RPG Cross Struck: The Story

[Lunar]

[COLOR="Indigo"]The group turned and bolted towards the empty hall behind them. It looked like an escape. They were nearing it as they saw Eon, Cathrine, and Shanice on the other side.
"Turn!!!" John said. They ran down another hallway and were immediately stopped. The three leaned on the wall and caught their breath.
"Phew. Me thinks we lost them." Tetra said with a sigh.
Victoria got up and started walking around. "Phew. I'm tired. You know I-" Victoria stopped. "Hey guys, come check this out. This is so weird."
"What? Is it another Egyptian necklace?" John said with a smirk as he got up and walked to where Victoria was standing. Tetra followed.
"Wicked................." John whispered.
"They.........they............that's...guys.........I mean.........look, that's us." Victoria said.
"I know." Tetra gasped.
John touched the mural that hung in it's tattered frame on the wall. He read the words.
"Capia, Ryo, and Kassandra. These are the names of the warriors who are to save the world. Legend has it that these three were killed when fighting the mythical creature, Queen of the Darklords. It is said that the Queen of the Darklords' husband, Luthian was killed when engaged in a battle. She decided to release her anger on the three heroes. They all died in the process of fighting her. It is said that these three will be reincarnated as well as the Queen of the Darklords. They are to fight in the future, an epic battle that's going to determine the fate of the world."
John, Victoria and Tetra just stood there, their mouths wide open.
"Well, well. Looks as if someone find out who they really are."
The group turned around. Standing behind them was Eon, Cathrine, Shanice, and an army of mummies.

[Drizzt Do'urden]

The realization of who he was filled John with a new sense of purpose. He thought he'd be confused, afraid, feel like he had no control of his destiny when he looked upon that mural. But instead he felt like the man he always knew he would become, a hero.

Before he knew it, his staff appeared in his hand. He could feel the weight of the halberd attachment on his back, with the million memories that rushed into him he knew he hated to use it. Attaching the blade to his staff meant someone was to die, and that was the last thing John....Ryo wanted. He knew every life was precious, but hell this was an army of undead mummies, the darklord, and the biggest little ***** in his school, well second biggest after Victoria.

He unslung the blade and slowly screwed it on the end, eyeing up his enemies. There were around 10 mummies and the two big baddies. They were at a severe disadvantage, he'd just hoped the others realized who they were. He glanced over and saw both Tetra and Victoria had weapons in hand, they must've realized everything as well. Eon was staring directly at John, he knew at once why. As the many memories flooded back, John remembered it was his father that struck Luthian down and Eon had always targeted Ryo as being responsible.

"So you finally remember everything. This is fitting, among all these ancient artifacts of our past you will die." Eon smiled menacingly

"Don't worry boss, I'll take care of these three. They can't take me, their powers aren't fully awake yet." Catherine said with a cocky tone

"No, allow the soldiers to do it. You've already failed me enough when it comes to these three" Eon just glanced at catherine and the girl cringed. "Finish them off quickly boys"

The mummies started advancing, 4 came directly at John. Their speed was amazing for things that have been dead for centuries. Ryo's powers had began to awaken in John, however, and though he knew they were moving faster than most people could. They were no match for John. He stabbed forward, impaling the first mummy, John smiled as he saw how fast he was.

His smile quickly faded as the mummy he stabbed kept coming, apparently undead meant can't die that easily. He put his foot in the things chest, kicked himself into a backflip ripping the spear end from it, while in the air he loosed his grip and allowed the weapon to slide from his hands. At the last moment, he gripped the end and when he landed went into a spin. Severing the lead mummies head from its body with the axe like blade, dropping him dead to the ground.

The next two came at him at the same time, side by side. John was still in motion from the first encounter, he kept his spinning motion and drove his weapon into the side of the first. It made it about halfway through him before getting lodged. John reversed his stance, dropped his shoulder, and sent the second of the two head over heels overtop of him. He began a spin, using his leverage and newfound strength to spin the weapon, with the first mummy still attached, he brought it behind him and over his head. Slamming it down upon the mummy that went over his head.

The two collided with a splat, the weight of the mummy attached to his spear crushed the others head. John had the one that was still alive pinned, he walked over and smashed its head with his heel. The final mummy had veered from John and charged Victoria who was engaged in battle herself. She didn't see it coming up behind her. John couldn't make it in time, he remembered the ice wall he created in Eon's temple. If he could do that, he wondered if....John made a throwing motion with his hand. As if by magic, all the water vapor in the room seemed to swarm into a water spear, that quickly froze in flight into an ice spear. It impaled the mummy right in the skull, driving it past Victoria and Tetra, and straight into the wall.

John smiled, it seemed that the all powerful Eon could be beaten. He turned towards the two women, unfortunately fair play was not in their plan. As he turned, Catherine had already rushed him. And by the time he was turned around, she had made a ball of electricity and slammed him with it. The attack sent him into the air, slamming into a shelf of old antiques. The electricity surged through him, making his muscles twitch and causing him to cry out in pain. It subsided quickly though and he was back on his feet quicker than she anticipated. She saw him get up, stopped and squared off with him. He had a feeling, if the other two didn't finish with those mummies soon. Catherine would kill him.

"Heh heh. Look who's all alone now." Cathrine giggled. She had been waiting to fight the little punk who'd insulted her in class. She turned the other way and ran, though.

"Hey! Why are you running?! Coward!" Ryo shouted. Cathrine chuckled. She got to the water fountain on the other side of the room and smashed it open. Water began to spray all over Ryo, he was soon soaking. "HA! This will only make me stronger!" he mocked.

"Water conducts electricity, moron." Cathrine said with a twisted grin. Ryo's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Cathrine's body sent out an enormous electrical attack to Ryo. When it hit, he spasmed on the floor, crying out in agony. The pain was almost unbearable. Cathrine cackled at the sight of Ryo squirming. Then, she felt an odd numbness spread through her body. But then there was nothing but pain. She fell to the floor, screaming.

"Ryo?! Are you all right?!" Victoria (Capia) asked as she knelt next to her fallen comrade. [I]She attacked me?![/I] Cathrine thought as she lay on the ground. Her eyes swiveled to where Capia was previously. She saw a few slaughtered mummies. [I]Damn useless soldiers![/I] she thought as she glanced down at the center of her pain. She gasped. There was an enormous whole where her stomach used to be. Cathrine immediately fumbled toward her shoulder. She touched the butterfly and was healed. What would she do now?!

