As the group made it's third trip around Shal looking for the old wizard, Abel noticed a small gathering of villagers gasping and screaming. Signaling the others he motioned them to follow him to the gathering. Since the exited the waterways, they'd been wary of anyone and anything that could be associated with the enemy.

As they grew close to the crowd, Abel realized quickly where the screams were coming from. Up on a platform was a giant of a man, as big as any barbarian he'd ever seen, but it was all wrong the man was clad in the armor of Camelot. "It looks like Grum has officially taken over control." Abel spoke quietly to Scar.

"Listen up Scum!" The voice of the big man boomed over the crowd, "King Grum has called for martial law in this town. From now on me and my men are in charge, this will continue until the 5 rebels are captured and turned over to us."

"I think it would be best for us to get out of here." Abel and the group turned and started off until they heard what the man said next. "Just so you know we aren't messing around, we're going to give you a little demenstration." Abel couldn't fight the urge to turn around, after he did though he wished he hadn't.

A young child, who couldn't have been more than 10, was being forced to his knees on an executioner's block. Abel watched in horror as the man who'd been talking, took the executioner's axe and raised it above his head. Oh god I have to do something.

Suddenly, Abel was looking the man dead in the eye. Since he'd been given his power to teleport, Abel had been having trouble controling it. It would happen at odd times, he'd suddenly be outside the waterways, then he'd be right back in. He'd thought he finally got the hang of it, but apparently he was wrong.

The big man looked just as shocked as Abel was, that quickly turned to anger though. "Who the hell are you?" Abel cringed, the mans breath smelled like straight horse manure. "I'm just a big fan. Wanted to see the execution in person, you know see how big tough barbarians use children as examples. Why don't you use me as one"

The big man smiled, "Have it your way runt. Free the small boy, and put this slightly bigger boy in his place."

"Yes, Sir Romph." The guards, who were all obviously barbarians as well, quickly grabed Abel and pushed his head down on the chopping block. Abel had a plan from the start, but as he watched the axe begin to rise he started to wish he hadn't. Please work, please work, please work, He grew more and more afraid as he could hear the wooshing of the axe.

He heard the sickening thud of the axe striking the block behind him as he reappeared in front of Sven who already had his axes drawn. The two guards who were holding him looked up, just as the big man brought both weapons forward, slaming into their faces, dropping them dead as could be.

"It's them, GET THEM!" before he even finished saying this, the group was surrounded. It was time for their first battle together......

"It's hopeless. The old coot must be gone already. Running for his life in fear of Grum." Sven huffed as he strolled next to Rika. They had agreed to split up into pairs for the sake of travelling further faster and covering more ground. They knew that if they were alone they were at risk but if they were paired then the former knights of camelot would have a much better chance of surviving things.

"This guy is supposed to be stronger than merlin right? Right, so he can't be afraid of anyone, including Dumb Glum." She said smiling and patting him on the back. "Don't lose hope, he is just hiding really well. I bet he'll reveal himself to us when We deem himself worthy."

He nodded after a moments thought and scratched the back of his head through the thick blonde locks with his large strong hands. "Yeah, You are right. Come on lets get back to the meeting spot. Maybe one of the other pairs found him." And with that they headed back into the center of town, into a scene.

There were people screaming and crying. Sven's eyes narrowed. What the hell was going on here. Abel, Scarlet, and the others were already there. The barbarian put his hands on his axe's but Rika put her hand on his forarm halting his actions for now. "Wait. It may not be necessary." He looked at her with an eyebrow raised. "Not necessary? They are going to kill a young bo-" and it was cut off by Abel disappearing and reappearing up on the executioners block. "You've GOT to be kidding me."

He turned his head to look at her and frowned. "Now is it necessary?" He said as he heard their leader offer his life up for the boys. She didnt' look happy about it but she nodded. "Now it may be required." She preferred to heal people no matter who it was but if a death had to be dealt then it should be done in protecting the lives of others.

All the while their friend dissappeared narrowly before the axe struck the block and reappeared near us. "Get behind me "A" you're still weak." Romph sent his cronies over at that time and since I was at the head of the party I found it easy to introduce their Cranium's to his axe's. The barbarian of a knight's eyes widened. "All troups to me, regroup!" An amulet on Romph's chest glowed slightly as his voice seemed to be amplified over they entire city.

"I think we got a problem." M'Xyon muttered to the group in general as the sound of footsteps started to come toward the middle of the town from all directions. "To Arms!" Abel called as everyone joined Sven in battle readiness.

