WARNING: This RPG will contain strong violance, strong language, sexual themes and references, religious themes and refferences, and oather materlial. Descretion is advised.

NOTE: Prophetism is like Christianity a lot, however most of the stuff you will read is made up for fantasy effects.

"Move your fat ass Grandma!" hollered a voice. An old woman looked behind her to see an emo kid, who was standing silent. He was blushing in embarrassment.

"Why you little cretin!" The old woman yelled as she smacked the boy with her purse. "How dare you say such vulgarities in a church of god!" She said as she stomped away in a huff. The boy just put his head down and shook it.

"Zenos, do you ever think of maybe, I don't know, acting like a priest and not a jackass." The boy said to himself. The boy's name was Endorph, but his friends called him Endy for short. Endy had silver hair, black eyes and he wore black all the time. He always had tight pants on, and he was always listening to music. Oddly, he was in the Church of Prophetism in his home town of Kirkwind, and he was about different than most of teenagers at the church. But, he also hung out with the outcasts of the Church in his town. Also, he was stuck with the worst Prophet, Zenos. Zenos was a smart-ass, he was cocky and he showed off often.

Over 500 years ago, Zenos was sealed away into an ancient sword, which is now in Endy's possession. Anyways, Endy was pretty much the underlings of the church. But it was his destiny to be partnered with Zenos, like all people who have Prophets, he his stuck with Zenos until death.

"No, actually I can't. When you have godly powers like me, you have nothing cooler to do than to show off your shit!" Zenos hollered. He could choose if people heard him or not, and he chose not to keep to just himself and Endy. But no, instead, the whole building heard him. They looked back at him and gave dirty looks left and right, Endy looked around and frowned. "You ass-munchers got something to say about me and Endy? Eh?" A few seconds of silence ensued. "That's what I thought you church whipped pussies, yeah keep-"

"Silence Zenos!" hollered the paster. Father Donello was different from most priests. He didn't care if someone wasn't Prophian. despite this, the town of Kirkwind was NOT excepting of those who were say, pagan. In fact, people who were gay, or belonged to other religion, were often ridiculed for it. But with people like Father Donello and Endy, it wasn't completely bad. Donello was also excepting of Endorph in particular. you see, Endy listened to heavy Metal, and other types of Rock music that the town didn't really 'enjoy.' In fact, the town of Kirkwood was obsessed with country. But father Donello didn't' care about that, he only cared about what was on the inside. Endy was a broken child, he lives in the church because he's orphaned, and Donello doesn't want to make that worse.

"Anyways, today, we get ready for the yearly journey to the Sacred City of Helia, where a pool of holy energy rests. Here, all of you will be able to bask in the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ's holy spirit energy. The energy from which has kept him alive in the body of Lord High-Priest Jonathan Veldomeer of France. We will pray there and give energy to him, so that he may speak to us. We will leave on the flight tomorrow at sun-rise. Pack up, for we shall head to Yurope for a feast, then the pilgrimage shall begin." father Donello bowed and walked to him chambers. It was time to leave, as everyone in the church did, except for Endorph.

After everyone was gone, Endy found himself alone standing, he decided to lay down on one of the pews. "Damn, it's hard to believe, after 500 years, that bearded fucker hasn't just slipped and fell into the water..." Zenos said.

"What do you mean Zenos, why do you have a grudge against Jesus?"

"Think Endy, THINK!" Zenos hollered inside Endy's head. Endy felt a jolt of pain go down his spine. "It's because of him, and his damn father, that I'm in this dumb body to begin with. Just because I didn't act 'holy like my brothers', the bastard sealed me away." A moment of silence surrounded the church. It was 7 P.M. and the clock tower rung. It chimed for a few seconds, than Zenos spoke op. "Anyways you sac of lifeless meat, why not go jerk-off in the bathroom, shoot the picture of Jesus for me, and get to bed. You need the rest."

It didn't seem like it, but Zenos cared for Endy a lot.

-------

Get to it guys, we are trying to go to Yurope to either stop the Pilgrimage for personal reasons, or to go on it. This is how our characters will meet.

"Dammit I can't believe now after all that shit of going through a damn ritual that now I have to go to yet another damn ritual!!" Jonathan yelled as he stormed across the rain-soaked lawn. The day had been any other usual one in his hometown located on the Eastern seaboard during the summer. Rain, rain, and the occasional warm day.

"Calm down Jonathan. This time you might be able to get the answers you want about how a demon could pierce a ritual like ours and possess your brother." Michael's calming voice echoed in the young-man's head.

"Yeah, yeah.. God dammit!! I'm really pissed off about this. I don't want to leave home on some damn pilgrimage. It just seems too cliche for me..." The young man muttered to himself and yet at the same time it seemed more like he was trying to convince himself that he didn't want to go. Yet in the long run he did.

While Jonathan changed into his normal clothes Michael still chimed in the boy's mind, "Look, just go for my sake if not for your own personal sake. It could be educational..." The young knight said in a convincing tone. Jonathan sighed in a defeated manner as he stuck his wallet into his pocket and grabbed his car keys.

"You know, you're right. I should just give this a chance. But tonight I'm going to go out for one last hurrah and hopefully have some fun. Though I don't know. I mean it just seems so hokey that right after this ritual...."

"JONATHAN! Are you implying that God all mighty himself is up to some sort of scheme?! Never have I heard such blasphemy from you! You should put your trust in faith at least a little!"

"Look where that got you though Michael.. Excommunicated from the church itself and slaughtered for doing something right..." With this the young Templar fell silent and shook his head. The conversation was over on the subject. Jonathan would go but not to the point of excitement though it could provide some answers about his brother.

"Well, I guess I should start packing before we leave." With that he started to gather some clothes up for his flight.

I hope that was okay.

Julian hated airports. They were always so messy and you never knew if the person beside you in line was a pagan or a heretic. Luckily, all he had to do was stay in the hotel across from the airport.

Even so, he couldn't resist a smoke. Julian's prophet, Calvin, sat watching the young blond man dragging on his cigarette. "And you make fun of me for burning. I'll be amazed if you survive the trip TO Helia. It'll be a Godsend if you make it back."

Julian just layed down and stared at the ceiling. A few minutes passed before he replied. "I hope the Lord will save my lungs when we get there." Calvin didn't argue because he was probably serious. The man never joked when acknowledging the higher power.

So he opted for the easy out, "How long are we going to wait here?"

"Until the Kirkwind pilgrimage leaves the city."

"Smart ass. When are they getting here?"

"Soon I hope. And," before the satyr could ask, "We're going to sit in the arrivals section every day until then. Father Alder said it would be within the week." With that, Julian closed his eyes and starting drifting off to sleep. He later paid for not putting out his cigarette with a burned shirt.

(OOC: This is all I could think of.)

The grass swayed gently in the wind, the sea of lush, green vegetation was a beautiful sight. All of the plant life was flourishing in this place, as the wind caused the tall grasses to bend and form a wave a loan patch refused to yield against the wind, a patch of grassland that wasn't allowed to bend, the weight on top of it was keeping down while the loan young man looked into the sky. His hands behind his head and his left ankle was placed on top of his right knee. He bounced his foot casually as he stared into the blue sky, clouds breaking the blue her and there. But, he could tell that the winds were blowing in a storm towards his home. He simply sighed as he listened to the wind.

"We could be doing something more productive with our time Hunter." Hunter laughed a little, a friendly smile on his face.

"Well, this is productive for me. Gives me time to get away from the busy life of everyday things. Besides, Obsidian gets a good stretch out here. He has all the freedom to fly around as he pleases." Abaddon sighed at him.

"You should still get a move on soon, we can't miss this pilgrimage to see the great one himself."Hunter let out a loud laugh.

"Oh yes, he is the great one. He has been alive for too long, he was meant to die. But, he still lives, I see that as unnatural and completely wrong." Abaddon chuckled.

"It is indeed unnatural. But, none the less, we must see him. He is a symbol of the great Prohetism faith. It would be good for your unclean soul to see someone as pure as him." Hunter just shook his head at Abaddon, and rolled his shoulders. Soon enough he let out a heavy sigh and sat up, as he did, a massive shadow passed over him and he watched as the great Roc flew over and passed him. He smiled as he placed two fingers at the tip of his mouth and blew, letting out a loud and high pitched whistle. The Roc instantly turned and dove for the ground, landing gently and perfectly in front of Hunter. The Roc's feathers were a gold color with reddish tint hidden in the plumage. Its crest was clear and flamboyant to all who ever saw him, the harnesses strapped across its back and body remained secure and didn't hinder the legendary birds flight or the riders ability to control him.

He pet Obsidian on the side of the head, the bird twisted and turned to get the best scratch it could possibly get from his rider. It cooed and let out pleasant noises as it received much wanted attention. Hunter simply smiled and continued to marvel at the coloring, size, and affection the animal showed toward him. But soon enough, he heard the sound of Abaddon clearing his throat. Hunter simply sighed.

"Alright, fine. We will head toward the airport to meet up with that group. From there I can learn where we are landing and have Obsidian meet us there." Abaddon grinned as he nodded at Hunter.

"Sounds fair, young Wing Rider." Hunter grabbed the gloves that were securely attached to the harness and covered up his calloused hands. Then fluidly mounted the bird, he secured the straps and made sure eh was tightly secured. He gripped the reigns and gripped them in one hand as tugged a little on them, Obsidian spread his wings and instantly took off into the sky. Holding its legs close as it soared higher and higher. Until it reached the proper altitude and coasted on the air ways, the Roc was easily going forty miles an hour, but from up in the sky, it seemed like they were just floating along. Just watching the world below them go on about their lives as the Wing Riders soared the skies. He smiled as he felt that rush of freedom and let out a boisterous laugh as he guided the Roc toward his home first.

He needed to inform both his parents that he was leaving, and that Obsidian was going with him. He could only imagine how that discussion would go along with his parents, he thought about a few possibilities. The most apparent and likely were either his parents would immediately reject the idea, or would be very pleased he was taking and interest in seeing the holiest man in the world. He would find out soon enough. He thought to himself as he was gently coming down to his home, getting ready to pack his bags and set off on an adventure he would never experience again in his life.

Wrest sat silently upon the grassy lawn of a windmill on the outskirts of Helia, the holy city. He watched as those who entered through the city gates were checked for travel passes, a seeming necessity in these Burning Times. The Prophetists feared their holy city would be tainted, should any heretics be allowed inside. Now, one could not come by a pass unless specifically authorized by a local Prophetist authority, and the gift was rare enough among the faithful. For Wrest, branded a heretic, it was an impossibility.

A young woman, lithe and strangely out of place on the springtime hill, sat beside him and leaned a head on his shoulder. "Wrest, you come here every day. Don't fume over the fact they won't let you in. The Burning Times will pass. Soon they'll let us return, just wait."

Wrest did not reply. He merely sat and watched the flow of people in and out of the city. He knew that once the night fell, the gates would close and the lines dissipate, leaving only silence. Highwaymen and thieves were out at night, and travel was considerably more dangerous. They knew many of the pilgrims bore gold and other precious things to give as offerings unto their god. It didn't help that cars and other niceties of the kind were not allowed within 10 miles of the city walls.

"Wrest? Are you listening?" asked the woman, leaning into him. "They'll stop persecuting us eventually, Wrest. They have to. The burnings in the square will stop one day, and all the Prophetists will see their folly. Just you wait..." she said, weakly, as a roar erupted from beyond the city gates.

The mad crowd beyond tugged eagerly at a man bound in rags and chains, fixing him to a wooden cross in the midst of the town square. They bound his wrists and ankles with rope, pouring kerosene onto his body. A chant emerged from the crowd, indistinguishable at the distance, but Wrest knew the hate and excitement of the voices, the zealotry and vigor that made his blood run cold. Finally, a man dressed in red robes (the garb of the Prophetist clergy) would stand before the cross, lighting it with magical flame.

Wrest turned away, looking to the woman beside him. "Isa, let's return home."

OOC: Apologies for the brevity. It's late.

CHAPTER 2: THE POOL

After a few hours in flight, Endorph and Zenos arrived in Helia's airport. Endorph grabbed his stuff and walked out of the airport. The people stared at him like he was a freak, Zenos kept telling Endy to say something like 'may the devil have your soul,' and 'don't make me cast a hex on you!' Endy just rolled his eyes. He looked down at hate ground as he walked to escape the staring.

While Endy was starring at the ground, a girl who was running toward the airport crashed into him. They both landed with a thud. Endy looked at the girl, she was wearing black, and her hair was very long. Her eyes were covered in mascara, she was rubbing her head in pain. She had MP3 headphones in, and she was listening to to some rock, which was good for a change.

Hey, look at her Endy! Maybe if you play your cards right, you could get in her pants. Zenos said. However, as usual, he didn't know that he was saying that out loud.

"Excuse me sir!" The girl hollered.

"Sorry miss, it's my Prophet, he tends to be an ass most of the time, no, ALL of the time. Oh, and sorry for not looking where I was going." Endy apologized and grabbed the girls hand. He picked her up and scratched his head.

"Oh it's okay, I should have moved int eh first place. Oh, the name is Lacrina, I'm from Yurope. How about you?" The girl asked smiling. Her body gave of an aroma that smelled like peaches and love. But how Endy knew the scent was beyond him.

