On my challenge, by the ancient laws of combat we've met here on this chosen ground.

EXT. RURAL FARMLAND - DAWN

The distant rolling hills jump off of the earth like the backs of giants. Farther out snow covered peaks stab the sky and the blood red morning sun runs down into the fields, bathing the swaying wheat in golden umber. A shoddy, run down farm house sits propped up in the middle of the field. The wooden shutters shake and the old boards creak as the light wind passes by. The old screen door nearly breaks off of its hinges as the elderly farmer swings it open and steps out onto the porch. A beagle (looking to be as old as the screen door) ambles out behind him. The farmer sips on his morning coffee, letting his bones settle down in the rocking chair on the porch. The beagle begins to lay down but his joints seem to give out half way through. He collapses with his head on the farmer's mud crusted boots. This'll do.

"This'll be a good morning," the farmer says to his dog.

Suddenly there is a thunderous BOOM in the distance. The farmer rises to his feet as quickly as he's able and steps off of his porch. A bright light flashes in the sky. An unidentifiable object speeds towards the earth. A tail of fire and smoke consume it and the sky. It's on a collision course for the farmland. Not but a moment passes before the object barrels down and impacts the wheat field not but 50 yards from the farmer's house. Fire quickly spreads and only seconds later the fields as far as the eye can see are consumed in flames. A cloud of black smoke takes over the land. The farmer is bewildered. He coughs and hacks, waving his hand in front of his face to clear the air. He can't see but two feet in front of him. He covers his eyes from the brightly glowing flames but between flickers he notices a shadow. A siloquette of a man walks through the towering inferno.

"Who goes there?!" The farmer yells.

There is no reply. The shadow moves closer.

"Do you know what happened? Who goes there?!"

The farmer shakes his head and rushes into his house. He returns a moment later with a rifle and a box of shells. He flips open the shaft and rests the rifle in the crook of his arm, loading shells into the barrel. His flips it closed and cocks the firearm. He points it out in front of him. His old dog retreats back inside. He wants no part of this.

"Now I said, 'who goes there?'. I won't ask it again. I'll have to fire on you. Just answer me!"

The farmer pauses a moment and then fires a shot. The shadow haults... for but a moment and then continues walking towards the old man. The farmer then hears something strange; what sounds like the hum of an electric generator growing ever closer. The farmer takes a steps back, then another, and another until his stands up against the side of his house. He seems to have been almost pushed there, as if against his will. The man seems to almost be in pain as the hum grows louder and louder until the shadow is before him. Katakidoushi, Saiya-Jin Elite towers over the farmer, whom is petrified. Kataki opens his white glove and reveals the mangled remains of the bullet the farmer fired at him. The farmer falls to the floor of his porch and the rifle goes off again. This time the shell evaporates into a cloud of dust before it even reaches Kataki. He smirks. Kataki reaches back and throws the bullet he holds in his hand straight at the farmer's chest. It pierces through the hand that clutches his heart, and bursts out of hisback, splintering the wood of the porch floor. The man gasps, and he is gone. The beagle makes a break out of the screen door and begins a mad dash into the distance. Kataki raises his arm and a small Ki blast forms in his palm, but something distracts him: a dull beeping in the distance. He pays no more head to the beast and lets the dog escape. Kataki levetates off of the ground and with a burst of energy that blows away the farm house he flies across the burning fields. The gust from his speed blows out some of the flames which are beginning to die down. He reaches his pod, which collided into Earth. The pod door is open and his scouter is blinking. He fits it onto his ear and adjusts it over his eye. A wide smile creeps across his face.

"Challenge," he mutters.

He bursts off of the ground and rises above the veil of thick, black smoke. The sun has risen above the mountains and is now more golden than red.

His challenger is still far away, but moving in his direction. The scouter hasn't quite pinpointed his location yet, but his pace is quickening. Where is the challenger?

Hidoshi could feel the presence even before he saw the object plummet to the earth. Though he couldn't tell the extent, it was obvious the presence was evil.
He'd been making his way through the forest of his hidden leaf home, leaping from tree to tree, only a blur to everything who looked upon him.

Hidoshi could feel a distant cry, muffled by death. The visitor was quick, the farmhouse was close by, but to have the arrogance to exterminate a simple farmer not a minute after landing. "Finally, it has been a long time since I've felt a force like this." He mumbles to himself.