“…And we listen to Nature, who grants us serenity. Especially to those who come with humility. With the power of Gods, we face all odds and conquered our enemy”

It had been close to four hours of singing to most of the children of the town and yet Brimlith’s voice range true and clear and the children still seemed to be spellbound after such a long time. Songs of adventures and the like usually effects small children that way, which is another reason the older folk urged their kids to seek out the singing wizard. Brimlith was the remedy to the parents headaches caused by overactive children and Brim loved kids so it was a win-win situation.

“Forward we march t’wards our dawn, with sword in hand and love in our hearts we carry on. Regardless of how hard it se-..”

“Milord Illedilon, Milord!” Brimlith jumped so violently at being called ‘Milord’ that he struck a sour note that in turn made the children snap out their trance.

A young woman came haltingly to a stop in the middle of the half circle of kids, Brimlith got up and caught her as she started to sway. He recognized her as Dallan’s sister, a lad who never missed Brimlith’s little concerts.

“Whats wrong Dillia?” Brimlith held her steady looking intently in her eyes coaxing her to be calm by pouring a steady stream of strength into her.

“Men of Grum’s army came and took Dallan, they said they were going to make an example out of him and then claim this town as their own. Milord he’s only ten years of age please save him”

“Stay here with the children, you’ll be safe here. Don’t worry about you’re brother, I will return him. As for those bull brained barbarians I will take care of them.” Brim picked up dirt from the ground then clasped his hands together.

“As earth meets sky grant me wings on which to fly, take from this location towards my destination”

Brim closed his eyes and sent thousands of tiny little mind treads in search of Dallan a second later he found him with his mind in panic. ‘I better hurry’ Brim flung the now blue shining dust in the air and it circled around him as he dissolved into a darker blue dust and then the substance shot off in the direction where a battle was unfolding.

After Brim had sneakily moved Dallan to a safer place he went back to the action. A few of Grums knights some conjured beast and…. the royal knights of Camelot?

‘No it cant be… I didn’t think it would be this soon, I wonder how they’ll fair.’ Brimlith stuck to the shadows ready if he should step in and not sure if he would need to. The villagers had all scurried away to their homes so that was less of a worry, thankfully because this would require his utmost attention.

Abel drew his blade as a pair of guards charged him, though he lacked size Abel was much quicker than them. He dodged as one swung a nasty looking mace his way, as he started to strike, however, the other swung his battle axe down straight at Abel's head.

"Son of a bitch" Abel started to spin, and narrowly avoided losing his whole arm. As he finished his spin he lunged with excalibur, finding a chink in the axe weilding barbarian's armor, just below the neck. He went down, howling in pain as his lifeblood pourd from his torn juggular.

Before Abel could launch another assault, the mace of the other barbarian was within inches of him. Suddenly the barbarian went down, hard. The mace stuck Abel, not with enough force to wound him, but enough to knock him down. He watched as the barbarian shook violently from what appeared to be electricity running over his body. Abel looked around to see where it could've been coming from, he noticed a young man in the shadows pointing at the barbarian.

"You'd better run him through Knight." Abel was shocked that he knew what they were. Not wasting anytime though, Abel drove his blade straight through the barbarians back. Stopping his tremors and ending his life.

After finishing the two off, Abel looked to his comrades, he gritted his teeth as he saw Rika drop another guard. She was quick, but oblivious to the fact that there was another behind her. Abel focused his energy, trying to find out what it was that gave him the ability to teleport, he felt himself start to phase out and as he was brought his sword in an arcing motion.

He came too just behind the guard, and just before he cut Rika down. Abel's blade easily cut through the chain mail armor the guard was wearing. Dropping him to the ground, suddenly Rika whirled around, blade heading for Abel's midsection.

"Whoa Whoa, easy it's me" Abel parry'd her attack and smiled "You owe me one", he turned and watched his fellow knights, looking for that young man who saved him just seconds before. "Could that be him? So young, how could he have been as old as Merlin?" Abel heard Sven's warcry from behind him, followed quickly by a sickening thud sound, indicating the big man dropped another guard.

