Who do you love?

I don't know why I wanted to do this thread- except it was in my head and wanted to come out during my shift tonight. So I held it in and waited for now to do it.

I guess it's obvious just tell who you love and why. And I guess you don't have to just state the obvious. Just I don't know... give it a shot?

Okay let's do the obvious first: I love my parents because they paid for me to come home with them. Actually that's a true statement because they adopted me- yeah, you see I was chosen... kinda.

I love my daughter because she loves me no matter what as long as I pay attention to her and buy her things once in a while. YEah she'd probably love me even if I didn't buy her that pink umbrella with the butterfly on it, but I wanted to.

I love my boyfriend- Lee because he tries his best to get along with my friends and he likes playing with Abby. Oh yeah and because he understands me.

Finally I love who ever decided that Ballet FLats were a do because I really can't walk in heels and you can't ALWAYS wear sneakers. I love my ballet flats- I have four pairs, gold, grey, black and dark purple patent leather.

So anyone else?

I love my friends and boyfriend. And most of my relatives.

Now, as for my parents...I'll think about that. (Same with my sister.) I know I sound like a turd for this, but you have no idea what those three put me through daily. Out of the three, I suppose I like my dad the most. But for the most part, I can't wait until I'm out of the house, though I know I shouldn't think like that.:animesigh

I love myself, writing, pleasure, spoken words, printed words on a page, or you could just go to my profile and check under "Interests" because those are pretty much the things I love.

Oh yes, and I also love my family, but only when they aren't turning the house into a DMZ with their incessant father son, mother daughter scream fests. And I'm infatuated with my church's Korean/German drummer, so guess I don't love them.

Oh wait, who, not what. Dang.

I really do love perhaps six of my friends. Their names, altered into elvish/nottheirealnameish rendition to cut down on their googleability are in order of randomness:

Bethanuviel,
Tomalanderiel,
Corrbyn,
Matthias,
Taurinevadelain,
Jonadavin

Hmm, for such a simple question it really makes you think about your life.

Well for starters, though I haven't spoken with my father in months due to a heated argument, I love both of my parents. (My mother would remind you of a younger version of the mom from Everybody Loves Raymond) So she makes it tough as well.

I have two sisters who I love dearly, though my older one is over a decade older than me and we don't talk save to discuss my niece and nephew's health/school.

I have a group of friends who I can say I love

And lastly (though not leastly) my fiancee Ronda who I love with all my heart.

NO ONE

...

J/K, :animesmil
But this is actually a complicated question... Actually beyond my family, I can't really think of any... And sometimes, I feel that I only love my family because it's been programmed into my head. Hmmmm.

I guess I care very much about many of my friends, but I can't say I love them. Yes I know there's a difference between platonic love and actual love, but since I can't exactly define the line between deep care and platonic love, I'm going to say that I don't love them. (Just because I've always assumed that love is something you just know. Right?)

And, I've never even come close to actually loving someone outside of family and friends... So I don't know what that feels like. :animedepr (In fact, I've never even dated someone before...)

So, back to my original statement: NO ONE except my family... sometimes

I tell my friends I love them in a purely I would never try anything except give you a hug kind of way. Which is probably about the same, but not directly how I feel for the residents at the senior living community I work at. Because my friends won't usually forget who I am the next time I see them- except for Becky but that's because I haven't seen her in like a year and we got into a huge fight back in March about who knows what.:animeswea

I never really stopped to think about the different types of love. Romantic love is great and right now I have that, but you can survive without it. But love from your family or close friends is something that you can't really get along with out. And of course both kinds can be reciprocated. It's nice to have both, but it's easy to get along without someone who loves you just because you make them tingle a little.

You're not fooling me, milady.

Hmm I love lots of people but a lot of it isn't the kind of love you get from a relationship. But if we have to list people...

My parents- Through all the bad times and the good, they've stuck by me and supported me 100%. My parents are my heroes, especially my Mom. No offense to my Dad, but when you are a military wife who has to deal with her husband being deployed several times while you're raising 3 kids, you will become some sort of strong. I hope I can be at least half as good at parenting as they are.

My friends- I know it sounds mushy, but I do really love my friends. From my friends locally to my friends I've met through online or through traveling, I do love them. They know I wouldn't try anything with them, but the love is still there. I wouldn't trade my friends for any others.