He sees an object levitating above the smoldering remains of what must have been the beings space craft. Not needing a second look, Hidoshi knows at once this is his opponent.

He pauses on a nearby ridge, still too far away to get a good look at his enemy. But enough to scan the area, the remains of the farmhouse are visible to the left. To the right, the ground had been ripped up into a large mound from the impact of the space craft. What lie behind the shadowy figure was cast under the veil of smoke raising from the fields.

Hidoshi closed his eyes and made a sign with his fingers, this special ninjitsu would give him the ability to levitate, without using much of his chawkra, for this battle he'd need it. He slowly made his way, floating on an invisible cloud of pure energy, toward his opponent.

As his opponent was unveiled by the ever increasing light of day, Hidoshi paused for a moment. Though he'd seen many warriors who were larger than him, but were still mere childsplay, this was not one of these. This, man from another world was the real thing. His side intimidated Hidoshi for a moment, though he dared not show it. He couldn't help but look forward to the upcoming struggle.

As he flew to what he deemed was about 40 yards from the man he stoped and locked eyes. The cold, dead eyes of his opponent sent shivers up his spine; he was here for one thing, and one thing alone...DEATH.

Hidoshi dropped down into a ready stance, the word "challenge" came to mind.

"If we are going to do this. Let it be you who strikes first!"

Katakidoushi's foreboding smile stretches across his grimicing face.

"This will do," he says under his breath.

Meanwhile across the field sweat begins to bead down Hidoshi's face.

"Is it getting warmer?" he thinks to himself. "We're too far up from the fire, that can't be it."

Kataki's eyes glaze over and glow white like beacons. His muscles tighten and the veins in his arms swell, sending blood coursing through them. His aura pulses like a heart beat and begins to swell. He clenches his fists and throws his arms to his sides. In a display of his power Kataki unleashes a hellish scream which pierces through the morning breeze. Kataki's throws his head back and his aura bursts with the strength of a hurricane wind, dousing the fires and stripping the land of any weed or root that remained. Dirt and rock are scattered miles into the distance; this is no longer a farmland, it is a batllefield.
Kataki breathes heavily as he regains some composure, his eyes focusing back on his opponent. Hidoshi smiles slightly. Whether its out of humour or fear is not clear. Is he unimpressed with his opponents display? Or is a smile the only reaction he could muster up? Whatever the reason Kataki is not pleased by this reaction. But instead of exploding in a fit of rage, Kataki begins to laugh.

"And what have you brought to the table... human?"

"I was taught many years ago that if you're all show you are no go. But I suppose I could amp up a little bit."

Hidoshi closed his eyes, he felt the demon chakra try to leap out. But years of practice had prepared him for this, he forced it back down channeling it slowly throughout his body.

Though he couldn't see him, he imagined the smirk on his opponents face. Hidoshi opened his eyes, brought his hands to his chest in the form of a diamond and he began to groan as he summoned the nine-tails forward. He risked a glance up at Kataki's face who seemed bewildered at the lack of anything he could see.

As if to answer that look clouds in the clear blue sky began swirling around above Hidoshi. In a matter of seconds the sky was blackened by the clouds, as if a Lunar eclipse plunged the land into the blackness of midnight.

"I hope you're ready!" Hidoshi's eyes glew blood red, the same blood red color the creature inside him possessed. Hidoshi couldn't fight back, and a scream of almost a pure mix of pain and ectasy broke his lips. A gust of wind, powerful enough to shatter mountains came forwarth from the fighter. The clouds that had formed were immediateally changed from water vapor to rain with the changing pressure.

As the quick downpour subsided Hidoshi noticed that smirk again on Kataki's face.

"Hope he likes what he saw" Hidoshi dropped back down into his ready stance. Though he didn't psyically change appearance, Kataki was in for a treat. Size didn't matter at all, and Hidoshi was going to prove it.

"Enough of these games... human."

"I agree, let us begin!" Hidoshi snaps back.

"So you're ready to die then? Very well." Kataki tightens his fists.

He leaps forward in a burst of speed, closing the gap between he and his opponent. Then something strange... Kataki begins to almost appear and reappear in the sky before Hidoshi, everytime appearing closer and closer. Before Hidoshi even knows what happened Kataki is behind him. Kataki unleashes the Kiai Dageki, a brutal ten hit combination of attacks. Hidoshi hasn't a moment to think let alone defend himself as he is baraged again and again. Kataki raises up over Hidoshi and brings his fist down into his back, sending him plummeting towards the scorched Earth. Kataki lands a few feet from the cloud of dust kicked up from Hidoshi's impact. The dust clears by Hidoshi is no were to be seen. Did he run away or is there something greater at work here? Kataki hears a noise behind him and sends a Ki blast sailing into the distance: nothing. It impacts the rolling hills, further scarring the landscape. Kataki can feel his enemy moving around him, but his movement is so erratic Kataki could swear Hidoshi shared a teleportation technique similiar to his. Kataki laughs this off.

"Show yourself, coward!!"

Tetra was at the Akatsuki base, when she heard the yelling. "Did you hear that?" she asked one of the other members. "Yes. I did. What do you think it was?"

"I don't know, but Shukaku's beginning to get restless... maybe it's the fox kid."
"Then go get him!" said the other member.

On her way, she was communicating within herself with Shukaku.
So, what got you so restless, buddy?
Don't call me that. Shukaku replied. Besides... I sense the Fox's chakra.
You sure, Shukaku?
You KNOW I'm sure!!!
Well then... This should be fun...

When she reached the place, It was a desolate place. "heheheh... The best battlefield for me..." All the rocks that had been shattered into sand began to swirl around her, forming a spiraling cloud of sand around her body. All of a sudden, it closed on her. When it opened, it appeared as if nothing had happened, but something did.

Her black cloak was blowing in the wind that was sweeping the area. "So... which one of you is the one with Kyuubi?" Her eyes flashed red, then back to blue. It was a sign Shukaku was ready to fight. As long as she lived, Shukaku would, which is why he aided her. She had developed a slight friendship with Shukaku over the years.

She prepared for the fight. Sand covered her arms to make giant sand arms with claws on every finger of each hand. "heheheh... I'm ready whenever you are."

Hidoshi scoffed at the newcomer from his perch. He created a shadowclone which was teleporting around Kataki. He could see the Akatsuki could feel him, could see Kataki, but she had no idea of the clone.

Hidoshi launched himself from his position in the distant treeline, making as much noise as possible. Kataki immediateally dashed in his direction, Tetra followed suit. A smile creased his face, "Too easy." Hidoshi smirked as he stopped, pivoted, and dashed to the right.

As he knew they would, Kataki kept coming from his direction, and Tetra stopped and made her way to cut him off. Hidoshi willed the shadowclone to stop teleporting, it reappeared inches from Tetra, who was on a full run. With a spinning kick the clone launched Tetra towards Hidoshi. Hidoshi imitated the kick and sent Tetra in Kataki's direction. The two slammed into each other sending them both sprawling.

Hidoshi and his shadowclone, made quick mirror handsigns and launched themselves in half circles towards the two. Suddenly Hidoshi could feel his clone dissapear, he stopped and looked as Kataki's hand was pointed at the clone. He could still see a small whisp of energy. Kataki turned his attention towards the real Hidoshi, this time Tetra was the faster.

She lept at Hidoshi, slashing her wicked sand claws. She was faster than Hidoshi first thought and one hand made contact with his chest. It was all fist and no claw, but it still sent him reeling.

"Always be aware of your surroundings" Hidoshi smiled as he saw the glowing ball hit the ground and detonate. He'd seen the Akatsuki's attacks before in their many attempts at taking him down, but the newcomer had amazed him with each new energy type attack. This ball exploded like a bomb, but was created in the palm of his hand. He flipped, landed on his feet and faced Kataki. Tetra was recovering so he had to act quickly.

He threw a knife straight at Kataki, the distance was too great to hit him. And as he hoped the man easily side stepped, with a quick handsign Hidoshi dashed at Kataki. As he neared the big mad likewise charged knowing he was stronger than Hidoshi and would best him when they collided.

Hidoshi had been holding his handsign till just that moment, he quickly finished it and where he stood was the knife he threw a second before. His replacement Ninjitsu switched him and the knife positions. Once he emmerged he stopped and reversed direction, Kataki was quick enough to evade the knife as it came. But in stopping he left himself wide open. Catching the knife in mid-air, Hidoshi burried his right foot straight into the small of Kataki's back. As the bigger man bent in a horrific angle, Hidoshi rolled his hips, launching the man well into the air.