Scarlet fought hard as any of the other men on the team, she had merely nodded to Able as he had asked her a question. The less she talked the less likely she was to be known as a women, Rika did not hide it but she was mostly a healer, it was an old belief that women should be healers but Scarlet was not. She concentrated and brought up two large pieces of rock on either side of a guard behind Able and smashed him between them with a sickening cry. She nodded to Able as he raised his sword, she frowned as his face changed, the full helm she had on obscuring her vision as he yelled out to her. She heard the strain of leather behind her and spun around ducking just as the large barbarians mace swung across her head. She gasped as she felt the helmet come off and drove her sword into the man's side making him howl in pain. She weaved in and out of the crowd to find her helmet, she picked it up and unslung her bow shooting the barbarian in front of Able, the arrow going through his neck and out the other side hitting on in the right eye. Bending over she grabbed her hair and stuffed it back into the full helm she had been wearing and looked up at Able who's eyes were wide.
'Please don't let him have seen...'
He teleported beside her and chuckled.
"Your have white hair too huh? That's pretty cool Scar."
She nodded as she breathed a huge sigh of relief. She would have to be more careful in the future.

?Hmm? Brimlith thought to himself. ?They?re not bad not that good ether. Lack of strategy, teamwork, proper communication, and battle tactics, and to top it of a completely oblivious leader? but they have drive? Hmm? He shifted his weight to his othe leg and leaned on the wall. ?They respond very well to sudden circumstances, These knights would be a joy to work with, too bad I can not help them.?

?Oh yes you can, and shall? Merlin?s voice rang crystal clear and startled Brimlith.

?Ahh.. The fragments of your will reside in them. So in a way you?re still here? Very smart Dear brother, very smart? Brimlith tried to maintain a calm voice.

?Flattery will get you no where, this back water town is not your place. You have done everything you could do for these people and more, if I dare say too much. The longer you stay the more cripple and dependant they will become. Camelot as a whole needs what you can give these knights. You must Brimlith, or eventually calamity will strike and if Camelot falls so does this town?. Could you live with such guilt??

Merlin?s spiritual presence evaporated from Brims mind. Brim was sure if it had stayed he still wouldn?t have been able to answer that question. Merlin was always talented at sending Brimlith on guilt trips, for right reasons, and good intentions yet it was still a cruel thing to do? or that?s what Brimlith thought.

The officer of Grum?s army began pouring his energy into some sort of crystal in the middle of his chest plate, ?It?s some sort of summoning relic? Brimlith raised his hands in the air and his staff drop out of sparkling lights of visible magic. ?Whatever he summons will be huge and a treat to the town?. I will not allow that? He broke out in a swift run, leaving the shadows he was observing in. He got on his knees with his back almost flat to the ground sliding out the way of a well aimed swipe from a solder. Brimlith, still sliding bent back and shot over his head at the solder, throwing him into a wall with Mage-Light. He jumped up and continue running towards the leader, as Brimlith neared him he jumped and drove his in the chest of the preoccupied Solider canceling his summoning and breaking the crystal.

The sound was so loud and piercing it made Abel cover his ears. As he looked for the source he saw at once what it must have been. A young man was standing in front of a soldier who was staggering backwards. Apparently the glowing crystal in his chest plate was a magical device. And whoever the young man was must've stopped it mid attack.

As the sound subsided, a frightened Romph looked upon the young man and called to his troops. "Its the damned wizard, retreat to the fortress!" All at once the remaining guards turned tail and bolted.

After sheathing their weapons and regrouping. The band of knights approached the young man who was leaning on his staff obviously pleased with himself. "It seems as though you need my assistance knights."

"The only thing we need is for you to help us find a wizard. He's supposed to be an old friend of merlin's, we're supposed to meet with him here." Abel couldn't help but be annoyed with the young mans knowledge of the group. They were supposed to be off the radar until they had to be.

"Well my young friend, you should show a little more respect. Merlin told me a little about you all. And you need my help, but before I will aid you, you must do something for me. The barbarian fort lies a half a days walk from here. I need you to help me remove them from the area. After that, I'll help you with your quest."

Abel had had enough, the insolent young man was obviously trying to get them to help rescure his town, and he would even try posing as a great mage.

"There's no way kid, seriously where is the REAL wizard."

Suddenly the young man thurst his staff at Abel. A white light emitted from it slamming Abel in the chest. Abel cringed as the man lifted him off the ground with the light. It ripped at his insides. As suddenly as it started, he was dropped to the ground holding his chest.

"You can believe my identity or not, but either way you're not getting any further in your quest until the barbarians are gone from this area. I'll be awaiting you on the east end of the villiage when you are ready."