"Enough!!" Eon's eyes turned pitch black, and the threesome flew to the opposite wall. "That's it! I've had enough fooling around with you immputent twits! I killed you once, and I can easily do it again!" Her body was suddenly engolped in a blue aura, and the building began to shake.

Catherine laughed and ran out. *This won't be good.*

Eon slit her wrist and started spinning furiously, splattering the walls and floor all around her. The kids screamed as warm blood smeared there bodies. They tried to move, but were pinned to the wall.

She stopped and licked her wounds. Appearing infront of the warriors she smirked and kissed Ryo on the cheek. " Do you want to know the truth? Your father couldn't kill Luthian without paying the price. Where do you think you got your power from?"

Ryo looked confused as she looked into his eyes.

" In order to kill Luthian, your father had to bind his spirit in a living being. He chose you, he couldn't choose someone else's child, so he chose his own. He trapped Luthian's spirit into you while you were in the womb. You see?"

" Your lying!"

" Really?" She smiled and kissed him. " Veono wii lohown ki chio lheem."

A sharp pain shot through Ryo's head and he blacked out. His eyes shot open burning red, and he smirked. " Eon? What's with the clothes luv?"

" Oh, um...just working darling."

He looked down at his body and winced. "What is this disgusting body? It's hideous!"

Eon laughed, " Don't worry. I will get your body back...in time."

"Hmm...you know I love it when you take control, but I would really love to get down."

Eon rolled her eyers and waved her hand, causing "Ryo" to fall from the wall.
" Come love. We have more important things to tend to."

"Ryo" rose up and looked at the others stuck to the wall. " Who are these runts?"

" No one you should be concerned about."

He smiled and walked towards Eon. " My God! This body is so weak! We better be quick with my body. This skin is useless. Not to mention, Ryo will be waking soon."

"Your right, we must hurry." She grabbed his hand and created another portal.

"Ryo" grunted, " I can't stand being shorter than you! Vehono Rei!"

Eon laughed and turned towards the kids. "Bye" She smiled and snapped her fingers. The room entire room exploded as she disappeared through the portal.

[COLOR="Indigo"]Victoria and Tetra fell off the wall as they watched "Ryo" and Eon dissapear into the portal. It seemed as if John or "Ryo" went almost willingly.
"Stupid Eon. Who the heck does she think she is?! Making Ryo follow her like that. When I find her and those two little eyesore's, they'll pay!"
Tetra looked at Victoria, tears were streaming from her eyes. She took a deep breath and was about to say something smart when she realized that Victoria missed him. Tetra got up and helped her.
"V, um, I don't think that was John there."
Victoria frowned. "What do you mean? Did you not see him?!"
"No, I mean, I saw him, but it wasn't him. His voice was deeper, there was this intense evil in his eyes, and Eon called him 'Luthian.'"
Victoria's face looked sick. "Really. I'm gonna find her and kill her! She's made my life miserable, and she's gonna pay."
Victoria got up and ran towards the direction of the portal. Just as she got there it closed.
"Crap."
Her weapon appeared in her hand again and she was encircled by a dark green orb.
"Linno yutre ca-"
"Victoria, Tetra, you guys okay?!"
Victoria stopped and span around, it was Mr. Takashi.
The weapon and the orb vanished.
"Oh my goodness, I thought you were dead! After that explosion, well the rest of the class was outside and you guys and John were gone. I'm so glad you're safe, you guys' parents would have a heavy lawsuit for me....a-anyways, do you know where John is? Knowing him he probably sneaked off somewhere.........."
Tetra and Victoria put their heads down unsure whether to tell Mr. Takashi what really happened, considering the fact that he wouldn't understand it, or just make up a good lie.
Tetra sighed. "Yes, Mr. Takashi, John wasn't feeling well so he told us to tell you that he left early."
Tetra and Victoria looked at Mr. Takashi, his thin hand on his bearded face, hoping he would believe it.
"He did, eh?"
The girls took in a sharp breath, had he caught their lie?
"Well then, that's okay. He's one less thing to worry about. Come on, the police wanna talk to you."
The girls breathed out, they hadn't realized they were holding their breath.
They followed Mr. Takashi out to the parking lot that was now full of cops and news reporters.
"We're gonna be on the news!" Tetra said, trying but failing to make the situation less stressful.
They made their way through the reporters who hit them in the head with microphones and elbowed them in the shoulders to the single police officer standing under the oak tree.
The police officer took out his toothpick. "So these are the kids who were inside muesem, eh?"
Mr. Takashi nodded.
"I thought you said there was another, a young man?"
"Oh, no. He left early because he wasn't feeling well."
"Ok." The police officer nodded and gestured to his car. "Girls, I'm going to have to take you to the police department to question you. You're going to have to sit back there for a few minutes." he opened the door.
Tetra jumped into the backseat as Victoria grimaced and slid in. "Hope my mom doesn't see me, she's gonna be so mad."
Tetra smiled as they made their way to the police department, Mr. Takashi following and another car in front of them holding Shanice and Cathrine. This was going to be some moment.[/COLOR]

[Drizzt Do'urden]

It was like a dream. A very bad dream, Ryo saw everything through his own eyes. Heard the strange voice coming from his own mouth with his own ears, but yet it wasn't him. He couldn't control anything, what was worse is he knew why. His father...rather Ryo's father, had inprisoned this, this demon inside of him.

"Eon, how long has it been? How long have I been trapped in this body?" Luthian asked through John. "It has been far to long my love." Eon approached him.

John tried pulling away, he struggled, squirmed. Screamed, cried as she touched his face. He could feel it, though he still couldn't control anything. She slowly brought he mouth to his and kissed him deeply. He could feel her tongue exploring his mouth. It was sickening, he kept screaming pulling away. Finally she pulled away, and that damned voice flowed out of his mouth again.

"It seems as though Ryo doesn't care for you my love. He's been kicking and screaming this whole time." The two shared a deep sadistic laugh. Ryo and Luthian followed Eon through the temple. John recognized it as the same temple Eon had taken him and Victoria too just a day before.

They arrived at a room, it was one of the rooms that was an offshoot of the main hallway he and Victoria ahd ran through earlier. In the center of that room was a sarcophogi. It was the same one from the museum, apparently Eon had stolen it while her mummies were chasing the group through the museum. "Oh dear god no" John knew what was about to happen.

"Wait a second, I can talk" John put his hands over his mouth. He had regained control over his body, and Eon was none the wiser. She was busy rambling on about their love and things they used to do. John couldn't help feel for her, she had lost someone, he was inside him. But he had a feeling he wouldn't enjoy the " Extraction" process to much.

"Oh my love I cannot wait, let me go get the book and we'll get started." John wasn't sure what the book was, but he was glad Eon left. John turned to run away, but he couldn't. His body was sluggish, apparently Luthian wasn't ready to fully submit to John. He could've almost cried when Eon returned with a strange black book in her hands.

"Let us begin." She placed the book on a table, the table also contained a bunch of devious looking instruments. John didn't like how things looked. He could feel his strength returning, but what good would that do? There was no way he could beat Eon by himself....but maybe he'd be able to trap her in some ice long enough to give him time to get back to the portal.

The sarcophigus began to glow as she mumbled some words. John pointed his fingers and closed his eyes. Ice jetted from his fingers, freezing everything in the room in pure crystal. He turned and sprinted from the room, he didn't get but 20 ft when he heard the sound of shattering glass. Eon was free, and from the sounds of the scream he heard next she wasn't happn.

John followed the same path he and Victoria took the last time they ran from there. He exploded in the room that Victoria opened the portal, he was sure he remembered the words that Victoria spoke. He reached the spot where the portal was and thought hard. "Azu, pheno, linin, strato!" A small blue orb appeared. "All right...huh?" John noticed something red strike the arch way above the portal. He didn't even get a chance to scream, the explosion rocked him. throwing him into the stairs behind him.

He turned and looked, knowing what he'd see. Eon had blood trickling down her lip, she wiped it away with a grin. "Well well well, It appears you overcame Luthian quicker than I thought. I'm surprised you still managed to have some power."

John needed time, time to think, to come up with a plan. Just then, he had a thought. In the story, Ryo's father was ice, and the demon he battled was fire. If Luthian was that demon, and he was inside. Then....oh it just had to be right. John closed his eyes, there it was.

"Me and Luthian had a talk, it seems that he really likes the body he was given. And I really like the new power he gave me!" He threw his hands forward, a jet of flames hotter than anything he ever felt shot forward. Eon's eyes were wide as he'd ever seen someones apparently she didn't think about Luthian's power being fire based.

He heard her scream as the flames lept upon her, John knew she wouldn't be dead. Only hurt a bit, John couldn't help but stand there to see. As the flames and smoke cleared Eon was on one knee. She rose to her feet, not a burn in sight, but could tell it ahd hurt her. She smiled, bit her lip again. She wiped the blood onto her hand, "Oh damn"

John turned and lept towards the portal. Eon screamed as she swipped her wrist in Johns direction. He could feel the blood strike his foot as his fingers hit the portal. He could hear her scream, could feel the blood turn boiling hot and explode. He also felt the coolness of the portal as it enveloped him.

John appeared just outside of victoria's house, where they appeared at the same time. He rolled onto his back, and watched as the portal started to fade. He closed his eyes and prayed the portal would close completly before Eon got to him. Closing his eyes proved to be a bad idea, the pain, and fear of the wounds he received quicly faded as the darkness took him and he past out.

[COLOR="Indigo"]Victoria looked out her window at the building.
"Wow. Looks just like the ones on Cops."
"What'd you say?" Tetra asked?
Victoria opened her mouth to reply when the door opened.
"Here we are, ladies." He must've seen the scared look on the girls' faces, for he immediately followed it with "ah, no need to be scared. It's just a police station. You have no reason to be scared. I mean, obviously, two girls like you would never commit a crime or be involved with a group that steals and stuff, right?"
He glanced at Victoria as he said these last words.
They followed him into the interrogation room. "Alright ladies, two officers are going to come here and ask you a couple of questions. I'm gonna be gone for a while, but trust me, if anything happens, I'll be right there." he smiled and walked out the room.
"We're not freakin' kids, y'know. " she mumbled when he was out of earshot.
"You're mad, aren't you?" Tetra asked.
"Heck yeah, I'm mad! You know there gonna tell my parents and what about John?"
"You know what's strange? I would think you would be glad that he was gone."
Victoria glared at her. The door opened. It was a middle aged man. He sat down on the metal chair in front of them.
"Hello, ladies. I'm Officer Hobbes. I'm just going to ask you a few questions, okay?"
The girls nodded.
"So, I understand that you were inside the muesem when the bombing took place, right?"
They nodded again.
"Could you tell me who else was present."
"Yes, um, there was Eon, our counsler, us and John." Tetra said.
"And that was it?"
"Well, John............um, he left early. He said he had a migrane."
"Oh, okay." he jotted down some notes.
After about 5 minutes, he stopped.
"To tell you the truth, I don't believe you did it. Two young people like you couldn't plant a bomb in a museum. Man, today, there's so many stereotypes about teenagers. It's not the teenagers who do the bad stuff, it's the adults. You can believe me, I'm going to make sure everyone knows that the only adult who was there-Eon was her name? Knows that she did this."
"Wow. That was quick. I thought this was gonna be longer." Victoria said.
"No, really depends on the person questioning. As soon as I saw you guys-I mean, girls; I knew you were innocent."
"Thanks." Tetra said with a smile.
Officer Hobbes just nodded and walked out the room.
Victoria sighed. "Phew. I'm glad that's over."
"I think you spoke too soon."
Tetra pointed to the door. It opened and in entered a harsh looking man about 30 years old.
"Well looked what the wind rolled in." he said with a smirk. He continued standing, staring at the girls like they were insects that needed to be squished.
"Look, I'm going to make this simple, I ask questions and you answer them. That clear with you airheads?"
"Who you callin' airhead, you stupid-"
Tetra covered Victoria's mouth. She was obviously about to go into a torrent of cussing.
"You better watch your mouth, girl." he said.
"Now, I have know clue why I'm asking you this, but where were you when the muesum was bombed?"
He obviously didn't want an answer, it seemed to him that there was no need to since it was clear who did it. But he pursed his lips and listened.
"We were inside, sir." Tetra said, her eyes cast down.
He nodded and jotted down some notes. Okay, so who else was present when the bombing took place."
"Us, John, and Eon."
"Where is John?"
"He left 'cause he had a headache, okay?" Victoria said. She was getting impatient.
"Watch your tone. If you're such a genius, who set off the bomb?"
"Look, it wasn't me."Victoria said.
"You know what, I don't have time for this 'it wasn't me' crap. You either tell me that you did it, or get locked up."
"Heh. Looks like someone's taking his job a litttle bit too seriously." Victoria said as she stood up and walked towards him. "How 'bout this? Why don't you get over your fake commanding attitude and go somewhere where you're really needed, like maybe, Burger King as a dishwasher?"
"I've had enough." he said and pointed at Victoria. "You are to be taken into custody while your friend here gets treated at the hospital. You really pushed it, girl."
He turned around and called to two police men. "Take that one, the one with the black jacket into custody and get the other one into the hospital immediately. "
The men came and took Victoria, who didn't resist and then Officer Hobbes came and took Tetra to the hospital.
When she got to her cell, she sat down, angry at everyone-especially Shanice. She sat and doodled for an hour when the cell door opened again and in walked Shanice.[/COLOR]

Cathrine grinned as she left the police station. While she walked down the street, she remembered what had taken place a few mintes ago.

[I]"Okay. I need you two to tell me anything you can remember about the bombing." the police officer had said.

"Sir, can I tell you something outside?" Cathrine asked while eyeing Shanice.

"Umm...sure?" the cop had agreed. Once they were outside of the room, Cathrine made an astonishing accusation.

"It was Shanice, sir! I saw her set up the bomb! I tried to stop her, I really did! But I didn't want to touch the bomb! I was scared!" she cried out through fake tears. The cop's eyes widened.

"It's all right! Thank you for telling me! Anyone else?" he asked. Cathrine had thought for a moment. If the three heroes were in jail, they couldn't be killed. And that would displease Eon.

"No..." Cathrine sobbed.

"Look, you've had a busy day. Why don't you go home and come back tomorrow for an interrogation about this? We'll take care of Shanice."

"Okay..."[/I]

Cathrine chuckled as she thought about the easiness of it all. "Now I need to get to Master's base!" she muttered. She was soon at the house where Eon was. She opened the door and walked in. She made her way down to the basement. "MASTER?!?!" Cathrine gasped. Eon was hunched in front of a quickly shrinking portal. It disappeared in seconds.

"DAMN IT ALL!!!" shrieked Eon. She was bleeding and burned badly. But before Cathrine could do anything, she used a healing spell and was cleansed of her wounds.

"Master, are you all right?!"

"I'm fine now, but that boy got away!"

"...I bet I know where he went!" Cathrine snarled as she lead Eon out of the house.

[Tetra of sound]

Tetra talked to the officer while they were headed to the hospital.

"This is my tenth time going in two years, you know."
"Really?"
"Uh-huh. I tend to do a lot of stupid stunts... like trying to jump a teacher's car using my bike."

Tetra sensed Victoria's anger. She knew that with all these wounds, she couldn't do much.

"... You do know that when asked about John, I just went along with Victoria, right?"
"You did? Then what really happened?"
"Eon... kidnapped him..." Tetra was an expert at convincing people. She could make herself cry at will, she could even make herself faint. Speaking of which, that's exactly what she did. Officer Hobbes took her to the hospital a little faster when she did that.

She then reawakened on a hospital bed.

John coughed, spit up something, and rolled over. His legs felt like they were on fire, he looked down and low and behold they were. He acted quickly, and used his powers of ice to put them out quickly. He examined his legs to see if they were burned to bad. [I]"This crap is getting ridiculous."[/I] John thought, he went on thinking about how violated he felt. Having someone inside of him, why had Ryo's father done this to him. It wasnt' fair...

Suddenly John was grabbed from behind, he jerked away to see an emt stumbling backards. Apparently someone had saw him and called an ambulance. Thank god, his head was spinning, and the more he moved around. The more the blackness crept in on him, he felt as though he would pass out or vomit..probably both.

John walked with the emt into the back of the ambulance where he laid down on the stretcher while the paramedic checked him out. He smiled as he thought of how lucky he was, his smile quickly faded as he thought about how bold Eon had been. There could have been witnesses in the museum, but she obviously didn't care. Would she care to rush headlong into the hospital? Or worse, blow it and the people inside it to bits in order to sift John from the wreckage?

The paramedic gave him a sedative and he drifted off. He awoke as he was being wheeled into the hospital, as he passed by 1 room. He saw the familiar glow, a portal had been opened. The elevator ride was so long, especially knowing that Eon and probably Catherine as well were immerging any moment. A small spark of relief came when he passed the room that was next to his, Tetra was in the room with a police officer. He wasn't sure why there was a cop, but she was just the person who could help him.

As soon as the paramedic left, John lept up. He had to admit, it was nice being a reincarnated her. He healed so much faster than he ever would. He ran out, ran into the room where Tetra was. And before the cop could move his staff appeared in his hand, he spun and cracked the cop in the side of the head. He went down, out for the count. Tetra stared at him wide eyed. John grabbed her hand and they bolted. Halfway down the hallway they halted, Eon and Catherine stood smiling. "Haven't you realized I'll find you wherever you go Ryo?" John looked at them and then at Tetra. "Listen, go get Victoria. Hurry, I'll be at Eon's temple."

Tetra stared at him, not moving. Though she didn't say it, she was saying "Why would I leave you? Why are you giving up?" with her eyes.

John didn't give her a chance to say anything, "Long story short. I have a demon inside of me, she's going to take me back to her temple to "excersise" it and kill me. Get Victoria and stop her from doing that, neither one of us is at full power yet and we can't do this."

