If there is one thing that every magician needs it is his hat. And the best trick a magician can do with his hat is make rabbits disappear. Why rabbits, you ask? Is there something special about them that allows them to vanish?

Well, it's actually not the rabbits at all that are vanishing. It is the magicians trusty hat and wand that do all the work.

Where a vanishing critter goes when they are in the hat remains a mystery even to the magicians. They only know how to send them away and bring them back. It's a secret that has stayed with the rabbits since the beginning of magic.

Since only skilled magicians know how to fully utilize the abilities of a magic hat, an amateur magician is likely to make many irreversible mistakes.

Let's say a young magician is alone in his room practicing the art of vanishing rabbits. He has made 4 different kinds of forest critters disappear into the abyss that is his hat and failed to bring all of them back. Where do they end up? [B]Rabbica[/B].



[CENTER][b]About Rabbica[/b][/CENTER]
Rabbica is a magical world existing entirely within every single magicians hat. It is inhabited mostly by Rabbits and Rabbitfolk (friendly creatures that aren't rabbits). When the first magician stuffed a rabbit into his hat and failed to bring it back, Rabbica was born. The only known way to get in and out of Rabbica is through a magicians hat.

Rabbica has very different rules then our world. Any being that ever enters Rabbica gains human characteristics. It's rumored that a Rabbit/Rabbitfolk pertains the personality of the magician who cast them there.

While every critter in Rabbica is humanoid, only Rabbits have the gift of magic.



[CENTER][b]The Story[/b][/CENTER]
It's said that there is a way to leave Rabbica without being summoned by a magician. However, some Rabbitfolk have become so attached to Rabbica that they deny the existence of this "Gate to Beyond" in order to keep Rabbica alive and prosperous.

At first the location of this Gate was a well-known fact and brave Rabbits and Rabbitfolk attempted to get there. Over time it simply became a rumour, then a myth and eventually just a legend.

Now while Rabbica is in its darkest times five brave magicians pets, brand new to the world of Rabbica, will learn of this legend and begin their adventure to find the Gate to Beyond.[/SIZE][/INDENT]

This is the first RP on OtakuBoards to ever be an official television show. The basic idea is that after we've each written up a character we all become writers for the show "Magic Hat Rabbits: The Legend of the Gate to Beyond."

In the actual RP everything will be divided into episodes. Each episode will be divided into three posts. Instead of posting about your character, you'll actually be posting part of an episode so we all have free control over all characters.

The very first post in the RP will be the [b]Introduction[/b] to the first episode. If you're posting an introduction you are basically setting up the story for the rest of the episode.

The second post in the RP will continue the episode with a [b]Problem[/b]. If you're posting the problem you're continuing where the Introduction left off and creating a problem for the characters of the show to face.

The third post in the RP will finish off the episode with the [b]Solution[/b]. Posting the solution is rather easy as you're just tying all the loose ends presented in the first half of the episode and ending it on a (hopefully) happy note. It may seem overwhelming but it's actually very simple.

[b]Commercials[/b]
What would a TV network be without commercials? Whether or not you're participating in the RP is irrelevant if you just want to create a commercial. All you have to do is write/make a fake advertisement that might appear in between episodes of a TV show and PM it to me. Once I receive and approve it you can post your commercial in [i]any[/i] [b]OBtv[/b] show running. You can only post the same commercial once in each show but you can always just create another commercial.

What kind of things would you advertise and how? Your restrictions are only as limited as your creative abilities. If you want to advertise a thread you posted in the arcade then by all means create a short and fun ad for it and send it my way. If you want to create an ad for some zany invention that would never work in real life then you can.

I imagine commercials will come in all shapes and sizes. You can create a video on YouTube, make a picture on photoshop, write up a read-only commercial or even a combination of all three!

Thank you for reading this far! I know it's probably been a pain but we're finally at the fun part. The character you'll be creating for this show are one of the five ([SIZE="1"]subject to change[/SIZE]) Rabbits/Rabbitfolk new to Rabbica that want to find the gate. With that aside let's get started!

[b]Name:[/b] I can only imagine what kind of name a humanoid forest critter in a magical world would have so be as creative as you wish.
[b]Gender:[/b] M/F
[b]Age:[/b] Choose one of the three: Young, Middle-Aged, or Old.
[b]Race:[/b] Remember that only Rabbits can use magic. Other races to choose from include Ferrets, small birds, Mice, Rats, Cats (no dogs), and anything else that you think a magician could stuff into his hat. Remember the animal has to actually [i]fit[/i] in the hat to get to Rabbica so you likely won't see an elderly cat (but you can be a kitten ^_^).
[b]Appearance:[/b] What clothes your character wears and things like the colour of their fur go here.
[b]Class:[/b] As Rabbica is a world ruled by magic and magic-users there are many dangerous abominations and experiments gone wrong wandering the woods and plains of Rabbica. Therefore you must protect yourself and your party. I'm going to let you guys make your own classes but please remember that only Rabbits can use magic and to give a detailed description of your class if it's completely original.

