[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]As Louis knelt down to heal her she shook her head.
"See what you can do for his eyes, we need his blood magic."
"Nayomi, are you sure?"
"Louis, I just have to catch my breath, you know how going feral drains me."
He nodded and went to work trying to get Duke to see, Nayomi stood and half shifted, she shook her body and stretched, hearing her joints and bones pop she nodded as Duke blinked as his vision cleared some. He looked at Nayomi and frowned seeing her wounds still there.
"I thought I told you to heal her?"
"I told him to take care of you, we need your blood magic more than my physical strength. Besides, they're only small cuts. Not a big deal, thanks for being worried though."
She bent down and kissed his cheek, turning she faced another cloaked man, she spun around and gashed his throat wide open, his white spine showing, she shook her hand to get the blood off of it. They were making a huge dent in the group and at this rate they would have them all killed in another half hour. But at the same time something told her to stay on her guard it was seeming to easy.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Drizzt Do'urden]

Damo concentrated all his mental energy on the group of small maple trees nearby. Three of the trees lurched out of the ground causing damo to cry out in pain.

"Eat this!" Damo yelled as he flung the trees in the direction of the right flank crashing them into the area Nayomi wanted to cluster. Four rows deep were pounded by the young trees, though they were no more than 15 feet tall and only 8 inches thick they still did major damage. As the trees settle and the sea of red began clamering over, they burst into flames.

Damo smiled as he watched Jinx go to work. Everyman within 5 feet of the tree was instantly incinerated, others died slower, and even others were incopacitated with 1st degree burns....Suddenly one of the ones laying on the ground rose and flung a knife at damo.

Purley out of instinct Damo deflected the dagger back at him, plunging it into his heart...."How did I do that?" Damo wondered as he looked at the man "How did I summon my powers on instinct like that....by all rights I should've been dead" Damo willed himself over the flames and into the sea of red. As he landed he let out oa burst of mental energy knocking the close by enemies to the ground....with a short lived smile Damo glanced at Louis...was he staring at Jinx???

Damo couldn't fight back the jealousy, he knew he couldn't compete with Louis...Jinx would never like damo like he liked her and he accepted that fact. But Louis liking hertoo.. I'll never have a chance now.

Using his jealous rage as a catylist. Damo stripped two of the downed men of their blades and threw his into the air. "I can't take this....you evil men will PAY" Damo was surprised at the volume of his voice...it didn't even sound like him. He began spinning all four blades around him in a furry. As themen around him did all they could to fend off the furry of blades, But it was short lived, Damo's furry caused the blades to move to fast and man after man was cut down in his furry....

Suddenly it seemed Damo had reached his limit...All his power drained for teh time being he collapsed to his knees. As the men surrouned him. Damo saw Nayomi, Louis, and Reiku were all busy. He was done for...noone would be able to save. him. He began summoning all his energy for a possible levitation...but he knew he probably wouldn't be able to do it...."Looks like the dream is becoming a reality for me...damn"

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Nayomi plowed through the men as she saw Damo go down.
"Damn hot head got in to deep."
Leaping high she landed in front of him growling at the on coming men, they faltered for only a moment, but that moment was enough to get him out of there. Or so she thought. It was than that the poison from the man's blade began to take effect. She tried to jump and only managed to get her front paws off the ground, with Damo on her back she toppled over on her side, her body numb and her eyes seemingly lifeless. Damo began to think the poison had killed her till he saw her breathing, she just lay there motionless, not speaking. One of the men came up to them, a large group behind him.
"Take them, he said he wants to see who ever is working to destroy our eden."
As the men bent down he heard her growl, though her lips never moved. Nayomi willed her body to move but nothing.
"Damnit run Damo!"
There was no where to run, they were trapped.
"Tell the others to get out of here, now!"
She heard them argue over the com links and growled.
"Get the hell out of here unless you want to be caught damnit!"
She heard Damo struggle as they were drug away from the fight and towards a lare building across the street. Nayomi watched the sky go by, the light blue hue to it told her it was dawn, she moved her eyes around as she heard Damo.
"It's from my dream..."
Nayomi's head suddenly seared with pain and she saw a flash, heard a scream she knew as Duke's and saw an elderly man with dagger covered in blood, Duke laying on the floor of what looked like a dungeon at his feet.
"Damo, tell them to get out of here now, it's only going to go south for them if they stay."
"They're falling back Nayomi."
"Good."
She heard footsteps as more cloaked men came from the building, overwhelming the others forcing them to retreat for the time being.

OCC: Okay everyone check the backstage.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Takuuya]

Sin teleported behind another Innocent sinking his teeth into him. He had been taking most of them out this way because he would need energy for porting those kids that long of a distance.

?Kill that Evil, Vile being!? Shouted of the cloaked men ?You kill these little children for a far fetched cause and you call me evil?? Sin yelled back at the horde of men advancing towards him. Sin was glad he was cut off from his other teammates. ?I?m going to have to rely on my demon powers greatly for this? he thought. ?It?s good they won?t see me.?

Sin?s eyes shone with a bright yellow light. Sin thanked the powers that be that it was night; Sin would be at the peek of his powers. The men started to close the gap separating them from their ?prey?.

Sin placed his right foot behind him and held his left arm out and put stretched his right hand to the left just below his chest. As the men got closer Sin yelled ?Shadow zephyr!?
Sin brought his right knee up and his arms in front of him but bent as if he were holding a beach ball, all this in a spinning motion to the right on the ball of his foot. Dark energy began to swirl around Sin, lifting the cloaked men from the ground along with their swords.
Sin put his hands up in an arc causing him to spin faster. Screams could be heard as swords collided with their owners but in a lethal way. Sin stopped on a dime, feet together and stretched out. ?DISPERSE? The men were thrown far in every direction crashing to the ground and the swords that weren?t lodged in a body were wedged in random cloaked men.

After dispersing the bulk of the group surrounding the kids Sin ran to them. They all cowered from him. ?I?m here to help you lot, don?t be afraid? Sin pulled out his rabbit from his backpack and went to the smallest girl and gave it to her ?I?m here to protect you little one? She took it, Sin felt a pull at his heart. It took a lot to give Lan to this girl but he needed to show them he could be trusted? ?Can you protect him for me? She held fast to his leg in response. Sin motioned the other children to him. Sin focused on the chapel in the distance, a black circle appeared below them and they sank in it.