Tetra nodded, a tearful look in her eyes. She turned and ran, not looking back. John turned towards the two. "Let's do this." he lauched a missile of ice at Catherine and followed right behind it. She dodged easily, John flew in right behind it. Swung his staff and clocked her in the ribs. She went down, coughing. He caught her off guard, it was time to finish it. As he brought his staff above his head, he felt something wet and hot on his neck. He looked down, Eon had done the old exploding blood trick. Being so close she easily hit his vital corodid artery. If she detonated he was dead. He put his staff down, Catherine took the opportunity to punch him in the stomach as she got up.

As Eon snatched him by the collar, a portal appeared behind her. "It's time to go, I've waited to long for my love."

Eon grunted and threw John through the portal. He landed hard on the ground and sat up, his eyes widened as he looked around. Eon smiled and walked to the egde of the cliff.

"Do you remember this place? This is where you died. No temple this time. I thought it would be perfect for Luthian to come back where he left, and you died where you did sooo long ago." She smirkeed and dragged him to the edge, hanging him over the black water below. "There will be no friends to save you this time. I made sure to close the portal, and there's no way they know where you are. Hahaha!" She laughed evily and dropped him.

John screamed and quickly landed in the water. The liquid consumed him, and froze him to the bone. He tried desperately to reach the surface, but a strong hand grabbed his ankle, pulling him deeper into the depths. Fighting as hard as he could, John tried to break free, but the darkness overtook him.

When he awoke, his limbs were shackled down to a golden slab. The room was dimly lit with candles, and golden trinkets lay scattered about. Turning his head, a wrapped mummy lay next to him, a large dagger in it's hands.

"So you've awoken. I've been waiting."

"What the hell! Get way from me you crazy bitch!" Anger gleamed in his eyes, and he struggled uselessly to get free.

"Now now...there's no need to get angry. It'll all be over soon." She smiled and walked over to the mummy kissing its forhead, and taking the dagger. Grabbing a black book from a sarcophigus, she started reading. It was an ancient language, it sounded like a mix between Latin and Egyptian.

John screamed and starred horrified at what he saw. As she spoke, the spirit of Luthian was trying to escape, stretching and ripping john open from the inside out. Eon sliced a marking into Johns stomach and raised the dagger over her head. Screaming the ancient language, lightning erupted from the dagger, piercing the marking she had just carved. The spirit suddenly stopped, and the room went silent.

"Ready?" She laughed and lunged the dagger into his stomach. Blood splattered the walls as the spirit dove from John, into the mummy laying next to him. The mummy twitched and jumped up, ripping off its wrapping and throwing them to the liquid covered floor below. Luthian smiled, his body fullty intact, except for the large scar across his chest.

Eon took his hand and lead him to the next room. Turning back , she looked at John. " I'll be back to finish you off, but first..." A large smiled crossed her face as she passionatley kissed Luthian, slowly closing the door behind her.

[Tetra of sound]

Thanks to Tetra, Victoria was allowed to go home. Tetra had bought some things on the way. Victoria wasn't sure what it was for; she only saw the lis. It was full of exotic thingst:

When they got to Victoria's house, Tetra immediately hopped on the computer.

"When I saw what Cathrine did, I knew it was supernatural. I looked up healers on the internet when nobody was around at the hospital, and I got this. It's a spell to create up to two healers. I have the ingredients here, and the instructions are on the screen. We can only use them once a day, and overuse... I don't wanna think about it. Let's get started."

An hour later, they had finished. Victoria's was a scarab beetle and Tetra's was a hydra. "Remember, DON'T overuse the healer. Let's find John."

[Lunar]

[COLOR="Indigo"][B]~Facepalm. This is gonna be a long one.~[/B]

Victoria and Tetra walked briskly towards a hardly recognizable circle on the wall.
As the townfolk passed them, they gave the girls strange looks.
"Alright." Victoria said, her eyes darting back and forth. "You ready?"
Tetra sighed. "Yeah. Wait, before we go, let's make sure that we have our healers. We're going to have to make sure we have them if we're going to run into Eon again."
Victoria rolled her eyes and checked on upper arm. It was there. "Okay." Victoria stood in front of the spot, arms stretched out. She took another deep breath.
""Azu, pheno, linin, strato!" she yelled.
They waited. It didn't work.
"What the heck?!" Tetra said in frustration. "V, did you do it right?"
"Um.........I think so. Let's try again. "Azu, pheno, linin, strato!"
Nothing.
"Well this sucks." Victoria said as she started pacing around the alley.
"Why do you always pace when you think?" Tetra asked.
"Shut up. I'm thinking!" Victoria said.
"Azu, pheno, linin, strato." she whispered. "I can't believe it. Why didn't it work?!" Victoria whispered to herself. Then she stopped in her tracks.
"Luthian." she said.
"What?" Tetra got up and walked towards her.
"It's Luthian. I mean, it all makes sense, right? I mean, what other reasons wouldn't it work? If Luthian has been awaken, it means that something's changed!"
Tetra didn't understand, but she nodded."Okay, so what should we do?"
"Um..........uh lemme think."
"What about what Eon yelled to get that mummy army back at the muesum?"
Tetra asked.
"What was it?" Victoria said.
"Meock do reem. Shacra roe daringen mi tiak." as Tetra said these words, the portal opened and they could both feel it sucking them in.
"Whoa. It worked!!! Alright, ready?" Victoria asked.
"You bet!"
The girls jumped in.

Victoria smelled the wonderul smell of gathering dust. Something like the garage smell at her house. She had no reason why she loved it along with the smell of bleach and ajax.
She stood up and dusted her knees off while Tetra did the same.
"You see John anywhere?" Tetra asked.
Victoria looked around. "No. But.............." she saw an almost invisible door. "hey, there's something."
Victoria and Tetra walked towards it. They saw ancient pictures of dragons.
"Should-should we open it?" Tetra asked.
"Yeah................? I mean, how else are we going to find him?"
"Alright. But you open it."
Victoria pushed the door open and walked inside as Tetra followed her.
They emerged into a darker, dustier room. It was getting hard to breathe.
"You see him?" Tetra asked.
Victoria gasped as she pointed at the crippled figure in front of them that had a small pool of blood around it. She ran towards it. "Oh my God.................John?"
she said as she knelt beside him.
"What-what h-happened?" she said as she looked at the marking on his stomach.
"Eon did this, didn't she?" Tetra said.
John nodded. Apparently he was too hurt to speak.
"The healers!" Victoria said. "We can use them to heal John!"
"How are we gonna do that? The healers are on [I]us[/I], not him."
"Well..........maybe there's a possiblity that we can use it, I mean, if we can somehow take away his wound and have one of us have it, then maybe we can heal ourselves so it'll be gone."
"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" John said quietly. Any louder and he would've opened his wound more.
"Well I see he's not hurt that bad. If he was, he wouldn't be able to make those smart comments." Victoria said, trying to make the situation a little bit lighter.
Tetra however sat in deep thought.
"I think I can do it." she said.
"I hope you can. " Victoria said and moved out the way.

