Today's my birthday.

I had a McRib combo for breakfast, and I'm going to have key lime pie instead of boring ol' cake. I've got a stack of movies I'm going to watch, and I eagerly anticipate my presents.

Tell me about your favorite birthday memories.

Firstly a sincere Happy Birthday to you Mr. Maul, it's not every day you reach 20 but by the sound of it you're having a good day, which is good. Heh.

My favourite birthday memories are probably from my 19th birthday two and a half years ago, it was pretty special because I was actually in Tasmania at the time. The day started out with my enjoying the glorious weather, then my cousins and a few friends took me out for breakfast at some place in the city. The crepes/pancakes were just delicious after which we decided to head to the nearest beach for most of the day just kicking back and having fun, during which I learned I absolutely cannot surf.

After watching the sunset we went to a club in Hobart (Isobar) and...I cannot remember much about what happened there because I consumed quite a lot of alcohol, however if my cousin's photos are accurate I seem to have had a good time. :animeswea Presents included the general allotment of aftershaves, money, DVDs and books as well as a watch which holds huge sentimental value for me.

Happy birthday to you! Lately I've been in the habit of looking at the birthday box at the bottom of the homepage and searching for a username I recognize. When I do, I send the member a PM saying Happy Birthday! (I'm sure a lot of the members know what I'm talking about. I've sent quite a few!)

Anyway, my birthday's on Oct. 18 and I'm going to do my usual sleepover with my best friends! But I'm doing something unusual this year! I plan to bake my own cake! It'll be interesting because I am a terrible cook. I can wait to see it spontaneously combust or explode, implode or something!:animesmil

My favorite birthday memory is overshadowed by negative ones, but what the heck we'll run with a few good ones.

I even have a picture of one good one. ....which is too big to post here. My 18th birthday had a Twister competition and even though I was the birthday girl I still won with my innate grace and balance and ability to ignore people's arses in my face. HAH!

And my recently passed 22nd birthday was an event that was not party filled and instead a romantic down the coast to Orange County from San Bernardino. A good friend took me to an expensive Cannery Row restaurant in Newport Beach and we ate good seafood and cremé brulee. Definitely a good time. I'm getting to the point where 18 and 21 are over. So now it's up to me to make good parties.

Birthday! My last birthday was awesome. i had two cats and they were fighting on my birthday! i got a new mp3 player(although i was planning to by one myself) and $100! I spent alot of it on nail polish and art supplies. My cake was awesome and so was the ice cream! but, also, my birthday happened to be on mother's day so I ended up spending a fourth of my money on mother's day stuff, but it was cool. I would buy my mom anything because she and my dad made my birthday aweseome!:catgirl:

Strangely, after I reached a certain age, I quit caring about my Birthdays so much. For me, it is a way to get more cloths, and get sick off of cake. Never saw that coming as a child.

I think one of the most exciting ones I ever had was in either year 6 or year 7. That was the year that I was obsessed with toys and gaming culture the most. There was a particular toy that I wanted called Maniac Mouse, a rather interesting game where you would take a few hooked plastic wands and try to catch an automated yellow mouse with a loop tail that runs around randomly on the floor. I wanted that toy so bad, and I was ecstatic when I actually got that toy for my birthday.

Ah, the good ole days.

My 18th birthday with Friday the 13th.

Beat that. :p Oh, what then.

My past few birthdays have been rather overrun with people not being able to come/stay, and jealous "friends" who call people from my house at night, resulting in my little brother getting cussed out by people who called back.

My favorite in the past few years has been, though, when I came home and my little brother and grandmother had made this neon pink sign (even though I hate pink) and put it on the front door. I came inside, and there were streamers, and cookie cake, and these gorgeous tulips on the dining room table. It made me really happy. That and getting an email from my best friend in the whole world. <3

Why Happy birthday Mr. Maul! ;)

Birthdays were so much more fun when I was a kid. My parents always made my birthday special when I was little, so I have so many awesome memories.

My birthday was actually a couple weeks ago, and I wasn't really expecting much. Turning 22 really isn't so exciting. It was still a great day though. Unfortunately it fell on a monday this year. XD At work I recieved a card signed by everyone, which they do for everyones birthday anyway.

I go to Taekwondo & Muay Thai right after work so that was a blast. My instructor, knowing how crazy I am about doing abs, had everyone line up and one by one punch me in the stomach. Someone also made me brownies, knowing I'm not much for cake. They also sang 'happy birthday' aswell, which was quite funny seeing everyone all sweaty. When I got home I had a little thing with my dad and brother, nothing special.