Scar offered a hand to Abel who took it hesitantly. "Way to handle that one Abel"

Abel looked around at the group. "What do you guys want to do, follow the wizard or what?"

Scarlet nodded and pointed at Brim. Abel got the message clearly. He looked at the others and sighed as they all seemed to agree that following Brim was a good idea. Abel turned to Scarlet one more time and put his arm around her shoulders.
"You should be more careful next time I saw that brute take off your helm, that could have been close."
She nodded and pointed at the town inn indicating that she would like to rest before they headed out. He chuckled and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah I think we could all use some sprucing up. Lets get some food and washed up before we leave."
Scarlet sighed thankful and headed for the Inn, paying for her room she went up and locked the door. As soon as she was behind closed doors she stripped from her armor and sighed as her weight lightened.
"Thank god that's off for the moment. I hate that heavy stuff."
She didn't disguise her voice, the walls were thick and no one would hear and even if they did they would all assume "Scar" had a lady friend in the room with him. Stretching lazily she waked over to the bath that had been drawn for her and stripped, sinking into it she felt her body relax and the strains of her heavy armor melt away. She ducked her head under the water and washed her hair and froze as a knock resounded from her room door.
"Scar, I want to talk to you about this kid we've all agreed to follow. Can you come out?"
Giving a gruff affirmative she dried quickly and pulled back on the aired out armor, tying her helm strap on she answered the door and looked up at Abel.
"Jeez, you were that stuff all the time?"
She blinked and blushed glad she had the helm to hide her face as she took notice of his state of dress which was shirtless. She let him in shaking her head at his question and sat on her bed in a manly fashion ready to listen to what he was about to say, trying to stay focused on his words and not him.

After Brimlith had told the rest of the hiding villagers it was safe to return home he headed out to do the same. His cottage was on the east of the village the only wide space for incoming merchants and there carriages… or a small infantry. Brim felt extremely guilty about Grum’s solders making it in his village without him knowing.

“If I had been home I could have stop them then and there…. And even if I was not there I should have been able to sense them.” So many years living carefree had somewhat dulled his senses. Giving the current situation and his recent obligation he’ll have to strengthen those senses and train.

Brimlith sighed, “Maybe I was hard on the boy”, He chuckled. “And he called me a kid. Sometimes I forget I don’t look my age… thank the gods, other times I forget my age.” He groaned this time. “I guess it’s time for some materiality, which I’m way overdo-“

“That’s the spirit” Merlin’s face had appeared in the puddle Brimlith was side stepping. He kneeled down to get a closer look.

“So… I believe its safe to assume you’ve accept the task I gave you?”

“More or less…” Brim replied moodily with a pout.

Merlin’s watery face looked stern. “Brimlith it’s a yes or no, don’t be a brat”. Brim gave a dramatic gasp.

“Hold your tongue, you old goat.” He sat down cross legged and put is hand on the ground behind him as he tossed his hair back. Looking at the sky.

“You I’m joking, of course I have Merlin, But what a task it is. A dark-touched child, a hasty brute barbarian, a unstable loony, a Female knight living in fear and charades and a ill-fit leader. You couldn’t have given me better misfits if I had asked you to.”

“Well… you always liked challenges and who would be the better teacher to them than the king of misfits?”

Brimlith touched the puddle with his finger a it froze solid at the same time a gust blew leaves around him and then kicked up dirt forming a strange Merlin-like dust shape in front of him .

“If I didn’t think they weren’t capable I would have never endowed them with my power, and if I didn’t think you were capable in teaching them I wouldn’t have sent them to you. Please believe in them as I do in you, DawnLight. We will speak again. Walk in light my friend and be well.” The wind died and Merlin vanished.

Brimlith smiled evenly, in ancient tongue his name meant Dawn’s light… strangely Brim felt that was the best time to start the day. Brim got up and made the rest of his way home to prepare for the task at dawn. He would send a message to the knights in the morning.

Abel suddenly felt uncomfortable. He liked Scar, he seemed the most level headed of the bunch, but for some reason when he wore that damn helmet it felt as though he was staring directly at you while you talked to him.

"So what do you think about this Brimlith guy, do you think he's the real deal?" Abel asked, trying not to stare back at the man.

Scar never said much, he was always quick to the point and that was it, and as usual his response was the same way. "I think merlin trusted him"

"Well I suppose you're right, I don't know for some reason I don't feel like I'm ready to lead. To tell you the truth, the thought of it scares me." Though Abel was truly afraid to lead, he was usually too full of pride to let anyone know that. Scar was the only person he would ever say anything like that to.