Tetra put her hand on John's stomach and closed her eyes.
"Naki, cotre, tiphen, estli." she whispered.
Tetra moved her hand and John's wound was gone. Victoria looked at Tetra's stomach. It now had the same wound.
Tetra, ignoring the pain touched her shoulder, and it was gone.
The three of them stood up, better than before.
"So, where'd Eon and Luthian go?" Victoria aksed John.
"That way." John said and pointed to another door on the left side.
"You wanna go in there?" Tetra asked.
"Heck yeah. We should go in there. I'm getting kinda tired with her dissapearing and whatnot." Victoria said.
"I'm going to pretend I understood all of that." John said with a smirk. Apparently, his spirit was returning quickly. "Anyway's, I'm not sure we should go in there."
"Why?" Victoria aksed. "I mean, the quicker we find her, the better, right?"
"Yeah, I know all that. It's just that she went in there with Luthian and-"
"Oh, no. Really?" Tetra asked with a look of disgust on her face.
"Yeah." John said as he nodded his head. "That and if her and Luthian found us, we might as well kiss our sweet butts goodbye 'cause there's no way that we could fight here without being breathless soon."
"Right." Victoria said. "So, what should we do?"
"Another portal?" John suggested.
"Heck yeah!" Victoria and Tetra said at the same time.

Victoria said the words once more and they appeared in an alley-way. They got up and started walking to the park, talking about what they should do next, not knowing that Eon and Luthian were close behind.

Cathrine was sprinting to the local park. Eon had just sent her a message saying "Cathrine, get your ass to the park and do it quickly!". While Cathrine was slightly pissed at the disrespect, she was happy to be called upon. She was a few feet away from the park entrance when she saw Ryo, Capia and Tetra coming from the back entrance.

"WHAT?!" Cathrine gasped. And then she felt a chill go up her spine. Cathrine squinted and saw Master Eon and Lord Luthian following the fools. "But! I-I thought Luthian was dead!" she whispered to herself. A smile broke across her face. "I guess I'll hae to impress him too!" Cathrine muttered as electricity spiraled around her.

[Drizzt Do'urden]

The trio hit the ground running as soon as they emmerged from the portal. They didn't seem to have any particular destination, they were just trying to get as far away from Eon and Luthian. "Stop!" John yelled at the others as he turned towards the noise, it was the familiar crackling of electricity. Victoria and Tetra both stood to either side of John, ready to fight as Catherine walked out from behind a tree.

"So the time has come?" John was sure Eon and Luthian wouldn't be far behind, so this had to go quick. As the word quick went through his mind a voice came up from behind them. "You bet the time has come. I've been waiting on this for awhile now." It was Shanice! Somehow Eon had gotten the word out of where we were and when we were going to be there.

John's staff appeared in his hand, "Listen guys, Victoria you take Shanice and make it quick. Tetra, you and me. Let's get this sucker punching punk." John was refering to the times she had blasted him just as he turned around, it wouldn't happen this time.

The three heros and two of the villians squared off. John smiled, losing Luthian may have taken his ability to control fire. But it made him feel stronger, lighter, whole.

[COLOR="Purple"]Victoria smirked as Shanice turned towards her.
"I guess this is it, eh?" Victoria said, her weapon appearing.
Shanice nodded. "I guess so." and pulled out her brass knuckles.
Victoria took a deep breath.
"Show me what ya got, punk." and ran towards her.
She fell back with extreme force and came up witrh a bloody nose.
"What the.....................?" Victoria said, her face frozen with shock.
Shanice smirked. "Oh, I guess you forgot, huh, Vicky? Remember, I'm with that lady over there."
She pointed to Eon, who was getting into a battle with John and Tetra.
"You see, I got powers now and you're screwed."
She revealed the mark on her hand.
Victoria gasped. "How................?"
"I just told you. So, you wanna quit now and avoid getting your butt beat in front of your friends or you just wanna try and fail?"
"Heh. Shanice, how many times do I have to tell you? Arrogance only gets you so far in life. And when you fall, you're going to fall hard."
Shanice cracked her knuckles. "Yeah, yeah. Do me a favor and stop telling me your boring sayings. You're wasting your breath. I don't believe any of that crap."

Victoria ran towards Shanice again and tried to wrap the chain around her neck. She suddenly felt a burning sensation in her fingers. She looked at them. They were burning. She let go of the chain and looked up to see Shanice engulfed in flames.
"I told you, Vicky. I'm unbeatable. You should quit now, that is, if you want to live."
"Heh. You wish."
Victoria stood still, her legs shoulder length apart and thought.
*How the heck am I going to beat her? My chain's gone, so I'm weaponless. I wish I had some magic*
All of a sudden, Victoria's eyes turned a bright blue as a violet orb appeared in her hands.
"Heheh. You're screwed now, sucker."
She raised her hands and a burst of electricity spewed out, onto Shanice. It didn't seem like it hurt her.
"I told you, stop trying. You're wasting your time."
Shanice then spewed out a row of fire from her fingers. Victoria fell.
Shanice walked over to her and stomped on her chest.
"Heh. I guess this is what I like to call 'payback' huh?"
Victoria didn't say anything. Everything was going dark. She opened her eyes again to see her friends fighting.
*What am I doing here? They're fighting their hearts out and I'm surrendering like [I]this[/I]? No way. I'm not going out like this!*
Victoria's eyes once again turned that bright blue. She chuckled as she spewed a flow of electricity into Shanice's shocked face.
Shanice flew back. Victoria walked towards her and frowned as she noticed that she was smoking.
The mark on her hand dissapeared.
".......thanks, Victoria. I knew you would save me from this curse somehow." Shanice passed out.
Victoria, with a look of triumph turned to her friends.
"One down, three to go."
She joined her friends.