He wears heavy leather with chainmail underneath.
[b]Class:[/b] [I]Protector[/I]
Although Percy isn't actually a full Rabbit he still pertains some of the same magic as his cousins. Mixing his slight magical abilities with raw strength and constitution he does everything within his power to prevent his mates from being wounded.

Not only do they amplify his magic and create a good shield against any sort of physical attack but he can stick them in the ground and run a powerful barrier between them.
[b]Personality:[/b] Like the magician that sent him to Rabbica, Percy is very over enthusiastic. Over the top schemes and plans have caused him more grief then he'd like but he remains a good resilient leader nonetheless.[/COLOR][/FONT]

[B]Appearance:[/B] Ephraim is an all white kitten, with tufts of black hair directly in front of his ears, and a black circle over his right eye. He wears black square-rimmed glasses- because his vision hasn’t been so good since crossing over- a black cadet cap and a black, short-sleeved button up shirt.

The powerhouse. The tank. The wrecking ball. Whatever you want to call him, the fighter is known to pack quite the punch. Each blow has the force of a moderately sized rock [come now, a bolder would kill these tiny creatures], and he can easily finish of a lesser woodland creature with one strike. Although only decently fast, what he lacks in speed he makes up for in durability and defense.
[B]Weapon:[/B] His hands and feet… or, rather, his paws.
[B]Personality:[/B] Ephraim is an exceptionally jovial kitty, always laid back, cracking jokes, and enjoying himself. That’s not to say he doesn’t take things seriously, or to say he’s humorously inconsiderate- he’s simply cheery and optimistic, all of the time. Even when he’s beating a renegade mouse or a deformed rat monster to a tiny pulp.[/INDENT][/FONT]

[The Spectacular Professor]

[B]Weapon:[/B] His tail, which he can pull off and use as a flail. It's all good, it'll grow back.
[B]Personality:[/B] Jerry the sane is totally not. He claims he was originally a human who entered Rabbica through a Witch's hat after she turned him into a newt ("I'll get better!") He loves to tell strange stories, especially ones about a man named Penelope. Though he calls himself a bard, he can't sing worth a lick and usually just speaks his stories normally. He wants to find the portal because he believes he can't "get better" until he's back on Earth.[/FONT]

Gender: Female

Age: Middle-Aged

Race: Dumeril Boa

Appearance: A rather less than slender Dumeril boa, Murciala tends to be slightly heavier due to her age as well as gender, but on the other hand, that is overcome by her hypnotizing grey and brown eyes and speckled pattern of brown and gold diamonds.

Class: Spy; Good at camouflage due to her distinct, or perhaps not so distinct coloring, subterfuge and smooth talking.

Weapon: Fangs, crushing coils

Personality: Murciala is a very clever yet equally amoral individual, perhaps due to her species, perhaps her gender, or perhaps due in part to the fact that she eats very small rabbits for dinner.[/FONT][/COLOR]

[B]Appearance: [/B]Sly is an average-looking ferret, long and lithe with black fur across his back and the top of his head, white fur on his belly and face (aside from the stripe of black across his eyes). He has a small chunk taken from his left ear, and a few of his whiskers are a little tattered and bent.

He wears a black button-down waistcoat and a heavy black leather belt around his waist, and a small, battered black cap perches on top of his head, wedged on between his ears.

[B]Class: [/B][I]Trickster
[/I]Sly is, as his name suggests, a cunning and witty individual. He relies on tricks and traps to move ahead in his quest, rather than relying on brute strength or magic. He is always thinking one step ahead, and that is how he has survived this far.

[B]Weapons: [/B]He generally relies on his sharp mind and quick reflexes rather than any physical attributes, but he carries a heavy black cane which can give an enemy a hefty whack. The cane also hides a few surprises of it's own...

[B]Personality: [/B]Sly by name, sly by nature. He is thoughtful and cunning, always keeping his cards close to his chest. He is sarcastic and has a dry sense of humour, all of which he uses to his advantage.

However, he does have one main vice, as did the magician who sent him into Rabbica. He is a gambler, and cannot help himself when there is a wager to be set. He sometimes wins, but more often than not he loses - it was a post-bet fight that lost him a chunk of his left ear.