"It'l come, just give it time. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we'll follow you. Arthur and Merlin both trusted you." There it was, short and too the point. There was also a lot of depth there, Abel saw how he was trying to compare the trust Abel received to the trust Brimlith got from Merlin.

Abel rose to his feet, "Thanks Scar, I needed to hear that. Be prepared first thing in the morning, I'm sure that's when the wizard will be contacting us."

Abel walked out of the room and ran smack into Tetra who looked to be heading to her room. Abel was hesitant the most around Tetra, he wasn't sure how to take the whole "Drinking blood to survive" thing. Though she was tough in battle, he always expected her to snap.

"Back in from a feeding?" Abel said, a little more aggressive than he had intended.

Tetra had apparently took offense to the comment, "No, I just came in from a little walk. If you must know, father." She stormed away. Abel considered going after her to apologize, but decided he didn't to confront her when she was mad, he'd just apologize in the morning.

Abel returned to his room and laid awake. He wouldn't get any sleep this night, he was too anxious, and afraid. He'd seen first hand how strong Grum was, he was there when Grum bested Arthur himself in a private sparing match the two had. Yes Arthur was older, but somehow that old man was able to call out power from excalibur that made him invincible in battle.

Grum was the first and only person to ever beat him, and abel saw it. How in the heck were they supposed to beat him? Especially when excalibur wouldn't do anything special for abel. It was just another sword when he wielded it.

Abel shut his eyes and tried to forget everything, he knew he wouldn't and would lie awake all night. But he was going to try.

Scarlett leaned against the door and sighed as he walked out.
"Thank god he's gone. I thought he was about to figure me out the way he was staring at me for the small time..."
She took off her helmet and stripped out of her armor and went to her bag under her bed. Pulling out a simple dress she slipped it on and went to the door, opening it she looked down the halls to make sure no one was out and about. Slipping out of her room she tip toed down the hall and jumped letting out a small gasp as Able looked out his door.
"Can I help you?"
She looked down not meeting his gaze and shook her head.
"N-No sir. I am sorry for disturbing you.I'll be on my way."
She ducked her head more and to avoid his eyes and tried to slide past him.
"Well, I didn't see you coming through her before, where did you come from?"
"Um-I..."
"Wait, I heard Scar's door open...I wonder if that was why he was so to the point..."
She blanched as he started for her room and called out to him.
"Abel wait!"
Clapping a hand over her mouth she looked at him as he turned slowly.
"How do you know my name?"
"I-I can't tell you that I'm sorry."
"Are you a spy?"
"No! I swear!"
She winced as he threw her into his room and slammed the door shut pushing her against the door holding her throat tight.
"You will tell me or I will take your life."
"I swear to you I'm not a spy!"
"Prove it!"
She looked down and than looked up at him her eyes stern and hard. A cold look swept over her face and the ground began to shake violently.
"Abel, I asked you to put me down. If you refuse I will make you."
He let her go quickly and took a step back."
"S-Scar?"
She looked down and bowed quickly.
"Forgive me Abel, I did not mean to hide anything from you."
"Your a woman?!"
She looked up at him not betraying any emotion though inside she was nervous and frightened. She looked at him waiting for him to send her away or question her further.

Abel couldn't speak. On one hand he felt betrayed, on the other he knew and understood the reason she did it. She would probably never have been allowed to be a part of the group if anyone had known. He motioned to the table in his room, and for her to sit down. He had so many questions that needed answers.

"Abel, please don't be mad you have to under..." Abel put his hand up cutting her off mid-sentence.

"Quit saying you're sorry. You don't have to be, and I'm not mad. Just a little mixed up." He could see in her eyes she was holding back, she was scared but just like the scar you never saw in battle. You would never have known it.

"I understand why you had to, and now the whole wearing your armor all the time thing makes sense." He chuckled to himself as he thought about the ruslting around he heard when he went to her room earlier. It must've been her scambling to put her armor on.

Suddenly there was knock on the door. "Abel, hey I need to talk to you, you up?" it was Sven. The knob started to turn and the door squeeked as he entered. "Damn, what do we tell hm?" The nerves were evident in her voice this time, she wasn't ready for everyone to find out just yet, and he wasn't about to ask her to reveal it to the others before she was ready.