"My name is Endorph, I'm from the United States. Nice to meet you, but I gotta r-"

"Not yet Endy!" Zenos interrupted. "She has a Prophet, a female Prophet... what's your name?" Zenos asked in an actually respectful manner.

"My name... it's Diana. It's nice to meet you."

"Sorry, but she doesn't talk much, mostly cause I do it for her... but ya know! Anyways, I was just going to go see my mom at the airport, but what do you say we go to the Great Pool together, you're a friendly person, and you are an outcast like me, I take it."

"Yeah, I am. The father in my town excepts people, be they Prophian, Wiccan, whatever. Ever since I was orphaned he's taken care of me, he'd like you." Endy said. Endy clearly like this Lacrina girl he just met. "So, whadya say we get going than?"

"That would be great!"

*********

The Pool radiated with warmth, it felt peaceful to Endorph, but when he got into the gates, he felt sick and dreary. I never liked this place, when I came here with my Prophet 500 years ago, I almost fainted. It's weaker now, but the pool has so much energy ti drains the organisms around ti. That's why theres no plant-life around the pool.

Endy looked at the pool, it was filled with blue and green liquid. In the middle of the pool, a gigantic sphere shaped cluster of energy sat, it had souls-lights* flying around it. It was beautiful, yet draining.

"So Lacrina, how old are you?" Endy asked in a low voice.

"17, this your first year too?" Lacrina asked. She sounded like she wasn't effected, but it didn't surprise Endy, she seemed to have a strong aura.

"Yeah, damn this place doesn't' feel so holy. So when do we pray to this thing?"

Lacrina bent down a bit and stretched, then she got on her knees. "Whenever you want." Lacrina went silent, than she started praying. Suddenly her Prophet materialized next to her. Diana was a Beautiful women, she was tall and had fiery red hair. Soon after Zenos appeared next to Endy.

"Feels both great, and horrible to be here..." Zenos wasn't saying anything sarcastic, in fact he was rather quiet. Endy got on his knees and prayed as well. Suddenly the ground shook beneath their feet.

"Son of a bitch, something doesn't feel right!" Hollered Zenos. He looked to his left to see the ocean, it was started to cloud overhead, and the ground kept on shaking. "I guess that dumbass creature Gual is coming, I can sense him. But fuck, we're the only people her right now, fuck shit damn shit!"

Diana looked at the gates behind them, they were shut tight, and people who were outside, couldn't get in. "Lacrina, I don't' think we're in for a good time... Gual isn't very happy today."

*********

A few miles away, the calm ocean started to get a little uneasy. From the surface of the water arose a gigantic monster. It was Gual, the Sea-Guardian of Helia. He was swimming fast toward the island. His eyes were usually green, but now they were red with rage. He was going to attack the pool... while Lacrina and Endy were the only people there.

Julian was beginning to hate Father Donello. Instead of being allowed to visit the sacred pool, the old priest had him unload half the pilgrimage's luggage. Then he was forbidden from watching the burning of a heretic. Now Julian was making sure all the elderly found their rooms, over and over.

"This. Fucking. Sucks." Julian muttered through clenched teeth. If he found out that Donello was responsible for his missing smokes, he'd kill his first faithful priest.

Calvin laughed and stroked his beard thoughtfully. "No no. It is your holy duty to serve this man of God! You'll be damned for eternity if you don't obey him! Hahaha!"

There was a loud rumbling sound from outside the hotel. Julian rushed outside and listened intently. This time it came through more clearly, some sort of roar . . .

"Shit! That's gotta be a monster!" He took off at full speed for the sacred pool, Calvin fusing himself to the revolver at Julian's side. It'll be at the pool, he thought desperately, such a powerful energy source draws trouble like a magnet. Making the last turn to the pool wall, he saw the monster beyond in the sea. "Aww GODDAMMIT!" Not seeing the two seventeen year olds already inside, he aimed, and fired.

Hunter had gotten off the plane without hesitation, he was anxious to get off so he could locate Obsidian. He didn't like the fact that he had to leave him alone, in such a world where a Roc was a very valuable creature. Not many were in the world, and only Hunters kind had any insight to what a Roc could do. He knew if someone had stolen his bird, that they would use it solely for the reason to kill it and take its plumage and its valuable organs. He quickly rushed outside the airport to see if he could spot the great animal. He heard Abaddon yawn as he walked beside him, completely uncaring and devoid of an concern for Hunters other companion.