[Drizzt Do'urden]

Damo knew what to expect when he awoke. He tried to fight anyways. His arms bound to a chair in a dark room...silence..nothing but dark silence. He rocked his chair a slight bit and felt something behindhim.

Before passing out he had remembered Nayomi dropping as well. Thinking she was dead at the time for a second Damo fear'd the same. "Nayomi! NAYOMI!" Damo heard himself scream.

"Relax...I'm here" She replied faintly. He couldn't tell if she was hurt or if she was just waking up as he was. "I'm sorry I didn't run like you ordered me to. I just knew if I did I would make it to the others....but I Knew there was no way to get youout, and I also knew what they wanted...well at least that they'd want to capture us instead of kill us right out."

Damo became woosie, wether from the blow he took that finally rendered him unconscious, or some sort of drugs they used to keep him dazed so there would be no hope of him using his powers. Damo allowed himself to be taken into the darkness of sleep, "God I hope they don't seperate us Nayomi..." He knew he didn't actually say it but he tried...he also thought he heard a mans voice through some sort of speaker. "Enemies of eden..." But that was all he heard.

[SIZE="2"][CENTER][COLOR="DimGray"]It was a little later... Reiku gathered everyone he could up, everyone was distraught over Nayomi and Damo's capture, Louis seemed alright but Duke was hysterical so Reiku decided to take charge of the situation before everything became hopelessly lost.
"Now listen up everyone. As we all know Nayomi and Damo have been captured. And Sin has gone to protect the children. So the rest of us need to come up with a plan to rescue Nayomi and Damo" Reiku said
Duke looked at him
"Plan?! We just need go rescue them it's that simple!" Duke said loudly Reiku responded calmly
"Calm down Duke your not thinking straight, pardon the pun but your bloods boiling" he said
"Now, I have a plan. As you all know before you arrive I was on a mission. It was to investigate the dissapearce of one of my class mates and I believe she was captured also, so my plan is to use the vast roman sewer to infiltrate the Cultist dungeon. Then rescue my teammate, Nayomi, and Damo and then meet up with Sin if he decides to stay with the children." Reiku said

Meanwhile....

"So they captured you too?" a voice said a young woman appeared from the shadows she was 19 she had maroon colored hair in two pigtails her eye's were dark brown she was wearing a torn maroon and black tank-top and white and black skirt she was barefoot.
"My name is Kendra" she said "I'm a classmate of Reiku" she said "My Power Astro-Projection" she said
"Allow me to demonstrate" she said as she closed her eyes and fell to the floor as suddenly she was in front of them[/COLOR][/CENTER][/SIZE]

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Nayomi sat limp in the chair, the poison starting to wear off, she felt Damo slump behind her and knew he had blacked out.
"Enemies of eden, I am lord Jin. I am here by sentencing you trial by community. You will appear before the townspeople and be judged, if I do not find their sentencing to my liking I will think of a better way for you to perish. Till than you will each be interrogated for information."
Nayomi cursed as she heard a few men walk in.
"Who should we take first?"
"The woman, she's awake and it's not like she can fight back."
As he reached across from her she bit down savagely into his arm making him scream in pain; the others listening through their internal com links gave a silent cheer for the shape shifter. She yelped as he slammed his fist into her face and spit at her.
"Filthy beast! I'll kill you!"
She let out a scream as a dagger was embedded into the side of her stomach; she coughed and frowned as blood dripped from her mouth.
"You'll regret that, I garentee it."
"Why you think those comrades of yours will save you? We'll kill them just like we'll kill you."
She screamed again as he yanked the dagger from her flesh and stabbed it into her shoulder.
"Why are you here?!"
"We are here to free the children, that's all you need to know."
He twisted the dagger drawing another scream from her.
"Liar! Tell me the truth! What organization sent you?!"
"No organization, we heard a rumor, found out it was true and took matters into our own hands."
He ripped the blade from her shoulder and placed it to her throat.
"Talk or I'll slice you wide open."
She stared at him with hard eyes.
"I'm not afraid to die bastard."
She winced inwardly as she heard Duke begin to yell at her through the com link, though her ears rang so loundly now she couldn't make him out.
"Hmph."
He knicked her skin for emphasis.
"You sure about that?"
"Positive."
"Fine, we'll come back when the shrimp wakes up an ask him a few questions, maybe seeing his blood will loosen your tounge."
She hung her head as they walked out, her blood dripping to the floor.
"I'm so sorry everyone, mostly you Damo for what you may endure for this mission...Forgive me."[/FONT][/COLOR]

[The Enemy]

Duke paced in front of the group, he had been doing so for nearly an hour, mumbling to himself. "Plans, plans, plans, plans, plans..." His hands were in his pockets fiddling with the x-acto knives in each of them. He seemed to stare blindly as he walked 5 feet then turned on a dime and walked over the exact 5 foot strip over an over. "We've gotta save them." He finally said out loud.

"Really? I was just going to go get a pizza." Jinx said with a hit of both sarcasm nd anger in her voice "Of coarse we have to save them!"

Duke and Jinx held stared for a minute before Duke finally broke eye contact. "Im sorry, I just-"

"I know." Jinx cut him off "It's ok, we know you're angry."

Duke nodded and went back to pacing. Reiku had been talking with Louis about the sewer system and the best way to find out where the cult had it's HQ. Using some of the objects left behind from the fight, including: a robe, blood of the men, blood of Nayomi, and one of Damo's shirt's from the Mansion. Louis found he could formulate a locator spell. And so he did. The ancient texts of the spell flashing in his mind. a bright red light appeared in the middle of the group.

"We are the only ones who can see it." Louis ensured "So they won't see us coming."

"That means we have the element of surprise." Reiku added.

A moment later the light made a bee line toward a nearby manhole to the sewer. The light was odd in the fact that it left a strange laser-like trail behind itself, which lingered almost 20 seconds. This was so the group wouldn't have trouble following the light if it turned corner or a similar obstacle got in the way. "Man what I would give to have Damo here right now." Duke said with a strain a he and Louis lifted the manhole from it's place and grudgingly slit it aside. one by one the group funnelled down into the sewer. Lead by the magical locater light. After a very long hour and a half of wondering through sewer pipes after a flying light. The locater finally changed, it wet from the usual bright red to a yellow colour, and got slightly brighter. With it the trail became thicker and easier to follow.

