An unexplainable explosion rips through the heart of Empire City. Buildings crumble and set aflame in the destruction. Chaos and terror have amassed within seconds afterwards as the confused citizens attempt to leave the once peaceful city. No authority figure is within sight. The exits however, have all been heavily blockaded. And the people of Empire City learn that they have been quarantined.

It has been 10 days since the incident, and Empire City has been thrown into a state of disarray. People everywhere are struggling to survive, and civility is now a thing of the past. Empire City stretches across 3 islands; each now controlled by a powerful gang called the Reapers. With no law present however, this was relatively easy to accomplish. News and radio broadcasts all announce not to panic and that everything will get better soon. But this is clearly far from the truth. A man who goes by the title “Voice of Survival”, hijacks these broadcasts to inform the citizens of food drops and other things needed for just that- their survival.

But other strange things are happening throughout the city as well. A handful of people are developing superior abilities far from that of regular humans. This however, is only happening to those who were hit by the mysterious blast 10 days ago. Others were either immediately killed, or infected with a threatening disease that seems to be spreading like the plague.

Name: Riannne Cora

Age: 16

Bio: Ria’s family moved to Empire City when she was 13, but never quite felt at home there. It was different from the country. People always seemed to be in some sort of rush every hour of the day. Her little brother Matthew seemed to adjust better to city life than she did. She couldn’t help but be a little jealous. But other than that, she lived a fairly average life- until the incident.
Her mother and father were out shopping when it hit. Ria and Matt were home watching TV. Glass shattered, terrified screams rang out from everywhere it seemed- including Ria herself. Everything was a blur; she only remembers the house being on fire, her coughing little brother in her arms. Everyone outside seemed to be just as baffled as she was. She checked the news channel, but the cast didn’t bring up any helpful information. Ria fled with her little brother, somewhere, anywhere. Everywhere, people were scattering, breaking into stores. Ria went to an apartment on the 16th floor; she had always felt safer higher up.
For the following week, she kept checking the news. The only time anything helpful would ever come up was when a mysterious man, or voice, would suddenly appear on the channel. Then something happened that Ria really didn’t expect- her brother caught some kind of cold. It wasn’t too bad at first, but then it got to the point where he would have trouble breathing on a daily basis, he seemed to grow weaker- unable to run around like a healthy little brother should. Ria watched helplessly, only able to wrap him in blankets when the chills came on, as Matt’s condition worsened each day.

Abilities/Skills: can manipulate light to make self invisible, possibly others as well.

Bio: She had just moved to the city from her original home on a farm in the mountains. She lived with her aunt and uncle in an apartment since her parents were killed. Neige had just gotten settled in when the blast occurred. Her aunt and uncle died immediately after the blast. She took refuge in an abandoned house. It fortunately, and somehow, had a TV and was stocked with plenty of food. Over the next ten days, she began to develop strange physical features. She wrote down on a piece of paper what happened.
[B]Day 1- I feel funny. I wonder what's wrong with me...
Day 2- I seem to be getting... hairier.
Day 3- I have claws now? I should stop...
Day 4- A tail? Am I going to turn into a cat?
Day5- My ears have transformed into... cat ears, I think...
Day 6- I'm getting used to the tail. Maybe I can be a superhero!
Day7- I'm glad that I still have my own human mind in control.
Day8- The news isn't helping much... but that guy interrupting it is interesting.
Day 9- I think the blast might have done this to more than just me.
Day 10-I've decided to find the others who have gotten powers during the blast. [/B]

Abilities/Skills: Claws, stealth, and incredible skills with a bow.