"Just stay there, this is going to be fun." Sven entered the room and starred at Scar with wide eyes. "Sorry, I didn't realize you had...."company" Abel. I just wanted to talk to you about a few things, I'll just see you in the morning" Sven quickly turned around and shut the door behind him.

Abel looked at Scar, as their eyes met they both began to laugh. He couldn't help stare as she laughed. A female knight, the notion had come up in meetings, and Abel and Grum always laughed as they thought of big burly woman. But Scar, she was beautiful. He couldn't take his eyes off her, and then he began to feel awkward starring as he did.

"I should probably go though, we have a long day ahead." Scar got up from her seat and headed towards the door. "Scar wait" Abel stood and looked into her eyes. "You don't have to leave so soon." She blushed, Abel wondered if he should've spoke up like that, he was afraid he'd just make her angry. So he just stood their, waiting on her response.

Her cheeks felt warm and she knew she was blushing.
"Please, my name is actually Scarlet."
He nodded and looked around the room scratching the back of his neck.
"I would imagine you have questions for me?"
"Yeah I do, I don't understand one thing, women are supposed to be healers for the most part aren't they Scarlet?"
She looked up at him as he said her name and felt a small smile tug at her lips, she liked to sound of it coming from him. To hear her name for the first time from someone other than her family in many years made her happy.
"I guess, that's what I was always told. But Merlin I suppose thought I deserved something a little more powerful."
"I could see why, you fight like a man, no insult intended."
She shook her head letting her smiled slip through and show itself now with out worrying.
"It's fine, my father trained me to fight when I told him I wanted to be a knight. He told me that one day the Round table would see that women have the same amount of potential a man does and he said they would let me join for sure. Only when I went there as my true self, a women they laughed and sent me away. It was than that my father made my armor and the padding inside it as well to hide my womenly figure and make me look like a man. He told me not to speak unless I had to and when I did just to make it sound as deep as possible. The next time I went to join in as Scar and I made it, not to soon after I joined up with you and the others."
He nodded as he listened.
"So that's why your always so quiet."
She nodded as she sat down at the table in his room looking out the window.
"I sent my father a letter last month telling him of Merlin's gift and of you and the others. He said he is proud of me and hoped that one day I could take off all that silly armor and be my self."
She looked up at him smiling, he was leaning on the wall, his eyes closed listening to all she had to say. She looked him over and smiled. When he looked serious like that you would never believe that he was ever on to make mistakes. She studied him more and found her self looking at his face, the way his bangs fell into his face, framing it with white. It made him look handsome. She shook her head with surprise and looked down at her hands.
'Where did that come from? I can't think things like that, he is my superior. Its not right.'
She looked back up and him and felt an involuntary shiver run through her. His eyes were staring into her's and it made her feel nervous and, was it happy? She stood so suddenly that Abel blinked.
"I should go back to my room now, like I said before, long day tomorrow and who knows what we'll run into!"
She felt her cheeks get hot again and made to leave the room quickly when Able grabbed her arm. His hand was like fire to here skin and made her feel weak at the knees.
"I still want to talk to you more about this Scarlet."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm her scattering nerves.
"Alright, what else do you want to know?"
"You said your father taught you to fight correct?"
She nodded.
"If that's the case he had to be a knight, the fighting style you use is not a peasant style. It's the style that Aurthur him self used."
"My father at one time in his life had been a knight of the round table. He fell in love with my mother and was over joyed to hear that the king blessed their union. A year after they were married my mother thought she was going to loose my father, he had been badly wounded in a battle and the healers were not if he would pull through. After he woke up and was on the mend my mother told him of me, that she was with child. After that he resigned his seat to be a family man. I don't think he's ever regretted it his whole life. He taught me the code and what honor is and how to earn respect."
She was looking out the window now as the sun was setting across the field smiling, her eyes matching her smile shining with joy as she thought of her father.
"You mother had no objections to you being a knight?"
"Not at all, she loved the idea of her only daughter being a knight."
She let a small laugh slip through. It was the first time she had smiled in a long time and she sighed. It felt good to be herself. She stood slowly and stretched slowly. She looked over at Abel her smile still in place. She walked towards the door and stopped as she looked at him.
"Thanks, I'm actually glad some one knows now. Now I have some one to talk to."
Before she knew what she was doing the stepped forward and gave him a quick hug and a small kiss on the cheek. She opened his door and went to her own room making sure no one was looking she opened the door and slipped in. Locking the door she went over and sat on her bed, laying down she stared at the ceiling smiling for the longest time before sleep finally over took her.
