Or relieve boredum til the rain stops since I have to walk a few blocks to pick up my car then head out to get gas and go to work. Either way it should prove interesting.

Okay since I'm starting I guess I'll go start first. My signature is a strange combo. Gavin just made me a new banner out of the kindness of his heart- and the saying: YEs I'm Irish kiss me and I'll break your face is very accurate for me. I can be violent at times and I am like sixty percent Irish which in America means that you are officially that nationality. Which accounts also for my title- Je se Irelandais is French (as far as I know, my french is still bad) for I am Irish. The title is French because I'm trying to learn the language.

Back to the signature: The top and bottom lines are from a song called [I][B]Ojos de Cielos [/B][/I]which translates to [B]Eyes of Heaven[/B]. The song is Spanish and I'm trying to improve my Spanish from years of disuse. The top lyric translation is: [B]Forgive me if once I stole from your lips an I-Love-you[/B] and the bottom one under my banner is Today even if you are away I am still here, you know I can't, not without you. I like the song because it reflects my feelings in a lot of ways about my boyfriend. I'm still skittish at times. It's a beautiful song.

And finally the avi. Well you know how the Irish are- we have a lot of pride in our country and our culture despite hardships. I mean there is a reason one of the Irish sayings is: There are two types of people- The Irish and those who [I]wish they were Irish[/I] :p

[SIZE="1"]Mine have to do with geekery more than anything, though I try to make it somewhat meaningful. My av/sig pictures are of Jade, Neblim, and Dist from Tales of the Abyss, while the sig lyrics are from Paul Simon's [i]Father and Daughter[/i]. Though Nebby's a lady, I thought the lyrics fit well, since she was like a mother figure to Jade and Dist [though whether they thought of her as a mother or something more could possibly be up for debate, haha]. I'm a sucky for fluffy little relationships like that. It's also of the three in particular since the TotA anime begins this week[!], and this is a bit of prep for that.

As for my title, it's from [i]Take On Me[/i] by A-Ha. No correlation with the av/sig set, it's just a freakin' amazing song. :animesmil [/SIZE]

My title is a quote that my sister said once, and I am pretty sure I have seen it on a few shirts. It is a statement about eccentricity and going against the norm, yet still being fully you and fully human. All the while, slightly humorous. What it says to other people is really open to culture, and because I have not been here for awhile, feel free to make any statements.

My Avatar, for those who look close enough, is a statement about who I am. The person in the avvy is Lord Ilpalazzo from Excel Saga, the leader of an ideological organization called ACROSS. The mission statement of the organization: The world is corrupt, and to fix it we need to take it over. The background is an image of a church that I ripped from somewhere (I custom made it in flash MX), and this is a nice medium to represent faith, ideals, and where I have devoted my life. Combine the two, and you get a leader of faith willing to undergo hardships and impossible odds to accomplish his goal.

The banner is just an extension of the Avatar. It has the founding statement for the idea (The World is Corrupt), and the name of the organization. Ilpalazzo is in the background, with the two main members from the television show (Excel and Hyatt) featured on the front. I eventually added a purple and black gradient with a transparent spot in the middle. This... was done because I didn't like the light purple faded checkerboard pattern that was originally on the image I ripped it from. I suppose you could attach meaning about how it represents the shining light in the darkness and the kingship with purple, but it really doesn't. I just did it to look nice.


The quote down there really isn't a quote. It is something I said once. Here is the story: On another forum, there was a thread listing a news article about that school that decided to lie to its students, saying that several of their peers had been killed in a drunk driving accident. Eventually the students uncovered this, and it became an issue. My post on the thread was two simple sentences that were QFTed a few times:

"Fools. If you cannot convince someone that you are correct through honesty, then you honestly cannot say that you are correct".

It really doesn't mean that the truth will show you the way, because as everyone knows, people just don't listen. What this is, is a personal mission statement for accomplishment and progress. If you want to argue a point, you have to be sure that you are, indeed, correct about this point, and then you present this information with complete honesty. That way, the criticism and opposition you encounter can be taken honestly, and things actually get accomplished. It is more important to be correct than it is to win an argument, because a false argument won is a hollow victory.

[size=1]My avatar is something I made some... hm, maybe a year ago now. For me and Andrew's Legion of Doom - I liked it so I figured I'd use it again. And I liked Spoiler/Robin in the comics.

My title is often what I repeat when I tell people my nick name, or rather the name I'd prefer to use with strangers. It takes them about five minutes to get over it - one minute if they've got a sense of humour.

And the signature is my favourite. For one, [b]Goatotheism[/b] is to do with my RE lesson the other week. We were asked to sit on one side of the room if you were a theist, the other if you were an atheist and the other if you were an agnostic. I did sit on the atheist side because I had no choice and when the teacher asked us why I said I wasn't even an atheist. She asked what I believed in so I went "Myself!" and my friend beside went "does that count as a Goatheist?". Just picked up from there.

Literally it's the belief in one Goat - and all the silly rules that follow.

I also refuse to acknowledge zed [z] as a letter after a conversation me and Mr. Morph had haha.

The banner is an old anarchist saying that can be traced back to a Taoist battle cry. I don't believe in any gods, or masters, or that anything should be placed above us (don't mistake this for 'no government or authorities w00t!' because I believe truth should be the authority, rather than authority as the truth). I wouldn't start trying to find plotholes in this saying either because I know what I believe and it's far more complicated than you can ever put holes into.