Okay Mr. Maul first off happy belated- for the record I was at work so I haz a 'scuse. Sounds like you had a good time wait until next year.

As for myself I'm trying to remember birthdays. My most interesting (IE: The one I can vividly remember right now) one was this year. I turned twenty-seven two weeks after I started at my new job and I had to come in to work for a staff meeting and for some med training classes. I was sitting in class and got a call from my friend Angel up in Alberta- the voicemail was her singing 'Happy Birthday' Off key and adding that she'd keep singing but I'm her friend. Then during the staff meeting after the basics they did the run down of birthdays because everyone gets a ten dollar Target gift card on their birthday. So everyone found out it was my birthday and my SUPERVISOR started singing happy birthday.

I had a lot of texts and emails from my other friends who either live out of town, out of state or out of the country. I also got some 6Teen DVDs from my friend Angel, a shirt and a necklace from my friend Lisa, a jewlry box from my boyfriend, a necklace w/ a butterfly and a 4-leaf clover and a t-shirt from my parents and a t-shirt from my brother with Audrey Hepburn on it. As well as money from other relatives.

Trying to think back... most of my elementary day birthdays were good, I played some games and got some Barbies. My birthday in Texas was pretty crappy. I turned twenty-two in 2003 and the most interesting thing that happened that day was my mom calling me and saying: Happy Birthday old lady. My ex husband couldn't even be bothered to say happy birthday even though his was the week before and I even made a cake for him. And I am one hell of a baker! :animeangr

Well yeah that's all I remember for now.

My brother & I used to have joint birthday parties when we were kids because our birthdays were in early October & late November.
One year, we had a "backwards birthday party". In other words, everything was backwards: our clothes, the birthday "traditions" (ex: the guests blew out the candles), & singing the birthday song backwards.
It was a jolly good time.

(Fun fact! I'm in the black shirt being held up, & my current roommate is in the teal!)
G'tiiiiiimes.

At any rate, my greatest birthday ever shall most definitely be this Friday. I'll finally be 18, first of all. That means cigarettes, hookah, porn, lottery tickets, going to Chuck E. Cheese without an adult, & tattoos. One of my best friends & I are doing it all that night... I'm super excited.
Then on Saturday I'll be traveling down to Cincinnati to meet up with someone from the internetz. Oh myyyy goodness.
But I'm excited. Fo sho.

Oh. & happy birthday, James.

Well it's late, but I hope you had a good birthday just the same.

Most of my birthdays were pretty normal as a kid, more fun for the party aspect - though seeing that mine's on Halloween - I end up at some sort of party every year anyway. So it's not too much different now that I'm older.

And though this will only make me more of a geek in people's eyes. >_> One of my favorite birthdays when I was younger was finally convincing my parents I was serious about music. Getting them to finally get me a decent Cello was quite a feat. I'll always remember that. I was ridiculously happy over getting that as a present.

Today, I spent my birthday by sleeping half of it away. Yesterday was the school lock-in (grades 7 & 8 are locked in school all night.) and I was up far too late. Anyway, the other half I spent eating chinese food and shopping for my halloween costume. I'm 14...yay. I've always hated that number.:animedepr

Happy brfday to me, yes I know my birthday was a couple weeks ago, but it was a doozie. I had drill for pretty much the whole entire day. When we were dismissed from roll call I got home to my fiancee studying for her two tests she had the next day. I went for a run and came home to her still studying, took a bath and played COD 4 over Xbox live for the next hour. Talked to my mother on the phone, after getting off I was told "Oh my gosh sorry I forgot your birthday was today." So I went to bed :)

Least my buddies on Xbox Live remembered :)

My birthday is close to Christmas so it tends to get overshadowed by all the holiday festivities going on. One of the best that comes to mind is shortly before I moved to Utah. I went with some of my buddies to a cabin that my parents own. We hung out for nearly a week doing ice fishing, cross country skiing and generally just having a great time before we came back to town for the afore mentioned holiday.

I certainly wouldn't mind going home and doing something like that again. Not that I don't have a good time here with all the new friends I've made since then. I just remember that week since it was one of the best birthdays I ever had. And now for the real reason I'm posting in here...

Another fun thing for birthdays (not mine), since I started dating Crystia... is the combination Birthday party for her and Darren on Halloween. In addition to the watching scary movies and just having a good time, I know I'm looking forward to that this evening. So Happy Birthday you two.
