Anime Sometimes You Wonder... The Stupid Edits Thread

Alright, so you know what this is. It's all about dubbing. There are good dubs (getting more common nowadays, thankfully) and there's the stuff you couldn't be paid to watch (4Kids One Piece, DiC Sailor Moon, Saban Dragon Ball Z, etc.) Anyway, this thread is here so we can all laugh at the stupid, random or pointless edits of any dub ever. These edits can range from the slightly funny to the ones that just make you go "WTFBBQ?" to the head-pounder idiotic. Examples include:

I honestly wish they had just skipped airing that episode. It wasn't even that important to the overall plot.

(I won't lie. Most of my faves come from 4Kids.)

They don't all have to be visual edits, either. they can be dialogue changed to make it sound like a deceased person hasn't really died or other such matters.

Anyway, what Editing moments have you experienced worth noting for stupidity?

In Appleseed Ex when Deunan and Briareos are looking at the mechs in the Poseidon ship towards the end of the movie when Deunan picks the pink one, in the Japnese version Briareos talks to Deunan about the mech and hits on her almost, but in the English dubbed version he just says it wouldn't suit him. This edit makes no sense and seems to fit the criteria.

[SIZE="1"]Going through DBZ and looking for stupid edits is a fairly pointless affair, there really were just too many to count. Best ones that come to mind are the Adam West Batman style flashes when someone gets hit, God knows in a show about superheroes who defeat their enemies in hand-to-hand combat that we'd actually see some of it. I think most of my favorites also come from 4kids. For some reason, they always seem to just edit things in the most stupid ways.

Or what about in the 4Kids, Luffy vs Mr.0

At the end of the fight, he (Mr.0) says, "how did you hit me!" and luffy is supposed to say how blood is liquid, but the edit is luffy says "when I fight underground, I get sweaty, which creates water."

Well, it happened in MegaMan NT Warrior where Lan was eating onigiri and they called it "cupcakes". jeez XD.

it's like someone eating steak while another calls it chicken!!

And some name changed in the show make me wonder very much ^^;.

i wonder what would happen if japanese companies tried the same thing with Western cartoons. Maybe Barney would be "Takashi" XD.