I have no idea what my banner, avatar or signature say about me... just let other people say that really.

[size=1]My banner and avatar are taken from Ah! Megumi-Sama, also known as Oh! My Goddess! The character is Belldandy. For starters, I thought the picture was gorgeous. The quote "Heaven is no place for an angel like me" basically means that I sometimes don't feel worthy of anything. Although, sometimes, it feels like a nicer way of saying "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I'll take over." :]

The other part of my signature should be obvious. Jared is my boyfriend, the one I practically live with. <3 him lots.

The Earth grenade is kind of neat. Maybe it can say something about our own self-destructive nature or some deep crap like that. But when it comes down to it, i chose it simply because i thought it was "cool."

Maybe subconsiously i thought it was cool because it implied some deep meaning... or maybe i very consciously liked it because i saw the picture and thought that it would be easy for any person with half a brain to assign some sort of deep meaning to it themself.

Still, i think it's neat.

My avatar is an image of Alex DeLarge (my usernamesake), as A Clockwork Orange is one of my favourite films and one of my favourite books. There's nothing much deeper than that - I should probably get a new set at some point, but I can't think of anything better at the moment.

As for my title, Divorced From Reality seems to be a fairly good description of me. It suggests that I was once close to reality, but I have since become distanced from it. Just look at some of my lies in other Lounge threads, and you'll see how "Divorced From Reality" I am.

Signature: The banner I made based on the movie Labyrinth. Labyrinth being one of my favorite movies. I wanted to test some of my abilities by rendering Jareth. I have had trouble in the past with spiked/wild hair. The lyrics under the banner are from the labyrinth movie song Underground. My second favorite song from the movie.

Avatar: The avatar is of Jareth. He was my favorite character from Labyrinth. I'm a David Bowie fan so that added to why I used a Jareth avatar vs. a Sarah avatar.

Well I think it's obvious that I like classical music, with the user name, custom title and avatar of a piano. I also had a matching banner until I changed it to match with Beth for an rpg that we are both in.

The quote is from the chat over at theO, if something there or on AIM strikes me as funny, I'll stuff it in there. The banner for the Shingami Dance just shows how much I really love being in a really good rpg and the says above and below it merely fit the banner (if you are familiar with the rpg that is).

I think the Des fan club is self explanatory. o_O The other stuff relating to Beth was actually back from when we became really good friends, long before we actually met in real life.

So all in all, my signature, title and avatar reflects things that are not only fun, but important to me in my life.

I don't even know which of his works it's from, I just know that I agree with it. No matter how pretty your words may be, if there is no action to back them up, they are far from being eloquent. Though the same can be said of one's actions. I put it there since I've always liked that saying ever since I first heard it.

The avatar is one that was here already, I just chose it because that's what I'm currently playing (Tales of Symphonia) and I like that character. I can do fairly basic graphics, but I'm too lazy to be bothered at the moment.

There is no signature since I don't know if I want to stuff anything in there or not, we'll see. For now it can just stay empty. However since it is empty, I'll explain something else instead. My user name is my real name. I'm a little surprised that it was actually available for use. [/FONT]

Well my signature is as old as I am (on the boards speaking.). It was my first attempt at poetry, and it was significant to the time in my life when I joined the boards. I thought it was catchy and made it my sig. after a few days of me being here, and it just stayed. I've thought about adding a banner to it, or something else. But everytime I do I change my mind, I have added the occasional hyperlink to a story I'm involved with, but that's been it.

My avi has changed a million times. I've just never bothered with a picture that said anything about me. It changes with the seasons it seems. I'm in the process of saving up for my first tatoo here soon. I'm thinking that I'm going to get a picture of it when its all done and see how it looks (if not I'll just scan the image I had drawn for it) and post it. That will probably end up being like my signature and stay, well until I have my first child and I add to my tatoo.

Let see, my signature is just my usual love of beautiful nature scenes. In this case a waterfall in TN. The bit underneath it are people on the boards who's sense of humor, intelligence and maturity all remind me of my daughter. Thus it is my [I]adoption[/I] list since they remind me of her.

The title is simply who I am and have been for quite some time and the avatar is merely an extension of the signature. Not much else too it really.

Sig text...the FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF underneath is an expression/meme originating from 4chan, used to express extreme emotion [usually anger or extreme sadness]. It's befitting of the original image [in which Layton is pretty much stabbing a DS repeatedly...a scenario many DS owners relate to]. The other text in the sig is just basically informing people of my name change, a change back to my first name on here, and my monkier for pretty much everywhere else on the internet.

And the title is part of the song Kuusou Rumba, the OP to Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, a song I've probably had continuously blast in my ears all week.[/SIZE]

My avatar is David Tennant as the Doctor from [I]Doctor Who[/I], which is the single longest fan obsession I've had in my life (23 years in fact). The Doctor has always been my one true hero, and Tennant portrays the character so wonderfully.

My title is inspired by something George Carlin once said, that he was Catholic until he "reached the Age of Reason." While he had his problems in life, Carlin was not only a great comedian but also a great philosopher and spokesperson for truth and honesty.

Part 1 of my signature is a quote from a classic [I]Doctor Who[/I] episode. I think it is one of the great quotes of all time and a very apt statement.

Part 2 of my signature is a banner for RichardDawkins.net. Dawkins is a great proponent of truth, reason, and science, all of which are things I fervently believe in.