Hidoshi lept up passing him, rolled forward, slamming his heel into the sternum sending Kataki straight back towards the ground. "Tiger-fire Jutsu" The technique brought forward a strem of flame from Hidoshi's mouth, it hit the ground at almost the exact second Kataki did.

Hidoshi smiled when he didn't hear screams. "I'm glad, that didn't get you. I would've hated to have had to deal with her myself." He motiond towards Tetra who was fully back on her feet. He looked to his left where Kataki was floating in the air. All three were ready to launch another assault.

~~~ Let's forget the ordering (I have nothing against it, or you, Kata). This thing will die if the order stays. Let's just post. It will last longer that way. ~~~
She looked at the fox kid, Hidoshi. "I see... you think I want to take you out? Ha!!! They sent me here for that, but do you think I always do what they tell me? I'm only here for the noises I heard. He caused them, I have to take him out. So... how about a temporary truce? As long as this goes on, I won't let the others attack you."
While she was letting Hidoshi think that over, she focused on Kataki. "I've studied the moves of past shinobi... I've mastered most. I only need 2 to kill you." The sand swirled around her. It was beginning to surround Kataki. It began to close in on him. He tried to break free, but it was impossible. "Sand Coffin." Then she balled her hand into a fist. "Sand... Burial." The giant clump of sand holding Kataki was thrust to the ground. "And Hidoshi... during this fight... I won't let you die. The fox needs to live on, just like my pal Shukaku here." As soon as she said that, she patted her stomach.
"She began to wonder if she had truly killed the man. Do you think we did it, Shukaku?
I'm not so sure about this one. This guy is different from all the others. He seems to be even stronger than the fox kid...
The truth had always been that the Akatsuki kidnapped her and sealed Shukaku within her. After that, she had almost total amnesia. She only remembered her name, and she was taken by the Akatsuki. She was raised with them since, but secretly, she hated them.
Then, suddenly, Kataki got up. "I-impossible... that should have killed him..." He was injured a bit, but he still survived. "Of all the times that this jutsu was used, it always killed..." She surrounded herself with sand once more. It had closed on her again, and seemingly did nothing. She was now clad in an armor made of sand.. It covered all but her face and her feet. Dispite this, she could still move as fast as she always could and more. Her eyes began to glow red. "Kid... prepare yourself... This guy is stronger than anything I've ever seen... If I need to... I'll use my forbidden jutsu..." She suddenly stopped. She roared in what was thought to be pain or rage. "I hope you know... I'm going to kill you!" said Tetra to Kataki.
We'll see about this order thing, tetra. I'm willing to try your idea but if it gets messy we're going with my original thought. If it rubs you the wrong way we'll continue this without you.
Kataki looks around him. His enemies surrounding him, Hidoshi to his back, Tetra to his front. Once again the meniacal Saiya-Jin lets out a bellowing laughter that echoes in the vacant air. Tetra and Hidoshi don't seem to know quite how to take this... this unbridled enthusiasm towards death and destruction.
"This game is over," Kataki wraps his laughter in a malevolent grin.
He reaches under his arms and unclips his white armor chest piece. He tosses it to the ground. He removes the scouter from his left eye and lets that drop as well.
"Was he wearing..." Hidoshi begins.
"...Weighted armor," Tetra finishes the thought.
Kataki launches a Ki attack into the air above himself. He teleports in and out of visibility erradically around his opponents.
"Why has he wasted an energy attack?" Tetra asks.
"He hasn't, brace yourself," Hidoshi warns.
But it is too late. Kataki appears before Tetra and with a ground shattering combination of melee attacks she is sent sailing up into the sky. She manages to regain control and halt herself before slamming into the hovering Ki attack. This naturally does not please Kataki as he can see his attack disappear beyond the clouds and flash as it explodes far above the earth.
The Saiyan is now enraged. He appears behind Tetra, grabs her arms and as he pulls them back thrusts his knee into her back. A scream of torture escapes her lips, but she recoils. She's not going to let this bastard know he's nearly tearing her in two. Hidoshi watches the horrific display from a distance. He doesn't know quite how to act.
Watch Kataki rip Tetra asunder? It would be one less opponent... or stop this monster Kataki from taking another life. What to do?