My girlfriend- Through all the drama that my ex put me through, it's nice to have someone that loves you unconcditionally. Who says your past isn't what shapes their opinion of you. Who says that you're their hero and proclaims it publicly. For the giant goofball she is, my girlfriend is the person I love more than most things. She's easily one of the reasons I take pleasure in life. I love talking to her on the phone, sending her little messages online, getting her things....it's just so fun to be with her.

My parents - As much as it pains me to admit. Though my mother can sometimes be a bit...er...unbearable at times, I really do love her. Plus, she's gotten better, now that she has a job she seems to like. And my dad...hoo boy. Ever since I was born, I've always been a daddy's girl. He spoils me to death, even at 18...it's gotten to the point where I feel bad asking him for things, seeing as how I'm in college and should really have a job. But, always have been a daddy's girl, always will be. :animesmil

My friends - I wouldn't be half the person I am today without them. From my best friend that I've known since she was in diapers [literally] to friends I've met maybe...this summer, I treasure them all very dearly. I cannot emphasize it enough.

God - I know I don't mention this a lot, but I am actually of faith. I love God and am very thankful for all that He has done for me, my friends, my family...I feel sad now, 'cause I don't really show it enough. But I am thankful that God has allowed me to befriend so many people, as well, given how hard it was to come out of homeschooling and into public school after so long. [Four years consecutive now, and counting!] I can't emphasize this one enough, either.

A certain someone - FGSFDSDSFARGEG let's not get into that. >////>;;; [though I wouldn't call it love. Just a crush/infatuation/liking that's gone on for WAY TOO LONG NOW, ahaha...*sigh*]

tl;dr - I LOVE NO ONE I HATE THE WORLD AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I know the feeling Paramount/Sangome, when it comes to one's parents. I love mine even though they were very restrictive over using the Internet, watching TV, etc. Because underneath all of that, they've always been there for me when it has really mattered. So having some differences of opinion is just par for the course and I'm fine with it.

I also really love my friends. ^_^ We've had our moments but we've all learned and grown so much just by being there for one another. I can't imagine my life without them.

I also feel the same way about God and religion. The secular side of it is far from perfect but the other side isn't. I don't really get into it a lot since that's very personal and I don't really care for having others attempt to argue me out of how I feel.

I hear you about the parents thing. My Mom? For shiz, the woman is amazing and hysterical and I hope I am just like her one day. She's not only my mom but also one of my best friends. My Dad... well, he's probably the family villain. I love my Dad because he's my Dad, but I hate his personality. I hate him as a person? Yeah. Something along those lines.

I love my friends. Absolutely 100% love them, some of them in a family way as well.

Any one else? Not so much xD

I'm a daddy's girl, too, Paramount! Always will be. So of course I love my dad. I look up to him, and go to him when things are wrong.

My mom... not so much. Her life resolves around her computer. My brother and I are nearly forgotten. =\ Oh well. Her loss.

I love my best friends, Kayla, Britney, Shaynee, Courtney, Veronica, and Natalie. They've been there for me when nobody else would even try to help me with anything, even if it's just homework.

My friends Ethan and Steve. Seriously. I love these guys. I know I can rely on them and trust them.

My boyfriend, Jesse. Eh. Boyfriend's not the word for it. Best guy friend with benefits. I've known him all my life (really, I have), and he's like my therapist when I need him.

My little brother, Tyler, because I'm so damn protective over him. Nobody touches my brother. >___> Only I can smack him around.

Heehee, so much love; it makes me happy.

I first and foremost love God for giving me life and happiness. The past few years have been extremely great. And thanks to Him, when things seemed to get rough, I didn't go and jump off a bridge. (I'm not going super Christian fundamentalist on you guys.)

I love my husband. So far he's brought nothing but pure ecstasy into my life. I'm extremely excited to spend the rest of my life with him and start a family with him as well. I can tell it's going to be great.

I love my parents just for being there. Without the witty remarks on almost everything from my father, or the reassuring maternal advice from my mother; I'd be a completely mess.

My puppy Coco Chanel (hehe). She's just so adorable and lights up my day, every day!

Those are just the immediate things I could think of off the top of my head. This post made me feel so warm inside!

I love my parents and most of my friends. I had just recently found out that I loved my Girlfriend. Parents and friends, I love, because they are there for me almost always. My girlfriend, mostly be cause she knows how to relax me when I get stressed or overly worried, and because she keeps me in line, heh.

I also love the Human race for providing me with and endless supply of revelations and entertainment.:p