[Tetra of sound]

Tetra prepared herself, pulling one arm back. "Fierra Dracoa Megaris!" She then extended the arm forward. A huge burst of flames as hot as the sun shot towards Cathrine. Somehow Cathrine managed to dodge it.

"I call upon the goddess of the wild and the moon, Artemis... Change day to night!!!" The sky grew dark, and the moon rose. "Lunari Freon Arctica!!!" A shot of cold air, approximately -245 degrees F, shot towards Cathrine and froze her solid. It was cold enough to instantly kill any human on contact.

[Drizzt Do'urden]

The ground shook with, a distinct crackling noise filled the air. It quickly grew to a noise you could almost feel throughout your body. "Tetra get down!" She didn't hear him, the ice ball that was Catherine exploded, launching razor sharp ice shards in all directions.

Luckily John acted when he felt the electricity emiting from the ice. He quickly formed an ice shield around Tetra. Ice knives pounded away, leaving the shield worthless. "You idiot, the boss didn't give me weak ass powers like she did that wuss Shanice. I'm the real deal." Her hands began to glow, any second bolts of electricity would cook Tetra. Fortunately John had started moving as soon as the ice exploded.

As the glowing palms made a hissing noise, the electricity ready to pounce, John tapped Catherine on the shoulder from behind with his staff. "Huh?" Was the only thing she got out as she turned her head, that was met with Johns staff full force. She tumbled through the air and crashed on the ground at Eon's feet. "Pick up your friend Eon" John unstrapped the blade from his back and quickly attached it to his staff, it was time to end this.

Eon just stared at John, no evil smile, no look of fear, nothing. "Oh my god boss you got hit!" Catherine was the one to break the silence, Eon had taken one of the ice shards in the side. Blood was pouring out from the wound, she was apparently trying to heal it. "I don't think so!" Victoria cried out as she rushed towards Eon. As she neard her, a wall of flame lept up in between the rushing hero and the wounded villian. "Not very heroic. Attacking a helpless foe like that young one." It was Luthian's voice, he had apparently recovered much of his lost power. "This won't be settled here, you..."heros"," he scoffed when he used the word, "are more than welcome to step through this portal and finish this fight where it started."

John put the flames out with his ice, trying to cut a path for Victoria to get to Eon while she was down. Instead, all that remained was a red glowing portal. In side was where they would face their destiny, the only question was....Were they ready?

The three heroes jumped into the portal. They were thrown into a damp room with a cobblestone floor coated in dust. Before them was an enormous wooden door. They gulped and walked toward it. "I bet Eon and Luthian are behind this door." Capia whispered.

"Yeah." answered Ryo. Tetra nodded. Nobody wanted to open the door though. After staring at the door for what seemed like hours, Tetra stepped forward.

"I'll open it." she murmured. She pushed on the thick door and entered, Capia and Ryo trailing behind her quickly. Tetra stepped into the other room and- ZZZAAAPPP!!! "W-wha?" Tetra gasped. She fell to the floor. Her chest had an impossibly large hole in it that was bleeding a waterfall of blood.

"YES! I finally killed that bitch!" Cathrine shrieked. Ryo and Capia stared at their quickly dying friend in horror.

"Tetra!" Ryo shouted.

"NO!!!" screamed Capia. The two heroes cried as their ears were filled with the sound of Cathrine's mocking laughter. But then everybody looked down at Tetra. She was moving, if only a bit. She raised her hand up toward Cathrine and spoke something inaudible.

"GYAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" Cathrine screamed in agony as her torso ripped apart. As her mutilated body lay on the floor in front of Eon and Luthian's feet, she reached up to touch her butterfly tattoo. But it was too late. She and Tetra both passed.

"Hmm...what a pitiful servant you hired, my dear." Luthian muttered.

"Indeed...but she was somewhat useful while she lasted." Eon replied lazily.

[Drizzt Do'urden]

John could barley see through the tears....Tetra had been his best friend since as long as he could remember. In fact much longer, for some reason the memory of the mural in Eon's temple dipicting this same battle came to mind. It was the battle that waged long ago; Tetra, Victoria, and John battling Eon. It was supposed to be all three of them.

John looked to Victoria who was bawling just like he was. This was apparently her first [I]real[/I] experience with death, as it was his. "Capia....are you ready?" Capia? Why did he call her that? Sure they were the reincarnations but he didn't have to....suddenly something came to John. He raised his staff high over his head and slammed it to the ground. The earth itself shook with raw power, it lasted but a second, and as quick as it came it went leaving behind John...well Ryo. John's clothes were different, they resembled the armor he wore in the painting.

Victoria followed suit, in the same trance like state John was in, she swung her chain through the air; it cut through the wind, causing small shockwaves that sounded like screams. She slammed her chain into the ground, sending up waves of sparks and dust. As the dust settle, Victoria...rather Capia stood. Victoria was now dressed as Capia was during that long ago battle.

John looked to Tetra....to Capia....Catherine....and then to Luthian. "Catherine was a person, probably a good person before you warped her Eon! I promise you, you will pay for your Ill words of the dead.!" John took a step forward, suddenly the room they were in shook violently. The walls themselves crumbled, the ceiling flew off like they were in the middle of a tornado. The floors warped and stretched, in small areas large spikes jutted three to four feet out of the ground. Suddenly and explosion rocked the room, pits of fire ripped through the ground leaving huge holes, leading down tunnels that went on forever, jets of flame shot out periodically.

The walls were literally covered in spikes from floor to ceiling...well what was now the ceiling. The night sky shone, a starless night with nothing but an ominous full moon floating high. John looked around, their foes spread out. Beckoning John and Victoria to split up, come at them one on one. They stood, staring each other down, John re attached his halbred. He would have to resort to a killing blow he was sure, neither foe would just give up, this was to the death.

"You pitiful fools, you could not defeat me alone. How do you expect to defeat me and my husband? Its impossible, but if we must. Come Capia, come Ryo lets make you dead for good."