Hidoshi smiled as he thought of being able to be one on one with Kataki. He's a lot stronger than I thought. He doesn't realize though, the weights are not always visible
Hidoshi closed his eyes flashing his Shadowclone handsign, suddenly the air was filled with 6 Hidoshi's. "Sorry Kataki, though I'd love to see you rip that runt to shreds. I'd love to see me kill you both even more."
The 5 clones surrounded the two in a pentagram form drawing their blades with sick smiles on their faces. Obviously torn on letting this opponent go or letting her be skewered. Hidoshi called out a simple command "Finish this guys!"
The 5 simultaneously dashed towards the two warriors. As they grew close Kataki's stern expression turned into one of sheer joy. He released his grip on Tetra's arms and kicked her straight in the center of her back. As he rolled out and became upright, a defining roar escaped his lips and a blinding white light blasted out in all directions.
Hidoshi steped to the side as the blast propelled Tetra past him, and cringed as he felt all his clones dissapear. Tetra crashed to the ground and slowly rose to her feet. Hidoshi now realized the depth of his opponents power. "If you wish to stay and fight still you are welcome to join me. But I would suggest you vacate, this foe is beyond you."
Hidoshi then turned his attention to Kataki who was laughing at his enemies.
"Seems you're the strongest here. But victory is not always given to the strongest. A real warrior is always looking for ways to win." He points to the ground around Kataki.
When he glances down he sees the 5 blades the clones held. He glances back up at Hidoshi with a puzzled look on his face. When he looks up, Hidoshi finishes his handsign that activates the charges in the handles of the knives. The explosion sends the big man soaring into the air. Hidoshi doesn't move while the big man lands on his back and scrambles to his feet.
Tetra is back on her feet now and facing the group, is she going to decide to join Hidoshi against the stronger opponent. Or are they going to keep the threeway dance going?
I think the orders a good thing for now, keep it at Kataki, Hidoshi, and Tetra. That way its easier to follow. Just my opinion
Tetra was ready to assist him. "Whatever you need... I've got it!" She formed a handsign, and three words came from her lips. "Playing Possum Jutsu..." She had fallen asleep. Just what was she trying to do?
Suddenly, all the sand gathered around her to form an 80-foot tall beast that resembled a raccoon. "Heheheheh... If she trusts you, kid, I suppose I might as well go along with it!" She had let Shukaku take full control. "Wind Style: Air Bullet!" A giant gust of wind that was probably 60 times more powerful than a blast from a tank was headed Kataki's way. It was too fast to dodge but apparently not strong enough to injure Kataki, seeing as it only stunned him, pushing him back about 50 feet. "Grrrr... C'mon, kid! You've gotta help me out here, or we're both toast!"
The battle has been dragging on for hours now. After a full day of pain and death the sun begins to fade and darkness takes over the sky. The full moon creeps over the distant mountains as Kataki, Hidoshi and Tetra are locked in a three way power struggle; trading blows, and spraying blood over the barren Earth. Hidoshi and Tetra land a pair of devastating hits on Kataki and the Saiyan is sent sailing far into the sky.
Now with two opponents this battle is proving to be a bit more of a challenge than Kataki inticipated. The Saiyan gets repeatedly plummeted by attack after attack from his foes. He never quite gets his footing before another blow is layed upon him. He's infuriated that his best attempts to stave off the attacks are thwarted. The full moon now shines bright in the black sky. Kataki is panting hard, he's covered in sweat and blood. How did this happen? Something has to be done.
The moonlight bathes our warriors. Kataki smiles. A sudden burst of power is unleashed from the Saiyan's body. Hidoshi and Tetra are blow back. Kataki's building laughter seems to change to more of a roar. His muscles bulge and his eyes glow. He drops to his knees in what appears to be horrific pain. He screams and moans as his body swells and grows to epic portions. His hair mats and begins to cover his face, chest and arms. His tale snaps in the wind, his fangs drip blood, and his claws dig into the soil as he clutches the ground beneath him. Kataki is no longer himself.
Now our heroes must battle the greatest foe they have ever faced: the Ozaru.
Hidoshi starred up at the huge ape and gulped. The fear he felt at that moment was evidence enough of the creatures power. He looked to Tetra who seemed to be feeling the same way. "Keep him busy, I need about 30 seconds" the girl nodded hesitently, she was obviously frightened. "Shukaku its all you baby" She said with confidence.