"We're getting close, get ready." said Louis in a deathly serious tone.

OOC: Hey all, sorry if I played sme pple wrong. Just pm me if I did anything drastically off. I figured I'd give you guys (and girls) a good cliff hanger ending so someone else could lead us into the next [I]chapter[/I] as it were.

“It’s ok guys please don’t cry.” Sin tried to calm the children down. He could not blame them though, they were taken from their parents then they witness a bloody massacre, and they have just emerged from the floor through shadows (no doubt they felt a little sick from that feat, Sin even stumbled as he materialized).

“I know you are afraid but I swear I will protect you with my life, and it wont be long until the rest of my team comes to save you” Sin said reassuring them but highly doubted it. He heard everything that was happening to Nayomi and Damo.

Sin felt a tug at his leg, it was the little girl he gave Lan to.
“Mister… Mister..” She said

Sin winced inwardly realizing how J.B must have felt when he had call him sir.
He smiled putting his hand on her head. “I'm not that old little one, just err.. Bigger” He grinned cheekily.

“Ok..Bigger kid” She said returning half the smile. “I have to go pee” Sin ran his fingers through his hair standing up, his knees buckling “I feel so weak” he thought he shook the feeling off and held her hand. “Ok... Um…” Sin looked around him for the first time.

The chapel was huge and had a circular ceiling with paintings of angels there were great pillars at the each side near the walls and a sea of pews stretching to the alter far in front of them. There were two doors to the left and right of the alter. Finding the bathroom in this place would be difficult… But a incantation could clear this mess up.

Sin scratched his head thinking of the right words.

“There’s no spell I’ve learned to find the restroom, I'll have to wing it”

“Uhh.. Iris, Goddes of luminous pathways and Mercury, God of swift and safe travels …. I beseech thee… for the path of the loo to be unraveled” A strange seal appered below Sin and a light yellow line began to flow from it to the front of the alter going left.

“IT WORKED!?” Sin exclaimed. Some of the children shock by his out burst and other the witchcraft they witness. The little girl grew wide eyed in awe .

“Ok, Can one of you gals help this one to the lo… Potty room?” Sin said, sure they wouldn’t understand his slang. A girl slightly older stepped forward.

“I’ll do it, Come on Rebecca” She said holding out her hand.

“Ok..well just follow that line it will lead the way” Sin said then he stomped on the ground and the light shone brighter. He swayed slightly, the holiness of this place was draining him slightly due to the fact he was half demon.

As the girls followed the line it dispersed behind them. “Ok kids sit tight and get comfortable we’ll be here for some time.

Sin heard the door open and closed. “They must have found it, Haha” Sin laughed at his make shift spell. “Not bad.. Not bad at all.”


“Find the sacrifices!” Sin heard a voice outside.
“Split up and search every building or face the wrath of lord Jin”


“Shit” Sin cursed and the children gasped and began to panic.

“We’re going to die “

“You said you’d protect us big kid” Said one boy

“And I will, everyone go hide in that room to the right, Now” Sin said pushing the crowd of kids to the front of the alter.

“Be quiet “Sin said.

Sin then turned all of the lights in the chapel with shadow magic.

Whoever came through that door would be in Sin’s domain.

“I am ready”

[0ber0n the Neko]

Around the bend, the trail led into a seemingly inconspicuous door, and the tracer passed through it. Louis turned to Duke, breathing heavily as they ran.

"I'll be a distraction. I can do a lot more damage without the rest of you in the fray, so all of you will be primarily responsible with the safe recapture of our teammates," Louis continued. He caught a resentful look from Duke, and shook his head, "Duke, I understand you're not entirely happy with taking orders, but save it for the one who's taken Nayomi. Cults are built around a dominant personality, and whoever that is deserves your ire far more than I."

Duke's glower deepened, his eyes dark. He began to speak, but Louis cut him off, "Lead the recovery team. I'll keep your flanks clear. And for god's sake, don't look back."

The group breathed a collective sigh, each member tapping into whatever powers they could safely muster. Soon, all eyes were on Louis, whose hand rested gingerly on the door's knob, silently removing the warding spell that held it fast.

"Ladies, gentlemen - godspeed," Louis murmured, swinging the door open.

Behind it sprawled a chasmous room, walls- lined with red banners, floor- white marble. The ceiling was masterfully vaulted, stretching far beyond the realistic constraints of space. A long, blood red carpet flowed boldly down the broad foyer, up twin spiral staircases and up to a pair of large, oaken doors.

All along it, hundreds of cultists stared back at them with disbelief.

As they fumbled for their swords, alarmed by the sudden appearance of unexpected guests, the group sped forward, towards the doors.

Louis stopped halfway there, pretending to twist his ankle. The bulk of the cultists centered around him, an easy target.

Steadily, a complex spell weaved itself in his mind, not making itself apparent just yet.

Louis only hoped that his comrades were not around to witness it.

(OOC: Apologies if I ran ahead too quickly. Whoever wants to can add in some dialogue before we charge in, and your actions after we enter are entirely yours to decide [e.g. you can say you didn't charge for the door, and instead took a big bite out of the first cultist you saw])

[Drizzt Do'urden]

"Shrimp?" damo growled softly.

"Damo your awake?" Nayomi asked, her voice failing to mask the pain she was enduring. "Yes I've been awake for a couple moments now...trying to use even a small portion of my powers...but I can't seem to even make the chair shake for some reason."

"Yes, it seems like there's something keeping our powers in check. I'm not sure what it is....Damo listen.."

"Stop" Damo snapped "I heard what you said a minute ago. You can't blame yourself forany of this. We all CHOOSE to follow you...You did nothing wrong, besides I'm sure Duke and Jinx will be here anytime."

"You really like her don't you?" Nayomi asked, her voice seemed to get weeker "Jinx that is"

"no...well stupid to lie I guess I haven't been hiding it very well....but it doesn't matter all that matters is nomatter what they try. We face it together, and we'll be alright." Damo searched and found her hand behind him, and gave it a squeeze.