John had enough, "That's Enough!" He screamed so loud, the jets of flames themselves that filled the room with small explosions seemed to quiet. "You may have killed Ryo and Capia before, but we are not them. I am John, and this is Victoria. You will remember those names, because we will not suffer the same fate. This time it will be you two who die." John lowered his head and tore off towards Luthian, he was sure that Luthian lacked magical skills like he did. But just like John did, Luthian was probably an excellent warrior.

Luthian laughed and pulled two katanas from his back." Ooh feisty. This will be fun." Jumping into the air, he raised his swords over his head, and immeidiatly swung them into the ground, creating two walls of fire that crashed through the wall. John's path would be a grueling one. "Come and get me baby."

Eon smirked and created a large ball of energy in her hand. "Bye-bye..."

Victoria burst through the wall as the energy blasted her stomach. She grunted and shakely stood up.

Eon was laughing hard now, her eyes gleaming gold. She smiled sweetly and raised her arms. The room began to shake, then the walls broke down and flew in to the red, spiraling sky above them. The sky suddenly turned a pitch black and lightning instantaneously pounded the air and ground. She looked behind her as the ground broke into the dark sea.

"Luthian, quit playing! Kill him now!" She snarled at Victoria and dove into the mercy waters below. The sky suddenly turned to normal and all was quiet...At that moment, a gargantuan wave arose from the bottom of the cliff and splashed onto the heros. Everyone looked towards the cliff, as a large bluue, dragion-like creature sprung forth from the sea.

[Lunar]

[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]"Oh....................................crap." Capia whispered, the slight quiver to her voice still. Sure, she wanted to break down and cry, but if she did, Eon would surely kill her. Tetra was dead. It didn't even sound right to her. Dead? DEAD?! She looked back at the body, that was already pale. Then she looked at Cathrine's mutilated body one and looked back up to the cliff. She looked at her stomach to see that a large bruise was forming. She went up to touch her healing tattoo but remembered the warning Tetra told her.
"We can't use it more than once per day. So we had better be careful...."
Capia smiled as she thought of the moments she and Tetra had shared in the past years and these present ones. And now............this.
Capia took a deep breath. "This is for you, Tetra."

She shakely stood up, chain in hand and swung it around faster and faster, suddenly so fast that Capia couldn't belive she herself was doing it.
"You can do it, Capia. I believe in you."
"Tetra..............................?" Capia said to herself. She was puzzled for a little, still swinging the chain around and then, it finally came to her. She looked back at Tetra's body.
"Of course! That's why it's so pale!" Capia said to herself. Tetra's spirit was interwined with hers, that was why she was so strong.
She suddenly swung the chain faster, knowing that Tetra was gone in body, but her spirit had never left them.
She smirked.
"Show me what you got, Eon. I'm ready for ya. And Ryo, hurry up with Luthian. I can't beat her by myself."[/COLOR]

[Drizzt Do'urden]

"Hurry up and beat Luthian!" Yeah right that was going to be easier said than done. John came up on him, but Luthian was not going to let John strike first. Both blades slashed down hard, John met them with his halberd easily parrying. That's when the wave hit, it knocked John back away from Luthian.

John glanced up in awe at the huge beast perched high upon the cliff, it didn't seem real. Almost as if, it wasn't real but merely an omen. John realized the folly of worrying about something that wasn't an enemy...yet as Luthian slammed into him. John rolled up, searing pain lept from his shoulder. Glancing down, it seemed a spike on Luthian's armor dug deep into John's arm.

"You bastard!" John called as he charged Luthian again, blade met blade as John swung for Luthian's head. Luthian slashed low with his other katana, John lept over spinning the weapon over his head and down at Luthian. The more experienced warrior parried easily, slashing at John from the side. John, however, was given all of Ryo's previous battle experience, and luckily for him it was extensive.

John kicked up, knocking the blade off course. He used the staff as a pivot point and swung himself around it landing with a foot straight into Luthian's chest. Luthian got his balance, and looked up just as John released a ball of pure cold.

John smiled as he watched his attack close in on Luthian, who simply smiled back. "You want to play with fire eh kid? Watch out you don't get burned!" Luthian laughed as a wall of flame burst forth from him, destroying John's attack easily. John dodged the flame and charged again, as he neared Luthian he slammed his halberd into the ground, pole vaulting himself over Luthian.

John landed, kicked backwards and knocked Luthian off his feet. John didn't give him a chance to move, he thrusted his blade straight towards Luthian, the killing blow. It was going to be over, suddenly however Luthian blasted forth a jet of flame, straight into John's face. John reeled back, screaming at the top of his lungs. Luthian had managed to blind him, hopefully not permanentally. John formed a huge wall of ice around himself, praying the pain and the blindness would go away before Luthian killed him.

[COLOR="Blue"][COLOR="Purple"]Victoria was worried when she heard John scream in pain. But what could she do? She looked up at the creature above her. She should go help John, but Eon couldn't be trusted at all. Victoria hoped John wasn't hurt too badly. Beating Eon was going to be hard enough, and Luthian was probably going to be equally hard or maybe harder. She took a deep breath and threw her chain like at the creature and followed up with a violet orb that burst with electricity. The two attacks hit the creature.
"Yes!" Victoria said as she saw a dark spot appear on the creature's scales.
Her smile faded as she heard the creature chuckle darkly.
"Is this a joke? You think that an attack that small is enough to even scathe me? What kind of world do you live in?!"
"Crap........." Victoria said. "Man, I hope John would hurry up. I know it's hard, but I really need his help now."
She glanced back only to see Luthian's back. Victoria formed an orb larger than before and launched her attack. It hit the creature once more.
"Heh. Is that the best you can do? Come up here, foolish girl, surely, you are not afraid of attacking me up close right?"
Victoria cringed. Although she was there, she was scared out of her guts right now. But she knew there was no time for fear and that fear would only lead to her death. She ran up the hill, ignoring the burning in her thighs. She didn't look back as she heard the sound of shattering glass. She formed another orb.[/COLOR][/COLOR]

Luthian laughed and jumped off the cliff. Suddenly, a burst of flame exploded into the air and a large dragon flew into the air. It seemed to smirk as it it landed on the edge of the cliff. In a deep voice it said, " If you want to get to her, you'll have to go through me first." It laughed and inhailed deeply. Upon exhalation, a large stream of fire potruded from it's throat.