Suddenly, the sand around her swirled again and the giant racoon like creature was once again summoned to the field. This time, Tetra dissapeared into the swirling sand as part of the summon.
Meanwhile Hidoshi assumed the summoning Jutsu stance, but instead of making the normal handsigns to summon his normal ally. He bit his finger, and touched a drop of his blood to his tongue. At once, the nine-tailed demon inside of him sprung to life. The pain was excrutiating, it felt as though he would be ripped apart by the sheer force of the chakra building up inside of him.
Risking a glance, he saw that the Shukaku was holding its own against the giant monstrosity. Exchanging blow after blow with the beast, being gifted at "sensing" the power of others, Hidoshi could feel the Ape was hiding much of its power. Suddenly, everything went dark and Hidoshi was standing in an ancient room with the nine-tailed fox.
"Why is it, you are trying to summon me Hidoshi? Why do you think for a second I would lend you any more of my power than you already possess?" The voice was terrifying, he'd been here once before when a summoning had gone bad. The fox could easily wipe him out here, destroy his mind and leave him a shell.
"If we don't stop this creature, he will destroy this whole planet. And you know as well as I do, if the spirits of this world perish so shall you." He knew exactally how to pursuade him to help, if there was one thing to know about the nine-tailed fox it was that it was the most self-absorbed creature ever. The only thing that mattered was self-preservation, that's why it allowed itself to be imprisoned in the body of a boy.
"Very well, go now. You have the promise of my power as long as you so shall need it."
Hidoshi's eyes snapped back open, he made his summoning Jutsu handsign and smacked the ground. The whole earth shook under the shockwave it produced. It toppeled over the giant ape and sand racoon, the hills that were scorched nearby were reduced to piles of rubble. Hidoshi couldn't fight back the scream that came from him from the sharpe increase of power, and the pain of the transformation.
The orange Aura that was the combination of his own and the foxes was replaced with the blood-red aura that was the Nine-tail fox. Hidoshi's eyes turned blood-red, then jet black. His hair turned white and he started to stretch and grow. The aura complelty surrounded him, as though he was burning alive in it, and by the screams you would have thought that was it.
The aura grew and grew until it was as large as the Ozaru and the Racoon. The darkening sky grew black, as though something veiled all the stars in the sky, and the only thing remaining was the moon. The aura flashed back, sending a burning wave that would have incinerated any life other than the fighters, if anything had still been alive close by.
The fox emmerged where Hidoshi had sat, in its full and most pure form. It matched the ape and racoon in size easily, though the look on the shukaku told of its power.
The ape must have as well, it emminated a scream as it quickly increased its power. It swung itselt into the air, grasping the racoon by the neck with its tail. As it hung there for several seconds its flipped itself over swinging the racoon like a rag-doll. Smashing her into the ground, it came down with all four paws glowing with energy.
All at once the four balls erupted in a massive explosion....when the dust cleared the racoon was gone. Hidoshi couldn't tell if Tetra had survived or not, but he wasn't going to give the ape the chance to get back on his feet.
He was on him in an instant, slashing with his tails that were like whips. One collided with the apes chest sending him staggering backwards. When he was off balance Hidoshi opened his mouth, summoning the foxes energy forward in a blood-red blast of energy. It hit home sending the ape head over heels. He waited for the ape to get back up before proceeding, he didn't have forever in this form. And he couldn't afford to hit him with lower-level attacks and just wait for the energy to dissapate....he did wonder if tetra made it or not though.
Tetra was ok. She quickly rised to her feet. "C/mon, Kyuubi, I know that you can do this. If needed... I'll lend you what strength I have left." She summoned what strength she had left. "We've got one last shot at thiis, Shukaku. If this doesn't work... nothing will..." She performed the jutsu one last time. It was all she had the energy to do. Shukakku took control one last time. "She must really be desperate to do this to me twice in a row. Are you ready to do this, Kyuubi?" He launched another attack. "Wind Style: Air Bullet!" It was down to the two Bijuu.