"I made my decision in the battle knowing full well what would happen....you don't have to worry I won't tell them anything."

He squeezed her hand again as the door opened up. "So little shrimp you're awake" "Yeah untie me and call me that you bastard" Damo could feel his powers sore within him...he couldn't however, focus them on anything....they were being blocked somehow. The man approached him with a hideous looking dagger.

"I plunged this into your friend...her blood dried on it...and now It hungers for yours. I will ablidge it if you don't tell us everything about your little band of freaks. And why your impeding our ascent into eden."

"well...it's like this We want to get to eden as well....except our crazy cult leader says we must save the children from other crazy cults....isn't that ironic?" Damo smirked until he felt the cold blade slice a deep cut from his left shoulder down to his right hip. damo only yelped slightly. All the mental energy he couldn't use agains them, he used to keep himself from screaming....that is until the man plunged the dagger into his thigh and twisted it in a complete circle.

The next voice Damo heard was nayomi's coming across the com link 'Be strong damo....and I'm sorry" All he could do was hope his voice was heard. "I made my choice Nayomi...and no matter what. Id followyou to the gates of hell and back." Next was only darkness....and the strong taste of copper filling his mouth

[The Enemy]

"Pathetic" said the cultist as he pulled the dagger out of Damo's leg. Nayomi was silently happy Damo had passed out, at least they didn't torture him when he couldn't answer. "Well the shrimp may have fallen asleep but you're still awake aren't you honey? Nayomi tried to play dead but the cultist tested her with the dagger. Driving it into her already wounded shoulder. She whimpered as quietly as she could, but still revealed her wakefulness. "See? You are awake. So are you going to talk this time?" Nayomi just growled. "You'll talk, they always talk."

Before Jin could make another incision, the door behind him swung open. 3 accompanying cultists ran to the opening to find out what happened but they were immediately incinerated by a flash of fire. [I]'Jinx! I'm so glad you're here!'[/I] Nayomi thought, but was took weak to say. Jin wasn't as rash as the others. Hw waited until Jinx entered the room then caught her by surprise from behind the door. He darted from behind her baring his torture dagger. Jinx turned quickly but not quickly enough. The dagger came crashing down, but an instant before it sank itself into Jinx' chest, Duke tackled the cult leader from the side.

They rolled around on the ground wrestling over the dagger. "Get then outta here!" Duke shouted.

"Duke, you're here too?" this time Nayomi managed a pained whisper, but fortunately it was enough for Duke to hear.

"Of coarse I'm here, we all are. Arrgh" Duke paused to roll over top of Jin. "Speaking of which" Duke whistled loudly again. "Hey guys, they're in here!! The gang should be here in no time."

"It's pointless struggling!" Jin said as he got on top again. "We will make it to Eden, and nothing you can d will stop us!" Jin managed to force the dagger down enough to push it into Dukes shoulder. "Ha soon the poison will spread through your system and you're powers will be subdued."

"And how exactly will this poison spread?" Duke answered with a cocky tone.

"It's in your blood now, soon your very own heart will pump it through your entire body!" Jin laughed as he waited for the poison that had been suppressing Damo and Nayomi's powers to take effect on Duke as well.

"Sorry, my blood doesn't work that way." Jin gave Duke a confused look. "Here, I?ll show you." as Duke spoke blood began floating out of his wound. It formed a small disk and spun toward Jin's neck.

"Ahh so that's your power." Jin said smoothly as he skilfully jumped up and out of the way of the blood disk. Duke countered the dodge with a blood shot. Aiming quickly he launched forth his 2 fingers and blood shot from is stab wound towards the cult leader's left knee. Jin swiftly side-stepped causing the blood shot to miss.

[I]" Damn he's good"[/I] Duke thought to himself. By now Jinx had Damo and Nayomi untied.

"The prisoners are escaping! Innocents, get in here!" Jin cried out as he saw Jinx helping both Nayomi and Damo to stand.

"I hope Louis can do his job." Duke mumbled to himself

"Remember our objective!" Louis said via com link."

"speak of the devil" Duke chuckled as he stood.

Louis continued "Retrieving Nayomi and Damo is our only objective right now. We aren't here to defeat every member of this damn cult. As soon as we can get them out safe, do so! We'll re-group and come up with a new plan, just get them out safely." The group nodded in unison as they heard the message. It would be tricky to steal some prisoners out of the heart of their enemies lair.

Duke went over to the third prisoner Kendra, and carried her over his not bleeding shoulder. "This must be that team mate Reiku was talking about." Jinx nodded as she helped Nayomi walk. "Damn Damo is still out, where the hell is he team, we need someone to help carry him too." Jinx would have answered had she not been forcing Jin out of the room and covering the door with a fiery barrier. "Just tell us when your at the door k guys?" Duke said over the com link, while Jinx kept the cultists out.

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Nayomi leaned on Duke as they tried to find a soid way out, she looked up at him and felt a weak smiled tug at her lips when a sharp pain made her look down. She gripped Duke's shirt as her vision became blurry, the last thing she heard was Jin's cruel laughter. She fell to the floor, a throwing dagger in her side between two ribs an in her lung. Blood seeped from her mouth as Duke ran to her.
"Nayomi!"
Looking up at him she winced and whimpered, she gripped the dagger and yanked it our throwing to through the fire she smiled as she heard the man scream as it hit his arm but frowned as he laughed.
"You will never go home, the wound I have inflected will kill you unless you can be healed within the next few minutes."
She shifted and stood up slowly, blood pouring onto the floor; she growled as duke tried to make her stop.
"Not now."
She lunged through the flames Jinx had put up singeing her fur in the process and landed on the man's chest, she growled for a moment before dipping down and tearing his throat wide open. As soon as she had something felt odd, she felt stronger, she saw red and with out warning she turned on her team only to see Duke on the floor, his eyes red an Jinx struggling as well. Something was wrong and worse yet she was bleeding to death.

OCC: Okay everyone, killing Jin has sparked a power boost in all of us, our powers are evolving due to the massive power he had stored in his own body. How you do it is up to you, but make it creative.[/FONT][/COLOR]

"ARGH!" Damo cried as he awoke to someone trying to move him. The pain was the most intense he had ever felt...it wasn't in either of his wounds. They felt fine compared to the headache he felt. It became steadily worse and worse until he collapsed to his knees.

Managing to look around at his comarades he could see Nayomi and Duke going through something similar. He tried to cry out but it was lost to him...."WHAT IS THIS!?" Damo yelled. As he did so the room kicked and shaked. The walls began spliting from the strain of his energy bouncing off them. Suddenly a huge chunk of ceiling directly over top of him collapsed. Suddenly a shield appear'd over him....a visible shield of energy.."Okay this is strange..."Suddenly the shield enveloped the ceiling in an orb.

The orb hung there for a moment until itslowly lowered to the floor. "Okay that was odd" Damo said as he realized the pain went away...he felt strong again. That s until he looked down at his own blood seeping out his wounds. It wasn't enough to kill him but it was enough to slow him down.

"Jinx!" Something was wrong with Jinx too. Running to her side Damo was suddenly aware of the heat she was putting off. Way to much to get close to....All he could do was sit and watchin horror.

Okay everyone check the back stage really quick

[The Enemy]

Duke writhed on the ground, his eyes were burning and as soon as Nayomi had killed Jin his eyes went red and blinded him. The room began to shake but he couldn't see what was going on. "I've got to focus!" Duke said to himself. He concentrated on his vision, or lack there of. The more he focussed the clearer his sight became. Though still it only hues of red. "God damn it!!" Duke berated himself as he heard screams and confusion.

Then it happened. He passed the barrier. Reached the check point. Attained the next level. His eyes remained red, but his pupils returned as predatory slits, and his eyes became blood shot with black veins. His sight returned, though he could still identify colours everything seemed to have a red tint. Duke first noticed the biggest change when he looked at Damo, and 'Damo' isn't exactly what he saw. Not exactly, He could define Damo' body as a black outline of itself, but the only true detail was his blood. Duke could see Damo's veins and his heart, his arms, legs, brain, hands. He could see all of Damo's body by the lay out of his veins and where his blood flowed.

Duke blinked a few ties and his vision didn't change. He stood up and looked at Jinx, he knew it was her by the feminine shape of the vein lay out and the temperature of her blood. "This is different." Duke told himself as he looked around for other people. He saw the group of cultists though they were all crowding together he could still clearly define where one system ended and another began. He took a few steps to the right to avoid the heat of Jinx body, and looked for the crowd again. There was now a wall in the way but he could still make out vague outlines, and if he tried hard enough the people became almost completely visible. He could see the form of a wolf' veins in the crowd, it had to be Nayomi.

As Damo moved around behind him Duke noticed he didn't need to be looking at Damo to know where he was. The same went for the others, he could pinpoint their location. He could [I]feel[/I] where there blood was, and where it was going. The it came to him, Duke knew what was going on. He had always been conscious of where his blood was, and what it was doing. It must be that now, Duke had become [I]aware[/I] of the blood in others as well. Since Jinx lost focus the fire wall had dissipated, and rather than let his team mates get ton to shreds by vengeful cultists Duke decided to take action.

First a single man ran into the room Duke immediately memorized his blood lay out and reacted accordingly. A solid blow directly to the man's jugular vein and a quick kick to the carotid artery in his left leg disrupted the man's blood flow enough to send him to the ground coughing badly. Dukes eyes became wide as he scanned the rest. He could see when their blood provided their muscles with oxygen to work faster, he could see their hart speeding up when they were about to attack, he could see it all.

Duke reached into his pocket and grabbed out an x-acto knife, working quickly he made a quick incision to the coughing man's jugular sending him to the ground completely bleeding to death. Duke felt someone coming from behind, someone he wasn't familiar with, though it could have been a team mate who he had yet to truly [I]see[/I] .So Duke refrained from attacking blindly, so to speak. His suspicions were confirmed when he was the man, clearly not one of his own and wielding a large sword, the man swung at Dukes neck.

Reacting as soon as he saw the man' muscles tighten to bring up the sword, Duke evaded the blow, and managed to slice open the man's left triceps making his left arm too painful to use. Duke's knives were specially ordered, made of surgical steel with the blade's edge measuring less than a hundredth of a millimetre thick, it cut through human flesh like a hot knife through butter. The cultist was resilient and continued to fight minus one arm. He swung with a right hook, Duke ducked it and cut open the man's side, with his vision aiding him Duke managed to nick another artery. The man fell to the ground bleeding profusely.

Duke reached into his other pocket and retrieved his second scalpel replica "Who's next?" he taunted rashly scanning the fanatic's bodies for arteries, large veins and general weak points.

"Kendra!" he said feeling her familar pressecne she ran over and suddenly two Kendra's hugged him. Both consious
"Huh I'm still consious?" she asked but the other vanished and Kendra just smiled and hugged Reiku and they shared a short kiss. Both blushing as Kendra looked at Nayomi and smiled
"well then. Shall we get to tearing this place apart' Reiku said spinning his cane around"[/COLOR][/SIZE][/CENTER]

[COLOR="DarkRed"][SIZE="2"]?See you on the other side? JB said with a smirk as he pushed Sin through his shadow with the kids. Now facing a surrounding group of cultists, JB with a grin on his face said, "Now what am I supposed to do with all of you? I know I don't really know you yet, but it's time to pull your weight Kai and show me what you can really do!" And with that, the surrounding cultists began to come at the two of them with swords, knives, and daggers drawn.

The the first one charged JB swinging his blades wildly, but very skillfully, JB dodged each swing with no problem, finally parrying his opponent's last attack and using the cultist's own blade to slice his throat. Meanwhile, Kai and her two demon counterparts made haste at their first kill, and began on their second. Innocent after Innocent charged at the two, until it was at the point where JB was fighting six men at once and it started to become difficult to dodge their attacks, [i]"Shit that was close!"[/i] JB thought as he dodged three attacks from three different blades, one even grazed his shirt cutting a long slash across his shirt, "Okay thats it!! Velox, Ieiunium! " JB yelled as the incantation he muttered came into effect and his body flashed white for a brief second, "Now I'm five times faster!" The increased burst of speed was incredible, and did wonders for JB.