"Where is your great bird Wing Rider?" Hunter huffed at him irritable, still searching the skies for the Roc.

"You sound far to calm for my liking, if Obsidian is lost you will help me find him. Without him we are grounded, and I will forever be removed from the Wing Riders." Abaddon chuckled a little, and spoke without the use of a mouth, the dark figure taking a new shape as he spoke. Everyone that walked by them unable to see him or even know of his presence.

"Calm yourself Hunter. Your foal will show itself in time, hopefully soon though." Hunter ignored Abaddon for the time being. He looked harder into the sky, then reached into his shirt and pulled out a silver whistle. He put it to his lips and blew steadily into it, no sound came from the whistle. He blew it for several seconds then stopped and lowered the whistle, he listened closely. He soon heard the screech of his companion, the familiar sound was comforting and reassuring. The Roc quickly landed before Hunter and rushed to it, and then petted its feather head.

Grooming it quickly and then reaching into his pocket and giving it some treats for flying so far on his own. He patted its neck and then walked around to its back to make sure the harness was still in place. He tightened straps and then patted the Roc's back as he lead it to a near by pond and let it drink. He let the bird take some times to rest before mounting up and securely strapping himself into his seat. He grabbed the reigns and nudged the bird with his knee. He spread its great wings and took off into the sky, he had just barely heard people gasp and some people awe and the Roc. He smiled anew as he felt the wind rush past him and the freedom that came with being a Wing Rider. He heard the voice of Abaddon as he rode through the sky.

"I sense something has gone amiss. There is something bad happening Hunter. Go that way." Hunter knew which way he was saying without even having his Prophet point it out. He instantly made Obsidian turn in that direction and flew quickly and agilely through the sky toward the disturbance. They soon saw the massive form heading for the energy pool that was Hunters original destination. He was about to pull off to the side when he heard Obsidian screech in a new tone. He knew the tone meant he had seen something Hunter had missed. He looked over quickly and saw that the Rock was screeching about. Two people were trapped in the Energy pool room, the monster heading right for them. He looked out with realization in his eyes.

"We must slow that monster as best we can." He then heard gun shots from off in the distance, he looked out and saw the figure standing there with guns in his hand. He sighed to himself.

"Ok, so we have to slow the monster and make sure that guy doesn't hit us by accident." Abaddon scoffed.

"Sounds like fun, you ready for an interesting fight." Hunter smiled as his left arm turned and odd color and his fingers elongated and turned into thick, long blades.

"As ready as i'll ever be." He then directed Obsidian to a dive toward the creature. He was gonna make first contact with the beast, and hopefully get it to stray off course. He could only hope as he gripped the reigns in his right hand, and his left was held out, ready to strike out at the approaching behemoth.

Jonathan was still slightly groggy from the combination of jet-lag and a minor hangover. Against Michael's wishes, Jonathan had gone out and gotten slightly drunk. The next morning he found himself back at home and regularly dressed for bed. "Just what the hell happened?!" Jonathan mumbled as he looked at Michael form in the corner of his room near the closet.

"I believe in this day and time I would say I hauled your sorry ass back here after you got yourself completely wasted you jackass. Though I think I might be wrong." The templar said as he rubbed his leg from standing. It was an old habit he had developed back when he was alive and never quite dropped. When Jonathan was finally able to stand he got dressed and fourteen hours later he was standing in the airport of Helia.

The airport security had been a little tight when he entered and exited the plane. Mainly due to the fact that he had a long sword, commonly used among knights, packed in his carry-on luggage. When he explained it was an heirloom he was simply returning to a family friend he was allowed to bring it aboard. Though Michael continually protested and bitched.

However when they had arrived Michael had gone eerily quiet. "Michael are you all right? You've been too damn quiet for my liking and I'm starting to get...."

"Quiet!! There's something foul in the air. I say we quickly get to the sacred pool. I can sense something coming from there. Though it might just be my gut telling me something's wrong." With that in mind Jonathan quickly hailed down a local taxi and was whisked away to the sacred pool.

When he arrived he was greeted in the usual manner and was glad to be rid of the pilgrimage luggage, but when it the attempt to make the man part from the sword in his bag he put his foot down and told them that his prophet was sensing something wrong at the pool and he demanded access to the area quickly. That was all nice and done but just then the sound of a massive burst of water against ground alerted Jonathan and he quickly drew forth his sword and took to running as fast as he could to the pool.

Apologies if this isn't quite up to par. PM me to let me know if it needs to be changed or w/e.
