I'm sorry, but I write with the diction I am accustomed to.
That's nice and all, but if no one has a clue what you're saying, it doesn't do you much good does it? If you're looking to convince someone of a point, it's usually a good idea to make sure they know just what that point actually is. So though you may be accustomed to it, I know I won't be taking an argument that uses game statistics as a guide seriously, at all.

I know. That is why I am thankful that people ask questions, and listen when I answer.

It wouldn't be too dissimilar to taking the phrase "Its on the house" and misunderstanding it.

I've seen a little of everything when it comes to body modification. I have no issues with it but I do get a little surprised by it when I see it. Where I'm living now you just don't see a lot of people who really change their appearance in that manner. Though that surprise does not translate into dislike, I've never had an issue with that kind of thing.

I grew up with an uncle who along with a group of friends who would pull their motorcycles out and drive all over the US during the summers. That included them stopping by our place when I was little and many of his friends had lots of tattoos, so I grew up thinking it was normal that some people did that. =P

Now for myself, other than getting my ears pierced three times, I have no modifications. I'm pretty happy with what I have so I don't plan on adding anything else to it in the future.
Of Darren's. He states something that I admit annoys me VERY much to this day, and I have hinted at my distaste for the ideology a few times. I am someone who does not think you should just accept an opinion or act for the sake of diversity. In particular, against the phrase "there is nothing wrong with the need to have full body ink". This is something that I do not agree with.
And this is why, Crimson Spider, that I believe we'll never get along. Apparently I annoy you, and you've personally greatly offended me twice in two separate threads. (Probably without even realizing it) And by the way, I don't appreciate parsing words. If you're going to quote me, either take the actual quote or state that your paraphrasing. (Which, in this case, fails entirely because I never said that or intended for my words to come across like that)

And the fact that you don't think you should "just accept an opinion or act for the sake of diversity," makes you stubborn, hard to agree with, and somewhat prudish. I really wish you would get it through your head that most (if not all) people with full body ink, aren't doing it for the sake of diversity. If that's the case, then they're failing miserably since there's hundreds (if not thousands) of others out there who also have a lot of tattoos. The reasons they do it cannot be understood (nor determined) by someone with a biased and uneducated opinion.

That's the only argument that I've seen crop up multiple times.
Pro says: "We don't mind"
You say: "I do, because it's wrong to an extent"
Pro says: "That's your opinion"
You say: "Exactly" (and then proceed to attempt at ramming your ideas into our brains... Unsuccessfully)

Furthermore, you have no right to claim when someone has crossed the imaginary line for over-excessiveness. Again, it's all your opinion: We are confused at the blatant stubbornness and close-mindedness, but we still accept your opinion. (No matter how flawed we think it may be) It seems that you are the one who can't drop an argument until everyone is crystal clear on how you think and why you think that. Just a heads up: That's never going to happen. :animeangr

It wasn't you. It is the ideology. I really don't like taking a veil of willful ignorance to an issue because I don't want to face any criticism myself, or I don't want to step on anyone's toes. No, respect must be earned. I expect this from both my position, and from other positions.

The particular reason why I don't like this idea is from it's application: It is either hypocritical, or self defeating. When I say something, and then they say that I am stubborn and I should accept other people's beliefs, they are not accepting my belief. To adhere to the idea, they must sit back and let me criticize others and do nothing about it, because then it is discrimination. Hence, why I don't like the idea.

It is also obvious that you haven't paid attention to my posts in this thread. Read through the thread again.

BTW, sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me. I have as much right to claim that someone as crossed the line just as much as someone has the right to claim they have not.

I'm going to ask people to step back on the confrontational you have no right stance. Lets cut back on the snipping please since I really don't want to lock this thread down.

If someone's opinion bothers you that much, remember, we have an ignore function for a reason. I expect people to be a little more civil with their responses from now on. If anyone has a question or problem with this, then by all means send me a pm. Don't use the thread for it. Thanks.