In less than five minutes, JB had successfully subdued a little over fifty cultist, and was tired nonetheless. Remembering Kai, he turned around a looked at the spot that she was in, only to realize that she wasn't there any longer, "Where the hell did she go?" JB said as he grew curious of her whereabouts, "She must have ran to the chapel to check on Sin...I better get over there too." And with that being said, JB turned on his heel and headed for the Chapel, still under the influence of the previous haste spell that he cast on himself, JB ran faster than ever to get to the Chapel [i]"I hope Sin, Kai, and the kids are alright..."[/i]

Within three minutes, JB had reached the outside of the Cathedral-like building. He stood at least 10 feet in front of the building behind a tree to inspect the area of any oncoming cultists. ?Find the sacrifices!? JB heard as he looked towards the cultists who was talking, ?Split up and search every building or face the wrath of lord Jin? As five guys began to approach the doors of the cathedral, JB sprung into action.

"I can't let them go in there, or else they'll be able to get to Sin and the kids...." Carefully formulating a plan in his head, JB knew what needed what to be done. "Evanui, Evanesco" JB whispered as he began to turn invisible. "Now all I have to is take out those guys, and turn their bodies invisible so no other Innocent can find them in there." Charging at the cultists, JB removed two of the pins in his Pin Needle bracelet, and stabbed them all in vital points on their necks. After mumbling the incantation once more, the men's bodies graduately faded away. "Now to get in the Cathedral and warn Sin....Videor, Prodeo." Suddenly, the mumbled incantation made JB visible once again as he entered into the dark Chapel.

"Why is it so dark in here?" JB said as he looked for a light switch and began to think, [i]I hope Sin and Kai are alright....[/i]

Damo watched as Duke began dispatching the innocents left and right. "His powers have increased so much...." He was cut off as a cultist slamed him with a large staff sending him sailing. He crashed into a wall a few feet behind him and came up ready to defend. "AH" He went down to a knee. The wound he sustained earlier pulsed and he could not find the strength to stand.

As the man prepared for a killing blow Damo focused his power and created another shield. "thud" The hammer made a dull sound as it hit, and though the blow sent a shock through him Damo held strong. Damo focused as much energy as he could mustered and changed the shield into a wave of energy that crashed into the man sending him flying across the room. 'Hey this isn't so bad...i need a weapon though" Damo closed his eyes and tried to hunt for a weapon. Upon doing so he realized he could actually see the room. Not in color or from his own eyes. But it was as though he was floating above everybody he could see Duke, Nayomi, Reiku, Kendra and the rest. "Jinx!" damo called out as he saw the innocent creeping from behind.

"thud" his blade landed on a blue light. damo surrounded her with his shield. He was amazed when he opened his eyes because normally there was no way he could've seen Jinx through thewall of peope in front of him. But with his mind he could see everyone. He closed his eyes again and focused on the shield. He turned his energy into a blade and began toying with the man. He thrusted and parried the energy. "thud, thud" As the two blades, one physical and the other mental slamed into one another...."I wonder?" Damo feinted a thrust and brought the weapon up into a killing thrust. The innocent had no time to react and was struck by the blade....

The blade acted as more of a baseball bat and smashed the man into the ground not severing his head as Damo had predicted. "At this rate we'll have them beat in no ti...." damo was cut short as the pain in his leg returend. This time the pain creeped up his leg....The innocents had never planned on letting him live.. The dagger was poisoned.....this was not good. Damo started losing consciousness and new he was usless to the team. He mustered up what shield he could and let himself collapse. "God I hope this holds' was the last thing he could think before drifting into a sleep....possibly his last.

[COLOR="Navy"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Nayomi began to shake violently as her feral side grew stronger, it was as if it were burning her alive. She snapped at anything that moved and worse it didn't matter friend from foe. She lunged at one of cult members charging Duke and began to rip his throat out, once done there she turned on the rest of them, her teeth coated red from the man's blood an her feral side in a blood lust the men knew the were in danger. She spun around as she heard Duke's voice.
"Nayomi? Are you alright?"
She felt her feral side advance on him, her fangs barred, she felt her self losing the battle and it scared her. She screamed inside her head as she lunged for Duke.
"Nayomi what the fuck is wrong with you?!"
He dodged and was about to rant at her again when he saw blood on his clothes that was not his.
"Nayomi you have to let me look at you."
She growled in response but as she went to lung again her body gave out falling to the floor. She lay looking up at the ceiling as Duke ran over to her and began to run his hands through her fur only to find a dozen wounds all over her body.
"My god Nayomi, your bleeding to death..."[/FONT][/COLOR]

[Takuuya]

The cathedral doors open, A man entered, well Sin believed it was was a man or the silhouette of one.
?Innocent, prepare to die? Sin snarled then he lunged from the pillar he was clinging to at the ?Innocent?

The man moved with such swiftness Sin didn?t know what happen. But he was dangling 3 or so inches of the ground and being held by his shirt collar.

?What was the purpose in casting a dark spell when you just alerted me of your position, BEFORE you attacked, I mean at least gloat after your adversary is on the ground? The mans voice was in a mocking matter-of-fact tone.

Sin flailed then a growl escaped his lips. ?We?ll see how smart you are when I?m draining your brain out through your neck? The man uttered a spell and the darkness began to dissipate as if it where a fog. ? Sin gasp looking into the face of J.B as he was let on the ground.

J.B cocked his head and looked at Sin with searching eyes ?Um? L?anseny, What did you mean by that com?? J.B was cut off when Sin held fast to him.
?Je?Jerrod..I..I?m so glad it?s you? Sin sniff ?I was scared out of my mind? J.B awkwardly patted Sin head. ?It?s ok.. It?s ok,? a minute passed and Sin pulled away wiping his tear and blood stained face he looked at J.B?s shirt and mumbled ?Sorry bout that mate?

?It?s fine, as long as you and the kids are safe? J.B looked around. ?Where?s the children??

?I told them to hide in the back because I thought I heard cultist men outside? Sin said.

?And Kai??

?No idea??

?Ok well first things first, we need to get them out of here? J.B said and started towards the back.

?It?s the door to the le?.Mmp? a painful gasp came from Sin

?To the what?? J.B turned around and looked at Sin, his eyes were wide and he was trembling slightly. J.B?s gaze lowered and he saw a arrow protruding from the middle of Sin?s chest the tip dripping with green poisonous looking stuff and blood. Sin dropped to his knees. J.B saw three men standing at the door one with a cross bow, another with a claymore, and the last a great axe.

