Hmm. Of course I would have to post something after hearing news of the Montauk Monster. Wow. What do you say after seeing that? Raccoon? Sure, the tufts of fur are similar to the colour of a raccoons. But the rest of the monster just does not add up. It's definitely not a turtle out of it's shell, considering the teeth. It's too big to be a cat in my opinion. Weird. Maybe a decomposing dog. Maybe the alleged others that were also seen were just a lie. But, my real concern is (please don't make fun of me, haha.) ghosts and demons. I'm afraid of these things, and I very much believe in them, though I can tell when something is just fake. Recently, a friend and I watched quite a load of Ghost/demon videos, and good lord. They were scary.

I'd like to note a few of the videos that gave us chills.

Fallen Angel (demon) found in woods of Catalonia

Ghost crying in bathroom (also really scary)

Ghost (or some strange presence) in mirror

These can't very well be explained... Perhaps they are fake, but I believe they're true. The last one is especially creepy, considering what a faked version looks like. How could they do that? :/ The demon one may be the scariest I've ever seen however. Creepy.

What say you of these things? Also, don't forget other cryptids, such as the Jersey Devil, Bigfoot, Goatman... etc. Haha. I'm not sure I believe them so much as I do ghosts...

Okay, here are my responses that I said outloud to each video...

First one: HOLY *BLEEP*IN' *BLEEP* ON A *BLEEP*IN' STICK! O_o

Second one: *YAWN*

Third one: Urgh...

As you can see, the first one scared me s***less. That was some disturbing ******* right there! I would have said the same thing, but I wouldn't have run though... I might shout "TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER!" to try and get rid of my fear...

The first video was pretty creepy. I actually said holy *beep* the same time as the guy in the video.

The second video I didn't find very impressive.

The third video I didn't find very impressive either.

I don't know what to think with these videos. I already have a believe that there are demons and other creatures out there. The way I was brought up my mom always believed in ghost, demons, angels, and so on. That first video though, I don't know what that was but neither me or my father could figure it out.

The first video also reminded me kind of this thing that happened when I went to private catholic school. my friends and I were helpers for mass. On one of the days we were practicing we found this large white feathers. We don't know where they had come from at all. If it had been the priest or someone that put out the feathers, which I doubt cause we knew where everyone was in the church at that time.

The only explanation I can think of is the term Fallen Angel... I suppose that fallen angels have fallen for a reason. In this case, evil. :/ Now... Catholic school does sound pretty creepy...If I had ever seen feathers, I wouldn't have really thought much about it until I saw that video. The guy that keeps releasing the videos involving the little girl in the second video has since moved out of his home, but also made a few videos involving the girl, and his pantry door. The pantry door ones are kind of creepy. But cannot top the fallen angel video.

Whew.. Has anyone here heard of the London Ghost Walk?

I've heard of the London Ghost Walk. Its featured in a few of the history channels show that involve ghost and such. If I remember correctly the London Ghost Walk is part of the Jack the Ripper Walk. To me either walk sounds pretty fun to do. You get learn about some new history and maybe have a scare.

I had acctually done a report on the wolf- dog hybrid for school and now everyone is terrified that they will move down the coast and reach us, but it is unlikely because it would take a long time to reach us.
I've seen all those before, so none of them scare me. Anymore. I like watching vids like that in the dark when I'm alone. Then when I can't sleep at all the rest of the night. I love that feeling.
I like watching vids like that alone and in the dark too, but my cat always ruins it.

It doesn't make any sense to believe that any of those videos were real. The first one required only a malnourished actor and a pair of special contact lenses (or even easier, some quick work in AfterEffects or just some setting on the camera). The second one was just short of an all-out joke. The ghost's arms seem to be made out of clothes hangers or something, lol. The third one uses the same effect as in that fake video you showed, just done more professionally (just because a college kid with ten minutes and a copy of AfterEffects can't do it doesn't mean it isn't possible lol).

Bottom line: if it can be explained through normal means, then there is no reason to assume a paranormal explanation.

Which was exactly what it was... I've seen that on a gag website dedicated to making prank videos used to scare your friends... I forgot what it was called or I would give a link. Needless to say, I was fooled at first, but after researching the site, I found that I had been duped. :animesigh

The Montauk Monster: I didn't see any hair or teeth... To me, it really did look like a turtle that was out of its shell. Oh well though, I don't believe in the supernatural.

If only religions operated on the same reasoning.
If they did, then they wouldn't be a religion now would they. =P

Anyway, I don't really believe in those type of videos. Usually those kind of things turn out to be fake. About the only fun in them is seeing how the trick was done.

Watching stuff like that is more just for a good laugh than anything else.

I personally think that with all the super intelligent and naturally curious people in this world we would have found undeniable proof by now as to the existence of any "paranormal" or "supernatural" being, creature, whatever by now. I think all 3 of the videos are either intentional or unintentional hoaxes. Perhaps the poster of the video really believes what he or she saw was real, but i don't believe that it was. I watched the third one first and thought it was just done with special effects or whatever. The 2nd one was creepy, but totally possible to fake. Perhaps some jerk playing tricks? The 1st one looked like some kid was lost, hah. But who knows for certain?

There are a lot of people out there that take it upon themselves to try to prove or disprove theses myths, and as far as i can tell, nobody's proved a thing.

While I might believe in the existence of some supernatural life [if it can even be called that] on the other hand I find these hoaxes cheap, abominable, and a distraction from perfectly reasonable questions about real animals. Like, what the hell is an Okapi and why does it look that way?

But honestly if there is supernatural life/unlife, sea monsters, and other such cryptozoological beings, they're definitely much much smarter than us. Otherwise we would've caught, hung, dried, and stuffed one by now.

It's true! At least it is of the religion I belong to. I swear... some of it makes no sense whatsoever. O_O I'm not kidding either. Some members will argue that such things are real where others will argue that they aren't.

I'm sitting on the side thinking... make up your minds already!!! XP Silly people! :catgirl: So religion = people who are constantly confused about what they believe or don't believe!

Sorry for bringing this one back, i know that's frowned upon here, but i just found a video today that debunked the 3rd video that the threadstarter posted. It's a little corny, but i really like it. Here it is:
