outlawstar69
It all started in the near future; a faceless baby born who could speak. Not just words, he evoked, but Ideas - he talked, held up by caregiver after caregiver, and people Listened... listened, too much. At first, he was a celebrity, gaining mass approval ratings higher than any politician. He suggested the idea that he indeed, become one - and who could argue, with the innocence of the newborn? It wasn't long, before a mass cult revered him; when things became... so wrong. Like mindless herds, they followed; regardless of what he said - How could the Miracle Leader, ever say anything to lead them astray? The skies grew red, and it stopped raining everywhere across the lands. Unbelievers were shot on sight, and wild packs of dogs roamed the street; worse than wolves, because they feared no man, considering each straggler a meal for the Pack. Hunger, death lay everywhere... but not panic, since all was right, for those who believed in the Leader. Status, monuments, and temples were built, and a golden throne made. There grew to be, that more blood than water ran through the streets; watering the festering crops that remained. Not one of his believers said anything, when he finally grew a face. They couldn't, since they had to give up their own, the sacrifice needed. What dreams, what folly... ********* Now the real question is, do you think this was this inspired by the new multivitamin pills I was taking ( 8 a day ), or the 3 weeks of fasting for Ramadan previous to this? Tetra of sound
I have absolutely no idea. All I know is I had an apocolyptic dream, but it was much simpler, and occurred twice. A meteor was hurtling towards my house, and I was the only one who noticed it. Nobody believed I saw the meteor. Then we died. The second time - same thing, but me and my dad walk out of the house (somehow we survived) in spacesuits, and there were these shiny shards of something. It shined like aluminum foil. Basically, I had no idea what mine meant, but yours is more apocolyptic than mine. I doubt it is the vitamins, though. The fasting, maybe it had something to do with it. My gut says psychologist, but my brain responds with "No!! Psychologists are evil!!!"
Drizzt Do'urden
I would say the fasting would be the main cause. You're depriving your body of nutrients it soley needs (which is why I assume you are taking the multi-vitamins now). Also,( though I don't know much about Ramadan, if I'm not mistaken its a muslim practice correct?) anytime you get involved with deep religion we all have thoughts like these. I'm not sure how the world end in your religon, but that type of end is typical for christians, the anti-christ and the great tribulation. It could also have nothing to do with either of them. If you've experienced a change in your life recentally, even a small one, your mind could be reacting to it in a "oh this is the end of the world" sort've thing. I've got a lot more I could say on the subject, but I'm probably going to bore someone. As far as me, i've never had an apocolyptic dream myself. Instead my dreams usually revolve around dying protecting someone I love. It's a trend that has been going on for the past year or so, it's actually sort've depressing to have every dream, that you can remember, be about dying. And when I say dying I don't mean almost die and wake up, I mean full blown die and in some cases see my own funeral from a floating above perspective.