J.B cast an incantation upon himself and bent over Sin ?Be still I?ll take this out? Even if you hadn?t blink you still would not have seen J.B snatched the arrow out of Sin and a second later he was thrusting it in the archer?s throat but the largest man with the claymore grabbed him then the Innocent who held the axe punched him in the face.
?Stop it!? Sin yelled shakily getting to his feet, just then The door where the girls went to find the bathroom open. Rebecca and the bigger girl shrieked in unison.

?Get out of here you two? Sin managed to say, his eyes still on J.B and his aggressors.

?Retrieve those girls, Arnon, I will handle this one? Said the man who held J.B who was trashing about wildly like an animal ?Sin take the girls and run? J.B yelled.

?I?m not leaving you, Jerrod? Sin was barely talking but what he said everyone heard.

?What do you expect to accomplish?? Ask the brute holding J.B ?That poison is pure and it wont be long until it kills you?

?Not only do I need blood to replenish but now to flush out this poison? Sin thought franticly. ?But I must get us out of here.?

?Out of my way shrimpy ? Said Arnon he threw his axe down. ?I wont need this for you child? He started to run to Sin, his huge mammoth fist raised.

?L?ANSENY!? Yelled J.B somehow he had flipped the claymore wielding man over his shoulder and taken his weapon.

But it was too late.

Sin held out his hand summoning all the power he had to put up a shadow shield and Arnon brought his heavy fist crashing through it. The shield broke as if it were glass and it sounded as such, before the pieces hit the ground they vanished. Arnon?s fist lifted Sin off his feet backwards but Sin recovered in the air twisting acrobatically and landed in front of the two girls then dropped on one knee.

Arnon advanced to him and he a flash came crashing down upon the floor, J.B had embedded the claymore in his back and pulled it out dripping with blood.

?Are you all right Sin? J.B was breathing hard but concern was written on his face. He helped him up. Sin motioned the girls to him. ?Let?s get out of here, the others or in the back there should be an exit somewhere back there.?

?And if not? said J?B holding the claymore, ?I?ll make one?..Hurry I hear more men coming this way?

[COLOR="DimGray"][SIZE="2"][CENTER]The number of cultist were growing thinner by the minute, Reiku and Kendra worked like a well oiled machine espescilly with their new found powers. Kendra would make a copy of herself and distract one of the cultist, when he got within Reiku's range Reiku would cause a sink hole to swallow the man. Before Reiku''s power was limited to the air because the ground, lest it be made of glass or marble. would absorb sound but his new powers allowed his power to travel as easily threw the earth as it would water. Opening up a whole new range of attacks. Kendra was also glad, before, she would have to go unconsious to astroproject. Now she simply had to will another self out and she had two of herself. It was excellent. Reiku turned to see Nayomi going feral, so he slid is cane along the ground and made the ground near Nayomi like sand so she moved slowly and Kendra created a ring of clones to protect her so she could calm down. It didn't matter if she hurt the clone's too much, only a few were real the rest were illusion clones.
"Calm down Nayomi!" Reiku called to her [/CENTER][/SIZE][/COLOR]

[SIZE="2"][COLOR="DarkRed"]As Sin guided the kids to the back of the Chapel, JB could hear the footsteps of men coming their way....it was at least 6....no...7 guys. Thinking fast, JB proceeded to baricade the door, "Mentis, Permoveo", almost instantly, four pews uprooted themselves from the Chapel floor and began to stack on top of each other just like JB willed it to do. "There...that should hold 'em for a while." Clutching the Claymore in his hand, JB made his way to the back.

Upon arrival to the back of the Chapel, JB saw the kids running around, frantically looking for the exit, but a few feet to left, JB found Sin and a little girl sitting on the floor. She was crying and clutching what seemed to be Sin's stuffed bunny. Sin was panting heavily, his face was beginning to loose its color as he feverishly began to sweat. "L'ansey....are you okay?"

"Big kid said that he wasn't feeling good," the teary-eyed girl began, "So he sat down, then he told us to find the exit...I'm scarred..."

"Don't worry Rebecca..." Sin said while breathing heavily, "We'll get you lot out of here....right Jerrod?"

With a reassuring smile, JB looked at Rebecca and said "Yep, that's right. I promise we'll get you guys outta here, and those bad men will never try to hurt you again."

"You promise?"

"Scouts honor!" JB said while looking goofy. With a tear strewn face, Rebecca let out a weak giggle and got up to help the other kids look for a way out. Turning back to Sin, who was now beginning to look even paler, JB gave his diagnosis, "The poison...I didn't think that it would spread this fast, and it seems that arrow punctured your lungs too...plus we're in a church of all places...not a great place for someone with demon blood eh?"

"No need to worry guv...I'll be alright in no time..."

"Actually, you'll be [i]dead[/i] in no time if we don't take care of this wound...but you're right...no worries, since I got this poison laced blade from the last Innocent we fought, I can make an antidote....but first things first, lets get outta here so your demon half can heal that wound, and from the sound of it, they're starting to break through my little barricade." Taking Sin under his left arm, and dragging the Claymore with his right, JB made to help the kids find the exit.

"Yo Big Kids!!!" A boy shouted as he ran up to JB and Sin, "We found the exit!!"

"That's awesome! Great job you guys!" JB said as he helped Sin towards the make shift exit.

"The door is covered up though with old books and stuff...we tried to move most of it, but a lot of it was really heavy..."

"No problem." Concentrating solely on the pile of books, JB muttered the Mind Movement incantation once again, "Mentis, Permoveo" and the books neatly moved to the side of the door. "Okay, let's get outta here." The kids hurriedly filed out, and JB and Sin were the last ones to exit the building. They could see the sun beginning to rise.

"I think I can walk now Jerrod..." Sin said, standing upright once more and his breathing began to regulate. " Still kinda dizzy....but I'm good now." It was evident that the poison was still in affect as Sin swayed a little.

"Before we go, I gotta throw them off of our trail..." Poking his head inside of the Chapel once more, JB used the Mind Movement incantation to move the books in front on of the door once again, completely blocking it from view before closing the door.

"So where do we go from here?" Sin said while shaking his head to stop the dizziness.

