Experimental Comic Panel

I drew this a good while back as an experiment. I just wanted to get an idea what my comics would look like at my current skill level so I chose a random small panel from an old comic of mine and redid it. I like the results; I'm not quite sure how I would feel about using textures in the background often but it didn't turn out too bad here right?

Thanks for looking.

It's about time this thread got a reply! Though honestly I do not know what to say more than "Looks good!" or something alike. Because well, it looks really good. The colouring is well done and the line art is really sharp. But well, I guess it is mainly about the texture right now anyway...

I am not sure whether it really adds a lot to the picture. The texture of the wall reminds me of either liquid or marble whereas I am pretty sure you were going for metal. In that case, I think you might want to go for more linear texture instead of blobbish texture.

But I would like to see any more of that comic you talk about. :3

I really like the coloring but I woud imagine how much of a pain it would be to color the whole entire page if you were planning to color the whole thing like this one panel. I agree with Boo though. The textures used right now on the background wall makes it look like marble or some type of stone.

No, the background isn't supposed to be metal, it is more like marble.
I fell in love with Adobe Photoshop 6.0 a loooooooong time ago, I've tried the newer versions but to me 6.0 serves my needs just right, it's got great customization options and while I do miss one or two things that I tried out in the new versions I always come back to 6.0.

Thanks for looking and sharing your thoughts.
