Defcon5
18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker (Acclaim) All-Star Baseball 2003 (Acclaim) Bloody Roar: Primal Fury (Activision) Dark Summit (THQ) ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 (Konami) ESPN MLS Extra Time 2002 (Konami) Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (Midway) James Bond in Agent Under Fire (EA) Legends of Wrestling (Acclaim) NBA 2K2 (Sega) NBA Courtside 2002 (Nintendo) NBA Street (EA) NFL Blitz 2002 (Midway) Pac Man World 2 (Namco) Rayman Arena (Ubi Soft) Smashing Drive (Namco) Spy Hunter (Midway) Tetris World (THQ) Virtua Striker 3 (Sega) This list displeases me. There is not one game on this list that I want to buy. I am starting to lose faith in Nintendo. There past success has made them think that they can do whatever the hell they want and still prevail in the council war. They really need to start listining to the gamers wants and not just what they think would be good. Because that kind of attitude will lose the war for them. I'm not giving up on Nintendo. Just dissapointed.
9mm Avenger
RayMan arena? RayMan, the Great Escape was good, but will this one step up to meet it?

k9*
the only one on that list that i'm interested in is gauntlet. hhhmmm.....i would think that they would @ least get a zelda game out for the cube as soon as possible.
Charles
I wouldn't lose faith in Nintendo over this if I were you. We're coming off the holidays, and it's typical for developers to hold off on their bigger products for better sales. If you think about it, there's no a whole lot coming out for Xbox right now either that's all that great. With Sony's huge number of spectacular releases this holiday season, you'll find that the first quarter line up for the PlayStation 2 will be quite tame as well. At least Third Parties are making games for the GameCube. That's a good sign if anything. It'd be bad news, if you only had five games on there and three were from Nintendo. Anyway, Virtua Striker 3 couldn't be that bad....
Fall
Erm, I'd probably get Legends Of Wrestling, and that Gauntlet gane. But yeah, there will be better games to come out yet. ;)
Treble
Being the big fan of fighting games I am,I would like to give Bloody Roar: Primal Fury a try.NBA 2K2 and Street would also be entertaining for me. Right now the list isn't that bad, like CWB said its just right off the holidays.By time passes by there will be more of Nintendo games that we all enjoy and like and same goes for the other consoles.:)

That's why GameCube is what it is -- a purebred gaming console. You don't get much higher consumer-based product than that. In any case, you're reading a list which was compiled over the last month. This list will change within only a few weeks time. It could quite easily be twice as large by the end of January. Remember: a lot of third party companies have not yet revealed their GameCube projects, as GameCube is only new to the market and thus, many games are still in development. The best time for GameCube (the time when it truly hits its stride), will be in the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year. That's when you'll start seeing the huge, console-selling launches (Resident Evil One, Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid Prime, Perfect Dark Zero) etc etc. So I wouldn't be worried. In a year's time, you'll be incredibly thankful that you purchased a GameCube in the first place. :)
Defcon5
I hope your right. But what I mean by them lising to gamers I mean they need MORE games that are for the older audiance. I know a game doesn't have to be mature and all to be good. I'm not saying that E rated games are bad or anything just that they should have some more mature games on the council(lol sp). I hope people understand what I'm trying to say.

But there are heaps of "mature" games there. Everything from Bloody Roar and Agent Under Fire to Spyhunter and the various sport/arcade games. I don't see what your problem is there. And besides, I find it funny how the kids who probably aren't legally old enough to buy games like GTA3 are the only ones who CARE about mature games. I often find that 18+ gamers can see the fun games as they are, regardless of rating or content.
Defcon5
I all of those mature games don't really appeal to me. What I mean is games that have less of the cutsie feel to it. I don't mean the game have a mature rating. But it's general atmosphere. I would like to see an adventure game like Mario that doesn't have cute wooldand creature trying to save the world. Don't get me wrong I enjoy playing Mario games. Zelda was a good example of what I like until they changed it.

Anyway, it's not like you have very long to wait for games like this. Also, I think you're dramatically overstating the "cuteness" of Nintendo's games. Just look at Mario Sunshine -- no furry woodland creatures there. And don't even start on Zelda lol. Were you at Space World? Nope. You're basing your judgement on the Link character model, which I'm sure will be changed. I don't see how the rest of the game is cutsie at all...sure it's cel-shaded, but so was Jet Set Radio. The cel-shading ads a touch of old-school charm to the game (for those of us old enough to remember the originals). In any case, I really think you're whining about nothing. A good game is a good game. If you want something gory or "adult", then go and buy Max Payne or Quake or something for your PC while you wait for some new GameCube games.
Defcon5
I don't like agent under fire. I want MORE games like Mario. As I said I like Mario. I don't have a problem with Mario. How do you know I diden't go to space world mabye my aunt works for a gaming magazine;) Yes I am basing my opinion on the charecter model because that is what he is until they show another one. And besides I heard they weren't going to change him that much. That he would still look like that and they would just make a few changes. The enemies in the video ran in midair. You don't call that cutsie? I'm not saying that the games are bad just that I wish they would make some more with a less cutise feel. I probably will buy Zelda (unless it gets a crappy rating which I highly doubt) Cel shaded Link or not. I don't want anything gorey. Half the reason most people buy GTA is just so they can find different ways to kill people and then laugh which gets old quick. So I'm not saying that the Cuietse (or how ever the hell you spell it) games are bad just that I wish they would have some more good platformers that are less cuitese. Shy
This is the problem that Nintendo had in the begiining with the 64. There isn't anything phenomenal coming from third party developers, which is a big problem. This list can't be complete though because I know of at least a few games that should be there (Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for example.) Smash Brothers, Luigi's Mansion and Rogue Leader will keep me more than busy enough until the summer and by then I am sure there will be something else worth playing. BTW: Is Perfect Dark Zero confirmed for third or fourth quarter? Because I haven't heard a thing about it yet. Also when is the Resident Evil remake coming out? Isn't is already out in Japan?
Defcon5
I'm not sure Shyguy. I think Resident Evil is comming out during the fourth quarter. And I'm not to sure about Perfect Dark Zero. But I hope it comes out soon.