"We have to get these kids to safety...so I was thinking a local police station...I'm sure that they're filed under a missing children's report."

"Great, I remember passing one on the way to the hotel."

"Can you warp us all there?"

"I can give it a shot...now lets see..." Closing his eyes and concentrating, Sin proceeded to make the shadow that would take them to he Police station. "Huh?" Opening his eyes, Sin looked frantic "It-it's not working!"

"What?!"

"My powers...! They're not working at all!!"

[i]"Just like what happened to me in my dream..."[/i] JB thought to himself as he looked at Sin with a confused look. "Just calm down L'ansey...I'm sure that it's just the poison spreading through your body." Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out one of the vials of yellow liquid that he packed for this trip, "I kinda figured that we'd be needing this." While unscrewing the cap, Sin struggled to see JB as his vision became more and more blurred. The poison was taking it's toll on his body. Meanwhile, JB filled the bottle cap with the yellow liquid, and sat the open bottle on the ground.

"What are you doing mate?"

"You'll see." JB said as he tilted the Claymore over the small bottle's opening. Once the sword was over the bottle, JB began pouring the yellow liquid form the bottle cap onto the Claymore. As it trickled down the broadswoard, the liquid began to turn a deathly shade of black, and when it finally reached the tip, the drop fell into the bottle making all of the liquid a quick shade of black, before turning back into it's original hue of yellow. "Here. Take a sip of this...it'll help."

"You're joking right? I just saw the color that stuff turned....."

"Oh stop being a wuss."

"If you say so..." Sin said eying the bottle suspiciously, "Cheers..." and with that, he took a sip.

"Feel any better?"

"Well...I'm not dizzy anymore...let's try to get to the police station again." JB gave a quick nod and began gathering the kids, "Ready? Here we go...." And in less than 3 seconds, they appeared in front of the police station.

"Great job L'ansey. I'm gonna go and turn the kids in...I'll be out in about 5 min." While JB and the other kids headed towards the door, Rebecca turned around and ran back towards Sin.

"Thanks Bigger Kid!" Rebecca said as she hugged Sin's leg, "Oh, and here's your bunny...I kept him safe jus like you told me to."

"Thanks...and you did an awesome job!"

Emerging from the police station, JB had a smirk of satisfaction written across his face."You ready to find the others?"

"Yea, but where exactly do we look?"

"I tried the com links, but I got no response, so we may be out of range. For now, lets just go back to the last spot we saw them."

"Roger that sir!" Sin said jokingly as his shadow enveloped the two, and they were instantaneously at the spot where they left the others. Bodies littered the scene as a sign of their teammates previous victories. "Where the blooming hell is everyone?"

"I dunno bu--"

"And how exactly will this poison spread?" JB was cut off by the sound of Duke talking in his ear.

"The Com Link is in range again!" Sin joyfully said, signifying that he heard the conversation as well.

"Which means that they're nearby...all we have to do is find them now." Looking around, JB saw a manhole cover that was unhinged and pushed to the side. "I think they're underground." JB said as he walked toward the sewer opening.

"You're joking right...? Don't tell me we have to go down there..."

"Yep...and from the sound of it, they need or help."

"But sewers stink!"

"Aww suck it up" JB said as he grabbed Sin buy the arm and hopped down into the darkness.

"Bloody hell...it wreaks down here..." Sin said as he tried desperately to fan the scent away from his nose. "Now which way do we go?"

"I'll tell you in a sec...." Pointing his right index finger in front of him, JB mumbled an incantation. "Quaero Reperio...Vox" And instantaneously a beam of red light shot out of JB's finger tip and lead the way to their comrades. In the distance, the sound of police sirens could be heard.

"Blimey...what did you just do?"

"It's a locater spell."

"How does it know where to go?"

"I told it to search for energy. But don't worry, it doesn't leave a trail."

"Clever...now let's get goin shall we? We don't want the cops to arrest us for those bodies up there."

"Before we go, let me do one more thing." Turning towards Sin, JB muttered another incantation, "Velox, Ieiunium...had to give us a little speed boost." And with that, the two took off at three times their normal speed, following the light and moving in every direction it went. Pretty soon, they found themselves going deeper into the sewers even when it merged into a cavern.

"Jerrod, do you think Kai's down here?"

"I hope so...." JB said in a hopeful tone. To be honest, he felt kind of bad because he didn't keep much of an eye on her. Listening to the sound of their comrades in battle on the Com Links, they began to go much faster.

10 minutes later they arrived at an open door, only to see Louis single handedly take out 10 cultist with a semi powerful spell. But unbeknown to him, there were three more charging at him from behind. Picking up a crossbow that once belonged to one of the cultist, JB launched the first arrow, piercing one charging Innocent in the neck and sending him crashing to the ground, while Sin used the other two's shadow to snap their necks, instantly killing them.

JB reloaded the crossbow, and with a huge grin, said "The calvary has arrived!"

Duke could still see Nayomi, though only barely. He was still seeing in blood and she hadn't had much left. He considered calling to Louis, then thought to himself [I]'I dot need him for this, I can do [B]this[/B] on my own.'[/I] Duke cut open his palm with one of the x-acto knives. Then proceeded to flow his blood through Nayomi's body. He didn't know her blood type, but Duke had a rare gene that made his blood compatible with all other types.

As Duke's blood filled Nayomi's body her feral side subsided. Her lack of blood and imanent death had triggered a defence mechanism in her mind. Allowing her most basic, and in this case feral, instincts to take over. Duke still had control of his blood even as it went into Nayomi, he lost more and more control as it fused and mixed with her blood. Though the little control he did have, he used to stop her from bleeding out again.

Duke spoke into the com-link "Come in, Come in, mayday. We have a man...we have a woman down, it's Nayomi. I need any medics to come to my position A.S.A.P. ...Follow the screams?over" With that Duke, while maintaining his control over Nayomi's bleeding, began killing the remaining cultists in the most painful ways he could come up with. He harnessed his blood into powerful steams, and began throwing cultists into corners, through doorways, or often half in through the door half into the wall next to it. He even went so far as to use the current move he used to crack an innocents neck, to twist the cultists' arms and legs into snapping. Screams of agony and pain surrounded the area. Looking down at Nayomi he felt his heart sink "Just hang on, help is on the way."
