm a huge Death Note fan and I can see how using an Olde English L is kind of linked to being with L, but the truth of the matter is, it's just an asethetic choice by both people in this case. No more, no less.

Personally, I congratulate Gwen on being so different in her music. Not saying that I like all of it (I thought Hollaback Girl was wayyyyy toooo overplayed), but I can at least give props to her for being different than other people. Plus I think it's her choice whether she wants to continue on her Ska/Alternative band kick with No Doubt or do her little R and B/ Pop stuff by herself. The chick sells records no matter what she does, so I believe the last laugh belongs to her.

She could easily retort "Who has more than a million dollars me or you?"

I mostly don't like her cuz the people I hate use her songs as like...examples of what all music should be like. And I actually don't like her solo music (oop there I go again...)

Pretty much. It struck me, so I brought it up.

Actually, I thought she was Madonna for a second, which raises an interesting question: why does Gwen do that?

Damn ugly woman and her non-music... ever since that one video I was never able to say 'kawaii' without feeling bad. Like, I was always thinking someone would think I got it from a Gwen Stefani video or something. Yes, I'm paranoid about things like that.

However, now that I know enough japanese to be able to say 'super kawaii' without the 'super' and with any number of additional japanese expressions added onto 'kawaii' it no longer sounds like anything she says, and therefor I am cotented.

You may all point the 'weeaboo' finger at me now. I'm proud of it.

Apart from the fact that I think Gwen Stefani has been one of the more innovative pop artists of recent years (objectively speaking - I wouldn't say I like much of her music), I do agree with what many are saying here in that this is really a moot point.

Don't forget that many anime producers frequently rip off western ideas/concepts in their art. I don't think Gwen Stefani has actually ripped something off as much as she's used a fairly common typeface. I'm sure you'll find many other examples of it elsewhere.

Apart from that, I don't see much of a reason to hate someone I don't even know. I never understood that. Hate is a very strong word.

Again, I'm beaten to the punch. Unless you're Japanese or of Japanese decent...it was never cool to say kawaii, ever. It's like all of those people who think that using French terms in their sentences makes them more refined or something like that.

Personally I don't think that there is anything wrong with Gwen Stefani's Obsession with Japanese culture. People wanna throw in the "celebrity factor" and say that because she's a public figure, her obsession with anything is bad. Is it really any less bad for you to be obessed about anything? No matter what it is? Celebrities are people too and they all have their little obessions. Again, I salute Gwen for being different and choosing to stay that way.

I second James opinion of hating Gwen Stefani. You can dislike her music or her style or the way she looks....but hating her for those reasons is simply shallow. Let's try to look at personality here, the true "Gwen" underneath it all.

It honestly amazes me sometimes what some people will take the time to hate. Who gives a damn about random celebrity 'X' that doesn't write her own music, and sold out on her own art to make freeze-dried music rations for the opiated masses?

Celebrity hate is just like celebrity love. And it's all a tragic disease endemic in our culture called 'celebrity worship'. Very few of the rich and famous actually do anything that matters on any legitimate level; why, then, should we really care?

If they have talent, or if they help the world with their money or influence, that's great. But aside of that, why give more than a dismissive wave of the hand to them? That's all most of them would do for you.

1. No, she's hideous. Along with all the fake-*** hollywood *******.
2. Like I give a **** how they feel about it.

And Kam, as for taking the time to hate her, it's a hatred that only manifests for entirely brief time periods in which her sound impedes on my peace by way of whatever angular situation. And because my mother is a pop culture deity who sees fit to bash on whoever celebrity's face flitters aross the screen long enough for her to spew rabid insults, and when I'm in a chatty mood to bond with my mom, we do so over celeb-bashing and if there's one whore my mom hates more tan any it's likely Gwen for wearing ugly dresses and ruining Alice in Wonderland (my mom's faovrite movie) and Fiddler on the Roof (her favorite musical) though be damned if it isn't a fickle hate because she and her she-friends will dance their ***** off to If I Were a Rich Girl every time they've had more than a sip to drink, but fickle hate is hate nonetheless, and something I have in surplus cuz I'm an agsty lil' bastard.

Now if you'll excuse me I'll be listening to 2112 and reassuring myself that people who listen to mainstream music can be likened to enjoying having sandpaper scraped across their eardrums.

Well, when i say mainstream I mean everyone-and-their-virtual-grandma is tuned in, more specifically the youth of the US or people I have to deal with, none of which seem to have ever heard of Rush judging by the reactions to my T-shirts and badgering, so as far as I'm concerned they aren't as mainstream as they damn well ought to be, otherwise the annoying girls in the back of the bus would be squealing about a brilliant red barchetta from a better, vanished time rather than about whether or not their a ****ing hollaback girl, which is still a term I lack understanding of. I hate Gwen Stefani, and I'll hate her perfume. I'd rather buy Scent de ****-stain from a prostitute in the Las Vegas ghetto. I don't know what hte **** a hollaback girl is, so WHAT IS SHE?

I hate her for turning pop into a festival of spoiled talent, luckily I don't swim in that genre pool. I hate her more than I hate Avril Lavigne, and I hate Avril Lavigne. I feel sorry for the Gorillaz having Fool Good Inc. placed on that Now album with Gwen. I'd rather bask in a vat of my own urine, then be on a 'Hits' CD with her.

My brother thinks she's hot... she looks like a pale doll that got shot in the face by a 22, then assulted by rabid squerrels. THAT is how ugly she is. A girl you should see is Pink. Pink is hot, Pink has talent, and Pink has the only pop song that I like.
You should. And honestyl, Pink is better than Gwen. Even though they both suck at terrible levels. You may have been comming up Pink, but the talent of you pop artists is going down.
Hey at least Pink made that one song....they play it in the gay clubs around here a lot or so I hear. Now what is that songs name...something about a party...

I just refered to that song, I think it's I'm Comming Up. Ironic they play I'm Comming Up for gays... "I'm Comming out so you better get the party started, I'm comming out I'm comming..." oudns better. Yes I remember the line from that Pink song. I used to be a rap/pop luver... thank god those days are over.

Celebs and their qwuirky lyrics. Oh did you hear Jamie Lyn Spears is pregnant? GREAT! We can have a new Britney running around. Come on, cover your stump before you hump.
